For a very long time now, I dreaded getting haircuts or stepping foot into hair salons due to the fact that most hairdressers always had something negative to say about my hair. It made me feel insecure and embarrassed when they made comments or gave me unsolicited advice. I came across this location because of my boyfriend. The establishment itself its kept clean and all the ladies are polite. I personally enjoy getting my hair cut by Nathalie. She's very friendly and knowledgeable. She listens to what ideas I have for my hair and gives me her honest opinion when I ask for it. She makes helpful suggestions based on the idea I have during the appointment and always asks for my approval before going to the next step. Although a haircut may seem simple, for me it hasn't always been a pleasant experience, but I'm very happy to say that Nathalie always does a great job and I will continue to come back with her. If I could give more than 5 stars for Naomi who handled 2 situations that could have had a horrible turn out I would just for her. I'm hoping a manager knows the value of a good worker, employee. Just this day alone in the hours I was there could have turned out to be a bad situation for everyone. Let me start off by saying this please do not walk in wanting multiple services folks. In all essential businesses people tend to get busy. Now , I'm not saying they do not accommodate because they will and do I seen it myself. There is plenty parking but remember it is shared parking as other businesses are there as well. This was my 2nd visit here to this Supercuts. Well I was there in a chair there was a customer who was beyond rude and made a big scene. Which made my visit somewhat uncomfortable. Naomi handled the situation well as can be. Thus gentleman walk in saying he made an appointment. Which was true but at a different location. So another thing make sure you show up at the right location for services before making a huge scene. Martha , my stylist fixed wonders in me well I walked in with 50 shades of Grey's and red lol. She gave me her advice she went to work. I got my hair colored , trimmed, special condition for a good price. Oh did I mention a style as well. So while in the stylist chair as I was almost done another incident took place. Where unfortunately we were all feeling uncomfortable . Uncomfortable enough that a customer called 911 while I was there. A walkin client came in and was highly rude to Naomi she handled the situation as best as possible, remained calm, tried to help the gentleman who just refused to cooperate or be happy with being fit in the schedule. All chairs were filled she even had a client that was waiting for her while she was handling this situation. Employees were scared as I. These days it is hard to tell how others will react or what they will do. I most definitely was frightened at what was to come upon his return hoping I was gone same time hoping others were safe. 911 was called unfortunately the man left already before cops arrived. Getting back to the stylist and atmosphere it was great besides the 2 confrontational incidents. Martha was awesome friendly and thru all the choas she wore a smile although scared. read more

But I'm completely shocked how much I've enjoy coming to this location. This is the only Supercuts I have ever been to, and I plan on keeping it this way. Worst Supercuts! Worst customer service. I made an appointment for my 1 and half year old at this location 11/12/2021 at 4:20pm. I'm not sure who the women's name is but she was older, Hispanic, with glasses and ponytail. She refused to let my son sit on a booster and for let wanted him to sit on my lap!!! I started getting my sons haircuts at a year old at the marketplace location on Gallatin sitting in a booster with absolutely no problem!!! Always greeted so nicely and always felt like we were getting the best customer service. Today has been the worst far experience with Supercuts. Management really needs to train their employees to be able to handle all young and older customers to make them comfortable so just for themselves. Got her name. I believe it was Martha. I came in for a haircut with an appointment. My appointment was for 2pm so I got there a few minutes beforehand. I was checked in and asked to wait. I waited for 5, 10, 15, going on almost 20 minutes when a lady named, Martha (older,Hispanic lady with glassed) asked me if I needed something. I looked at her and said yes, I have an appt. On the app, it asks if you want a particular stylist, so I put anyone. She asked did you want anyone in particular and I said no. (why do they ask on the app who you want, if your not going to read it). So she ended up cutting my hair. Throughout the entire process, she did not say one,single word to me, not even small talk. It felt really uncomfortable. At one point, she literally pulled my hair and I gave her look like, "wow, you just pulled my hair." She then continued to finish the cut, then I went to pay and said "thank you" but not even a "come back, or have a good day." So I was in Downey on a Sat around 6ish and I had two hours to kill. I decided to get a shampoo and blow dry. I walked in with no appointments.. and was seen within minutes. There wasn't really a wait at that time which was good for me. The shampoo was good. It lasted about 6 or 7 minutes. Then the lady sat me at her hair station. What was weird.. was that while she was drying my hair, another lady who worked there just came and sat in the chair at the work station next to me. She would just sit there and look at people, including me. If she was further away, it would have been okay.. but the distance was pretty close. Anyway.. the blow dry was okay. She didn't do that thing some places do where they use a round brush comb with the blow dryer to curl your hair. What I didn't like was that she put too much serum in my hair. She kept going back for it with each layer of hair she would blow dry. $4 for a shampoo $28 for blow dry The total came out to $32! For that price, I would rather go to The Drybar.
