We came out from Norwalk based on the reviews here! We came around noon on a Sunday and expected a wait. We only waited about 5 minutes and Noami was awesome. read more

Good spot if you need a last minute to go to. A few employees there could put more a smile on there face they look like their miserable. Don't bring your problems at work. That's my first impression. I would recommend making an appointment cause you can wait there for a long time read more

This is a great place to get your hair cut. The service and people are very nice. Blanca is awesome!

I love their service, I came in and Blanca huke me up.. I came out looking very pretty. Thank you so much. She's the Best. Come to super cuts you wont regret it. Money worth spend! Thank u read more

Extremely rude, uneducated so called stylist. Joanna Rodriguez has the worst attitude. She acts like she is doing you a favor by cutting you hair. Someone should really pay more attention on how customers get treated at this Super Cuts location. I did not even get the haircut I wanted because of how uncomfortable she made me feel. I just wanted her to get her hands off my hair already. I strongly suggest you to go to the one on Lakewood. read more

Has some good stylist. However, I had to dock 3 stars because they are not allergen sensitive. I've been going to this location for years and to my surprise when I opened the door fumes of cleaning supplies automatically irritated my Entire respiratory system. Going to the restroom was even worse! highly concentrated synthetically perfumed hand soap, general surface pine cleaner (possibly high in amonia), and active Plug In! It has left me with a scratchy irritated throat, nose, and chest in conjunction to a big headache. Had to wait as other places i went to earlier where booked and busy as well. I will have to follow up with a call to corporate. read more

Horrible service. I check in online for a 6pm appointment. Get there and the girl takes me at 625pm asks if I want a shampoo and cut. I reply yes and my hair straightened. She responds and says I'm the manager and I only have one stylist so I won't be able to straighten your hair, but I can shampoo and cut. Excuse me that sounds like a you problem not a customer problem. Do you want my money or not! You have five more people waiting for a cut after me you really think you are going to get out at 7? Ha wishful thinking. I run a business myself some advise, don't refuse business especially when you are still open for another 40min. I tell you want I want you are supposed to do it. You do not tell the customer what you can do because you didn't stAff ppl correctly or want to go home and hang with your daughter. Come on! Common sense stuff girl! Get it together! read more

came in for a haircut and was assisted by Blanca. She was so nice and very informative about my hair. She definitely recommended treatment for my hair since it's pretty damaged from bleaching. She took into consideration the style that I was aiming for. I'm very pleased and happy that I came here, will definitely be returning! read more

I live in northern California and come to Downey 2 to 3 times a year. I make sure I get into Supercuts on Patton and Firestone to get my hair cut by Blanca. She is very good, fast and friendly. Their prices are very reasonable and I always love the style of cut she gives me. Today I was also in bad need of a color touchup. In addition to the cut she was able right then to give me a weave. I love it!! If I lived here, this is the only salon I would use. Thank you, Blanca. You're terrific!! See you next time I'm in Downey!! read more

Do not recommend this place, took my 8 yr old here and it was not busy at all we were the only one there. I didn't get the name of the stylist, she washed and cut my daughter's hair, I'd asked that she dry her hair more cause it's 50 degrees outside. This gentleman walks and she is done with my daughter I had told her is cold outside. Very rude and bad service if your not a regular I suppose. This store is next to petco. read more

AVOID this place!!! Walked in with my cousin for a wash and styling (blow dry). When I walked in they quoted my cousin and I, $6 for wash and $25 to blow dry it. At the end when it was time to pay they were charging me $41!!! I told them that they had all quoted us $25 just to simply blow dry our hair. I then went to ask my cousin what they had quoted her and she said $25 for blow dry and $6 for wash. As I was talking to my cousin all 3 hair stylist jumped and and started saying no we quoted $35 for blow dry. As I was paying this OVERPRICE service they still asked if I wanted to tip. I'm sorry but $41 seems a lot just for a simple wash and blow dry. They said it's because we had long hair! Keep in mind we have shoulder length hair! This is outrageous and would definitely avoid this place! read more

I have a hairdresser that I have been going to for years, this last cut I got was horrible. I was driving around in Downey and found a Supercuts, 1st of all they were available right away to fix my bad cut, and she knew exactly what I wanted... AMAZING CUT!!!!! My daughter was with me and now she wants her hair done as well!!! Thank you so much read more

Not sure why I bothered to come here. Their customer service is the worse and a kids haircut is again a disaster!! The girl who answers the phone says 40 minute wait turned to 86 minutes. A simple "we will be right with you " would be nice. read more

I will never go back here again!! I took my daughter to get a haircut and the girl that cut her hair did a horrible job. It was uneven, one side was longer and the other side was shorter. I ended up taking my daughter somewhere else to get it fix. read more

Lady with very short blonde hair, kinda heavy set cut my son's hair and was very very rude. I left the salon very upset and disappointed. She was threatening to stop midway and was upset because he was moving. He's 3 years old and I know kids can be tough, but cutting kids hair is part of your job! She rushed through the hair cut and said she wouldn't cut the top after she buzzed the sides. Customer service skills nonexistent. You can imagine how disappointed I felt having my son treated so poorly. They are always really good to us and this is the first time I see her at this location. Hopefully the last. read more

This place is just awesome! Lulu was very attentive to my son. She asked what I wanted done to his hair, I showed her a picture and gave extra details on what I wanted and she did exactly what I asked, great experience overall! read more

Even after reading some of the bad reviews I still went in and got a cut! I went early so I didn't have to wait. Joana cut her my hair and hooked me up, and was so nice and honest about my style. They have gained a new loyal customer! Thanks Again Joana!! read more

Ok, each time I stop by cause I'm in a rush, but regret it each time. It's not horrible, just regretful.

First time getting my hair cut here they run a really tight ship They usually have people call ahead to avoid waiting too long Which I will do next time, even though I didn't have an appointment I wasn't waiting long at all 5 minutes maximum My hair turned out really nice and I was out of there in no time no awkwardness or anything The hairdresser was really nice and very chatty The only negative thing is ever time the phone rang she had to stop what she was doing and answer it Maybe they should invest in a receptionist They also give a rub down with a hit towel to catch any hairs which is nice read more

I will never go back to this place!!! I have never been humiliated in my life like I did !!!! I went yesterday because my 6 year old daughter needed a trim and I took my baby with me because I had called ahead of time and they told me they would have a stylist available as soon as I came in. While my daughter was getting her hair cut, my little one was walking around and i was supervising and making sure she didn't touch or get anything. The stylist Joanna so rude told me to make sure the baby didn't touch the product, and really got upset because I was already watching her and shes just a baby. I felt shamed-mom, she yelled it out in front of everyone that was there. Then another stylist opens the door knowing that I had my 1 year old and I asked her if we can close the door because didn't want her to run outside and get hit by a car. She told me she didn't care and that I should hold her. Basically told me to tie her down like a animal. NEVER AGAIN COME BACK AGAIN!!!! I will be also contacting corporate office. What I don't understand why i was treat so poorly and still want my money !!!! Honestly I would want a refund!! read more

Good service, did not wait long. Haircut was quick, looks good. I will come again. I highly suggest everyone to come here, you will not regret it. Come in the morning, very low chance of a lot of people being herez read more

I have never gotten a good hair cut here. They dont understand what layering a girls hair means.. I had to go somewhere else to fix it... ANd... AND.. my husband just got a hair cut yesterday... terrible job with blending the hair cut on his head.. theres a big line!!... and worst yet... THEY CUT HIM.. theres a big cut along his neck... the hair dresser didnt say anything... and these are professionals?? read more

I had been coming to this hair salon long before I got married. I always liked how professional everyone is. After I got married I moved away from the area and other Supercuts weren't the same. Now that I'm back in the area, I have been going back to this Supercuts. I had a picture of what I wanted, a long bob and Joanna did an amazing job! I've always appreciated that as they cut your hair, the hair stylists asks if the length is right or should she cut more. I've always had a great experience at this Supercuts! read more

This is my fist time coming to this salon. I was a bit nervous because I don't trust just anyone with my hair. I saw Blanca she was so pleasant and professional. She welcomed me when I first came in. Since I've heard very good reviews about her. I trusted her with my hair. She did such a fine job! It's perfectly even now. She explains every step she does to your hair. Now I'm coming every time a need a haircut. Highly recommend this place! read more

Do NOT go to Cindy!! My daughter asked her for layers and she does not know how to blend them. You can see the one layer distinctly from the bottom layer. It's horrible. Plus she cut it way too short after asking multiple times how much to cut yet still couldn't get it right. read more

I just came back from supercuts!!! At first I was a little skeptical, and my anticipation was growing by the second as she finished my hair, I mean I'm black and when I heard they didn't have any black "equipment" I was sure things might not turn out the way I needed them to. Monica seriously hooked me up!!! When she turned me around to look at my hair, I was amazed!! So happy!! I'm definitely going to turn this wedding out!!! And all for $28!!! Go see Monica!! Tip her big!! She's awesome!!!! read more

Been coming here for over 2 years. They have all been great. Customer service is off the charts! Very nice people. I always call ahead to set up an appointment to cut down on my wait time. Joanna is the lovely lady on the right side of the shop. She cuts my hair exactly the way I want. I've even had to come in after getting a haircut outside this place so she can fix it. Never had a problem here. I always look forward in coming every other week. read more

I love this place! I've been coming here for about four or five years and have always had courteous and professional service. I've had my haircut by all of the stylists and have never had a bad haircut. Michelle, aka Mikah, the receptionist is kind and courteous and entertaining. I love all the stylists: Celia, Johanna, Jovania, Keisy, Lulu, Martha, Diana and Blanca. They always reconfirm my choice of style/cut before they start and make sure I am happy with the cut when done. I have short hair and the cut is simple, but I never feel rushed or like a number. They greet me by name when I walk in and I feel like a celebrity, especially when there's other people waiting and wondering why all the stylists are so happy to see me when I walk in :-) I used to hate trying new stylists or salons because I am very picky about my haircuts and have had bad experiences at other salons in the past. But as long as you are specific and explain exactly what you want, I can guarantee you'll be happy with the professionals at Supercuts in Downey! read more

I had an enjoyable experience coming to this location. Noemi was my stylist and she did her best to provide me excellent customer service. She ensured I was always satisfied with my haircut. I usually request for Jovania to cut my hair but I am also comfortable with Noemi cutting my hair. She is easy going open to suggestions because she knows that the customer is important to the business. read more

The Hispanic older lady that is second from the cash register does not know how to cut hair. I asked for long layer bob. I don't understand what she did. She is too quick and just wants to get rid of customer fast. Layers are not blended and lopsided and too short. I hate it! I'm never going back. read more

I've taken my daughter here twice for a trim and once to get her hair straightened. The lady did an excellent job! Her hair is of mixed ethnicity and the job came out right! I've had my own hair trimmed here and layered. Excellent job! I'd definitely return! read more

Lulu cut my hair today and I asked for a 2 on the sides and scissors on top and proceeded to cut my hair making me look like Will I am! Never going there again!!! Too bad I can't give a zero star read more

This place is the best. I have been coming here for years. Have brought all three of my children as well. Never had any issues with my hair being cut wrong nor my kids. My boys would tell them what number on the cut and they would get it done. I really like the phone ahead for a hair cut as well. I will usually call from home and then find out the time they say to arrive and then head out. Blanca is my stylist and she always knows how I want my hair done. The other girls there are just as great. Martha cuts many of my friends and colleagues hair and never a complaint. All the stylists are knowledgeable and if there is a concern, it's addressed. I've seen how the management handles issues and I give them kudos for always trying to correct any wrongdoings. All in all, this is my go to place for haircuts, styles and highlights. read more

I was unsure about where to go get a haircut especially because I was going to make a drastic change. My hair has always been long, I was so tired of it . After seeing the reviews here I decided to give it a try and boy am I happy I did. I made my appointment online for 1pm and as soon as I got there I was attended by Noemi. I told her I wanted to donate my hair and she even suggested me different organizations where I can donate it to. I told her I wanted a long bob and showed her some pics of what I wanted I was so happy with Noemi she exceeded my expectations I love my long bob it was exactly what I wanted and more. I'll definitely be going back to Noemi! The cashier was a very nice girl as well. Very happy with my first visit to super cuts and it definitely won't be my last. read more
