As always the BBQ is spot on, I cannot say anything but...great food. I want to be clear, the food is excellent... This is their first attempt at a restaurant and they have missed the mark on a few things. They serve rolls with the meal, no butter, we had to ask for it. They do not stock even one, non-alcoholic beer (they missed 3 sales because of that). The Mac/cheese is very cheesy but needs seasoning (salt) to taste the cheese. There is no salt or pepper on any table, we had to ask. They serve a large portion of fries, with 2 tiny tear open packages of ketchup...not even enough for 1/8 of the fries. Put ketchup bottles on the table with all the bbq sauces. Really hoping they will see this and take our suggestions. read more

Came across this gem on our way back and wow, crazy good BBQ that far exceeded my expectations. Opted for Holy Trinity, which comes with ribs, briskets, two sausages, two sides (selected beans and corn salad) and rolls, every single item is great! Ribs and briskets are juicy and very flavorful, sausage has a nice kick. Note food portion is generous. Staff is extremely nice and attentive. I left without my credit card and the nice waitress came scurrying out before I drove off. Looks like they have three locations (Redland, Yucaipa and Beaumont). I went there on Saturday afternoon around 12:30, and I thought the place would be busy. We were only one seated, besides the 3 people at the bar. We order the brisket, tri tip, and baked beans. My son ordered the pulled pork, pork belly and Mac and cheese. The tri tip was dry and warm, the brisket was warm but tender. The baked beans were okay, I'm not used to having black beans as part of the recipe of BBQ baked beans. The pork belly was fried, not used to that also. The Mac and cheese tasted like Costcos. Ghost sauce is mid as heck. The ribs were very good, meat was soft but didn't just fall off the bone which is great. But the Brisket was burnt. Not smoky. BURNT. I came in for lunch today and tried the brisket and tri-tip with the brisket barbecue beans. The brisket was very good. I enjoyed it very much. However, the tri-tip was not. The flavor was decent but it was cut with the grain. I know tri-tip is one of those more difficult cuts to carve properly because the grain changes halfway through it. But the pieces I had were cut with the grain and were rather tough, but the taste was good. The brisket beans were spot on. This restaurant has changed it's name from "Klüddes Smokehouse & Saloon" to "Cornerstone Barbeque". That said, the ambiance and basic menu remains pretty much unchanged. I still find the manner in which they serve food (especially steaks & meat dishes) atop a piece of paper on a tray vs. on a dish, irritating. I find it impractical to place a steak atop a piece of paper, such that as you attempt to cut the meat (or burger) with a serrated knife, your knife shreds the paper beneath, resulting in the kife catching & paper becoming 'one with your steak'. As far as the service is concerned, it's a small restaurant, so, if it's not busy (a good likelihood) service is good. read more

Honestly the food was ok not the best but I have to say my server Melody was amazing she's the real reason this is getting 5 stars Yucaipa needs more people like melody to make you feel like your at home even when your spending $100 plus not eating at home. Many restaurants you go to have servers that look like "they hate their job" and I say that because not all may hate their job but anyways I'm a old man what does my opinion count for. Today my MIL and I met the owners of this BBQ spot on the boulevard - they told us about their restaurant and were the kindest people, so we thought we would go support their business. I RARELY enjoy dining out, I'm often so disappointed by quality and cost of food and prefer to cook at home as a result. This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, period. The food was excellent, the menu was well developed and creative, ranging from classic bbq to fusions including bao buns and brisket nacho fries. The service was incredible too - we were sat and served quickly, but not rushed. I don't normally go out of my way to hype up a restaurant, but don't sleep on this place if you are local! My wife & I went to corner stone after not going there for awhile, because as before every time we go there the prices have gone up $3.00 or $4.00 on almost everything, Their regular Coors beer prices on their happy hour is $5.00 that's the normal full price of a beer at most bars & restaurants, then they tried to charge us $7.00 a beer on their happy hour price, Buy we caught that & made them correct the charge, Then with the not so pleasant bar help, I don't think we'll be back, unless some major changes are made. Came in on 1/29 around 8:40pm I understand closing is at 9 but that's still a pretty good amount of time and good amount of customers still in the restaurant. But we were denied and told that kitchen was closed by a gentleman with glasses. Even though a woman walked out with a big bag of food just as we walked in.... Just a disappointment and not a good look for the business. If your hours are til 9pm then you should take people til then. That's how most establishments are.
