We ordered the beef and potato steamed dumplings, shrimp noodles, and mongolian beef. The food was delicious and had slightly sweet, subdued Chinese flavors. They also serve bigger portions so prices were justified, with a few dishes being more than enough to share. The service was average, our waitress was always gone so we had to ask other waiters for help, but we were helped nevertheless. Also, upon ordering our waitress told us upfront that the sushi was premade (she may have mentioned frozen even though the menu said fresh) so that was good to know since we were considering ordering them and chose otherwise. We appreciated that. Not necessarily the best or most authentic Chinese cuisine, but if you eat halal and want to eat Chinese, this is a great option for you! read more

A pretty spacious place in the Westfield Mall. Open, modern decor, lots of tables. The service was unbelievably fast. We got 5 dishes on the table within 20 minutes. Staff was friendly and helpful The cucumber salad was a hit, very well done. The beef bun with crispy bottom was nice, with a surprisingly sweet twist. The crab xiaolongbao was ok. Shrimp siumai was pretty good. The walnut shrimp was well done. For those of you who eat dumplings often, it is a little different because beef is used in place of pork. Great experience at Super Dumpling- at lunch they serve 1/2 portions, which is great since you can order more entrees. Started with spicy shrimp wontons (10/10), they were delicious and my favorite! Yanh chow fried noodles-8/10; spicy sesame noodles -8/10; chicken xiao long bao -7/10 - they were a little blah and I wouldn't order them again. A pleasant surprise! I dont usually wander this part of the mall but was lucky I did. The service was great. The hostess and waitress were super friendly and made us laugh. Just an overall enjoyable experience. The food was good too. We got soup dumplings which were full of flavor and soup. The green beans were crunchy ans garlicky. I had no idea this place has been open for a year! It was very good and tasted authentic. We got the Beef Crab XLB which was delicious. The soup was piping hot inside just like it's supposed to be. The spicy shrimp wonton special was very good; it was like a har gow. And the Singapore Rice noodle was very flavorful. I want to come back and try other dishes. The service was very friendly and the food came out fast. There didn't seem to be very many Asian workers which had me worried for a second, but I was still very pleasantly surprised with the food. The dishes I would probably get again are the beef pan fried dumplings and orange chicken. The beef fried noodles were not flavorful and were kinda dry had to spruce it up at home when we brought it home. Everything was ok and maybe the orange chicken was my favorite. We've been to super dumpling several times, and we always enjoy the food and have a great experience. This time I brought my brothers for their first time because I wanted them to try one of my favorite dumpling spots. As always, the food was delicious and didn't disappoint. so this review is mainly for the service we received that day. The only downside this visit was the service from one of the servers. She checked on our table, a little too often, to the point where it felt a bit excessive, but when it actually mattered, she wasn't attentive. She was also a bit abrupt, and while clearing the table, she accidentally spilled the dipping sauces. We completely understand that accidents happen, but she never came back to clean it up or apologize, so we ended up eating with a messy table for the rest of our meal and having to clean it ourselves. Despite that experience, we will definitely continue coming back because we truly like the food and have had consistently great experience in the past. Located at the Westfield Culver City mall, this restaurant was a nice surprise. I wasn't much as the reviews were mixed, but since we were in the area, we decided to pop in. I ordered the mapo tofu, and it was the largest portion I've ever seen! It seriously lasted me 3 full meals. The tofu also comes with beef so keep that in mind if you're a vegetarian. The flavor is on point and spicy, and it went well with some white rice. My bf got the black pepper chicken and said it was pretty good. I had a bite, and it was decent. Neither dish came with rice, which is odd for a Chinese restaurant. We ordered a side of white rice for $2. Not a big deal but usually these dishes come with rice. Do not get the beef pancake roll, vegetable spring rolls, string beans... all very bland. Service was okay. We had to ask for water 3 or 4 times and also needed to ask for extra bowls twice. Parties over 6 are a 20% tip even thought they never checked in and we needed to ask for help multiple times. Better to get take out. I took a couple of my coworkers after work and we were going to go to the other place that has three syllables but I'm glad that I encouraged them to try this. I can't have amila super dumpling without ordering the chocolate dumplings so let's talk about that. The chocolate filling is always super creamy and delicious and liquidy. I can't stand when a chocolate dumpling is Rock Solid in the middle. We got some delicious drinks and it was my first time having a Thai tea from Super dumpling. I had to force myself to take my time with it as I wanted to suck it down so fast. Every dish was amazing and properly cooked even though we got there just a smidge closer to closing time than I would have preferred. Perfectly balanced and perfectly seasoned we also tried the beef scallion pancake which was a hit. Took my Sunday evening order of the pan fried beef buns, orange chicken and yang chow fried noodles to go, and everything held up beautifully, even with the 405 lane closure traffic (meaning it took me extra long to get home) The pan fried beef buns were may favorite. Crispy with the pan fried bottom, soft on the top, with a decent amount of soup in the bun. Got a few good squirts. Throw in the chili crisp and a I give it a 9/10. The orange chicken was my runner up. Not a saucy orange chicken, more of a crispy orange chicken, with a bit of sauce at the bottom for you to dig up if you like. The orange flavor was not very prominent, more of just a crispy chicken dish, but I still very much enjoyed it. 8/10 The noodles were pretty basic. Two shrimp, a few pieces of beef, some chicken buried in the noods. Definitely could have used some more of the premium ingredients. Fulfilled my desire for noodles. 7/10 Staff was great. Everyone was working hard. Complimentary water while I waited at the bar for my food. Restaurant was not super packed on a Sunday at 4:30pm, so I hope they have busier times to keep them around. Will I be back? Yes, definitely for the beef buns. Bonus: great food. Bogus: the soy sauce leaked a little in the baggie? That's all I got at the moment. This place was DELICIOUS! It's on the outside of the mall next to BJ's. My sister and I went for dinner and ordered 2 types of dumplings, the beef noodles and the orange chicken. Genuinely surprised by how tasty the food was! We passed by this restaurant and saw no line in the late afternoon so we decided to eat here on a whim! We weren't expecting the food to be that good! The service started very strong, but once the dinner rush came, the service started lacking. It was difficult to flag down servers, they didn't check on us much, and there were time we were just waiting around waiting for our server to fill our waters or give us the check, etc. I think the restaurant just got busy and there weren't enough servers. We tried a variety of things like orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, and a bunch of dumplings and xiao long baos. And everything was really good, like surprisingly good! It was so good I had a hard time stopping haha For dessert, we got the chocolate xlbs, which were good (but not as good as din tai fungs). The chocolate was a little runnier and sweeter and not as dark? I think if they use a higher quality chocolate, that could help. But still good! I'd totally eat here again! I wish I had gotten my own bowl instead of sharing. The chefs were super nice and split our soup for us In regards to the actual dumplings, it was underwhelming. I preferred the shrimp shu Mai of what I had. The beef fried dumplings came out super fresh and were fun to eat but I felt the it came out much more sweet than savory. Just for everyone to know, this location is attached to the mall so the parking sucks. Fortunately the location is right in front so you can just head inside workout entering the mail & at that point you have all the amenities of the mall of you choose to indulge. Super Dumpling was such a great find. My office is in Culver City, and I remember seeing this place pop up on Yelp before they even had their sign up. A coworker and I tried to find it one day, walked all around the mall, couldn't locate it, and eventually gave up and ate at the food court instead. On my next trip back, though, a friend and I came here after work (and after working out), and I'm so glad we did. The experience was genuinely delightful. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which immediately sets the tone. What really makes this place special is that they offer halal soup dumplings and mapo tofu. I don't personally have strict dietary restrictions, but it's really meaningful to be able to enjoy some of my favorite foods with friends who do. That kind of inclusivity is rare and appreciated. Apparently they use halal meat for their dumplings but I would confirm that prior to going here. Food all came out fast and their lunch prices were all half orders of the standard entrees. I started my meal with their HOT & SOUR SOUP which was a really unique take on this classic - I'd get it again in a heartbeat. Very large dining area with numerous roomy booths and an on-the-alert waitstaff ensured a tidy and timely dining experience. The chicken xiao long bao was okay, my friend let me know that California doesn't really do pork all that much so I knew it wasn't going to have the same depth of flavor but it wasn't bad for being chicken! My absolute favorite thing though was the CHOCOLATE xiao long bao. The chocolate was so beautiful and silky and it had this like nostalgic Easter chocolate taste that I enjoyed a lot.
