A thirty plus year journey for me to find wellness has been found. Thank you Nancy From the start I felt I actually found a therapist who may help me, and during COVID of all times. It appears it took a pandemic for me to find the right therapist! I honestly did not believe I would find success on this journey at my age, but I now believe I have a positive future, and I firmly believe healing can happen as long as you do the work, and find someone who knows how to work with you and more importantly, find ALL your root causes as Nancy has done with me. God really works in mysterious ways. Amazing stuff for me. Nancy figured out I was a mess pretty quick so we began weekly sessions, and to this day, there has never been a session that is the same. Each week something new was found and worked on, eventually each year something new was introduced to help us continue progress with my wellness journey; Theragun, to a Bamboo Stick AKA Sheila (I hate Sheila. Shh), and at that point, I happily became a case study for her sister, Ms Hillary who is a future Physical Therapist in training. That was very rewarding to actually have a licensed massage therapist and a future physical therapist in training, assisting you on your wellness journey. We had a few sessions which provided me deeper understanding as to just how bad my condition is. Thank you Doc for allowing this too. So Grateful. In my thirty plus year journey for wellness, I have been thru five chiropractic programs (each a minimum of 3-6 months), two acupuncture programs (one program for 5 years), two orthopedic surgeons (no surgery), one physical therapy program, numerous medications, countless massage therapists and alternative eastern treatments; all satisfied the issues in the moment, but did not even come close to figuring me out, or even trying to figure me out. Timing is strange, but one thing for sure, Nancy is a healer. My wellness journey is far from over, but the ever difficult mystery to find a therapy center with the best massage therapist to support my mission has now been solved as we are looking forward to "maintenance" massages very soon. read more

When your body sends you messages, you need to listen. I was long overdue for a massage and knew I needed to find a solid place that wouldn't break the bank. I called for a next-day massage for two and the Body Therapy Center was able to accommodate us. The person handling the phones was so kind and had a gentle demeanor, even though I'm sure I sounded stressed and unsure. They asked me call back to confirm the appointment just to be sure, which is totally understandable. I called back the next day and I was looking forward to my appointment the entire day. My appointment started on time and I had the good fortune of being placed with Denise. I'm the kind of person who tends to hold tension in the upper back and shoulders, and my belief is that I'd rather endure the painful release of knots than to allow them to continue affecting me. Fortunately, Denise is no nonsense when it comes to searching, targeting, and annihilating knots; I told her to have at it and to not hold back. She checked a few times, which I appreciated; I affirmed that I wanted her to do her worst and I would let her know if it was too much. By the end of the massage, I felt like a new woman and, though it's only a few hours after, I already feel quite sore. Denise warned that I might have some bruising after the massage, it's a small price to pay for excellent deep tissue and releasing stubborn knots that were causing my quality of life to suffer. I'm so grateful I came across Body Therapy Center and Denise, and I will definitely be returning in the future for more massages. read more

I am a 27 year old who stays physically active by weightlifting 4 to 5 days a week, and I also participate in other sports such as basketball and golf on a regular basis. I've had my fair share of injuries throughout the years, and an accumulation of muscle tightness/soreness/pain from lack of adequate stretching and body maintenance. I stumbled across Body Therapy Center and the therapist Nancy after straining my back and needing much work; I don't regret scheduling that appointment. Nancy listens to where you are having aches and pains, and uses her expertise to help the body heal. Decent bang for your buck, but I really disliked that they rubbed my back most of the time just over the sheet. No oil. Nothing. I asked for deep tissue massage because let's be honest, sometimes you get people who barely even touch you, and I needed some firm hands and some serious relaxation. My massage was pretty painful. She used her elbow a lot of time, and regardless of asking her to ease up on the pressure, I just had to really breathe through it. Like I said, not terrible, but the ladies at the nail salons do a far better job in my opinion. I will not be going back unfortunately, even though everyone was respectful and nice there. My neck and spine are ruined after coming here. I never write negative reviews, but after a week of neck and back pain I don't want anyone else to ever have to endure what I went through after coming to this place. Esther did my massage and I also got an adjustment from the man who works in the front after my massage as well. By the time I got home, my neck started to spasm and I was paralyzed the entire night. Could not move, lay down, get up without assistance. The slightest movement of my body, breathing, even eating hurt so much. I was literally crying all night and had to take so many pain killers just to fall asleep. By the way... I came in with NO body aches. I actually came in to do a couples massage with my husband as a fun activity together but one of their staff called in sick 2 hours before our massage (and we both had already taken the day off since there's only specific days they do couple massages). So instead of a couples massage we had to do massages at separate times. So while he was getting his done, I had to wait for an hour by myself in the waiting room. And when I went to go get mine done, he had to wait an hour by himself as well. Was not how we wanted it to go, but we get people calling in sick. So whatever, we didn't make a big deal out of it. We still tipped well and went home. Once I got home, I took a shower and after my shower is when my neck and spine cramped up or whatever this horrible sensation is. I was sobbing. My neck and spine have never been in this much pain. I'm only 30, never been through pregnancy, never had any issues with my neck or back. I called the next day starting from their opening time and no one picked up the phone or took my call back until around 5pm that evening. I explained how much pain I was in and how it's affected my ability to work at my job, drive (cause I can't turn my neck), or even do normal activities at home. The man who works there just explained that was "normal" when the season turns cold and that I should keep my neck covered and warm.... I hoped he would offer to have me come back and help alleviate the pain, but no such thing was offered and there was no call back this entire last week checking up on if I was still in excruciating pain. Well...It's been a week now and I still have trouble just lifting my head to get out of bed. Either someone has to help lift me up or I have to slide off the bed carefully which takes a long time. Driving is still dangerous.I don't want to go out, eat, move, even just laying down. Everything is painful. I've gotten massages and adjustments my whole life and have NEVER had anything like this ever happen. I will never come back. I write this review because I know I read reviews before going into a new place and I would not want anyone else to get injured after receiving services here. My life and body have been negatively impacted and I wish I had never come here. read more

My sister referred me to Nancy who is a phenomenal masseuse. I usually call in because they are by appointment only. The woman at the front desk is always friendly and willing to accommodate when I need to re-schedule. I've only been to Nancy and she is amazing at targeting my knots and focusing on my pain areas. Two days after my visit, I PR'd on my front squat and four days later I competed. $41 for a one hour session?? Wow. There is a chiropractor on site also. Cozy room and nice people here. A friend who referred me told me that I had to ask for Denise and the others were not as good. Make sure you do the same. Sports Therapy at it's best. Injured? Sore? This is a must try. Important Points: 1) ASK FOR DENISE 2) $41 for a 1 hour body massage 3) There is a $2 charge if you pay with card so bring cash to avoid that! I have been here a few times before for full body massages as well as chiropractic adjustments but I just had a massage done by Denise and it was probably the best massage I have ever received in my entire life. I asked for Denise specifically today due to her reviews on yelp being so great. And I have to agree with the hype, she is the best. When I first met her, she asked me if I wanted a full body massage or if I wanted to focus on a particular part of my body. I told her that I exercise 5 days a week for 2 hours a day. My daily workouts include warming up with cardio, stretching out with yoga then lifting weights. Since summer is right around the corner, I have been increasing the weights and I have been SOOO sore - especially on my upper back, shoulders, chest and glutes. She took all of this into consideration when she massaged me and she really targeted those areas. I asked for the pressure to be hard and she did a great job of balancing the hard pressure with soft pressure so that I could take a second to breathe in deep. You won't regret it if you get a massage with Denise. Especially at a $41 price point. I tipped her 20%. She deserved it! Sad to have been charged $2 more because I paid with my credit card but it's okay, I'll remember to bring cash next time. read more

I found this place thanks to YELP and wow!!! Just left from my appointment with Nancy and she is literally so AMAZING and so sweet. She really took the time to understand where my pain was and help get those knots out I can tell she is really passionate about her work bc she took the time to understand my body and where it hurts within the first 30 min my body already felt at ease and a relief to finally relax again. Also as I was checking out the guy who rang me up is Dr.Z and I asked him if they also do adjustments and he kindly got me in within a couple minutes after my massage, I liked how he didn't push it he let me ask and did his work and for only 20$ you can not beat that insane how the prices are so accommodating for the quality work they do and my massage was 60$ for 1hr and half so dayum cheap I love this place Side note I drive from corona it's about 30 min drive and we'll worth it read more

Dr Z And his staff are terrific. Very positive and accommodating. The massage therapists are all excellent. They ask questions and try to focus on the areas that need treatment. I have back and leg issues and they really hit those areas hard and I feel much better afterward. Manel is particularly good at a strong massage. I was looking for a massage spot that was capable of removing stubborn knots in my back and was recommended this place. Where to even begin?! This place is the best of the best. For starters Dr. Zarrabi is the most professional, welcoming, friendly, gentle man. I began attending Body Therapy Center shortly after a accident. I had extreme pain in my neck, head, shoulders, and back. Since attending Dr. Zarrabi has made me feel like a long time patient.. I've had lower back pain for most of my life but recently it's been really bad. To relieve some pressure, I got a massage last week but while heading out the door, I tweaked it again putting away some boxes and could barely move again. I was meeting up with a friend to have breakfast but she noticed I was in a lot of pain and suggested I finally check out her chiro vs mine so I agreed. Dr. Z is old school. He owns the place and knows his stuff. He doesn't fuss with you over insurance stuff and doesn't make you take the necessary x-rays to get more money out of you. He's legit and straight forward which I really appreciated. We called for an appointment before we left and were immediately seen upon entering. Dr. Z put hot packs on my back and then left the room to attend to other matters while I hung out face down with my friend. Then, he came and examined my back and was able to tell me exactly what was wrong and for the first time, it was great to hear up front - no fuss no muss. My hips are misaligned and my spine has some issues due to my horrible posture. I will always need adjustments and massage therapy but at least the price is right here. Then he got to work. In about 15-20 minutes, he found all the sore points and cracked my back like a pro. I stood up feeling a million times better and able to walk again. I think I almost cried tears of joy. I've been here a handful of times over the years. Back then, I had an amazing masseuse named Jessica. Her room was warm and comfortable and she was able to work out any knots I had. Since then, I've had different girls and have not been satisfied at all. Also, the rooms are always way too cold and my muscles tense up when it's chilly. Called for a last minute appointment a few weeks ago on Saturday and they were kind enough to fit me in! There's ample parking and moderately easy to find. There was a nice little pond with ducks outside. Walking in, I was warmly greeted by the front desk. Paper work was not extensive. The massage itself was really nice and relaxing. I felt comfortable and was thankful to have a private room. However, my masseuse was talking quite a bit which made it hard for me to relax. I didn't have the gall to let ask her to stop talking or that I don't want to have a conversation, but did make a point to tell her in the beginning that I came to relax. Despite that, I still got a great massage and got kinks out of my neck, back and shoulder -- which is what I really came for. All for a great price! I expect to come back but with the expectation that it might not be as relaxing as I had hoped. read more

Gross!!!!!!!!! The sheet was damp when I lay on it, so I asked Sara to change it. She said, "No because the business charges me for each new sheet. But I change it every time I have a new customer." A little into my massage, the sheet felt even wetter beneath me. I got off the table and pulled back one layer of sheets. The one underneath it was soaked with the sweat of whoever was there before me!!!! I said, "Sara, feel this. It's wet." She did and said, "Ohhhhh ... okay. I'll change it now. Sorry." I didn't stay for the remaining 50ish minutes. Unfortunately, I did not have the experience I was expecting. I had arrived on time and was scheduled for an hour massage but instead I ended up waiting for my massage therapist for about half hour and she never showed up so they tried to squeeze me in with another therapist for a 30 minute massage and it felt so rushed! Oh my Goodness!!! I feel AmazingI just saw Sara for a 1 hour Massage!! She was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable. Her hands are strong and confident..I felt like I was in Heaven! My neck and shoulders were so tight, I could hardly move my head back-and-forth but now I feel so much better. I get massages on the regular but I usually go to Mission Viejo which is pretty far. Today I took a chance and just called in last minute and I got blessed with Sara. This is my second time coming to this place, first time with Sara! Im leaving this review hoping the "body therapy center' may take in account that the therapist should not wipe the sweat from herself then wipe the clients body from the same towel. Just because people are laying face down they can feel the wet towel on there skin and a pause while you wipe yourself off.........Gross Gross Gross....I mean what does it take to give the client there own Towel?
