Walked in at 4::15 and Walked Out At 4:35.... i'm sorry Applebee's you have to do better. We walked in and sat down at an open table in the bar area. We were there for riblets, shrimp, and drinks. We sat there for 10 minutes before someone even acknowledged us. Two tables that sat down after us had drinks, before we even got menus. Then when we got menus in order to drink the drink sat at the bar for 10 minutes and no one ever came back to our table. So we left. Nobody had a smile on their face, nobody was friendly. We went there early to avoid the dinner rush. It's been a while since I've been into an Applebee's, this is not how I remember Applebee's. I probably will not return. I don't really like to leave poor reviews, but Applebee's you missed the mark. Food is okay, but nothing to brag about, their portions are designed for a small child, but their prices are ridiculously high for the amount of food you get. Samantha was our waitress. She kept forgetting how to do her job meaning her personality as a waitress, not warming or like upbeat. Instead of looking at her customers while talking, she would talk and walk away. Crazy thing we got our appetizers w the food. So we couldn't enjoy either. As soon as we entered we were asked if we wanted to sit at the bar and we politely declined. The hostess became annoyed and told us it would be a 5 to 10 min wait for 2 people. Mind you, the restaurant wasn't that busy. My friend and I took a seat. A few minutes later a couple comes in and gets seated right away. I was extremely annoyed with this. Once we sat down, it took a bit for the waiter to come to us. The ambiance of the restaurant wasn't nothing special. The food on the other hand was below average. My friend ordered the Burbon street steak and she asked for it to be medium and it was fine the first cuts in but once on the middle it wasn't medium. It looked rare medium. It was extremely chewy and had some weird white stringy worm looking thing in her steak. Its safe to say, she didn't finish it. Now, with my food, the only thing that was semi acceptable to eat was the steak and the shrimp but I became disgusted after seeing my friends food. Both our mash potatoes were cold and disgusting. My broccoli was also cold and not edible. I was disappointed with the whole visit. If I could give this place zero stars I would. The only thing that made me give one star was the waiter, Charles. " Great Server and Great Food " For my wife's Birthday, we went to the Applebee's Grill & Bar in Beaumont, CA. Our server was CASSIDEE who had a great personality. We asked CASSIDEE many questions about the many food items on the menu. CASSIDEE answered all of the questions we had with very detailed answers. My wife and I started our meal with an appetizer called 4 Wonton Chicken Tacos. Those Tacos were delicious ! My wife then ordered the Fish & Chips plate which came with Coleslaw and Fries. I had a large Baby Back Ribs with Honey BBQ sauce. I also had Garlic Green Beans and Fried Onion Rings. The Onion Rings were Yummy ! To drink, we had a Passion Fruit Lemonade, and a Strawberry Lemonade, which were both very tasty. For my wife's Birthday present, Applebee's Grill & Bar took -$22.00 off our final Food Bill. Our friends and I visited this Applebee's in Banning. Several times before . we thought to give it a try agin and the food agin was not so good. This restaurant needs to be remodeled. It has a funny old odor. I'm sorry to say ...but the manager Betty ,comped, our dinner .because they had to return our dinner several times back to the kitchen , wish was very nice ! our server Charles was excellent. Great service and delicious food at very good prices! We sat in the Lounge/Bar area. The place is clean and not too noisy. Ordered the Chicken Tacos and the Nachos off the Appetizer menu. I dined their last night the food was excellent, with many more interesting items than Chillly's, They have a larger menu more variety, and the food is much better!! Having said that Ihe give them 5 stars, along with the excellent service from Charles! He was a pro, professional, courteous, and helpful!, He knew the menu very well, and made his recommendations. He reminded me of the old school server I was used to. He would check on me often making sure every everything was fine, and could not have been more helpful! Polite and just plain professional. I was on a roadtrip and was in need of stopping to get something to consume which is how I came to eat lunch here. It was the first time I'd been to an Applebee's in over ten years. The interior of this location seemed a bit worn around the edges but kept clean. I ordered a crispy chicken bacon ranch sandwich with fries and a peach iced tea to drink. The deep fried chicken and bacon both stuck out far beyond the brioche bun (which looked as it it had been smashed). The chicken was tender and the bacon was crispy. The lettuce, pickles and ranch dressing helped the sandwich flavor-wise. I wasn't blown away but thought it was a surprisingly decent sandwich. The fries were good but standard. The peach iced tea was the worst tasting drink I've ever sucked through a straw. It tasted like some sort of chemically made peach flavor, really nasty. I stuck to my glass of water. Prices were too high but the service was quite good. All in all, an okay lunch. read more

I don't know if this review would have been different if we actually ate, but since that never happened here we are. We wanted something easy and since there aren't a ton of places to eat in Beaumont, we decided to come here. When we got there it wasn't very crowded at all, but there were 2 parties of 2 waiting and we were told it would be about a 10-15 minute wait. No problem. We were called after 10 minutes but then told, oh nevermind we're not ready for you. Then we waited another 10 minutes. We got to a table that accommodated four people, we were a party of 6, but we made it work. We weren't bothered by any of the waiting, or the table. What bothered us was that we waited over 15 more minutes at our table and were never greeted by a server, never told I'll be right with you, no drink order was taken, nothing. The kids were starting to get ancy so we decided to go somewhere else. As we got up to leave a server came around the corner and asked if everything was OK we said no we waited and nobody ever came over to our table so we were leaving. We got an "ugh umm ok" . As we were walked out the same hostess who sat us told us to have a great night and hoped we enjoyed our meal! Lol what???!!! I said you just sat us 20 minutes ago, we didn't eat, nobody ever even came over to us. She said "oh, sorry." and we walked out. Applebees. Always a sense of nostalgia going here. When I was a kid, you really felt like you were getting a treat. Now as an adult, it's a budget friendly meal. This is a great happy hour spot if you're on a budget. There are so many great appetizers for half off. You won't even need a meal. This is a good family restaurant, it's not so fancy where you are too worried if you're kids are going to like anything on the menu. My biggest issue with this place is the lack of consistency with the food and drinks. I had one good cosmo and one that tasted like dishwater. Sometimes the meat is over-cooked, or they will forget the sour cream on the nachos. Service has been pretty good the few times I've been to this location. Pro tip: On Tuesdays, kids meals are 99 cents with the purchase of an adult entree. read more

The server Lisa acted like she wasn't fully there on the job. Like it bothered her to get want we wanted. Several times we asked for things and didn't get them it don't matter how many boxes u need she had an attitude. I already gave you boxes then when the manager came by Betty, she asked if everything's OK and my friend said so so when she just went on her way instead of asking more question like what was the problem I would not go to this facility and also the salad there ring in the salad very poor management you need to get managers in there that know what they're doing. This place is as inconsistent as can be! Ate there on Veterans Day, had good service and food. Went there today for an early dinner. The restaurant was almost empty and while the service was decent, the food wasn't. We ordered sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and veggies. The onion rings appetizer were overcooked, almost burnt. Didn't want to mention it for fear our meal would be messed with. One steak was mostly grissle, the other ok. What really was terrible was whatever they tried to pass off as mashed potatoes. Whatever it was, it was watery; tasteless; and had a strange color. We chose to eat what was edible, pay our bill and leave. Don't see myself going back for a long while if ever.
