So I've been wanting to come to place for some time now and try the orange chicken fries and got it spicy. I was NOT disappointed! Crunchy and flavorful and the spicy mayo on top just added to dish and was soooo gooood. lol. Love how hot and fresh the plate came out to be. The two lady's behind the counter were nice and helpful. China Express in Culver City is one of those places I can't stop thinking about! If there's one thing you order, make it the loaded fries. You can top them with BBQ pork or orange chicken, and they're absolutely incredible. I literally dream about these fries they're that good. The customer service is another reason I keep coming back. Everyone is so warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. They were also incredibly generous with samples, which I loved because it introduced me to a few new favorites I probably wouldn't have tried otherwise. On top of that, the portions are huge, the prices are affordable, and every dish is packed with flavor. You definitely get your money's worth here. We came here for the viral orange chicken and fries. We also ordered a combo B which comes with your choice of chow mein/fried rice/half-and-half. For the entrees, we got barbecue pork and onion chicken. The orange chicken and fries were cooked to order, and they tasted as expected. There was a nice sweet glaze covering the chicken and fries. The fries were crispy and covered with sprinkled cheese, green onion and aioli sauce. The order came piping hot and it was great. It hit the spot for us, and we were pretty excited. Watching the combo B getting made was awesome to see; they don't mess around with the portion size. I came with my wife, but it could have served another adult too. The combo B itself was your typical Chinese fast food. It's not the highest quality or the most healthy but for the quantity and the value, I was pretty satisfied. I think the orange chicken lacked a bit of flavor and wasn't as sweet as I would like, but maybe the spicy mayo overpowered it. It was crispy and texturally great. My order could have used some more green onions. They gave me a sample of their BBQ pork and it was great and juicy, but the fries alone were enough for 2-3 portions for me so I couldn't eat more. Their menu is pretty concentrated but they are really good at what they make. The combo A plate ($9.49) is one item with chow mein and/or rice. Combo B ($11.49) is the same with 2 items & Combo C ($13.95) is 3 items. I got Orange chicken & beef & broccoli and it was really good. Girlfriend got Orange chicken and mushroom chicken and it all was really good. The guy in line bonus said the BBQ pork is really good & Id like to try that next time. Also note that they don't give water cups so either bring your own or plan on buying a bottle of water or a beverage. Private lot in a strip center. It was around 6pm, lots of parking. There was a small line and this place is tiny inside. The line moves quickly. My son had the teriyaki chicken with chow mein. My daughter had to get orange chicken with fries. I did the combo with bbq pork and jalapeño chicken. The portions are massive, the food remained hot, as we ate in the parking lot of the Forum. The orange chicken fries were really good. The sauce and red peppers had a nice kick. I think that was our whole groups favorite dish. Close behind was the bbq pork. Slightly charred exterior but still moist inside. The teriyaki chicken was really good too. Four of us ate and we took home probably half of everything, yes the portions are that big. Saw on instagram the amount of food they give you and it looked fresh and tasty. The portions were good, not as good as instagram video I saw but very good portions. It's in a small plaza parking isn't an issue, they have like 3 tables inside it's very cramped, best to take it to go. For 2 items and chow mein and fried rice was only about $12. They do have a special on juice where you can get 3 for like $12 it's basically buy 2 get one free but I don't recommend. It was just all artificially crap and so sugary. Plus I wasn't to happy I asked for mango they gave me watermelon flavor. So unless you like ultra processed sugary artificial so called juice I wouldn't get it. Now the food, it was just ok, the bbq pork was a bit dry and not as flavorful as I expected and the orange chicken the same, texture was good but lacked flavor.
