Cute homemade ice cream place, only downside is that it's cash only. The small is the biggest small I have ever had and I loved the amount of toppings throughout. Just please get venmo or zelle or something! read more

Under new ownership now, as Heinz and Linda deserve their retirement. Sal is the new owner. He and his team are doing an excellent job! The cashiers are friendly, and the ice cream is as good as ever. No more inside seating areas ever since covid. But now there are 2 cash registers, so the lines move a little bit faster. Be prepared to wait for a while if the line is really long. Still cash only. Highly recommend! read more

Ordered an ice cream cake for a birthday party. The person that answered the phone was extremely kind & helpful as I had several questions before finalizing the order. The cake was delicious but I do want to note that we didn't cut into it until an hour after I picked it up (meaning it had been sitting out for an hour) & it was still rock solid. read more

Amazing homemade ice cream with friendly service! Wish I lived closer! Always a great time

Ordered: Large Milkshake (~$5): with Banana ice cream and Vanilla-Based Cookies & Cream Aya's take: So just a fun fact, the price difference between the small and large milkshake is like 22¢ so just size up! I decided to try out a different ice cream spot than my usual place and noticed Super Scoops was relatively close. The location is connected to some other shops, and I was able to get a spot without issue in the early afternoon. The storefront is small, and you order at the window, and there are several "CASH ONLY" signs displayed. Ironically enough, they have QR codes printed on their cups, but can't do non-cash transactions. I decided to get a cup of pistachio and cherry vanilla as these are my measurements to see if an ice cream shop is worthy of a return visit. The pistachio ice cream was decent, but the cherry vanilla was bland and tasted freezer burnt. CV is the real test, so I think I'll skip returning here for any scoops. read more

The ice cream was very good, but we didn't realize it was cash-only. It was our first time visiting, and unfortunately, there aren't any signs near the flavor board where customers usually look first. If there's a line, it's also hard to see the signs at the counter. There's no ATM on-site either, which made the situation more difficult. After a few awkward minutes of me standing there waiting for my friend to run out and grab cash, the owner came out and, instead of offering understanding, made a comment about how there are signs everywhere. It didn't feel very welcoming, especially for a first-time customer who had simply missed the policy. It might help if they mentioned the cash-only policy more clearly upfront, as it's an easy mistake for new visitors to make. read more

I don't know if I can make this review "Yelp Elite Long" (haha) but I can say that this little ice cream joint is a scoop of Paradise in Parsippany! Yesterday I pulled an almost "Elle Woods-in-Legally-Blonde" stunt (think manicure scene when she frantically parks her car at warp speed in front of the salon in desperation) because my craving for a sundae had hijacked all rationality. *Don't worry, I'm a safe driver and no one was harmed lol.* This family owned ice cream shop has been in operation since 1998 by Heinz and Linda. Their ice cream is homemade and boy can you taste the quality!!! I got a medium hot fudge sundae and it was SUPERB. Even the whipped cream is divine. EVERYTHING HERE IS MADE ON THE PREMISES. The shop is more than just ice cream and also offers ice cream cakes (made to order), novelties, and Italian ices. The employees are as sweet as the treats here. Very nice!!! Five stars all around for Super Scoops. Hey look, Yelp is telling me my review is "looking pretty epic" so I guess you can't shut me up about this place haha!! The icecream is good but nothing that blew me away. They have a wide selection of flavors which is nice, with some pretty cool ones like pumpkin and snickers, although some of their new flavors like "Cookie Monster" can be found everywhere else. I asked them what their most popular flavor was, expecting to find their special flavor, but the answer was vanilla. Other than that, my scoop was handed to me nearly fallinf off the cone, it was much smaller than my friend's, and my cone broke. At least the icecream was worth my money but I'm not sure I'll drive all the way here again. read more

Cute and very busy mom and pop shop. They have your typical flavors of soft serve: vanilla, chocolate and twist. Their hard serve flavors are good too. What I love about this place is they have your full sugar section and little or sugar free section of the same flavors. I had the cherry vanilla and I have no complaints. Very creamy and smooth with huge chucks of cherry. For a single scoop it was big. Very glad I went with just a scoop. It doesn't melt as quickly so I was able to savor it. The staff is really friendly. They welcome you with a smile and warm welcome. And answer all your questions. Everyone there was very nice. Great place to handle the summer heat. read more

Cash only?! What a PIA.. Other than that, it was a nice treat to have Super Scoops homemade ice cream. I walk into a tiny shop. I see some handwritten signs but I need to have a visual on the ice cream. Any Rocky Road? Counter person looks at me strange. Nope. If there is one thing I judge an ice cream shop by and its their waffle cones. If its stale then I'm cranky because I spent extra to have a fresh one. Fresh cones, fresh ice cream, fresh fresh fresh. We came out here from Hackensack and it was incredible! Little hole in the wall next to a pizza joint that has been set up well for Covid! I got a medium Cookie Monster with chocolate crunchies on top.. it was amazing. It tasted like birthday cake ice cream cookie (if that makes sense) and my bf got Key Lime Pie with blueberry topping (and it had real blueberries in it). It was such a flavorful explosion of deliciousness. I can't wait to go back, but I read online they're only open for the spring and summer read more

Best ice cream and frozen treats in the area! We wait all winter for them to reopen and come as often as possible in the warm weather to get our fix. The dipped waffle cones are the best, try the fruity pebbles. Their hard ice cream is so creamy and delicious, not overly sweet and never freezer burned. The key lime pie and cherry cheesecake are my suggestions for ones to try! We've brought plenty of ice cream cakes and cases of ice cream sandwiches to picnics and parties and they're always a hit too. Thanks Super Scoops! read more

ice cream always fresh and delicious. lots of options. staff wonderfully friendly. only issue....a bit pricey.

With two kids playing sports pretty much all year I have become kind of an ice cream expert. Super Scoops is easily my favorite in Morris County if I'm just getting ice cream. The owners are really great folks and are super nice and patient when you show up with an entire team of screaming softball or baseball players. The ice cream here is simply better tasting and creamier than in a lot of other places. Soft-serve isn't so full of air that it feels like mousse and is just great. Lots of great flavors to choose from, though not as many as some other local places and the prices are better than a lot of their competitors. Big Kudos for using hard ice cream in their shakes... Ask my kids 50 times where they want to go for ice cream and you'll get 50 "Super Scoops"!!!!! read more

The ice cream at Super Scoops was excellent. They had a bunch of candy flavors like almond joy, snickers, and butterfinger, as well as all the classics. There was also a good selection of fun cones and toppings. I settled on a small butterfinger and it was creamy with huge chunks of the candy bar poking out of the delicious ice cream. So why the 3 stars? Well, the girl helping us kindly rolled her eyes every time we asked for a sample and was less than friendly or helpful in explaining sizes, etc. I visited Super Scoops with a large part and none of us had been there before. I would like to think I will revisit because the ice cream was so good but that server really left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Super scoops lives up to its name by giving gigantic sized super scoops. If you can somehow control yourself to getting only one scoop out of their ice cream flavor arsenal, kudos to you. I got one scoop of almond joy and one scoop of coffee in a rice Krispy treat waffle cone. The gf had more discipline and got one scoop of strawberry in a pebble fruit waffle cone. They have so many cool waffle cones that add to the eating experience. They also have many cool flavors like almond joy which I love, cotton candy, Cookie Monster, etc. Most of the people who came in were getting soft serves so I'll have to come back and try it some other time. read more

Visited this past weekend. They have a wide variety of flavors, made fresh daily. The ice cream is cold stone creamery style, with toppings mixed into a base. We tried Cookie Monster, pineapple cheesecake, and Almond Joy. Each flavor was smooth and creamy; the toppings were plentiful and delicious. I enjoyed each one but surprisingly, I gravitated most towards Cookie Monster. Don't be shocked by it's alarming blue shade--it's milky and scrumptious with its little cookie bits. --really tasty ice cream --friendly staff --local --only accepts cash --no different types of flavors So I've been eating ice cream a lot lately.....that's right the personal trainer eats ice cream. Did I mention I became a trainer so I could eat ice cream? Not true...but I digress....anyway Sunday afternoon called for ice cream so I grabbed a $20 and headed over. They have a good selection of your standard flavors and a few different ones like salted caramel, pumpkin, snickers. I guess those are standard but for the size of this place I thought it was cool. I got a small cup of vanilla chip with rainbow sprinkles, and I got hubs a cup of softserve with hot fudge. Neither of us had any complaints. I've been here several times, the ice cream is always fresh and they're always friendly. Wish they were closer....although prob not a good idea. some damn good ice cream! awesome sized cones and the scoops completely fill them too! I got fudge brownie, confetti cake batter, and play dough in a butterfinger waffle cone and I gotta say it was perfect! honestly as weird as the play dough flavor looks, it actually is just color died cookie dough in a rich vanilla cake-y type flavor. 2 big waffle cones with three scoops each came to only about $8.50. 6:30pm Mother's Day. 3-4 people ahead of us. Employees quick to help them. "Cash Only" sign meant hitting up Wells Fargo a block up/across the road. Our cash stash helped us avoid the inconvenience of loading back into the car/car seat so back in we went. 8ish people ahead of us had come from the bank. Accepting credit cards would be nice. 3 orders cost $14. No tables but bench seating is inside and out. We sat inside - the benches need a deep cleaning so our 5 yr old chose to stand. He had a small cup of watermelon ice. Texture and taste - fantastic! As a moderate ice cream eater he didn't finish so child size would have worked. We dropped his first ice face down on the floor but no line so ordering another was quick (add $4). Husband had a small cup of rum raisin. For $1 more had it turned into a sundae w/ peach topping, whipped cream and a cherry. I wanted a small w/ 2 flavors but that requires upsize to medium so I switched to butterfinger blast in a choc dipped sprinkles covered waffle cone. The ice-cream was creamy but seemed to have chunks of real peanut butter in it. I prefer the candy bar alone but others may like the added peanut butter. The cone was fresh - tasted great! The ice cream is homemade and creamy so bumped the rating up to 4 stars. read more

Very good ice cream, friendly owner - but it's not the best in North Jersey. Certainly not bad by any means. My problem is that there's too much sugar in the ice cream. It's natural sugar, but the flavor ends up tasting partly like sugar instead of like what the flavor is supposed to be. That's somewhat nitpicky, but when I grew up with Holsten's, I have to set the bar really high for ice cream quality. read more

Not impressed. The ice cream is fair, the service is lacking, and the banana ice cream had no banana flavor that my wife (nor I) could taste. When my wife addressed the flavor deficiency, the response received was that of inconvenience. Thank god this was just a fill in for our normal five star spot! read more

Nothing so great. It didn't wow me. It's not bad or anything and the service was fine and friendly enough. I just wasn't amazed. Texture is good. So I appreciate that, but the flavor was super subtle. I tried a kiddy cup of black raspberry and a separate kiddy cup of traditional strawberry (not the strawberry cheesecake). It's not bad, but it seemed lacking in flavor to me. I'm not going to trash the place because it didn't $u¢k, but it's just ok. Nothing amazing and no strong desire to return. read more

I love Super Scoops. Many people talk about Denville dairy, but I find Super Scoops ice cream to taste fresher and richer. Went here with my family. We are two adults and two toddlers. We ordered 2 large milkshakes and asked for 2 extra cups so we can give some to the children. The lady at the register told me it was 50 cents extra per cup. Ok, what was I supposed to do? I had to pay it. To the owner: I know cups cost money, but do you really need to charge a family with 2 small children for two extra cups??? Is this how you want to make money from your customers??? It's not like I ordered 1 small shake and asked to divide it up into 4 cups. Two large shakes was around 10 dollars, not cheap. I am giving 3 stars because the shakes were actually pretty good, not great, but good. Honestly, this place rubbed me the wrong way and I will probably not be going back MB. read more

How can you write a short review and get right to the point? I'll show you. Best ice cream ever!! Hands down. There really isn't anything more that needs to be said. If you want ice cream, you come here. It is that simple! Their ice cream cakes are insanely good. If you bring one of their ice cream cakes to any party, just watch and listen to all the reactions as people eat it. They really are that good.
