Location is right on the 10 freeway in banning. There's two different venues in this one location. I personally went to the farmhouse to eat breakfast and upon arriving, we were seated right away. The restaurant is very clean. The staff is very friendly. The wait time for food was fairly quickly, and the food was good. The portion sizes were fair. I feel terrible giving only 3 stars but they earned it. The service was just terrible. There was almost no one in the restaurant but we were sitting for at least 5 minutes before anyone approached us. Coffee please. And never came by to refill. We had to ask. Our server brought my pancakes (I ordered omelet with pancakes) and no syrup. My husband had to go and ask for it (we did give it time). Several minutes later I received my omelet. I'd like to say the food was AMAZING!! The pancakes could be the best I've had. The omelet, while a tad overcooked was quite good and loaded with veggies. The home fries were just this side of burnt and I love them that way. I cannot figure out what took so long...the restaurant was practically empty. If you look at my reviews I almost never say anything negative. I figure anyone can have an off day and I don't want to judge based on that. But this was extremely disappointing. It's near our home and I have reviewed before. We will give them another chance but not sure when. Also it smelled funny. I hope they can fix that. Worst breakfast experience I have ever had. My family and I have been here years ago and had a good experience. We went today and it has changed drastically. Myself, my husband and my two kids went a for breakfast. My son ordered the kids breakfast burrito without beans, my daughter ordered the waffles, I ordered the two egg breakfast with fruit and biscuits and gravy and my husband ordered the burrito with fresh fruit. My son's burrito came out all beans, no eggs nothing just beans. We sent it back to be fixed and it then came back just cheese. After I questioned where the eggs were the server then argued with me that it didn't come with eggs. I asked to see the kids menu again to point out in does in fact have eggs. After he saw that it does he blamed it on the kitchen saying they thought it was supposed to be a bean and cheese burrito. We decided against getting it fixed a third time and he decided to try my eggs, which he then let me know tasted "sour." My husband had a coffee with food still at the bottom of the cup. He got a different cup and a refill and they tried charging us for two coffees. I'm not sure how you would even claim that as a mistake. Our "fresh" fruit was grey and old and when I pointed it out the server just said "I know." If you know then why even send it out? I lost my appetite after seeing the fruit, my husband's coffee with food at the bottom of his mug, and my five year old son not able to eat because of mistake after mistake. I am beyond disappointed that we were even charged for this mess. We will not be back and I highly highly highly don't recommend coming here. Very disappointed in my visit today at farmhouse, been a couple years since I last came but the food is not at all how I remember. Food was cold and the price is not justified at all. Spent almost $70 and still left hungry because the food was inedible. The server noticed how displeased I was with the food but didn't even offer to take anything off the bill or give a discount at least. Very cold / soggy and reheated food. Well decided to try this place and it was definitely disappointing. First its actually in the building with another restaurant/bar that serves seafood. So if you see the sign for Mariscos you'll have to go to the bar that's only open for dinner. The food was disappointing for each of us (wife and teenager). Each meal was not worth going back for...only positive was the gravey on the chicken fried steak and the Chile Verde on my eggs. Oh and it was over priced to begin with but then we discovered the tiny noticed hidden on the table that the prices on the menu are the cash price...card price not shown. I have no great or amazing things to say about this place, nor any negative. This place serves a variety of things. Mexican, American, there is breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our waitress was super nice and friendly to our girls and was patient with me... I was having a difficult morning with my stomach since I had stomach surgery. She was very helpful and let me even order from the senior menu since I couldn't eat a lot and the foods are meant for older people with slower digestion. Our girls pretty much and all their good and my husband had no left overs. He liked it. The ambiance was bad either, it was quite and the old barn decor and build is nice. On our way back to Phoenix from Disneyland. After 14 hours walking around the park, we slept in and took our time getting back home on a Monday. My wife ordered a Bloody Mary and I got a $4 margarita for the Margarita Monday special. It was almost 11am. Don't judge. Technically, we're still on vacation. Drinks weren't anything to write home about, but they were flavorful and you can't beat the price. We both ordered breakfast. My wife got the spinach, bacon, and cheese omlett with home fries and biscuits and gravy. I ordered the Ortega chile and Swiss omlett with Hash browns and a side of pancakes. Each of the entrees come with two sides of your choice. My wife liked her omlett, but we both agreed the Ortega Chile omlett was the better of the two. They were a good size. Not those oversized entrees some places serve, but just the right amount. Home fries were better than the hash browns. Both could use a little extra seasoning. Pancakes were standard and tasty. The Farm's House restaurant isn't a destination, but I give it an extra star because of you're travelling on I-10 to escape LA early in the morning, or have a late night craving on a late drive to or from LA, this is just a great and convenient place to make a quick, sit down meal. Why would you go to the Denny's next door when this place has better service, better food, is family-owned and served drinks all day with a pretty good, non-craft beer selection (they had one selection from Hangar 24 which is craft). Was driving back home to California and honestly it was the barn aesthetic that made me and my boyfriend came in. The deco and inside was nicely decorated and clean. The bartender was not there so they made really mediocre cocktails with lots of ice! A cocktail is served in a cocktail glass such as for a cosmo! That was pretty light! I've passed by this place a million times on the 10 fwy to and fro Palm Springs. This time we stopped and I'm glad we did. Meeting old friends from Banning this was an easy location and an inviting menu. I had the Sante Fe Salad with chicken. The rest had cheeseburgers and were stuffed and pleased by their choice. Fries, salad and onion rings accompanied the burgers. I was the DD so I didn't participate in Margarita Mondays. Two did and said they were tasty. The pink lemonade was the tastiest in the county. While checking out the area since we are moving to Beaumont, we found our way here, and we are glad we did. The feel of going into a barn style restaurant was exexciting. Theres plenty of parking all around the restaurant. Once inside it seems as if the place is devided in two. Restaurant side & bar side. The staff was busy and there was no one at the front booth to greet us. They just spoke loudly that someone will be with us and to just take a seat. We ended up waiting for 5 mins most on a Sunday just after noon. Our waitress provided great customer service. She was polite, smiled, and was able to give her recommendations.
