I paid 96$ for the Groupon they charged me another 130$. My Groupon said redeemed on the app. On top of that, all the services advertised were not provided. No hot stones no body scrub. I asked for a receipt they refused. I asked to pay with a card.They said they were charging me a 10$ to 15$ dollar fee to do that. Worst experience ever. They just went and let me know that the man and woman working there were unprofessional during their massage, talking with each other the entire time. The man massaging my dad kept coming in and out of the room, and even ANSWERING HIS PHONE during the massage. On top of that they cut the 50 minutes short and instead only gave a massage of a little over 35 minutes. Since the massage had been paid for by me in advance, the man and woman still demanded a tip. She didn't say anything but then, on top of getting less time, was charged $75 instead of $65. She used my card to pay, so I will also be disputing the charge. I called, got a great price for a gentleman's facial and a foot massage. So I drove on over and was greater by Vivian, who was to be the facial lady and Mary for the foot massage. I will say that I was a bit nervous, never having been to a skin care place 5 of these ladies were all business and very polite and friendly. Would rate it a zero but Yelp doesn't allow it. I was highly disappointed with the service. My boyfriend and I went in for a couple's massage and we walked out uncomfortable and dissatisfied. My boyfriend's neck was somewhat tense but not bad. When we walked out he said that his shoulder and neck hurt a lot. However, when I showed up, a male masseuse was assigned to me. No other masseuses were available. Room. The room had a sliding room. If anyone in another room was loud, you could hear them. The massage bed was comfortable, however, it was next to the facial machine, which did not add positively to the vibe. The room temperature was also too cold. Massage. The masseuse was ok. I found this massage place randomly on yelp. I never knew it existed in the city of Orange! It's very close to the block/the outlets. Parking is available in the small private lot, next to a new "healthy" Mexican restaurant and Pita Hot. They have a yelp deal, but you don't have to get it through yelp. They already have the deals in the store. I really needed a massage/time to relax due to a lot of stress. I was hoping that Suphattra's would help, but after the hour I felt more groggy.. I paid $59 for an hour of Thai + Swedish massage. Thy was really gentle - she was new, so maybe that was why she was more timid. I used a groupon that cost only $69 for a 1 hour long massage + 1 hour long facial. Facilities are new and clean. Why only 3 stars you may ask? MASSAGE: I can't quite put my finger on it, but something important was missing. Although the massage was decent, she didn't quite work out the knots and kinks in my back that I had hoped. Although it was a thai massage that involved stretching, it wasn't as intensive as other thai massages that I have had and seemed more like a watered down version. There was a lot of gentle rubbing which I may or may not like. Since my muscles were really sore from wakeboarding the day before, I was disappointed by the lack of umpth in my massage. FACIAL: I haven't gotten very many facials in my life, but the ones that I have gotten left me feeling pampered and my face clean. This facial consisted of a face wash with a thick creamy soap that I didn't like the feeling of. Then she wiped off the soap slowly with wet wipes. Then she put on a thick cold exfoliating cream. Then wiped it off slowly with wipes. She did some extractions which I think made some my acne worse, and then told me that I had really great skin, so she was just going to moisturize and put on sunscreen for me. *shrugs* The service is so excellent, and everyone was so attentive. I believe he undid a couple of tight knots that I had lingering on my back. I was so relaxed after the hour massage that I caught myself snoring. I also got the multi vitamin facial with Sherry. I highly recommend Sherry she not only massaged my face but also massaged my neck and arms as my face was being exfoliated, it was wonderful. The receptionist was my "therapist" and it seemed to me like she didn't know what she was doing. She was a very sweet lady and that was great but during a massage I just want to lay there and forget the world. But she did a good job I think her name was shari. Next came the facial and that was terrible. I've only had one or two facials but this was just terrible. I think the lady's name was Lydia. Again seemed very nice. I think she was using an extractor on me or something and kept pushing too hard. Then I got a mask on me for like 15 minutes it was washed off and I was done. Well, I tried to give them another shot and they didn't want my business. I called to make an appointment the first week of July and told the receptionist I had a Groupon. She said they were booked the entire week. I called again the following week and she then told me that they were now booked for the next two weeks except for two time slots, both of which I was working. I find this ridiculous considering the place closes at 9pm weekdays. I'm pretty sure that they are both: 1. Over-marketing on websites like Groupon and Travelzoo. 2. They only reserve a small amount of appointments for the above mentioned website deals. This is very bad business! I proceeded to request a refund from Groupon, because I couldn't make an appointment over the course of three weeks. Their representative asked if they could contact Suphattra's on my behalf. I said yes and I did receive a call from the receptionist the next evening at 5pm asking if I could come in right now. That would be a no. Wow. I must say that reading some of the more negative reviews of this place does make me cringe. And out of all honesty, I can understand where they're coming from but I'm a firm believer of trying out a place more than once before you review it. And so, I did. Take it from someone who's been here once a month for the past 8 months AS WELL as being a frequent visitor of other spas in the OC area (big Massage person, if you can't already tell, lol) - for what you pay for here, it's well worth it. I appreciate small businesses like Suphattra's because they make it affordable for the working class to experience a "Spa Day". Unlike larger corp chains like the one down the street at the Block, you can seriously get an awesome 1hr long rubdown and a facial for under $100 bucks. Also, touching base on some of the reviews that complain about the promos being the same price as their normal menu, a lot of you would probably like to know that this location had changed mngt about 6 months ago, which means that they've actually lowered their prices to match these promos daily. Kinda nice of Management, in my opinion. Despite these small flaws, I haven't yet run into a masseuse at this location that didn't know what they were doing. I like deep massages, and no matter who's in house that day, each has a different technique but the result is the same. I walk out relaxed and refreshed. Monique and Hannah are faves of mine. I found this massage place through the Travelzoo daily deals. It is beautifully decorated and has a Thai theme throughout. I heard the workers speaking Vietnamese so I think they are actually Vietnamese but I guess it doesn't really matter. They're just ASIAN to people who don't know the difference. When I called to make an appointment, I was sad to find out that Travelzoo had the incorrect information and they are actually only open until 6PM (Travelzoo said 9PM). Their last appointment is usually 4PM. I made an appointment for Saturday afternoon because I wanted to have it done the same time as my fiance. When I got there at 1:50. I had to wait about 15 minutes because the appointments before me ran a little later. Once inside, it was definitely very relaxing. IT IS A REAL THAI MASSAGE, The masseuse actually climbed on top of me and stretched my body out and everything. This could definitely make you uncomfortable if are not expecting it. Haha. The massage was awesome and the facial came with a tiny massage. The masseuse and the facial lady were great although they ended about 10 minutes early which kind of irked me. Overall, I would definitely come back. It was an awesome massage especially for the price. I would not pay the retail value which is supposed to be $170. I think the Travelzoo deal was a great price and they offer it in-store also. I actually ended up buying the deal through them because when I made an appointment she told me the deal would not expire if I bought it through their store. I took my sister and I to this place after purchasing the deal on travelzoo. The package was 1 hr facial and 1 hour deep tissue massage for $59. I thought this was best deal ever and even thought it was too good to be true and it sure was. I will say a positive thing was the rooms were really nice. The massage was a typical Thai massage, they stretch you and get on top of you which is fine. The therapist had rough hands and didn't seem to have put enough oil on my back. So every time she ran her hands down my back I could feel her roughness on my back. Not the best feeling. She didn't seem to know how to work my muscles either, she was all over the place and this was definitely not a deep tissue massage. Then the facial was one of the worst facials I've had. They used some handy wipe like clothes to wipe down your face after each application. Other place uses hot towels, this is the only place that uses these wipes and warm water. They reuse them in between each application. The worst part is they use the same water and don't change it out. The thought ran across my mind, was this is gross!! By the third time the cloth started to deteriorated and the threads started running across my face. All I was thinking was I want this to be over you know it's not good when you want your massages or facials to end early. They really need to change their ways if they want people to come back. I fell asleep for almost the whole hour because it was so relaxing but I didn't like how I didn't really get to choose between a female or male masseuse. The upsell started, trying to go from Swedish to combo Thai. I stuck with my Groupon and waited a bit as they were running behind. FYI the parking lot is full at lunch so you have to hunt for a spot. Once in, the place is nice. They have a boatload of TVs there. I think every room. Not normal for a massage place. It was well appointed and comfortable. Tina was great. They told me I didn't need to buy the Groupon and they also told me to pay in cash (even though they took my credit card info over the phone to reserve my appointment). This seemed kinda fishy, but whatever. I've never had a facial before, but I don't think the one I had was very good. I have pretty clear skin already, but I was still able to come home and do plenty of extractions myself. I didn't feel relaxed during this process because I could hear everything going on in the room next to me and the girl was pretty rough on my face. The massage was ok. It's a $40 massage. I don't expect the best one, but I think it was worth what I paid for it. The therapist was very quiet (which I like) and when I asked for more pressure, it was no problem. My only problem is they never told me I was going to have a male therapist, so this made me uncomfortable at first. Ended up being an ok massage though. Luckily Suphattra's Retreat had an opening on the last day and I was able to redeem my voucher! It was fairly easy to locate off Chapman. Upon entering and filling out paperwork, to my surprise I was half an hour early for my appointment but they took me to the back anyway which was great. The room embodied serenity with mood music playing, dim lights and an inviting massage table/bed. My masseuse was Mimi and she asked me some questions about what areas I would like her to focus on, how long ago I had a massage, etc. Shortly after she got started and I began to relax. The main reason why I give this place 5 stars is because of the complimentary upgrades Mimi gave me and I didn't even ask! I received a hot stone massage instead of the Thai/Swedish massage that came with the voucher. As for the facial, she did the moisturizing facial instead of the European facial, which goes to the dermis layer and not just the epidermis. Since it was my first time ever getting a facial, she took the time to explain the different steps to me, which I thought were considerate and helpful. PROS: - Hot stone massage is a completely different feeling, with Mimi incorporating some of the stretching of the Thai massage, but still using hot oils and rubbing (ranging from mild to deep). - Very nice masseuse, Mimi, went above and beyond for customer service! She was amazing and I will request her as my masseuse next time I return! - They offered the same deal on the vouchers, but with no expiration date and no limit. You can give them away as gifts too! I came in here awhile back on a Living Social Coupon and I really wanted to fall in love with the place. The pics were great online, and it seemed nice and big, but it felt kind of a disconnect. It's easy to find and is right off the Orange fwy. I popped into the Jack in Box nearby to use the restroom first, and scope out the neighborhood, plenty of parking wax also good. I talked to Mimi a bit while filling out the intake form, and checked out the cornucopia of plastic flowers, a little kitschy..I was taken back to the room by Vivian, and was given a competent massage using various techniques, but NOT a true Thai massage IMO. Gone were the extensive manipulations and compressions and stretches in groups of 3, ad well as the stretches and Senn Line energy focus. I once was told by an Asian friend that "Thai Massage is yoga for lazy people", a bit simplistic, but basically true. I guess what was missing mainly for me wad the INTENT. Viv and Co. may be worn down by the grind of keeping a business open, or I caught them on an off-day. I had the same experience how hard to make an appointment here when they knew I was going to use the Groupon voucher.I had to call 3 times in 3 weeks until I got my appointment set. I used Groupon voucher with several places before never had this problem. Other than that this place tried to make you pay additional $$ the most I've ever seen. The facilities and location are nice and clean but like other comments, I didn't feel relaxed because I could hear the noises in next door room. I paid $40 on Groupon for a facial massage but then the therapist told me I have to pay another $15 for extraction and another $15 for mask. What could I do? I was already there, laying on the bed and hoping I would get the same services like other places. I know $40 is cheap but when every other place I went (and paid about the same or oven less), they did the extraction and mask without charging more money. So I walked out the place spending $80 including tip and didn't have a relaxing time.I'd definitely go back to my Korean therapist which she offered me $35 for an hour facial massage with full service at no additional cost except tips. read more

My boyfriend got treatment done at this spa and he said he really enjoyed the service here. They took their time and removed the black/white heads that was plaguing him. I bought the special they had here. Facial & massage. Call them, they might have that special still. The owner, this cute tiny lady was very sweet. I like owners that are active in their business. I would definitely come back here if I didn't work for a day spa myself. read more

So I've been reading about this place for a while and you can see it off the 5 freeway. I have been wanting to stop by here for a while, but then I came to yelp and saw the rating and it kind of deterred me but today after work, I really just wanted somewhere that I could relax for about an hour, Burke Williams and Glen Ivy, too expensive for just an hour so I decided to come here, now, I've been to many spas and to many places calling themselves spas, and this place delivered what I wanted. I know that it's a small business, but they should really think of hiring a receptionist to at the front. I waited for 10 minutes in front for someone and had to call out a couple of times for someone to come to the front. I know some of the complaints are that they expect gratuity, but in reality every place expects a gratuity now, so they're not the only ones. Well, Amber was the masseuse that I had for my $35 Swedish Massage, she was actually really great! She applied the appropriate pressure and focused on what I had asked her prior to starting. She did not offer me anything and I enjoyed it! I hate talking during my massages. At the end of the massage, I heard people talking in the front, there were about 5 people in the lobby getting very loud, people are trying to relax there so that wasn't very professional but other than that, the experience was pleasant. Terrible facial! She didn't even know what type of products she was using and left the room for 20 minutes during the 1 hour after putting on the face mask. When I asked her what she was using she said I can not understand you speak slower....the receptionist said it was because she did not speak good English and said when she came out she didn't know how to answer the questions about the products. Then after my facial was done they said the massage i had an appointment for there was a problem and the Massage therapist that I was booked with was with a walk in client. Not a relaxing experience and had me wait until she was ready. They also do not have robes for guests and during the massage they said they ran out of lotion. :( Save your money or go somewhere else!! read more
