For context, I'm only in my 30s--not old by any stretch--so it's wild to be treated like an inconvenience. I already knew exactly what I wanted and asked if they had peanut butter. The male employee completely brushed me off, curtly telling me "we have nut flavors over there," totally ignoring the fact that I had asked for a specific flavor. It didn't get any better from there. The employee who scooped my ice cream stood there holding it right in her hands, laughing and chatting with her coworkers while completely ignoring me and letting it melt. Just a group of young, completely unprofessional Gen Z workers who clearly don't care about their customers. Completely dismissive and a total waste of time and money. I won't be coming back.

This is what gelato is supposed to be -- rich, real, unforgettable…read more Boza Creamery completely restored our faith in what real gelato should taste like. We actually arrived an hour before opening, but the owner -- who was sitting outside with another person -- greeted us with a big smile and invited us in anyway. He asked where we were from and spoke passionately about crafting his flavors fresh every day, using real ingredients. You could tell he genuinely cares about the experience. He offered us a sample of a dragon fruit flavor he was experimenting with -- it was light, clean, and bursting with natural fruit flavor. No artificial aftertaste, just smooth, refreshing perfection. We ended up ordering the pistachio baklava, and it was hands-down one of the best gelatos we've ever had. The pistachio was rich, nutty, and full-bodied -- not that artificial green stuff you get in most places. The baklava pieces added just the right amount of texture and sweetness, without overpowering the balance. It was creamy without being too heavy, and every bite made you want to slow down and savor it. There was also plenty of parking, and we got to sit outside to enjoy our treat in peace. We never felt rushed -- just welcomed and appreciated. We were so caught up in the moment, we forgot to ask his name -- but his kindness and passion won't be forgotten. This place is a gem. If you're looking for authentic, thoughtfully made gelato, this is it. We'll definitely be back -- probably with friends. *Update: We went back to Bosa Gelato last night and loved the experience even more. The place was very active and spotless, even during the final hour before closing. We shared a cone with strawberry and mint chocolate -- both flavors were delicious! The mint had a refreshing cooling effect without any lingering aftertaste, and the strawberry was perfectly sweet without being overpowering. The two young ladies working were super friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. It was lovely to see the shop so lively at night!

Who doesn't love chocolate?…read more It wasn't until 1502 that the Europeans embraced the goodness of this yummy treat, when Columbus, on his fourth voyage to the Americas, seized a canoe filled with cocoa beans and brought them to Europe. It was bitter and did not catch on. People couldn't understand why the South American natives loved the stuff. It took about a hundred years until a group of friars added honey to the bitter liquid, making it sweeter and much tastier. With several locations in northern New Jersey, we went to Totowa right off on Union Blvd. Thanks to my partner's sister's recommendation, we arrived at Chocolate House as first-timers to satisfy our sweet tooth. My partner and I were greeted by the staff upon entering this clean and bright interior, who handed us a menu. It featured crêpes, waffles, cheesecakes, pancakes, shakes, and sundaes. We decided on the Strawberry, Banana, and Nutella Crêpe and Brownie Fudge Waffle. The food was exceptional, far superior to any other place we've tried in a long time. The attention to detail in presentation and taste elevates the experience. Seating is limited on a few tables. Price was reasonable, and the service was friendly and quick. We enjoyed our experience and can recommend this place.
