My wife and I were headed to a concert at a local casino and decided to stop for lunch at the Sizzler in Banning. Where we're from, all of the Sizzler locations have closed, so we hadn't eaten at one in at least 10-12 years. This stop wasn't just about food--it was about reliving some wonderful childhood memories. As we walked up to the entrance, I remember thinking, "This is too good to be true--an actual Sizzler that's still open!" The moment we stepped inside, the memories came rushing back. The décor and layout were just as we remembered, instantly taking us back to family dinners growing up. Back then, going to Sizzler was a real treat and always a special occasion. It brought back so many wonderful memories for both of us. My wife ordered a steak with a loaded baked potato, and I couldn't wait to dive into the unlimited salad bar. I was excited to enjoy the chicken wings, build my own tacos, grab some chips and salsa, and make a fresh salad. Everything was incredibly fresh and well-stocked. My wife's steak was cooked perfectly--honestly, it was even better than the steak we had at Morongo the day before. Her loaded baked potato was hot, fresh, and exactly what you'd hope for. While the food was excellent, what truly made our visit unforgettable was our server, Erin. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience. She checked on us often, always with a smile, while constantly staying busy taking care of other guests. Employees like Erin are the kind that every company should recognize and appreciate. She absolutely made our day. Before we left, I had to finish the meal with two soft-serve ice cream cones topped with strawberries. It may sound simple, but that was always my favorite part of visiting Sizzler with my parents. It brought back memories of how hard my parents worked to give my brothers and me those special family dinners. Standing there with my wife, sharing stories about our childhoods and the lessons our parents taught us about hard work and appreciating life's simple pleasures, was something I'll never forget. This visit was about so much more than a meal. It was about reconnecting with cherished memories, enjoying outstanding food, and receiving exceptional service from a team that clearly takes pride in what they do. To everyone at the Sizzler in Banning--thank you. I wish I had gotten everyone's names because the entire staff was fantastic. You should all be proud of the experience you create for your guests. We ordered the Fisherman Catch $16.99 . The girl behind the register was clueless if Cole slaw was an option. Another register person told her the Cole slaw comes the meal the French fries are additional side. Our cheese bread two basic sandwich style bread with burnt cheese the other had spread not cooked. My fish was cold inside not cooked through. Of course no coleslaw. My husband fish was ok. His shrimp over fried. Such a disappointment. Quality should be the same day or night. Best Sizzler I've seen! Been a minute since I went to a Sizzler. Used to go a lot in the 1990s and early 00s. My dad had a craving for Sizzler and we drove out 30 mins to get here since it was the closest one to him. The place was packed - parking lot almost full at noon on a Sat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside was very nice and thankfully very cool on such a hot day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was surprised to find that prices weren't too bad. A lot of things under $20. Dad ordered from the Senior menu and he got a steak, baked potato, salad bar plate, and a drink! I got the giant shrimp and steak with baked potato. Huge portions and I could not finish my plate. Everything was delicious. Our server, Amanda was awesome and took great care of us. Welcome us when we first arrived by Juan & Nayeah at the front register. And Marie there manager greeted us. My family and I came for there famous AYCE Salad Bar. There spread at the Salad Bar is always replenish & so fulfilling. This month Marie manager informed me they will have my favorite Taquitos being serve the whole month. That's why we are here. Sad thing now twice we came between 3:30-4PM. We had waitresses not seem to be attentive. More in a hurry to clean & sweep around there section getting ready to go home? Instead of being attentive to what we need like our drinks. Was about to lower to a 1 Star. I was about to talked to Marie the manager to give us another waitress. Till our waitress came over introduced Nayeli her colleague taking over. I was going to jump for joy seeing Nayeli. Son end up redirected me. You can get cash for tip at this time. Server will bring your order, drink and cheese toast refills. Salad bar areas were well maintained during the lunch hour. VERY ORGANIZED & CLEAN! I'm much more impressed with my recent visit to Banning's Sizzler. Our server Albert was on top of it and super friendly, I didn't have to ask for refills. My only problem with this location is that you need to ask for more soup cups, they used to have them available and they've now required guests to request them. I didn't have to worry about plates because our server regularly brought a fresh set after each trip to the salad bar. The dessert bar's soft serve was tasty and the brownies had a good chocolatey flavor. I tried the pound cake and it was solid, a bit generic, but good nonetheless. If you're looking for a great meal off the 10 freeway I'd suggest visiting this Sizzler location. The restrooms aren't that bad and the seating is comfortable. We stopped in late at night 8:45 pm 7/31/26 right before they closed, yes I know I know how rude of us but to our surprise we were totally greeted with open arms by not just the awesome manager working and our awesome waiter but by all of the staff working. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was super clean and the salad bar was well stocked with food all the way up to our belly's being full.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They kept the unlimited shrimp coming until I was stuffed. Meaning they kept the kitchen open until I couldn't eat anymore well past closing time. At the end of our meal when it was time to go we even got to see the manager hands on with the rest of the staff cleaning tables. When do you ever really get to see that. I hadn't been to a Sizzler in years but I am sure glad I revisited this location! Conveniently located just off the I 10 with an ample parking lot. Upon entering, I was impressed with the large menu selection, great decor, and good lighting... and the friendly staff was very welcoming. I had the ribs, sweet potato, and salad bar. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. The salad bar had a very good selection and was very well maintained and tasty. We were checked on regularly by very nice staff, sorry I didn't get their names. Oh, the mango lemonade was really good! Community Safety Reminder - Please Stay Alert On December 26, while our family was inside the restaurant eating at Sizzler in Banning, our vehicle was broken into in the parking lot. Two passenger windows were shattered, and several personal belongings were taken, including our luggage, photo booth equipment, an iPad, and Christmas gifts for our young daughter while we were on our way home. It was raining heavily and cold that day, and we went straight inside to get out of the weather. We did not notice any posted warning signs at the time, as they were located in the parking area and were not visible to us near the entrance. Had we seen them, we would not have stopped there. What was most difficult was seeing our daughter scared, cold, and shaken afterward. One kind waitress helped by sweeping the broken glass inside the car where our daughter had been sitting, and we are very grateful for her kindness during a stressful moment. I am sharing this only as a community awareness reminder--please take a moment to look around, secure valuables, and stay alert, even during short stops or bad weather.
