We got lucky and found parking in the small lot, and there some seats available when we went on a sunday around 6pm. Tried the himalayan samosas and there's 2 per serving. Honestly, it was a meal in itself. It had a great flavor and the samosa was huge. I forgot the second appetizer we ordered but it was crispy Kale and it had a great falvor. I really recommended it. For the momo I only got the 65, and it tasted way better the next day after all the flavor soaked in. I'll go back and try rhe butter chicken and vindaloo as I heard it is very popular. The service was fast and there's even so many authentic flavors of ice cream, some i have never heard of.
Service was great, the vibe was super chill. Parking in the main plaza but additional in the back off of palms. I got the butter masala momo and it was a crazy combo. My first encounter to Nepalese food so combining dumplings with butter masala was a new concept to me but I'm sure it's going in that part of my brain with specific cravings lol. I had the chicken filling but will have to try out the paneer filling and the vegan filling. Will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu. Recommending this !!!!!
A unique twist on XLBs. Service was kind and there were a lot of different menu items, but limited parking and seating. PARKING Parking structure is sooo small you might be better off finding street parking. These spots are compact and probably filled during weekends. SERVICE Great service, took our orders quickly but waited for 30 minutes for 1 order of the Manchurian momos... way too long! INSIDE Not a lot of seating in this little shop, it was packed on a weekend and extremely cramped. FOOD Tried their Manchurian momo which tasted like a spicy and sweet sauce drenching XLBs little wonton dumplings with a chicken filling. The dough was a bit stale, but there was a lot chicken filling inside. The sauce was wayyy too spicy for me and my bf. OVERALL After getting hyped from all these yelp reviews, I was really looking forward to trying this place. Unfortunately I think just because it's doused in sauce and way too spicy, maybe I'll have to go back and try them again some other time with something less spicy!
Please do not sleep on this restaurant! I was not expecting much walking in but the aromas are intoxicating. I ordered the Chaat Momo and a friend ordered the Butter Masala Momo. Both dishes were 10/10. Large portions (we could have split one order), reasonably priced (under $20) and so absolutely delicious! My only complaint is that they are so far away from me! The menu is so large, I feel like I could eat a different meal every day for a month and not get tired of this restaurant! I am trying to figure out when I can go back! The service is also great, very friendly!
we got the mushroom himalayan chow mein and the coco, chili and butter masala momos. in general, the flavors and textures are on point. every bitt is satisfying. the butter masala is perfection, with tons of herbs providing depth. coco was a bit one note but a unique flavor. chili tasted like italian pasta sauce imo and i did not like it but my bf and friend were in love with it. they said they were already wanting to go back moments later!
Wow.. I understand the hype. We went to Momo Souls on a Sunday around 5:45 pm (15 after opening) and they were already full of customers inside. We ordered the butter chicken momos (must try!), chaat momos, Manchurian momos and Szechuan momos - all listed in order of what we liked best to least. The Szechuan had a little toooo much flavor for our liking so we'd likely swap that out for something lighter next time. We also tried the ice cream which was delicious!! Can't wait to come back here again.

We got the Himalayan noodles, butter, masala Momos, and deep fried paneer. Himalayan noodles were the best. It was tasty, but not sure how much different it was from regular good quality chow mein. Butter masala Momos for also decent. I liked how there was plenty of sauce with a lot of cheese mixed into it. I didn't think the filling of the Momos were anything special. The deep fried paneer was really crispy, had a great onion relish on top, and came with bomb sauces.
A colleague and friend of mine introduced me to Momo Souls recently. I'm so glad I made it out! For a Monday night it was pretty crowded around 6:30pm. There were counter seats and regular 2 person cafeteria seats that you can move around to make a larger table. Parking is tricky (available in the main parking lot, a smaller lot behind the building off Palms or street parking on overland. Spaces become more available when the yoga classes upstairs finish a class (find the nearest yoga mat holder and follow them to their car... but don't be creepy!) The food: Himalayan fried rice with grilled chicken - so plentiful and filling! Took half of it to go. Coco curry bowl - very flavorful, no notes Manchurian momo - the sauce with it was really spicy. Just the way I like it! The dumplings were juicy and tasty. Very obvious since this place is known for their dumplings! Mango lassi - very creamy and perfect combo with the spice I saw people around us ordering a wide array of dishes which showed me that everything on their menu was worth trying. I'll definitely come back and try their szechuan rice, another curry bowl and a chow mein... and more momos!
OMG! Incredible! The line before they open will confirm this. One of my besties told me this was a must, so we came on a Wednesday at 5:15pm, 15 mins before they open and snagged a parking spot. Parking is limited but lots of street parking. We waited patiently by the door. Soon after there were multiple people to follow. We order a bunch of momos. The butter masala and the saag with paneer mixture. Additionally, with got the cauliflower chili and the paneer pakora. Everything was incredible. It was too much food for 2 people but it gave us a ton of leftovers. We left for a hike in Brentwood and came back for dessert. They have a nice selection of ice cream, traditional and Nepali favors. I went for the inquire flavors which was a definite win. There is seating instead and it's snagged up quickly. Luckily, we got there early and didn't have to wait. Seriously. So delicious. Nothing fancy, but the best Nepali food I have ever had.

Hands down the best momos we've had at a restaurant in California.The chicken momos were the clear winner over the veggie ones and every dipping sauce we tried was so good.Loved having different sauce options to mix things up.The little details made our experience even better, like the masala chai served in a clay cup and the authentic plates and bowls. The chicken momos in the butter sauce were rich and a little heavy, but absolutely worth it. Can't wait to come back and try more flavors, especially the kurkure momos!Additionally, the severs/cashiers were so kind,patient, and answered our questions happily! We appreciated how they went the extra mile to help us out!
First time trying Nepalese food and I'm so glad I did! My friend has been talking about this place nonstop for months and I finally decided to check it out. We ordered the classic butter masala momos and samosas. The samosas were some of the best I've ever had. I love all the dipping sauces especially the sweet chili and cilantro. The momos were covered in the butter masala sauce. The dumplings itself were so soft with tender meat. I do wish there was some spice in this dish. It was also cheesier than I expected. I'd recommend getting a side of roti to soak up the sauce. They do not skimp on sauce at all. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu!
I tried their butter masala dumplings. The sauce was flavorful and rich. Dumpling skin was good thickness and not too chewy. The chicken filling was seasoned well with a hint of ginger. There was a delightful surprise of melted cheese sticking some of the dumplings together. Pick up was seamless after ordering from their app. My only regret was that I could not try more of their dipping sauces because they all looked so good from looking at other people's meals in the restaurant. The one that came with my momos was a dark red sauce that overpowered the masala in its spicyness. When I ordered from the app, I picked "spicy" as my spice level but it was unclear to me that the spice level you choose corresponds to the sauce you receive and not the spicyness of the dumplings themselves. It's all good, still a pretty good dumpling! Next time I'd like to try their coco or machurian momos.
bomb.com literally so yum. first time trying and everything was delectable. We went around 6pm and it was not empty at all which was perfect. Service is great, they are super friendly. Ambiance was good, the music was good as well. Onto the main course!! The food-- We got the butter chicken and chicken 65 and omg they were delicious. Butter chicken was super creamy and the 65 was savory. We paired it with their sesame noodles and they were delicious. And some rice of course. I also tried their sugar cane drink and it was the perfect sweetness level and refreshing. Highly recommend!! read more

What an actual gem! I went to Momo souls with my friend and we loved every bite. She got the butter masala, which was an all around classic and a fusion of flavors. I got the Korma, which you can clearly taste the cashew base. The resturaunt was slightly crowded around dinner time, but vibes were fabulous. An incredibly family friendly atmosphere, as it's definitely a classic for people around the neighborhood! read more

The hype on this place has been unreal for the last 2 months - and I HATE to be THAT guy.... We first heard about it from a story where an influencer talked about this 'hidden gem', then another influencer did the same thing and the craziness began. Two previous failed attempts to eat there due to an insane parking lot and insane line to wait in (all before 7pm). Third try was a Friday at 5:15pm (we skipped lunch) to make sure we could get in and not have to wait too long. Tiny parking lot with people coming in from both sides was not any better but we found street parking nearby. We did a quick lookup as we waited outside to see what the internet says about Nepalese food as we LOVE Indian food - "milder, lighter and relies more on fresh vegetables & herbs - focusing on natural flavors of the ingredients rather than heavy sauces" We were hungry and wanted to try lots of things - Butter Masala Momo, Coco Momo, Himalayan Chowmein, and Saag Curry Bowl All good-sized portions, especially the Chowmein but where is the flavor?! I can live without spice, as we purposely didn't try anything spicy. But was super disappointed that nothing tasted all that interesting. It was all pretty bland, especially the Saag. On to the next hyped-up place...sorry. Quick tip: Don't try to park in their lot, especially after 7, it's small and crazy. read more
They should have gotten a bigger restaurant by the rate of their popularity these days! You know you gotta wait in line if you see a line... worth the wait? Yes! Very flavorful and filling momos! I tried their Coco Momo and Butter Masala Momos. Both hits! Great to share among 2-3 people. Don't forget the sauces. My personal favorite were the tamarind and cilantro mayo. The sweet chili has a strong kick of spicy, or I may be a wimp. Their Himalayan Chowmein was also a hit! Very different from Chinese chow mein in a very good way! Paratha is nice and crispy for $2.99 each. Mango Lassi is a must get! You're welcome! (in advanced). There are tables and high counters available but they fill up fast! Is there parking? Parking lot available with limited spots, with street parking also available. Be prepared to wait in line during peak times! On a Saturday at around 6:45pm, I waited 20 min. in line, and then another 20ish minutes to get the food. read more

Food is genuinely so so good. We got the butter masala momo and the chili chow mein. The flavor and texture was perfect. Place is pretty packed, so definitely make sure to come during non-peak traffic hours if you want to secure a table. read more

This place was popping! We got there about 30 mins after it opened and all the tables were taken and there was a line. We ended up ordering the butter masala momo, chicken 65 and the samosas. I wanted to get the chicken lollipop but it was already sold out. The momo was so good. Super flavorful and the filling was juicy. The chicken 65 was also so good. Very crispy with a hint of spice. It was very reminiscent to popcorn chicken with different flavor profile. The samosas were good but definitely not the highlight of the meal. I also go the mango lassi. This was so good. It's definitely a must order. I'll definitely be back to try more momo and rice plates. read more
It's so exciting for a restaurant in the difficult landscape of LA get their stars! Momo has increased in popularity and its well deserved. I, like many, saw it on Tiktok and had to try. The first time we went, it was closed unexpectedly on a Monday since they had to make more Momos to keep up in demand!! So we went back Tuesday and there was a line right at open. If you want Momos, try and get there early! But I think they're sorting it out :) Check Instagram for updates. Anyways, we tried the butter masala, coconut, and manchurian. I liked the butter and manchurian the best. The momos are generously stuffed and in the most delicious and flavorful sauces. Their chai was also fantastic. I can't wait to try their noodles too. It's hard to find excellent South Asian food in this part of LA sometimes so we're so grateful for this spot. read more
This is my favourite place in Los Angeles and everything here is absolutely delicious. I have been here 2-3 times with my husband and this place made our souls happy. From the Chaat Momos to the Afghani Momos, truly everything is cooked with perfection. The Mango Lassi is our favourite. Last time I tried the noodles and the Peri Peri fries and everything was so tasty. We even got our friends here and they enjoyed every bite. This place holds a special place in my heart and would highly recommend trying Momo Souls. read more

My kids discovered this new and unique eatery in west LA and loved it! Friends who visited Tibet had told me about the Tibetan momos- a popular dumpling with fillings made of chicken, buffalo, and (yike!) yak! I was so so glad to find Momo Souls, where I can get the Tibetan momos without risking Altitude Sickness! We've ordered delivery a few times and we love their Masala momos! The cream sauce is very rich and tasty. It was so rich that I used the leftover sauce to make a pot of Masala chicken after we had the momos. The Achari momos were too salty for our taste! Also love their special sauces - the mint sauce and the Tamarind sauce are two of my favorites. Their cuisine seems similar to some of the Indian dishes that I had; but they are unique and different in some ways. If you are food adventurers, like spicy sauces, and open to try different varieties from far comers of the world, I'd definitely recommend this place! read more
Super Delicious Nepalese Fast Food. Casual atmosphere with great service. You order at counter... friendly welcoming people ready to help you with your order, they give you a number and then about 5 minutes later they serve your piping hot food to your table. The somosas were very good, plenty of potato with carrot and pea filling, not at all greasy and came with both tamarind and mint chutneys. Their momos are round soft doughy little dumplings, almost the consistency of gnocchi. Their creamy tomato butter masala sauce is super yummy comfort food, even topped with a bit of melted cheese! Their creamy sag (spinach) is also a true comfort food...both can be ordered on top of momos or with rice. They offer chinese style spicy noodles too. There's quite a bit on their menu for hot spicy food lovers, but there's plenty that can be ordered mild or in between too. Their mango lassi tasted quite creamy, but lacking mango flavor. Been there twice, once in the afternoon and once later in the evening, both times I went there the place was jamming, filled with a quite variety of people. read more
What a wonderful new addition to the Palms neighborhood! I first heard about Momo Souls through a friend's Instagram story, and you know how you can sometimes tell that a restaurant is solid, just from looking at photos of the food? This was one of those instances. Though the restaurant space is small, we got lucky and were able to snag a table after ordering our dinner at the counter. My friends and I ordered the Butter Masala Chicken Momos, Himalayan Chow Mein, and a third dish that I can't quite remember the name of (some sort of spicy sausage stew with rice?). Of the three, the butter masala momos quickly became the standout dish for me. Each bite exploded with creamy, savory goodness that had me coming back for more, more, more! I was impressed with the massive portion size of chow mein, and I enjoyed trying our the different dipping sauces. Although there was a mixup with one of our dishes, I still appreciated the friendly and helpful service from the staff members. Parking is available in the strip mall, and I believe there is street parking in the surrounding area. I can't wait to come back! read more

I'm a regular at Momo Souls. I always order on the app because lately this place is getting popular and there could be a line which could take a while. So I highly recommend you use their website or their app to order. My go to is the dumplings, the chow mein, and they have chow mein with Szechuan sauce if you like spicy. And I always get some rice to go with it all. The portions are always generous and the people who own the place are very nice! I definitely recommend Momo Souls. read more

Been so excited to see what the big fuss was about when I kept seeing these Momo plates on Instagram. Stopped by finally to take home sone Butter Marsala Momo filled with chicken and Vindaloo Momo filled with chicken. Both were delicious and comforting, which such context flavors. We especially enjoyed the Momo with Butter Marsala sauce. Also ordered their Mango Lassi, which was this icy blended, sweet and creamy drink full of mangoes that made my mouth so happy especially because it was such a warm evening! The owners were really nice, and we look forward to trying their other dishes, especially the different types of chow mein. Also plan to get a paratha to soak up the wonderful sauce next time. Please support this wonderful mom and pop business! Hoping they might even expand and open a location in the valley! read more
Its located in a small parking lot so theres some parking but come right when they open because they get packed real quick on a saturday evening. Their hours are from 5:30-10pm everyday We cake across this place from a review id seen on socials and was so eager to try to it and finally did. I definitely stand on "hole in the walls" is where the best foods are found. Shout out to the young lady that helped me order since i wanted everything! What we ordered: Butter masala momos Coco momos Schezwan chow mein Butter marsala curry bowl Mango lassi Everything was super delicious loaded with bold flavor absolutely phenomenal. Their momos are the best dumplings ever and each order comes with 10 pieces They even bring you all these sauces from a spicy one to a sweet chili sauce i love it. The prices are pretty decent as well with everything we ordered it came out to about $70 I will definitely be coming back here again I highly recommend! read more

Momo Souls is a new spot that specializes in momos, aka Nepali/Tibetan dumplings. Having had momos before and loving them, I was especially interested in giving this place a try. Placed my order and went to pick up: it was very quick (within 15-20 minutes) and service was nice and friendly. I ordered a variety of items, including samosas, roti, and three types of momos: Afghan, Manchurian, and Butter Chicken. Just note that Momo Souls' momos are not traditionally-prepared, but rather with different sauces poured on pre-made dumplings. All the same, the verdict: -- Samosas (3.5/5): nice and flaky crust and plenty of potato filling inside, but strangely had a cinnamon flavor to it? I wasn't used to the flavor profile, but texture-wise was tasty. -- Roti (4.5/5): a little on the dry side, but excellent flaky texture. It tasted just as good reheated as leftovers! -- Afghan momos (4/5): creamy sauce that strangely reminded me of Alfredo sauce, but it paired well with the momos! -- Manchurian momos (3/5): sweet chili sauce flavor, reminiscent of Indo-Chinese taste. I opted for medium, and it delivered with a decent kick. Didn't really care for the flavor profile, but a nice try. -- Butter Chicken momos (5/5): creamy and flavorful. Nepalese food is unique with a blend of North Indian and Chinese flavors and techniques. Momos are classic dumplings and momo soul brings the classic flavors from Kathmandu. When you see the word 'schezuan' anything, you know it's the famous schezuan sauce, fiery and bold. They also do the soy chaap, which I have not come across anywhere else in North America. Soy chaap is a meat alternative that's steamed and then fried to mimic chicken or any other meat. It can be had in many different types of curries or sauce bases. I tried the paneer (cottage cheese) momos that come with stir fried peppers and onions in a fiery red schezuan sauce. Soy chaap with schezuan sauce and had a similar stir fry in red sauce to the momos along with a side order of rice that helps mellow out the heat. I also got the coco curry bowl with tofu, think green curry with tofu. Despite asking for medium, unlike the other two dishes that were fiery, this one was mild. You can pick your protein from chicken to soy to paneer depending on the type of dish you get. Overall a very satisfying takeout that lasted over 3 meals. A definite solid addition to the west side that is proudly authentic. Tashi the owner from Kathmandu was sweet and offered us a sample of ice cream while we waited for our order. We will be back to eat in person as they seemed to serve on plant based leafy bowls. Tip: they have fresh home made ice cream that was pretty satisfying, however some flavors may use a bunch of food color, so ask if you are allergic or don't want a multi colored tongue. Tip: if you can handle some spice, go for medium. They bring the flavors of the subcontinent and are not shy in bringing on the heat. Great momos, mom and pop vibe, and awesome customer service even with the busy lines! My favorite was the Manchurian momos and we also got the coco curry and that was scrumptious. Looking forward to trying more! Also, the price is super affordable for the amount of food you get! read more

It was my first time here and I was absolutely starving so ordered a ton of dishes between two people thinking it wouldn't be that heavy but it totally was. We got the classic curry Momos and the Szechuan chili Momo, an order of noodles, and the chicken curry. Everything was SO GOOD. The momos are fully stuffed with meat inside that I wasn't expecting it to be as solid or filling but you don't need much! I would recommend the curry one over the chili. Both were good but I definitely was gravitating over to one more than the other! The sauce was just so good that you just wanted to soak that all up with the delicious roti! Curry plate itself I felt like was typical and the noodles were a good mix of spicy and meat! The winner is definitely the curry Momo though for me! I also loved that the bowls were so unique but def need something under it so the sauces don't escape. read more

I don't know about selling organs but I would definitely sell my bag of toe nail clippings if I had that hobby and use that money to go here 20 times because it is one of the BEST dining experience I ever had. Im not exaggerating!! We never had Nepalese food before did not know what to expect but WOW!! We were blown away. The masala fries blew all of the fries I ever had out of the water. 10/10 Butter masala momo (dumplings) 10/10 Kurkure krunch was also fantastic. I live that crispy rice thing at the bottom. The restaurant was full, everybody happy and enjoying their food. I hope they get to expand because its a smaller place but it didnt matter because the whole experience was worth it. My first time having momos. I got the Manchurian Momos. They were good and spicy. You get about 10 or more per order. I had a few left over for a late night snack. I went back again and got the Himalayan Chow Mein and the butter chicken. Both were good and I would be happy to try more items from the menu. read more
