As other potential customers have indicated, SuperNova was unresponsive to my request for an estimate on electrical work at my townhome. I emailed them and used their website form, but neither path got me any response at all. I did not try asking them through Yelp. Very disappointing. read more

I had an electrical short in the upper floors of my house. Wasn't sure what the cause was but could smell something had burned. Called Supernova - they happened to be in the area and came 2 hrs later. Fixed the issue (loose wiring and defective outlet) and were on their way. Daniel was great to work with and wore a mask and shoe coverings the whole time. Would recommend. read more

Daniel and Jose with SuperNova Electric did a terrific job today installing my new foyer chandelier! The job was a little tricky due to really high ceiling height. They did a wonderful job removing the old outdated chandelier and installing a beautiful new one I had already purchased online. There was some troubleshooting involved, but they were helpful to discuss things and problem-solved like it was their own home. Everyone arrived on time for both the original free estimate and the actual job installation. They were very professional, performed neat and tidy workmanship, and cleaned up the work area afterward. We will definitely call upon them again in the future! read more

We were told by HVAC repairman that we had a faulty breaker in our panel. We contacted Super Nova via yelp and were able to get a quote, set up an appointment and have the appointment within 4 hours. These guys are responsive, courteous (wore shoe covers to keep our floors clean), and honest. They told us that the wire to the breaker was not properly attached which is likely why it kept tripping. They said we probably did not need to replace it and they could fix the wire. We choose to replace the breaker anyway since it was only an extra $20 and we wanted to make sure the problem was solved. I will be calling SuperNova again when we have other electrical work. read more

Guys did a great job, I would definitely call them again. They were punctual, did great work for a great price, and cleaned up before heading out. So glad to have found them! read more

These guys are the best! Got home tonight (Friday) tired from a long week, and my refrigerator and microwave were non-functional. More concerning was a faint crackling sound from the ancient looking circuit breaker box. This is not what you want heading into the weekend. I called 2 companies, but Daniel with SuperNova answered right away and said he'd try his best to show tonight, or first thing in the AM at the latest. I texted him a picture of my breaker box so he wouldn't waste a trip without having the right part. He texted back that he was on his way! 25 minutes and barely $100 later, my breaker and circuit were repaired properly and professionally, and more significantly my major appliances were back online for the weekend! I would (and will) recommend SuperNova Electric without hesitation. They're courteous, professional, well trained and fairly priced. read more

Extremely professional, showed close to stated time and was very responsive. Technician was knowledgeable and was able to find and fix the problem in a reasonable amount of time. Will use again. read more

I called SuperNova Electric because my ceiling fans kept tripping their dedicated breaker. On their initial visit they were unable to resolve the issue because, as luck would have it, the breaker wouldn't trip...until right when they had put everything away and were about to leave. At that point I had to make another appointment as it was late in the afternoon. Long story short - Dan and his team were able to find the source of the problem and fix it properly. It's been about 3 weeks and we have had no issues. Dan and his team are all professional, cordial and overall nice guys. They wore shoe footies to protect our carpet and left everything as they found it. The price was right as well. read more

I needed them to run new cable outlets in the house and check the situation with my dryer outlet. The rave reviews for these guys are very true! They squeezed me in their schedule within 48 hours and did an amazing job! Very professional, efficient, honest pricing...and they take special care to vacuum and clean when they are done :) I would recommend these guys to any friend! read more

As a result of a DIY mistake my electric box needed to be relocated to be in code. I sought out several electricians and Dan was the only one that explored a number of options in order to try to save me from a pricey mistake. He also noticed several other items that were wrong from previous additions to the electrical work that the other electricians missed and said he would take care of as well. I was really impressed with his professionalism along with his friendliness and asked him to also quote out a rough in wiring for my addition and finally adding in a whole house surge protector. All of this was under what others were quoting for just the relocation of the box let alone the other work I added on. Dan and his crew showed up the day they were scheduled and worked hard the entire day and well into the night. There was a hiccup when it came to the inspection and it turned out the inspector was wrong in how he was interpreting the code and Dan was able to demonstrate to the supervisor why the work met the code which the supervisor agreed with. Dan remained calm during this, communicated options with me, and assured me that the work was fine. Talking to Dan he is a master electrician and runs his small business alongside his two employees. I think he can keep his costs low because he focuses on the work and takes care of the administrative stuff at nights and on the weekends. I can recommend his services enough and most definitely would choose him again for other projects. read more

Daniel is amazing! Who says that about their electrician? I do, because we have had so many contractors work in our home and never had service like this company. They have exceptional customer service. They get the job done correctly and I trust their expertise. read more

I am hugely impressed with this company, and with Daniel and Mr. Ubence in particular. With our electrical issue, There was an issue with the Dominion line and our residential equipment. After asking a few questions when I initially called, Daniel diagnosed the issue over the phone (!!!), and a short time later, Mr. Ubence confirmed in person. These are incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and helpful staff, and I will certainly use SuperNova's services again. read more

Excellent service. Quick and very responsibly priced. Requested an estimate and scheduled service via yelp. They responded within 30 minutes and were able to come out and fix our issue right away. read more

The electrician showed up on time, and he worked very efficiently when identified the problem of a loosely connected outlet. Compared to another electrical company I used before, that electrician just walked around and showed no interests to diagnosis, nor identifying the problems, SuperNova has a qualified electrician, and done great job. read more

It's disappointing to leave this review, especially after so many wonderful ones below. We called last week on Thursday to make an appointment for a short circuit on our breaker. They have come out before for something similar and we had a great experience. I spoke to Daniel on the phone who said they'd be out the next day between 3-4 pm, so my husband took the afternoon off work to wait for them. They never showed up. I sent a text message, called several times, sent an email and a message on yelp in an attempt to contact them since we had no power in our upstairs and we were entering a holiday weekend with guests coming. Their voicemail was full, so I was unable to leave a voice message. It's been 6 days and I never heard from them again. Very disappointing experience and would NOT recommend this company. read more

Reached out to these guys on Yelp for a quote on fairly small job and they were responsive to my messages. They gave me a rough quote almost immediately and refined it when they got more specific information about the job. They came out promptly and charged me exactly what they quoted. The work was neatly done and I'm happy. Will go back to them in the future as the need arises. Why can't all businesses operate like this? read more

Daniel came out within an hour to help remedy breaker issue! Thorough and patiently gave advice on issue. Have had work done prior and will not hesitate to use. read more

This is the second time we have used Daniel at SuperNova, and again he did a beautiful job. He installed smart switches for our ceiling fan then added to the components of our security system. Not only is his work neat, clean, and precise, Daniel is friendly and efficient. We have referred him to our family and friends and he is our go-to for our electrical needs. read more

Jose arrived not only timely but early for scheduled appointment ! He efficiently replaced an outside lamp post light and sensor. Also checked porch lights that had worked inconsistently and brought them back to perfect working order. I have used SUPERNOVA in the past and will continue to do so. They are professional in every way. read more

These guys are fantastic! They have done 2 jobs for us in the last month. Showed up on time for both. Listened to what we needed. Performed the work quickly. Super pleasant. Prices are more than fair!!! Better than any electrician we have had in the past. These guys set the bar! read more

We had a fan/light instillation done with SuperNova and it was a great experience. The price they offered was much lower than other companies around, but the service and the work was of very high quality. They responded promptly any time I had a question, communicated the project clearly, and their work was excellent. I have other rooms that need fan/light fixtures, and I will absolutely use SuperNova for all my future projects. Highly recommended! read more

Daniel is great - very friendly and will explain everything to you when the job's done. I called them up to replace a whole electrical panel. They were flexible with scheduling and did a great job. At the end it cost exactly what they quoted me even though it took them longer than they expected (older house, crazy wiring). Will definitely use them again for anything electrical I need. read more

Recently bought a new house. Before I moved in I wanted four ceiling fans installed on slanted ceilings. They got all four down in one day. My wife was happy not to buy lamps for each room and have lights before we even moved in. Great service as well read more

Had an emergency that couldn't wait. Called Daniel right away and he came out and resolved our issues with ease. There's never any doubt the job won't be done right. One of the most confident electricians around helps give us the peace of mind that no job is to much for him. He's my guy. read more

Dan picked up the phone very promptly and very quickly understood my situation. He took time out of his day to give me advice and tips on my situation - it was very well appreciated. read more

Great service. Contacted them early in the morning and had the problem fixed before lunch. Will use again.

Dan is fantastic! I can't say enough great things about him. He came bang on time for both the quote and to complete the job. The quote and price were super reasonable (especially given how time sensitive the project was for us). I'd hire him again in a heart beat. FIVE STARS! read more

My daughter needed 2 ceiling fans installed in her house. She called Daniel at Super NOVA electric. He was able to come with in a few days of calling. He quoted a price on the phone. I was taking care of sitting the house for my daughter while she was at work. Daniel arrived between the hours that he said he would be there. He said his 2 helpers would be coming shortly. Daniel put plastic down and made sure everything was covered before starting the work. His workers arrived and before we knew it 2 ceiling fans were up and working! They cleaned up everything and even vacuumed. I highly recommend Daniel, Jose, and David for their conscious work ethic and good work. The price was as quoted and reasonable. We will use them again. Thanks for a great job! read more

Daniel was great. He was able to get to our house within a few days of calling and honored the price he had quoted us to swap out three ceiling fans. Reasonably priced, on time, cleaned up spotlessly. We'll hire him again! read more

I have now hired Daniel multiple times, and he does wonderful work. I have specifically hired him to install recessed lighting, move fixtures, and add receptacles. When he is challenged by our 1988 townhome's poor construction, he is able to find very pleasing solutions quickly. He is extremely fair, very honest, and gets the job done quickly and cleanly. I highly recommend Daniel, and wish that he did more than just electricity as I would hire him for all our home improvement needs. Thanks, again, Daniel! -Jeff read more

We had a great experience with SuperNova. They were very responsive via the phone and through yelp, which you don't get very often with some businesses. We had them install a new electrical outlet and mount a TV in our home gym. They did a great job, were quick, and were fairly priced. Will consider them for any future electrician needs. read more

Ive hired electricians in the past, and for one reason or another, they all were a headache to deal with so I was dreading finding one this time around. I found Supernova here on Yelp, and to my surprise, they were responsive, competitively priced, knowledge and honest. Daniel was on time and completed the work quickly with no issues. If you're looking for quality work at a fair price, look no further. I'm glad I now have a reliable electrician I can call if need be. read more

Installed an outlet for a over the range microwave. They were able to fit me into their schedule. Quick service and fair price!

Daniel and Jose were great to work with. Communicating with them was easy and they were very professional and courteous. They paid attention to my needs, explained clearly the work that would be performed, and there were no surprises during execution. They showed up on time, were fully prepared with equipment needed, had replacement parts handy and finished the work quickly. It was apparent they knew what they were doing. I would not hesitate to recommend them or to have them over again whenever I have a need in future. read more

Hire Dan and his team! We had a company come out for a quote before I reached out to SuperNova and Dan's quote came in way lower than the other guys. We needed some light fixture work done and Daniel was one of the first electricians to respond to our quote request. He provided fair pricing and worked within our scheduling needs. Fantastic Service!! Saturday night at 6:00 pm and I have a small fire in my breaker box. Yikes! My first thought was that I would never find someone to come out at that day and hour. After seeing several very positive reviews and noting that they were open until 7:00 pm on Saturday, I called Daniel at SuperNova. He said he could come within the hour and HE DID. With what he had in his truck Daniel was able to restore power to most of the house and show me what the problem was. $$$ were dancing around in my head and when Daniel charged me only $95 I was positively surprised at his more than reasonable rate. Daniel agreed to come back on Monday and replace the bus in the back of my fuse box that had been damaged by a loose breaker. Come Monday, Daniel showed up on time, with the parts, and got everything fixed, replaced and working for about 1/3 of what I was afraid I would have to pay. He even took the time to diagnose and fix a light switch problem I had for no extra charge. This is a young, hard working and honest guy who really knows his trade. I have already recommended SuperNova to half a dozen of my friends and coworkers and I will certainly call SuperNova for any future electrical issues I may have. You can't go wrong with Daniel and his SuperNova! read more
