My husband and I were on our way to Cabazon and decided to stop somewhere to grab a bite to eat. It was close to 10:30AM and we were getting hungry as we didn't eat breakfast. Thanks for my Yelp app, we found Super Subs. They are located north of the 10 freeway on San Gorgonio Ave. They will be on the northeast corner of San Gorgonia Ave and Hays St. I have never heard of this place otherwise. We arrived around 10:40AM, but when we tried to open the door, it was locked. As we tried to go around the corner, a man came outside and told us that he just unlocked the door. He said "Wow, you guys are early. The whole town is still sleeping. You must not be from around here." LOL It turns out that he was the owner (Ben). We ordered two Turkey Club sandwiches on wheat with chips and a drink. We asked for American cheese in it and it also had bacon. The bread was fresh as well and I liked the texture. As we entered into the other room, I wasn't expecting such a large indoor eating area. They are apparently expanding their business. One of the daughters dropped off our sodas and sandwiches and she also checked in on us to ask if we needed anything else. After we finished our sandwiches, we met Diana, Ben's wife. They also introduced us to two of their daughters. I think we stayed an extra 15-20 mins after we ate just talking. Similar to all the other reviews, I felt like I was at their house and they just made us a meal. Sometimes a great experience is a memory about how it made you feel. Don't get me wrong, the food is good too, but having met the owners and seeing their pride for their family and business is as good as it gets, especially when they have the same passion for their customers. Was making my way out to Stagecoach for the weekend when my Dad and I decided to stop for some lunch. Not wanting the typical fast food found off I-10, I found Super Subs on Yelp and we decided to give it a try. SO glad we did. Going along with what the other Yelpers have said, this place is definitely a hidden gem! I ordered the highly recommended Asian sub and my Dad got the other highly recommended Cuban sub. Neither sub disappointed - both were PHENOMENAL. (We each ate half of our own sandwich and shared the other half). The Asian sub was full of great flavor - the jalapeño gave it a nice little kick and the cucumber gave it such great crunch. The sauce was delightful on it too! The Cuban was gooey and melted goodness in panini form with melt-in-your-mouth carnitas. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming and chatted with my Dad and I as they made our subs. I would say that sandwiches are one of my favorite foods, and that Super Subs stands out against other places. Probably the best I've ever had. We ate our entire sandwiches and started to immediately plan when we could return. This place is a new must whenever we head to Morongo or Palm Springs. Not only is the food 5/5 stars but the service is even better. The owners take so much care when handling your order, I don't think I've ever had better customer service when getting food. Indonesian Dry Noodles (I forgot the actual name of it, I will update later with a picture and its ONLY on Fridays and Saturdays) These are the top 3 so far in my opinion and not in any particular order..they are all unique and equally delicious! The owners are so sweet and are always willing to give the most to their customers.
