Was in town for a concert and staying at the nearby hotel. My daughter and I were excited to eat here. We ordered beef dumplings, vegetable dumplings, sesame balls, crab fried rice to start. Everything was bad tasting except the sesame balls. The crab fried rice was like some canned tuna on top of some sad fried rice with no flavors but an old tuna can taste. They were nice enough to refund us for everything but the sesame balls. Don't waste your money here. Also we did not enjoy the bright spotlight shining at each table. Great dumplings, and fried rice and fried noodles, in Culver City? Yes! Sure, nothing is going to beat the San Gabriel Valley, but Super Dumpling is delicious, close, and in a nice space. The chicken xiao long bao was great but the star of the meal was the pan fried beef buns. Maria V. did a great job helping us get a good variety, and the right amount of food. (Family of 7) The Service is of high quality, food items often start coming to the table quickly around 5-10 minutes from when we put the order, even at high traffic hours. I have highly recommended this spot to my friends and held my wife's birthday there. I haven't gotten the chance to tell the owner the high praise i have for his establishment as i often see him working hard on the side, but i hope he reads this. Service is always great, we always pickup from guava candies on the way out. We tried various dumplings, and our favorite is the specialty spicy chicken wonton. They've also expanded their regular entre menu too which is nice - i.e. kung pao chicken and more noodle options compared to back at open. read more

The "Super Dumpling Restaurant" was a great surprise to me. I have passed by it many times but never entered, today Friday, 12/19/25, two friends and I had lunch there. One friend often goes to this restaurant and knew it well. She told us that it was one of her favorite places to eat. Well, let me tell you about the experience that I had at this restaurant. First of all, I loved the calmness, the quietness, the nice feel of the place, and warmth of the staff. I loved that our server, Fernando, knew a lot about the food being served and could respond quickly when asked direct questions about the food. Another one of the staff was Christian. He too was very helpful and knowledgeable about the foods. He was seen as friendly and a hard worker. I loved that the place had lots of windows. The openness of the restaurant was great. I did not feel closed in. I could see outside as well as all around inside. This made me feel happy. The manager, Nesly, was very approachable, and helpful. I loved that he displayed professionalism and respectfulness to the customers. I was very impressed at the cleanliness of the menu. I did not have to clean it off myself. Great job staff. Our server, Fernando, was quick, kept the table cleared off and was friendly as he worked. You must try the food, which was outstandingly excellent. Whether you come in this restaurant hungry or not, you must try the Orange Chicken, Garlic String Beans, Siu Mai Shrimp, Yang Chow Fried Rice, Sesame Balls, Chicken XLB. People get ready...... this food is the best. We ate, and ate, and ate, I took the few leftovers home. The food was seasoned just right, the smelled would make you want to "pig out" which we did. I was so looking forward to trying Super Dumpling when I read about this new place in the Westfield Mall. I really wanted to like them since the restaurant is near where I live and I LOVE dumplings. We went for lunch and ordered the Black Pepper Beef Tenderloin lunch portion, the Beef Steamed Dumplings, and the Fried Beef Dumplings. The Beef Tenderloin came out first and the meat was tough, not at all tender, and lacked flavor, but the mushrooms were delicious. I would order a side order of just the mushrooms cooked this way. The portion, though was *small.* It's labeled lunch size, but there's no way anyone would be filled with this and a bowl of rice for lunch; it's barely an appetizer size and it was $14. The Steamed Beef Dumplings were just ok. They had very thick skin and the filing was bland, nearly flavorless. The filing in the Fried Beef Dumplings was similarly underwhelming, and we both had to add soy sauce to our dipping sauce to compensate. On top of that, the fried dumplings hadn't been fried long enough so the bottoms were slightly hard, but not crisp at all, which made them tough and chewy. Both dumpling orders were a decent size, but at ~$50 all in for lunch, we both left hungry. I'm sad that we didn't enjoy our meal more. I don't think we'll be returning. read more
