I don't know what kind of sandwich black magic they're running in Banning, but Super Subs is the real deal. I got the banh mi-style chicken sub and it was $15.95 but literally the size of my forearm -- like, if I got jumped in the parking lot, this thing could double as a weapon. Bread was perfect: crackly outside, soft inside, zero sog. The pickled carrots, cilantro, cucumber, and seasoned chicken actually tasted fresh, not like someone pulled it from a bucket in the back. It hits that crunchy-herby-savory combo that makes you stop mid-chew and go, "Oh damn... okay." Portions are insane, ingredients are legit, and yeah -- I'd drive back for it. Some reviews say the Banh Mi is not really legit. If this banh mi is "wrong," I don't wanna be right.

I've been coming here for almost 8 years (2017) and always get the same Asian sub ... the BEST sandwich I've ever had, nothing else compares. The owners are the sweetest and truly put love into every bite. I'm always bragging about this spot, and everyone I send has the same reaction: "This is insanely good." It's tucked away in a small area, and the door is usually locked (just knock, they'll let you in). I recommend calling ahead to order. It's almost like a sandwich speakeasy and 100% worth it. LOW-QUALITY & UNDERCOOKED... it pains me to write this review as the couple inside were super sweet and adorable. However, the food was NOT good. I ordered a meatball sub and it was barely warm, the cheese was not melted, and it ultimately gave me an ick factor. The sandwich bread was semi-cheap, Subway is vastly superior to this place in every way. I could honestly get better bread at the local grocery store. As for sandwich selections, they're very limited. They have an Asian-inspired sandwich but the ingredients looked sad. Also, even though I came in before some guy and placed my order before him, they made his food first! I was a little confused and irritated.

Standard hole-in-the-wall sandwich shop. Aside from the "Asian" sandwich which they're known for, the rest of their fare is a pretty standard deli selection. There's a few barstools in there for seating, but aside from that, it's not really an "eat there" type of place. As for their "Asian" sandwich ... it's good! Not quite a bahn mi, but considering there's no one remotely close -- closest Lee's is half an hour away in Riverside -- to here that serves them, it works! Love the baguette it's served on -- honestly, that was my favorite part of the sandwich -- chewy on the inside and a nice crunch to it, and the fillings were just right. Well, maybe those pickled cucumbers were a bit thick for my taste, but that's me. Hours are a bit odd -- 11:00-4:00 I think, but aside from that, not much to argue with here. Really yummy subs. Super friendly owners. But one star down from perfect. They're not always open when it says they are. As someone who doesn't have a ton of time, it's really inconvenient to make my way over there and find they're closed. The menu displayed inside is really old and confusing to read so I had ti use yelp to figure out what was what. Also it does take some time for the sandwiches to be made so I'd recommend calling in your order ahead of time if you don't have the time to wait. I think my order took around 20-25 minutes to be made. read more

Traveling through we searched Yelp for a quick bite for lunch. Super Subs sparked our interest and did not disappoint. The owners are simply wonderful- proud parents with photos of their children displayed. The sandwiches were delicious- all about that soft bread- so good. This little gem is so fresh and delicious. Super Subs is a true family business and they run it with heart. We had juicy beef hotdogs, an Italian sub (very tasty), the Cuban sandwich (spicy, juicy, and delicious) and the Asian sandwich (chicken Bahn mi but better). Everything was top notch, but the community in that little shop is what put it over the top for us. It really was like being a member of the family. They care for their customers. Love this place. I drove by this place one day and decided I'd stop by for lunch with the kids. Well I am glad I came back. First of all the owners were the nicest couple! They made it a point to introduce themselves the minute I walked in the door. In that 10 minutes I was in the store I learned so much about them, they know how to make you feel welcomed for sure. As for the food I got an Asian sub. It is a little spicy and a little sweet. And the bread is even delicious. My kiddos each had a turkey sub. I asked my 7y/o what she thought and she said "I'm pretty sure this sandwich came from heaven" and my 12 y/o said "can you make sure to go leave a 5 star review and if I'm hungry later can you bring me for another sub" so I'd say they enjoyed it. I was on my way to Phoenix, for a weekend trip and ........Wow. What a hole in wall. When I came up I knew this was gonna be a winner. Two black and whites parked outside. Cops eat out a lot and they get picky. We tried the pastrami, Asian sandwich and a BBQ beef sandwich. They are all my favorites. When we jumped back on the Road, My son told me in that stopping at little places like this is the whole point in traveling. Lmao. He is 13. When we got to Phoenix 5 hours later, he told me we need to stop at super subs on our way home. The owner was so friendly and hospitable. She had me laughing as we chatted. Her husband was fantastic also. Both of them are so kind and generous. I wish they would move closer to me. This place will be a required on every road trip that passes this stretch of road for the rest of my days. read more

This was my first time at Super Subs and it will not be my last, when you first walk in it's very small location but do not let that fool you, the customer service was the best the couple working were so friendly and welcoming to my friend and I and I felt positive energy in the air. Now the food... the food was so amazing it put me in a state of euphoria when i took my first bite. I ordered the cubano and the Asian sub for my friend and I I was excited because he wouldn't stop raving about this place and with reason the food was so good I HAD to go back and order another sub because it was that immaculate. The sandwiches here are the best in town!!! Every time I come in the owners are extremely friendly and welcoming. They take the time to get to know their customers and create a personal relationship. It's a small little shop, locally owned and operated. I have been coming here for years and tried a few different sandwiches. I absolutely love everything I have tried. Just had the spicy Asian sub again after a long time and it was sooo good . I had not been there for a while and I forgot how good it was . Nice warm and taste so fresh with great flavor . They appeared to be close for a while so I had forgot but the door does say open for take out now . Very easy I was able to call and have my order ready for pick up .
