Apparently Daniel and his are very new to caring and servicing pools from my experience. There was always an outside factor on to why it was not his fault the pool had algae or that he was spending so much on pool chemicals. During the month of January he suggested my pool needs to be drained due to the amount of chemicals he was spending to keep not just my pool clean but others as well. Pool was drained by the previous owners February 2025 and he could not understand why the pool levels were not correct when David came to service it. Pool was drained by us and cost less than Daniel said he could do it for. I reached out to Daniel 4/12/26 regarding algae build on the walls and steps of my pool. I asked that the pool be given a thorough scrub to get the pool ready for the summer. David came over Monday, April 13th and stayed for 9 minutes, leaving the wall and steps still full of algae. I did not feel my concerns were taken seriously so I terminated my pool service with Daniel via email on 4/17/2026. I asked that I be taken off of autopay immediately to avoid being charged on the 1st, he replied "Will do". Come May 1, 2026 I was charged 120$, unbelievable. I reached out to Daniel 5/1/26 to get a refund and was told not sure why you were charged and refund takes 5-7 days. Today is 5/18/26 and I have yet to get a refund from him. I had to call my bank to issue a dispute charge as he did not even read nor text me back on 5/14/16 to see what was going on regarding the refund. I am not the only person he has not refunded. Check the other reviews regarding this company. Please use this company if you enjoy subpar service, listening to a silver tongued snake talk your ear off. If his website still says veteran owned, do not believe him. His former business partner was the veteran, not Daniel.

At the time, a complete pump replacement, including labor and taxes, was around $1,600. Fast forward to this year: the motor failed less than 1.5 months after the warranty expired. Given how close the failure was to the warranty period, I contacted the company hoping they would offer some goodwill assistance or a reasonable discount. Instead, I was quoted between $2,150 and $2,800 for a replacement, depending on the model and horsepower, with only a $100 discount offered. What makes this especially frustrating is that the 1.5 HP pump model they quoted is available online for around $1,150. The pricing difference feels excessive. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about using this company for repairs. I understand warranties have limits, but I expected better customer service and a more reasonable resolution given that the motor failed so soon after the warranty expired. Unfortunately, it left me feeling that the focus was more on maximizing revenue than on building long-term customer relationships.

The cleaners rarely show up on the day they are supposed to so half the time I leave the gate unlocked unnecessarily for them to have access. Water had to be drained because CYA levels were so high but they didn't tell me that because they don't have a repair tech to drain and fill the pool in my area. This caused me to hire an outside company for the drain and fill. Today I was suppose to receive my regular chemical service but nobody showed up.... Called support 20 mins before close to see what was going on but got the answering machine. Safe to say I will be servicing my own pool from now on. Update to reply by business manager: There is no "major leak" in my pool. The water bill is less than $90 a month like it has been for the past two years. If there was a leak it would cost hundreds of dollars a month. I also add no chemicals to the pool on my own other than the 3 bags of shock I used in order to safely drain my pool water. Everything you suggested as the reason for my poor service isn't factual.

We also became increasingly concerned about the maintenance and safety of the pool water. Because we did not feel our concerns were being adequately addressed, we ultimately paid out of our own pocket during the final year of our lease to have the pool water tested and water analysis from professionals, we hired a neutral company that was highly reputable with great reviews! The results showed only approximately 55% overall water-test quality, with concerning levels of chlorine, TDS, pH, and alkalinity, including both excessively high and excessively low readings. Whenever we raised questions or concerns, our interactions with the property management were often deflected rather than focused on resolving the issues. Because we wanted objective answers regarding the condition and safety of the pool, we chose to rely on independent professionals and paid for professional water testing ourselves. It is extremely disappointing to have paid rent expecting as advertised in the lease agreement a properly maintained and safe pool, only to have to spend our own money investigating problems that we believe should have been addressed by the pool company and property management. Based on our two-year experience, we would not recommend Cool Pools to others. Our experience left us feeling that our concerns were not taken seriously, and the refusal to address the property damage shows how they handled simple customer service issues.
