New hours which I'm just now seeing! 9/23/24
    Mary B.

Love this place. Haven't been in probably a year. Walked here to find the hours changed. But they have not on Google on Apple Maps on Yelp and so on. Bummer. Just asked Yelp to update so at least it is accurate on Yelp. There was a worker inside relaxing at the table on his phone, it was dark and clearly closed sadly at 4:30. Fortunately I only have to wait 30 mins and today I can do it, but would have sucked if not!

I love their take-out options. It's so Easy to use the website. It accepts apple-pay and the website through Beyond Menu. When I pick-up my food, it's always hot & ready. Very quick service. I have seen the restaurant when it's busy and there are times it's completely empty. I have already order various dishes from them and never had a problem. They open late which is a bonus, because a lot of places in the area close early. Don't expect the fine-dining experience. It's a very small restaurant & parking can be limited because of the bar next door. Staff is very nice & friendly. It's pretty much enjoy the food and come-back again.

    "crispy tofu". So bad

You know those restaurants in the middle of Michigan that are called "Oriental kitchen" and have chinese, korean, and japanese food, but also chicken nuggets. And the local white people eat it up? That's what this feels like, but the west LA version. The good: - The pho soup and noodles were good - The egg rolls were pretty good! The medium: - chicken wings were "standard" per by partner The bad: - service. Looks like it's a common issue but takeout took much longer than they said it would take. Probably took 20 minutes longer than they said it would, even our door dash driver was pissed. - see the photo of the "crispy tofu" salad. Hella over cooked, super hard and stale to chew, the fact that an establishment feels okay serving that level of mess up to someone that paid for that is wild. - The meat in the pho was TOUGH. My bf and I got different types of meat and both of them were really tough, like where you keep chewing forever and it balls up into a dry collection of meat that you can't swallow. Again, the low level of quality control is disheartening. Instead of a kind and homey family owned restaurant it feels like the greed to try to expand to different types of asian food resulted in poor management and delivery of goods. I love finding local small businesses like cafe brazil and plank 47 pizza and Fresh Pita Organic Express, but this isn't it.

This place is a traditional spot. They have amazing food. The service is great they always make sure you get taken care of. The lobby gives off a traditional viet lobby. I love that e need more of this in California . Bring back mom and pop shops this is for sure a hidden gem:

Take out was fast, easy and to the point. The food was hot even after driving all the way home. The salt and pepper chicken was great - probably the best part of this meal. The egg rolls were ok, great crispy crunch but not much for flavor or texture on the inside. They combined two orders into one dish but that was more of an inconvenience trying to portion out. The noodles we ordered had hardly any veggies in them and were heavily, if not over, drenched in sauce. Not too bad but nothing amazing.

This is the 3rd times that I has come back to 5i because I really love this restaurant Pho Vietnamese noodle. I would say it is the best that I can find in Culver City. I order beef Spring Roll for appetizer. I enjoy the texture of the combination of rice paper, noodle, lectures, beef especially dipping with the peanut sauce. It is really amazing. I forgot all of the stress of my day. I ordered spicy beef noodle (number 108) for my main dish and a bowl of beef tripe + tendon. I can tell it is the best Vietnamese beef noodle that I have been eating in LA. I can taste the quality of the beef ingredients is pretty outstanding. It is better than any Vietnamese beef noodle restaurant that I have tried in LA. I am amazed while I saw the beef tendons has been cut into small slice as a sashimi portion which flowing in the really tasty broth. The spicy favor just bring all the ingredients and texture to the next level. Sincerely, I rarely drink a lot of beef noddle broth in mostly Vietnamese restaurants in LA cos I don't feel comfortable about that. However, I surprised that I could eat that much and completely drink all the broth. It ended up with two empty large bowl. I transform my stressful day to a delightful one after the meal. Overall, I can tell the owner put passion, sincerity, love and care to what they do. They pay extra attention to small detail. In addition, when I look at the world, it can emphasize the Vietnamese culture the old days. I would come back again, recommend good friends to come to this restaurant for sure.

Love this place for their lemon grass chicken (chicken com) and beef rice plate and their chicken pho! Great prices and great quality everytime. Just like a home cooked meal. Their hot and sour soup changed though. Now it's watered down, too sweet & not very spicy. Tastes like a lot of corn starch.

It was frustrating, especially as long-time loyal customers. But to their credit, Megan and the team followed up, addressed our concerns sincerely, and handled it with real care. They never asked us to update our review so they genuinely accepted their mistake and now I feel bad lol. That kind of accountability goes a long way. We've always loved the food and service here, and honestly this experience reminded us why we kept coming back in the first place.

As a Latino party of 4, we were treated noticeably differently than the two Caucasian women seated next to us. Our server was friendly, attentive, and checked on them often, while we were ignored, given attitude, and had to flag her down just to order. We ended up getting drinks and appetizers only and left to go somewhere we actually felt welcomed. Didn't catch the server's name she never introduced herself, and I was too upset to check the receipt. The host, however, was much nicer. We even told her wish you were our server on the way out! She said of no was there a problem.... We didn't want to make a big deal and walked away while my father in law did tell her that server had a stick up her you know what... she quickly said yes I know, I'm so Sorry! So we know for a fact it wasn't the first time! Really disappointing experience. Do better, Little Sister.

Pho Show in Culver City is officially on our repeat list…read more We ordered the brisket pho with added vegetables and it was absolutely amazing. The broth was rich, deeply flavorful, and so perfectly balanced that it didn't need a single sauce added. The brisket was incredibly tender. Truly a pleasure to eat. We added carrots, broccoli, and bok choy, and the bok choy was cooked to perfection. The noodle-to-broth ratio was just right. We also ordered the pork egg rolls. There were three in the order and my boyfriend and I literally fought over the last one. That should tell you everything. Crispy, flavorful, perfect. The Arnold Palmers were so good we both refilled. Twice. The ambience satisfies everyone's needs. There's great music playing, the space is lively, open, and beautifully designed, and it's perfect for a first date or a decades long relationship. There's great seating inside with plenty of options, including accessible table seating for guests who need it. The kind of spot you return to again and again because it simply never disappoints. The food is consistently excellent. The pho is deeply comforting, with a broth that tastes like it has been simmering all day the way a proper pho should. Everything tastes fresh, balanced, and made with care. Whether it's a bowl of noodles, grilled meats, or a crisp bánh mì, the flavors always hit that perfect point between bright herbs, savory richness, and clean simplicity. What I appreciate most is the consistency. Years later, it still tastes the same, still feels welcoming, and still delivers that satisfying feeling of knowing exactly where to go when you want something good. To be fair, the broth was flavorful, but for the price point of more than $20 out the door, I felt a bit ripped off. The portion was really small and barely filling at all. There were only about three pieces of meat, no tripe that I could find, and it looked like one tiny meatball cut in half. In comparison to the dozen or more pho places I've visited, this was not "large" by any stretch. The restaurant was in a dingy strip mall and things didn't really look too clean inside either. Stuff looked worn out. The bathroom had a funky smell and was being used for storage. The doors were just dirty. Also the restaurant was empty when I arrived and it took a little bit to get the food. Not sure if the chef was on break and someone that didn't know what they were doing made it. Overall, a fun stop, but I would never go here again.
