Some background, I am a massage therapist and I had injured my right leg somehow. Issues with range-of-motiin, a lot of pain with all motion including sitting. My sciatica nerve was angry, my lower back was angry, and my hamstrings were furious!! I spoke with Han and he was super knowledgeable, and quick to act. I could easily stay for a 2 hr because the therapy hurt so good! My right leg couldn't straighten in any way, and after only halfway into the massage I could feel my muscles release. My calf stopped cramping, and my core muscles felt much better. I will most definitely see Han again for treatment. His room is very spacious and just lovely with plants and a gorgeous antique desk that I'd love to have. The only slight issue is that the business is upstairs with no elevator it's only a short flight of stairs though, and the building is in the beautiful Stevens Square downtown Tustin. If you're looking for a massage therapist that can actually help with your pain, then Han is that therapist.

On July 19, 2026, I had an 8:00 PM Thai massage appointment and didn't request a specific therapist. When I arrived, I waited until about 8:15 PM before anyone came outside to greet me. It seemed like no one was aware of my appointment, which was confusing. While I was waiting, I even called the business from inside to see if anyone would answer the phone, but no one did. Once the massage started with Cleo, it felt rushed and wasn't the relaxing experience I'd had during my previous visits. I'm not aware of massage therapist techniques, but I felt like something wasn't right during the upper body portion of the massage. My positioning wasn't corrected until halfway through the shoulder and neck work, which left me feeling uneasy. It was also fairly loud because of the restaurant next door. I understand that's outside the business's control, but if you're able to choose your room, I'd recommend requesting one that's not along the exterior wall facing the restaurant. Unfortunately, the biggest issue came afterward. Since that massage, I've experienced ongoing neck pain and nerve pain. As of August 1, I still can't fully turn my neck left or right and have had to begin physical therapy and chiropractic treatment. I understand that there are inherent risks with massage therapy and that every person's body responds differently, so I'm not suggesting this was intentional or that there are never risks involved. However, I do think it's important for the business to be mindful of therapist technique, proper client positioning, and overall client safety. I genuinely wanted to continue supporting this business because my first two visits were great, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, reviews what happened, and ensures clients receive the same level of care and attention that originally made me want to come back.

I've been in constant pain for 1.5 years, and had gone through 15 PT sessions elsewhere that actually made me feel worse. I had to get a steroid shot and 10 acupuncture sessions to help with the pain. After all these things, certain movements still caused stabbing pain on my shoulders, and my movements are so restricted that I need daily help reaching for things. I was not able to sleep without my pain in my shoulder either, which impacted my quality of life. Dr. Alison Wu has worked on me since March. She is so approachable, and she manually works on different areas of my body to help my shoulder heal. She does not ignore my pain tolerance during treatment sessions, and explains what she is doing and what I should feel as she works. Her exercises and recommendations are so helpful to maintain the progress at home. In June, I finally started sleeping through the night. I continue to sleep without pain since then, which is so very important. Each week, my range of movement continue to improve, and most importantly, the movements are not accompanied by restrictive pain. Last week, I was able to finally move myself off the couch without needing help, and I was not in pain. I cried because it was such a relief to be able to do simple movements independently without pain, and finally being able to get consistent, restful sleep. I also started acupuncture with Dr. Rebecca Chou. She listens really well and assesses my acupuncture needs during the visit. While the focus is to help my shoulder heal, she also helps my body rest. Trisha at the front desk is so welcoming and friendly, and always so accommodating. My family had to make the financial commitment to pay out of pocket for these visits, but it's worth it to regain mobility and live without pain. Faye is great! She shares an office with my chiropractor so I can get my adjustment and my massage back-to-back. She is always accommodating. She is happy to spend an entire 50 minute session working on my neck and back (which is exactly what I need). Making an appointment is quick and easy. While I do enjoy visiting the local day spa, it just doesn't work with my schedule and budget. Faye makes it possible for me to get a much needed massage on a regular basis. I have had a tough 3 years navigating an overwhelming increase with debilitating chronic pain and chronic fatigue, while also recovering from two laparoscopies due to endometriosis and pelvic pain. I thought I had tried it all (supplements, acupuncture, pelvic floor and posture therapies, yoga, meditation, various exercise programs, etc). I was recommended to try lymphatic drainage massage, and after reading the amazing reviews for Angelz Spa, I thought I'd give it a try. First off, Angelica is an angel! She is so kind and patient, and truly educated me on what my lymphatic system is, why the lymphatic system can stop working effectively, and how to keep it healthy. She has a wealth of knowledge!! Angelica introduced me to compression garments and dry brushing and suggested a gentle walking routine. Like a good student, I followed my homework, and after the first couple of sessions I felt like a new person. Over the last two months of weekly sessions, I've truly had too many WINS to count. Here are the main ones: -My swelling is significantly reduced -I am more aware of my body, and what causes my swelling. I am able to avoid triggers and/or use my compression garments to control swelling -My WBC count is the highest it has ever been and in normal range for the first time! -I have not had the GI issues that I had prior to starting MLD (which I'm SO thankful for!) -While I can't say my chronic pain and fatigue are gone, they are significantly less debilitating and my flare-ups do not last as long and aren't as frequent Thank you, Angelica!! It was a big scare for me after I pushed too hard to deliver a large deadline and my arm felt numb tingles. This has occurred before but this time the numbness did not go away after a while so I looked into a specialist to relieve my ailments. After much research, I was blessed to find Terri from Body Restore in Yelp. I called Terri and we were able to discuss my condition. She is also very responsive via text. At first she was booked for the dates and time I wanted, but she immediately contacted me when there was an opening the next day so our fates really aligned. Terri was sweet to email me her New Patient Form, Informed Consent of Acupuncture & Massage Treatments and Notice of Privacy Practice (HIPPA notice). On the day of, there was also a release for Team Oyama since the treatment was on their property. On the day of the appointment I arrived a bit early. Please remember to park in the Team Oyama parking lot or there is plenty of street parking. Their neighbors may tow if you park in the wrong place. Upon entering, there is a designated Team Oyama receptionist who welcomed me back to Terri's treatment room. Terri was super sweet and filled with positive energy!! I just sensed that I was in good hands. I brought my paperwork with me and she went over the forms to additional look at my ailments I wrote down. She also gave me a verbal consultant and explained to me what her plans were for our 1 Hour Massage ($99). The massage treatment included hot stones aromatherapy, massage lotion and whatever Terri felt my body needed. As she left the room for me to settle in, she mentioned that I will be getting a full 1 hour on the table, so all of the time we spent discussing my ailments would not be taken away from my treatment time. We started off face down. Terri was so intuitive and her technique is amazing. She applied a firm pressure, but it was effective, not painful. I was able to breath through most of it. My neck, shoulder, low back, and thighs were really tight, so in some spots where it was too tight, Terri would use the hot stones to help loosen up the area before working on it. I have had many massages in my life, but Terri's massage is one of the most effective, if not the #1, massage I have ever received. Terri was able to release the strain on my left rotator cuff and the numb feelings from my forearm, and soreness in my hands. I felt so much better immediately after the treatment. Considering it took years of overworking conditions to lead me to my pains, I was impressed how much improvements I felt after one treatment. I was able to sleep through the night for the first time in a long time. I honestly would have scheduled an appointment to see Terri again if it wasn't for COVID-19. The day after the appointment, Terri was so sweet, she sent me a text to check on how I was doing. In addition, she even sent me an easy youtube video on an exercise to help pinched nerve and neck pain. I can see that she was genuinely trying to help me feel better and improve my condition whether I was at home or coming in for a session. It is very selfless of her, since there are some individuals who would prefer to make you come back for more sessions. I've had many massages and prenatal massages and didn't leave feeling wowed like how I normally do. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and booked a 90 min prenatal massage. My therapist showed up just 3 mins before my scheduled appointment and she brought me into room #1 before being completely set up. The table was tiny (smaller than a normal sized massage table) and uncomfortable. There was an office door open within the room and I thought that was so weird it was left open. It felt awkward getting undressed. I'm just used to the lights being dimmed, music on prior to getting settled into the room. The massage was ok. I just felt like I was getting the same up and down movement along my spine for the majority of the service. I found myself saying "my shoulders hurt too." Hardly any time was spent on my legs, hips or arms. I wrote in my paperwork that I wanted to focus on my back and hips and verbally said my I.T bands hurt too. I did dooze off but at this point in my pregnancy anyone rubbing me down for 90 mins, anyone would. After getting off the table I felt like my hips still hurt due to the lack of padding on the table. Needless to say, I won't be rebooking. I don't feel my $135 was worth it. I know they can't help with the sound of airplanes taking off every 10 mins, but the Costa Mesa location in my opinion isn't ideal for relaxation.
