Made me nauseous I dashed out. Avoid this place. Hate to leave a bad review since I like quick Chinese food. Spent $9 something plus $1 tip, totaled $11, so you get what you pay for. Had to add tip at the beginning if you pay card. I got steamed rice and some kind of kung pao chicken, it was nasty, tasted old, oily, like its from the bottom of the pan where all the herbs mix up together. But then again everything else looked similar and the chicken I picked looked the least mushy. Note I did get there around dinner time. Served in a foam bowl, 2 thin napkins, plastic fork, on a tray with dirty gunk on the edges. Ambiance was hot, sun was beaming through the shades, and on the food being served, the orange chicken and chow mein were in the sun. Also the only location a little bit away from the sun are the seats behind the trash can. I took a few bites, tried to like it, took another few bites and dashed because it was so nasty - which I've never done before. There is good ample parking though. Not sure why/how this place still runs, pretty sure there are food safety standards not being met. I suggest fix the sun situation from all the windows, clean the trays for those dining in, serve paper plates or something for those dining in, and request tip at the end of a meal. Other Chinese restaurants, pay an extra $6 get a much better dining experience. read more

The hot and sour soup on the other hand, although a tad bit too peppery, was very good, hot and exactly what I was looking for. Will definitely try it again when food is fresh, but not for a while. It's small and cozy inside, so def keep that in mind if wanting to eat there. Definitely seems to have a culture of take-out only. This is a fast Chinese food spot food is not horrible but it's not the best. It is one of the better and cleaner looking Chinese food locations I've been to. The service is fast if you're gonna order from the pre made food there and the portions are huge for a good price. If you're gonna order off the menu i recommend ordering that first it will take a little bit longer to get that out. If I could give this ZERO stars I would! This place cooks mice & rats!! The food here is absolutely revolting. After eating just a small portion of what turned out to be mice-infested, rat tail-filled food, I've been suffering from ongoing stomach issues. I'm beyond disgusted. When I went back to the store to confront them and showed them the rat tail I found in my meal, the employee was visibly shaken--he stuttered and, to my shock, handed me an AOL email address to follow up. How is that even acceptable? I am genuinely appalled and outraged. It's unbelievable that this place is still allowed to operate. The entire establishment is filthy and unsanitary -- it's shocking that health authorities haven't shut them down yet. I've been coming back for the black pepper chicken. It's one of my favorites. The servers are generous, kind and polite! I usually dine in for lunch because it is very convenient! My husband and I were craving some wor wonton soup and after a quick Yelp search, we decided on coming here. I ordered the Wor Wonton soup, and my husband ordered the two item plate with King pao chicken and orange chicken. It also came with chow mein and fried rice. Our food (especially my soup) was still nice and hot by the time we got home. It was less than a 15 minute drive. The Wor Wonton Soup was good. Lots of dumplings and veggies, a couple of shrimp and chicken. Really yummy and lots of broth. It wasn't my favorite that I've ever had but it hit the spot. The king pao was SO good though! I've been going to Chinatown Express for many years. Their wor wonton soup is the second best in the city (China Cafe in Central Market is slightly better) . The soup is packed with shrimp, roast pork, chicken and dumplings. Broth isn't too salty. From time to time I try other items from the hot food display case. Everything seems to be freshly made,probably because they usually are pretty busy and the food turns over quickly. I like the roast barbecued pork, as well as the chicken teriyaki. There are other higher end dishes containing shrimp and beef, which you don't always find for this value. The pricing is reasonable and the owner is a peaceful guy. They also offer a Hawaiian menu, which I haven't sampled as yet. Can't say a lot about the interior, typical strip mall restaurant. They keep everything in the customers view clean. Quick combo plates, large portions, delicious food. My son and I like the black pepper chicken, orange chicken, and kung pow chicken. We agree the black pepper chicken is the best dish. We sometimes order a full order of it (not just a combo portion) and request light sugar (lots of C food has added sugar - you might be surprised) which lets the other flavors come through more, but it's also delicious straight off the "buffet". The people who work there are super-nice. The two main ladies who work the counter know me and my son and they always greet us warmly and if I'm alone they ask about my son.
