The Short Rib is kind of small, which was expected. The amount of meat relative to the amount of bread was high, but the whole sandwich is kind of small for $14. The flavors are good--slightly sweet but savory meat that is easy to pull apart. I also ordered an add on of short rib on the side, and for $5.50, it was a rather small portion. It comes in a cute box and the staff was super nice and offered water while I waited for my order. It's located in the Ballston Quarter food court area.

I didn't even know I was craving an Italian sub until I saw it on the menu, but it was meant to be because this was a damn good sandwich. And it came with waffle fries, which normally aren't my favorite but these slapped. I overlooked this spot on past visits to Ballston quarter but I won't be making that mistake again.

I have seen this spot in the Ballston quarter mall so many times but finally stopped by today! I got the short rib sandwich with waffle fries and a side salad. I used inkind to pay since they're on the app, so I get an additional 20% cashback. Everything was so delicious. The sandwich was bigger than I thought it was going to be from other people's pictures. The bread was so soft and a little sweet, almost like a Hawaiian roll. The short rib inside was like pulled short rib and super tender. The mashed avocado added an element of creaminess and the arugula cut the fattiness perfectly. Solid!! And the waffle fries were just like the ones I had growing up in NYC - I have been LOOKING for waffle fries like these everywhere. I'm so happy now that I've found them!! Also I think it was the owner who helped me, but she was sooooo sweet. Offered us cups of water and everything as we waited for our orders to be prepared. Can't wait to return and try more sandwiches, fried Oreos, and cocktails all of which sounds really tasty as well!!

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Literally the best steak and cheese sandwich - the bun was buttery and fluffy. Their cocktails are def strong but perfect with their sandwiches! Brook is the best - she's so kind and is super accommodating! It's located within Ballston Quarter in the back so don't miss it!

I got the Superette Italian and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't amazing either. I loved the meats they used but the ratio of everything felt off . Biting into the sandwich I either got a bite of meat, lettuce, or mayo but those three never truly matched up. The bread was a bit too soft and needed to be toasted to add some texture to this. The fries were ok, standard waffle fries but these were overcooked and a little bland. The Mozzarella sticks were ok but I don't think that they were quite worth the $10 price tag. One other thing I didn't like was that there weren't any buzzers or a place to put in your number to get notified when your order is ready. This is inside of food court and the restaurant is kind of tucked away in a corner with not a lot of seating. Staff call out your name when your order is ready but I feel like unless you can find seating around the area it's not ideal. Overall it's not bad but definitely could use improvement.

I came across a great place! I had a little time to spare and noticed they offered cocktails. I tried the Whiskey Sour and waffle fries. Yuliana made one of the best Whiskey Sours I've ever had. Make sure to visit her when she's working. She is absolutely wonderful!

I had a steak and cheese sandwich here, which was like a Philly cheesesteak. The sandwich was really good and I liked the waffle fries too. The cocktail I had was refreshing and went well with the sandwich. The restaurant was in a food court so the atmosphere was casual. The service was great. I would definitely recommend the sandwiches here.

I had maybe one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had here- and in a town of great breakfast sandwiches that's a high bar! I love that they're served all day, too! Superette has a great sandwich menu with a few different side options- I went with a hash brown, but you could also do fries or chips. It's located on the bottom floor of the Ballston Quarter food court, and there's a good amount of seating around the counter. You order at a kiosk with tablets and then your name/order is called- they also offer a cup of water with your sandwich which was appreciated. I'd come back to try other sandwiches- but I'd probably just end up getting the breakfast sandwich again :)

Yum, yum, and yum! We got the short rib sandwich which was slow cooked with curry and had a very ambiguous almost lamb-like flavor - different and delicious. We also had the Reuben which may be my all time favorite sandwich. Every Reuben is either good or better and this one was better even though it could've used a bit more sauerkraut. And finally the BLT-ish, which I wouldn't even really say was "ish" because the bacon was overshadowed by the tasty pork. BLTs seem to shine due to their simplicity and this was a little too complex to qualify, but that's exactly my style anyways. The prices were just right for a nice cafeteria setting in a heavily transited area of Arlington. You really can't go wrong. Btw go for the fries over the salad for both portion size and quality.

We recently had date night at Ballston Quarter Market and sampled through several establishments. This one was our favorite. The short rib sandwich is deeeelicious and packed with flavor! The ancho-braised & pulled short rib was so tender and juicy. It paired really well with the bitter arugula and creamy avocado. I also really liked the bread, which sandwiched all the fillings together perfectly and without any of the filling spilling out. I got the waffle fries as a side and they were crispy and perfect potato-to-fry ratio. We also tried the sangrias - red for him and white for me. This was a blend of wine, brandy, passion fruit, lemon, simple syrup and aromatic bitters. Very refreshing and delicious as well. Will definitely be back!

So I got this SUPER NICE note from Arris, one of the partners at Superette. So, while we still are doing a remake on the Ruben- the way they handled the interaction, is completely worth a +1 in my book. It means they CARE about the food, service and ambiance here. Heard great things about the sandwiches at this food stall inside Ballston Quarter and decided to give it a try. I got their signature Short Rib Sandwich. Braised shor rib is topped with Gruyère cheese, avocado, arugula and chipotle aioli. A very rich and tasty sandwich, great for a quick bite!

Came here to grab sandwiches for a picnic. Tbh they are amazinggggg. We got the short rib sandwich, blt-ish, ranch chips, and fries. We got fried Oreos too which come with an icing dipping sauce. 5/5 for everything!!!! Earl's has always been my go-to for sandwiches but this is definitely up there for best sandwiches in Arlington. I was blown away. I am not going to lie. I was not expecting much. I got the BLT-ish. I was expecting dry-ish meat on a BLT. That pork was so soft, it was like butter. That bacon the perfect thickness. Veggies were in perfect proportion. I also think I like their homemade chips better than bagged chips. I feel like I have finally met my sandwich soulmate read more

I tried the BLT-ish, which contains braised pork shoulder, and the Short Rib and was really impressed with both. The Short Rib, unsurprisingly, focuses on the meat, which is tender and very flavorful. The other fillings, such as avocado and cheese, just elevate the meat. The BLT-ish was a great combination of flavors, with a particularly nice garlic mayo, and the pork shoulder was also moist and fall apart tender. I would come here again when I'm next at Ballston Quarter, where up until now none of the other eateries really made an impression on me. read more

Absolutely phenomenal. Had the BLT-ish sandwich that is a blt with pulled pork on it. Best sandwich of my life. Got the homemade chips as my side which were gross but I'm not a fan of homemade chips anyways so wouldn't get those again. But try this sandwich it will change your life! read more

So, I'd give this a higher review, but I couldn't finish my sandwich. I ordered the steak and cheese, but realized when I got home that it's covered in Mayo. I personally just hate Mayo, but this is a genuine allergen that should've been listed as an ingredient with the sandwich--it dangerous not to. That being said, the meat and bread were REALLY good before I hit the Mayo. Now that i know it's on the sandwich, I'll have to ask for it to be omitted next time. But please get that listed on your menu! read more

This review comes after ordering both pick up and delivery MULTIPLE times. Every time the quality was consistently amazing. SO flavorful. And to top it all of, customer service is exemplary! You can tell Arris and his team are 100% dedicated to quality! So happy there's finally a good sandwich shop in the area... if only they were in Pentagon City! The Reuben! I have sampled Reubens all over the country. The Reuben at this restaurant is the best I have ever tasted... By far! The marble rye was perfectly toasted, not too crispy not too soggy The proportion of meat to bread was perfect, and the sauce!!! So tasty, and obviously homemade. Had to throw in another five star review for this place because it truly deserves it. I honestly never thought you could make sandwiches so good that I literally dream about them but here we are. Also the service here is amazing. Not sure if he is the owner or manager but the guy who seems to run the place definitely knows what he is doing in terms of customer service. Tried this place for lunch and got their short rib sandwich with hand-cut ranch chips. Co-worker also got their cheese steak. This was one of the best sandwiches I've had for a while, and the short rib was very flavorful and tender. The chips were delicious and were very fresh. This place is the REAL deal. You don't want to miss out on this gem in the back of the Ballston Quarter food court (lower level) - but the neon pink sign makes it hard to miss! (and makes for great instagram shots :P ) Everything on the menu is top notch. The sandwiches are STACKED and the short rib is tender af. Their chips are made in house, thick sliced, and covered in super flavorful seasoning (I recommend the ranch). The cocktails are strong with a capital S, but they taste so good that they'll hit you before you know it! Superette is high quality but still affordable, and I would 100% recommend to anyone in the area. Arris and his team are passionate about creating the best experience for their customer. I would go back for the food and drinks alone, but the fact that the owner is so nice makes me want to support them even more! This place is mostly known for its sandwiches, but disclaimer: I only had drinks and the amazing bread pudding. First and foremost, the staff is super nice and accommodating. The sangria is great, flavorful and refreshing, much more than your run of the mill mix of cheap wine and some random syrup. The bread pudding is the softest, most flavorful bread pudding I've ever had, so I am definitely recommending it. Not too sweet too, which is almost always the case. I am looking forward to getting some of their sandwiches, because if they are anything like the drinks and deserts, they should be spot on. I am definitely coming back! read more

My fiance and I stopped in to kill some time before our flight that evening. It is in a nice location in a food court of sorts and we tried the philly, fries, chips, and had a whiskey sour. The hospitality of the owner was one of a kind, he split our order from the food to the drink which was extremely kind do do. The food was delicious as the philly had soft bread, very cheesy, and overall tasty. The fries and chips also hit the spot. However...let me tell you...the whiskey sour was fresh and easily the best i ever had in my life. You can tell they really care about their service and customers here, i would highly recommend checking them out. read more

When it said double, I wasn't sure if that meant double the tater tots, but that meant actually two hot dogs. Really good. I also had the other special, the two pancakes. I meant to get the sausage, but they gave me the bacon instead. It was great. Well worth it. I thought that was the better value of the meals. They got a lot of board and card games. This is one area that I think we are just going to have to deal with for quite some time. The give-and-take of prices,. We had been dealing with a bartender, so this guy, kind of rude came on to us and we weren't sure what to do with him. He kind of blocked me from paying the bartender. Rude. Not a hangout spot every day, but certainly once a week, maybe once a month or more, definitely a place to meet up if you got a group. I was really surprised by the diversity of the people that were there. A lot of chess players, a whole table of middle-aged women, lots of different people playing games. I would give them five stars, but not quite perfect. The rude guy at the end was so odd. Otherwise, great location, great parking, the food was good, good value, and fun.

Its perfect. Havent had this good of a burger in recent memory. Sauce is amazing. Beef blend of the patty has this melt in your mouth quality thats hard to describe. Bun was soft and fresh. Crunchy lettuce and pickle. Fresh tomato slice. *Only wish is that it had diced onions on it but I know that is a quite divisive ingredient. Regardless, its a must try. 2. Californian - Turkey was super moist, really fresh avocado and tomato, perfectly cooked bacon (I am not even a huge bacon fan but this was a perfect addition - no disgusting gristly fat), mild yummy cheese (provolone I think) again on a solid bun. I had a bite of my friends Short Rib Sandwich which was amazing (the seasoning on the braised short rib is unlike anything I have had before). I will definitely be getting that next time! If you ask me to pick one place to recommend in Arlington, it's Superette for me. Let me tell you- this tiny place tucked away in the back of a food court is not your average sandwich shop. I've tried about half of their menu and nothing has disappointed me so far. Every sandwich is well thought out. It's surprising how much I like this place given I'm not a fan of sandwiches. If I could review her, the host, and the happy hour prices in isolation, I would! They moved us upstairs, we sat down, and immediately saw the menus were different. We asked the gentleman bringing waters about happy hour and he sent the waiter over. The waiter, with about 2% helpfulness, shared that happy hour is only downstairs. I mentioned that we had called in advance to ask. We asked if it would be possible to have that menu or perhaps move. The conversation felt like pulling teeth. He said, with much dismissiveness, it was up to the host downstairs to move and if they had availability and left. (Fair, we move, he doesn't get his tip. An alternative? Give us the happy hour menu, still get your tip. Better yet, just be slightly helpful?) The host downstairs found us a table but shared it was booked at 6:15 so we needed to be in and out. It was no problem because we had arrived before 5 (early, remember?). Although, it took 15 minutes (I timed it!) for anyone to come bring waters or address us as their table. A little hard to operate with urgency when no one takes your order!! I got up, told the host stand, and they sent a server over, and he proceeded to come back all of three times. We also had to flag him down to get our check, while we sat with empty waters that were never once refilled. We had pizza, cod sliders, and half orders of aglio e olio pasta. The cod sliders were more breadding than fish, but the flavor was decent. The pasta was delicious. No five star Italian meal, but it hit the spot and the portion was plentiful. I didn't try the pizza but it was 12 inches, piping hot, and the two eating it couldn't finish it. The food came out quickly and hot. I think we spent under or just about $100 for four folks to have dinner + drinks, so the prices are really solid. Perhaps you get what you pay for though? Both of our male servers seemed annoyed to be dealing with us and mostly unhelpful. Noteworthy mention: there was a female server who was kind enough to bring us a brown paper bag for our to go box. She was running around and her tables seemed well cared for. Disappointed in my experience and the customer service.

The hot oil was olive oil infused with Serrano Peppers. It was some of the best pizza we've ever had! We are from Pennsylvania and you can't find pizza like this unless you are going to NJ or NY. The setting was great, we went to watch the Georgia game. Tons of TVs everywhere. The waitress was awesome. She was great with recommendations and the manager checked in on us a few times as well! Love their style, we serve pizza and have a bar...add your toppings. Nothing else on this menu. Our kind of place!

The chicken is definitely the standout here at little birdie. My favorite items I've tried are…read moredefinitely the tendie tower (if they ever bottle that nori ranch I would buy gallons) and the cutlet wrap. The Caesar avocado toast was good, but overall went a bit mushy. The deviled eggs were also good, but not the best I've had - I wish the flavors of the toppings were more distributed in the egg mix itself. Overall we really liked our brunch and lunch experiences and I'm sure I will be back!
