After my initial review, I was obviously unhappy with my massage and just move on from it. But the owner reach out to me a few times (due to different schedules) and trying to see what was the problem and explained my concerns on my last visit. I purchased a groupon for a full set of classic lashes and a 2 week fill, and called to make an appointment. The lady picked up and said she's busy and will call me back. I never got a call back the same day, so I called again the next day and finally made an appointment. Went in on Monday, and the lady kept pushing me to get the mink lashes for an additional $10. I kept saying I'm happy with classic, as I've gotten at 4 different places, and the mink is too much for me. She insisted and said the classic just looks " fake ", so at this point I got worried and said sure, let's do mink for an additional charge. In the process of putting pads under my eyes, my eyes they kept getting watery because I hadn't done extensions in a long time and my eyes are sensitive, but she made me feel bad and made noises of frustration because she had to put new pads. I left the place liking my eyelashes despite the bad customer service and thanked her. 24 hours later, my lash line started itching badly and got puffy. I went back in the morning and she said I was having an allergic reaction and to immediately remove them. I told her i have never had an allergic reaction to the glue before and it might be because of the mink, since they add multiple lashes to each lash, which might have caused irritation (i read online). She kept saying " no, you don't understand, I've been doing this for a long time so i know " and said those things happen sometimes and it could have been stress, lol. In the process of removing them, my eyes were burning really bad. I expected to at least be offered a refund for my $10, but on top of not offering that she said I have a credit of $25 for next time I come for my " fill ". I was in shock. My groupon included a full set with a fill for free. Thankfully, Groupon has been extremely understanding and helpful with the situation. I can understand things go wrong sometimes and I might have just had an allergy to their glue, but considering this lady's attitude and not even having offered anything or apologized, I'll never go back. I got my lashes done by yo yo because of Groupon which I paid them directly so they get full money. I drove there from Irvine because of the price but still paid $20 more for better lashes which fell off in 2-3 days. I contacted her and sent her pictures of the lashes and instead of informing me that there was nothing she would do for me she made me drive there during rush hour from Irvine to argue with me and tell me it's not her fault. I didn't go there to blame anyone but to get resolution but she told me it's a day after their 2 day policy and she can fill my lashes for half price so she just wanted to make more when I already paid $69 plus $10 tip 2 days earlier. Horrible that they only care about money and not their customers. I could've been a return customer and referring my f/f. I went to yelp to post a review because I felt so displeased and MINUTES after I posted it the business owner named John contacted me and apologized for my experience. He offered a free massage for me and my boyfriend and even offered my money back in addition to a complimentary massage. I was beyond flattered and shocked by the service and effort to make things right. I am grateful that this company went out of their way to make their amends.
