Sweet spot! Great Mexican food home style. Waitresses are personable, friendly, polite and efficient! Service is always great! Food is excellent with good portions! Small bar serves beer(s), cocktails, BIG margaritas. Even their coffee is good! Don't miss this place! Are you passing thru Banning on the way back from the River or Glamis? They can seat a large group of you in the middle of this little restaurant. They have a large seating modest outdoor patio for dining also! Enjoy!

Amazing service, delicious food! The salsa is so flavorful and everyone is so kind. We broke down and enjoyed an amazing meal while waiting for our vehicle!

Small little family owned restaurant. It was a nice feel to dine in. Chicken hard shell taco was really good. I ordered the #9 combo plate. The cheese enchilada was the only thing I liked. It was lacking flavor in the chili relleno.. The rice and beans was also kinda whatever to me.. Service was a bit on the slower side. But, I understand about the staffing. I saw a little girl working in there.

It's quite small, but feels cozy, welcoming, and authentic. The service was great and I LOVE that I didn't have to ask for the extras, like the salsas, cebollitas, etc. A small act that goes a long way. The cebollitas and jalapeños added on top added flavor to my burrito. It was thoughtful of them to add it on top because it didn't melt the to go plate considering our food was cooked fresh. I'd be lying if I didn't say that was one of my concern; but I was so stoked to know my food stayed warm and tasted so delicious when I made it home. Don't get me started on the salsas! The sazón and variety of spice level is everything for me; so I loved that I had options. From the mildest to the spiciest level salsa, I can say they were all made with some love. My favorite was the most spicy, it was so spicy, but I couldn't stop eating it! Heheh Loved the agua fresca options & that you can also get micheladas there. Lastly, it was well proportioned, I got full with some leftovers, which is always a WIN WIN for me Giving it five stars based on my first experience, will most definitely go back for more in the near future!

The restaurant is always clean, and the atmosphere is comfortable with music playing at a good volume. It is a big improvement from the days when the music was blasting under the previous owners. I didn't want to skimp on taste, or authentic flavors. This was our first time entering La Cocina Grill. We were immediately greeted by Janet, she was very warm and welcoming. As I often say, it's that first impression that does it for us. We were able to choose our own seating. Opened space seating with gorgeous art work on the walls. Wheel chair accessible, not crowded or confined. I normally enjoy chili that can burn your soul. However, what they lacked in heat, they far surpassed on flavor. Besides with my diet changes heat is not something I should be eating at this time :) So this restaurant was definitely what my body needed. {IMPORTANT} a semi hotter chili available upon request. My spouse enjoyed the vegetable omelet however, did not enjoy the French fries that came with it, would have rather had either Spanish rice or potatoes, the plate did include black beans which were super delicious. My spouse did truly enjoy the food tremendously. I ordered the spinach and mushroom vegetable enchilada plate which I too requested the black beans, it also included Spanish rice. Although, it was missing avocado slices, my personal favorite, and also a suggestion it would have been more amazing. I must state this dish did not lack in flavor, presentation and overall deliciousness. I will definitely will be ordering this dish again. Yes!, I promise it was that good. When we arrived, the place felt small and intimate, which gave it a cozy vibe. I ordered the chile verde burrito, and my partner had a torta. The burrito, in my opinion, needed a bit more salt it came across a little bland. The torta was okay as well, but nothing really stood out. Overall, the food was decent, just not particularly memorable, especially considering it was slightly pricier than expected. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our server was incredibly kind and friendly. She even offered to bring our food to the table, which didn't seem to be their usual process. It appeared that guests typically order at the counter and pick up their food themselves, but she went out of her way to take our order tableside and deliver it to us. That level of attentiveness was definitely appreciated. Parking is pretty limited since the location sits on the corner of a main street, so you're probably better off finding street parking nearby.

The restaurant is spotless, comfortable, and well-sized, with authentic Mexican music playing at just the right volume so you can actually enjoy your conversation.
