I could eat this and be satisfied and still be able to dry home without food coma ha. 5/5 Italian - packed full of ham and salami, good quality ham, salami was solid but my wife wasn't a fan of the flavor of the salami (my son (4.5 yr) loved it though). Again their balance of mayo and mustard and putting together the lettuce tomato and extra pickles was perfect. 4/5 Spicy asian sandwich - good, not as balanced as the others. It's a banh mi with a spicy sauced chicken. No chili in the Banh mi but I suspect the Chili's were made into the chicken sauce. Some bites had quite a kick which liked. My biggest gripe, as pictured, it was hard to get a bite of the chicken with the Banh mi toppings. They were on different sides of the sandwich and both were very strong flavors. A bit awkward to go back and forth. Still tasty, maybe even overpowering so. Worth trying, but I think the pastrami and Italian are safer first tries. If you're sharing, like I was, you can take a chance. If I didn't get to share and had to eat one full sandwich by myself, I'd get the pastrami (or maybe the Italian). read more

My son and I were heading east on the 10 fwy and needed to grab a bite on the way to Cabazon and Morongo. I suggested a sandwich and he discovered Super Subs in Beaumont; located not too far off the freeway. This little hole in the wall - mom and pop sandwich shop is exactly that. A hole in the wall - mom and pop GEM of a sandwich shop! First of all, they're extremely friendly and at first meeting , you can tell they are earnest, hard working people. They welcomed my son and I as if we were old friends. I ordered the Italian. (Every new sandwich place I venture to, if Italian is on the menu - I always order Italian). I ordered the 6 inch. The bread was soft and it came tightly wrapped. One of the meats, I believe the cappicola, came out warm, while the lettuce, tomatoes, onion were chopped cool. It was an extremely tasty sandwich. The Italian cuts ratio to vegetables were ideal and they give you a generous amount of everything. The bread / roll was a super soft and dissolved on each chew. I would definitely order again, however since it's not a local spot for me, the next time I venture thru the area I would probably try something else on their menu. The husband/wife team were the only ones working and they were sincere, friendly and extremely hospitable. You can tell when they spoke to you, it wasn't just good customer service, they were genuine about getting to know you and wanted to make sure your order was correct and tasty. My son ordered the Cuban and he couldn't stop raving about how unique and tasty his sandwich was. A guarantee stop the next time we head east to the desert. My son and I highly recommend this place for your next sandwich cravings. This place is a teeny tiny inconspicuous little GEM! The husband and wife owners are the real thing. They have been there 21 years. The husband was in the military. Excellent! The large is a lot of food - easy to share with someone else. They made a custom sandwich with turkey and pastrami. Very good, quality ingredients, the bread is SO GOOD. Lightly toasted. They put everything inside it unless you let them know. The owners? Just the nicest. So thankful for your business. Standard hole-in-the-wall sandwich shop. Aside from the "Asian" sandwich which they're known for, the rest of their fare is a pretty standard deli selection. There's a few barstools in there for seating, but aside from that, it's not really an "eat there" type of place. As for their "Asian" sandwich ... it's good! Not quite a bahn mi, but considering there's no one remotely close -- closest Lee's is half an hour away in Riverside -- to here that serves them, it works! Love the baguette it's served on -- honestly, that was my favorite part of the sandwich -- chewy on the inside and a nice crunch to it, and the fillings were just right. Well, maybe those pickled cucumbers were a bit thick for my taste, but that's me. Hours are a bit odd -- 11:00-4:00 I think, but aside from that, not much to argue with here. As someone who doesn't have a ton of time, it's really inconvenient to make my way over there and find they're closed. The menu displayed inside is really old and confusing to read so I had ti use yelp to figure out what was what. Also it does take some time for the sandwiches to be made so I'd recommend calling in your order ahead of time if you don't have the time to wait.
