My loving daughters gave me a gift certificate for a 1-hour massage last Christmas. I am a HUGE fan of DEEP TISSUE massages and have traditionally gone to the same gal for the last 20 years until she recently closed up shop. Thankfully, my daughters scoured YELP and found Quynh at Revive Massage & Bodywork in Lake Forest. I scheduled a 1.5-hour appointment and counted the minutes until it arrived. BTW - the soonest I could get in was a month away so that lets you know how busy she is. I was right on time and was lead back into a very comfortable room. Quynh asked me what she wanted me to focus on and I said everything, especially my back and hamstrings. I also emphasized that I wanted her to go deep and don't worry about hurting me. The hour and half seemed like 20 minutes. I almost broke down 4 times to cry "uncle" but sucked it up and didn't embarrass myself. It was an unbelievably great massage. I have been going to Quynh once a month for fabulous massages for about...7 months or so? Why haven't I reviewed her? Glad you asked - because I'm SELFISH...no I'm not sorry! Quynh is actually so good at what she does that I want to keep her all to myself. I spent about a good year looking for a good masseuse around the Irvine/Newport Beach area and I have been to over a dozen places before I found "the one" (Quynh). Obviously it's natural to feel possessive when you find the one. Quynh is skilled not in just her craft, but also knowledge in stretches that you can do at home to maintain results. She is familiar with human anatomy and knows just the right pressure and technique to ease your discomfort and help you relax. I've been a client of Quynh for a couple of years and she is great like everyone said. She's attentive to your needs that you feel completely relaxed after each session. Recently, Quynh teamed up with Junior and he is as great as her. I usually prefer female therapist but was willing to have a session with Junior because I needed a stronger pressure for my tensed back, neck and shoulders. He was very professional and was able to get all the knots out of those areas. He didn't rush to complete the session but concentrated on the areas that needed work on. Before my session, I was a little hunched over and my shoulders were rolled forward but I was able to stand up straight and shoulders back afterwards. Quynh is an incredible massage therapist. This review is long overdue as I've been seeing her for about 7 years. She has really gotten to know the areas that are the most troublesome for me (shoulders, neck, etc) and is so good at working out the knots and tightness that is bothersome. Whats so incredible to me is how she can almost instantly pinpoint the area and really make it feel better! When traveling in the past I've been to quite a few spas/resorts for massages and nobody compares to Quynh. She is a master of her craft. Christine at Revive does a great job on my massages, she was very professional but warm, and knew exactly how to make every muscle in my body feel better. She worked deeper on the problem areas. The atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming. Christine was very open in her communications so she knew what I was expecting and I knew what she would be doing. Quynh is an amazing massage therapist. I've been to many different types of massage therapists, and I can truly say, imo, that Quynh is unique and gifted. Her customer service is outstanding and her therapeutic work is unmatched. I can tell when massage therapists "space out" and are not really paying attention to what they are doing...just going through the motions. Quynh is the opposite of this. She is fully present throughout the session and really cares whether my concerns are addressed. I have also had a session with Junior and he is also outstanding. I've had some limited range of motion in my shoulder that I had just accepted. However, Junior was able to work something out where my shoulder felt like it had an increased range of motion. Similar to Quynh, he is fully present and pays attention to what he is doing during the entire session. Both Quynh and Junior are excellent. You can't go wrong with these practitioners. read more

I started going to Quynh May 2018 for pain, tingling and stiffness in my neck and shoulders. Like most people the thought of getting a massage made me feel a little uncomfortable af first. As soon as I walked into Quynh's office though I was immediately put at ease. She has a very welcoming and peaceful enviroment. She is able to find knots that I didn't even know existed. Quynh has a very pleaseant personality and really makes an effort to listen to my concerns. I always joke with her after my massage that I wouldn't mind living in the massage room permanently and hide from the daily struggles of life. Its just so darned peaceful in there. My neck pain has lessened to a very large extent. She also suggested regular yoga classes which has also helped. Quynh is extremely gifted at her job. She is not as affordable as those cheap foot and neck massage places. This is an entirely different experience. Her treatment room is clean and work is done on a massage table, not a massage chair. I highly recommend her to all. If you need her to come to your office, there is a small fee, and I believe she will waive the travel charge if there is 2 hours booked. Easy once you get two or three co-workers. Quynh is truly a massage therapist and bodywork is a great work to describe what she does. I should get this treatment more often! read more

Quynh is the best masseuse that I've had hands down. I'm not a fan of posting reviews that embellish what the user actually feels because everyone is different so I'd rather describe what I like about Quynh. She always asks about my problem areas when I arrive, but in reality she is able to asses the knots and twinges as she massages. I've only had 2 masseuses able to read my body without me having to tell them where I have pain. Quynh is the best in this regard and I cannot give enough praise for her for being able to determine where my body is at. I personally prefer some deeper massage and I enjoy the pain. She's able to cater to what I need and that's what keeps me coming back. It's definitely worth a try to visit Quynh, but beware don't book up my weekend mornings!! read more

When I moved to Irvine, I lost my long-time massage therapist due to distance and scheduling difficulties, so I decided to move on. Stumbling across Revive Massage & Bodyworks on Yelp, I decided to give it and Quynh a shot. I liked the fact that she called me back to discuss schedules and was open for discussion. As an athlete, I was always stiff and tight, I've been getting deep tissues at least once a month. Quynh is able to deliver (she is a powerhouse!), plus she communicates very well, she is not shy and will not hold back if a spot needs work. Hands down best massage ever!!! I've had alot of back issues with my lower back having pain and upper back being tight. I have been to PLENTY of massages and even get a chiropractic/therapeutic one once every 2 weeks. The one that I was getting regularly wasn't really cutting it and I wasn't sure if it was just my bad back or if the masseuse could be doing more/have better technique. I yelped massage and found Quynh and decided I would splurge and try her massage to see if I felt any different, and boy did I! I have such a bad/weird back that usually right after a massage I cannot sit up and get off the table and put on my clothes without there being pain in my back. I thought maybe this was normal due to muscle's relaxing and then not supporting my bad posture which would cause pain or maybe it was just laying down to long on my stomach which hurt my back too. Anyways after my 90 minute massage I had a lot less pain getting up and getting dressed which is HUGE for me. I felt great for days after wards! Also the best part of it was that she worked on areas that needed working on, not just moving on every 5 minutes like my normal masseuse and she can really dig in when you need it. The best BEST part was the stretching she helped me do at the end. Really unique stretching that targeted and worked areas in my back that never have been stretched before. I honestly which I could just pay her to stretch me out every week. Long story short- BEST masseuse ever, so sad to write this review because I don't want her to have any more clients and book up so fast! read more

I've been fortunate enough to experience many massages, and Nasim just gave me one of the best I've ever had! I was feeling a lot of tension in my left shoulder so I decided I needed a a little TLC. I found Revive on Yelp (thanks Yelpers!) and booked an appointment for the following day. Their online system was easy to navigate, and I received email confirmation for my requested time within an hour. They are located in a private room on the second floor of a local gym. The entrance is on the backside of the shopping center, so make sure you drive around because there is no door on the frontside. Nasim met me downstairs in the gym lobby. We went up to her massage room, it was a clean & relaxing environment. She played ambiant music, and while I could hear faint voices in the hallway outside, they weren't distracting. Nasim asked what areas I'd like to focus on, and then she performed her magic on my shoulder. It feels so much better now! I loved her pressure, firm-medium. I asked her questions and she was very informative as to what muscles were tense, and what I might do to help prevent that in the future. After the massage she even showed me a few neck stretches to do on my own. Overall a great experience, especially for the price. 5-stars all the way! read more

So I was referred here by a friend of mine. I usually just go to one of those 15.00-20.00 1hr foot massage places where you get a bunch of crammed into one room and old Chinese masseuses yapping away even though the signs they post up tell you to be "Quiet". What can I say...they're cheap and convenient. Anyhow, I was having a very long week at work and feeling really tense so I figured what the heck...I'll give this place a shot. When I arrived to the facility, I was greeted by Quynh who was extremely polite and very helpful. She explained to me what type of massaged that they provide and asked me where my problem areas were. She then lead my to the massage room which was very clean and very soothing...a lot different then the usual foot massage place I'm use to going to. Quynh was very attentive and very courteous throughout the massage. She did a wonderful job of working out all my problem areas and really knew how to apply the pressure when needed. Don't be fooled by this girl...she is STRONG!! I told her to really get into some of the areas that was bothering me and man...I'm not a small guy and she put a hurtin on me but in a good way. I have absolutely found my new massage therapist! It has been nearly 5 years since I had a good massage therapist and I basically gave up until I found her. She is wonderful and she knows her techniques extremely well. I rarely say anything unless she asks me for feed back on certain areas that are tense, tender and/or knotted up. She just finds the right spot and works it out. The environment in her room is comfortable and relaxing. She uses music that should calm anyone down and just enjoy the relaxing massage. My reasons for coming back to her other the wonderful massages she does. I've had neck and back injuries that have been present for nearly a decade from two major car accidents. Constant stress, tension, and pain that are persistent. But she does help me a lot. Quynh is now a part of my healing process. She understands my body language and she will work out the very spots that NEED extra time and not just move on when 5 minutes pass. She manages to give me that period of rest that had I nearly forgotten. I now try and keep three, 90 minute massage appointments per month because I truly need it. She is worth the time and money. Massages aren't always memorable, but the two massages I've gotten from Nasim were great. I'm a big guy, and some massages I've gotten from ladies weren't firm enough for me, but Nasim has some deceptively strong mitts. I would say her massages are on par with all but the burliest masseurs, yet still very gentle. Would definitely recommend her, as all my experiences have been really nice overall. read more
