This Thai restaurant is hard to get to. Parking lot is completely full. You have to take the narrow stairs to get to the front door. Good news is there's plenty of empty tables to choose from. However, the service is slow. I ordered their shrimp papaya salad for $15.00. I got tired of waiting so I went to the front counter and asked to have my order to go. That's when I realized I got overcharged, seeing my receipt price was $16.00. Oh well.

incredibly quick service! always gets the order precisely accurate. the vegan menu is vast and delicious! cute places to take photos inside, feels cozy.

This was a pretty good Thai place. I had the green curry and it was very delicious. I got their lunch special so it was pretty good deal: comes with a drink, wonton soup, and a meal of your choice based on what they've listed. Service was great, the servers were really nice and accommodating. There wasn't a whole lot of people so the ambience was pretty quiet. I recommend going there.

I was craving soup and ended up here for Mother's Day, it did not disappoint. I got myself seafood soup to share with my hubby. My son wanted pho and they had some. My husband got one of the curry combos and he liked it too. We also ordered beef pad see ew and a sampler appetizer platter. We got too much food and took a lot home to eat the next day. It was our second time here and I'm sure we will be back. The service was fast, location is clean and friendly with plenty of seating and parking in the front and back.

Can simply never get over this place. Every time people visit us from out of town, we bring them here. This is the best, most adorable, and flavorful Thai around. Attentive service and a nice open seating ambiance a calming decor. I have never had a bad bite of food here.

I should've taken a picture of the actual food but forgot, there's plenty of pictures here though of the pad see ew - it was dynamite! Got with beef and the meat so unbelievably soft, like melt in your mouth. I honestly would not expect that from Thai take-out but I was taught today. Loved this dish, hit the spot, good ratio of noodles, to meat, to veggies. Everything tasted fresh, was bright and well cooked. The noodles were perfectly soft and there was egg in there too. The flavors were on point, thoroughly enjoyed this dish. Lasted two rounds which was great, although I eat small portions. I like the lunch combo they offer, it's $3 cheaper and doesn't come with thai tea. The egg roll and soup are a nice addition. I liked the roll and the sweet sauce which truth be told I ended up using on the noodles cause it was a little too spicy for me. I can never comprehend the level of spice in Thai food. I chose a 2/6 and it was still not mild in my books. So a 1/6 or 0 for me I guess. The soup was ok, I'd like 3 out of 5, it was tangy, kind of like tom yum and a bit powdery at the bottom. I didn't care for the large chunks of very crunchy cabbage. Maybe if I ate it the same night it would've been more enjoyable (although the cabbage would've been the same) but perhaps it doesn't reheat as good. Everything else was 5/5 for taste, delivery and presentation. Used GrubHub and it was delivered right on time. Would eat here again, either takeout or dining in.

Have been coming to this for a while now when looking for a go-to Thai spot on the West side~ for now this has been it! Always plenty of seating and the staff is so lovely. Really love coming here for there combo plates that are offered during lunch and dinner! I usually get their pad see ew (and oh boy do they do their spicy right) and it comes with an egg roll, wonton soup, and your choice of beverage. Whenever I'm in need of a cozy Thai food spot- I come here without a doubt! Parking is a bit limited in the lot but I usually find a spot!

Super cute inside and more spacious than you think. It wasn't busy on Friday early evening and we were greeted and seated immediately. It was my first time but my friend has been a few times. She loves the yellow curry and I ordered the teriyaki chicken combo (comes with choice of rice, egg role, wonton soup, and a drink) and under $20! My food come out quick and was delicious, even my left overs were yummy. I'll definitely try something new next time.

I think that treehouse Thai is fantastic for what you get. The ambiance is very much designed to be a take out spot, but the service is always extremely friendly and the food is very quality. One of my favorites from them is their pad thai; they give fantastic portions and it is always tasty. I love having this place so close to me and is always very enjoyable. I would highly recommend!

I love this Thai spot. They have $10 chicken pad thai on Tuesdays as well as a great combo deal every day during certain times. The combo includes an entree, wonton soup, egg roll, and choice of drink. I get the chicken pad Thai and Thai ice tea (you can get coconut milk for an up charge) and the food is tasty. The wonton soup comes out steaming hot and I like the broth. There is a free parking lot and plenty of indoor seating. Credit cards are accepted. I'd recommend coming here when you are craving some Thai food and want a reasonably priced yet filling meal.

What does "off license" mean on yelp for a restaurant?

I think it's that the yelp isn't set up by the restaurant. But I'm not 100% sure

    Did you like the food?

Yes! I've been going here for 10 years. My favorite is the pad Thai, pad see ew, spicy eggplant or the soups! You can't go wrong with those. I'm not a fan of their curries... I don't like how they make them. Hope that helps!

Does anybody know if there are gluten free options/substitutions here? Thank you :)

Glad we got to try it and cross of the list. The décor here is also really interesting with an open kitchen and patio. Also, speaking of open kitchen, there's a 3% charge on the food that's call Kitchen Love. Not sure if that's the standard at restaurants in the area or if it's on the menu but that can definitely rack up with a full dinner with friends. As for parking, there's meters if you're lucky to snag a spot or there's plenty of parking structures in the area.

It was crispy on the outside and the shrimp was slightly on the firm side and slightly savory. Nasi capcay included a lot of fresh vegetables. It had more liquidy sauce than expected . The veggies soaked up the liquids quickly and began to get a little soggy. However the veggies were savory. The dish could use more greens. NOTE: this dish comes with shrimp which was NOT disclosed in the menu. We specifically ordered veggie only. One party member wanted a veggie dish but could not eat it due to shrimp allergies. Let them know to cook without shrimp if you have shrimp allergies The Nasi bunkus was delicious. Traditional Indonesian food would typically have a lot more tumeric and spicyness but this dish felt more streamlined. You can ask for more turmeric and spicyness if you prefer. Also The chicken was flavorful but a bit dry. The Riice was good, flavorful and not greasy. Perkedelle was tender but did not have as much crispyness as other perkedelle that ive had. The potato inside was not as light and fluffy as expected (compared to other perkedelle) and was instead on the slightly dense side. It was still good. The Bakwang jagung, or corn fritters, were both crispy and a bit dense and sticky. It was savory and was not greasy at all. We liked this dish. Es doger was good BUT had tough meat husks in the drink. The coconut flavor and bits were a nice addition to the drink. The casava and condensed milk had the right amount without being overpowering. If not for the husks in the drink, i would recommend it. Es cendol was heavy on the condensed milk and slightly overrpowered the pandan jelly and bits of jackfruit. It was ok. Overall this restaurant is an option for the area if you are looking Indonesian food.

My sugar sugar and I were looking for a place to have lunch with our daughter and saw this out the corner of our eyes. We pass it all the time but never thought to stop. One thing I love is some good Thai food. I'm from Long Beach and we're know for Thai food! So I have high expectations!!! There's certain cultures that absolutely cook with love and Thai food is at the top of that list. The marriage of flavors are unique and divine. BKK101 does just that!! We were greet with warmth and offered to sit anywhere we like. Since our daughter is young they brought us a high chair and a kids cup to keep her occupied (thank you!). I love the look and feel of the place. Small but inviting. We ordered veggie spring rolls, shrimp pineapple fried rice, and yellow curry with tofu. The curry came with a side of white rice too! Spring rolls were delicious with the right amount of crunch but the sauce. The sauce. The sauce. Yummers! Almost licked the plate! Yellow curry with tofu was heavenly. Went early to see if anything opened or if walk-in would be faster, surprisingly they actually had something come available sooner. We opted to sit inside and loved the ambiance. Food - amazing! I read reviews first and watched a couple IG videos so I knew a general idea of what we wanted to order. Glad the server suggested the orange chicken over the walnut shrimp when we were debating it. Chil wontons, absolutely a must get, different from DTF, not crazy spicy but full of flavor and richness. XO fatty noodles, perfect chewiness on the rolled noodles and the flavors were well balanced, we enjoyed them with a little chili paste and the orange chicken as the protein. Orange chicken, soooo much more flavorful than your average Panda Express orange chicken, good sized nuggets of chicken that were crispy and tender at the same time, and the zest livened it up. BBQ pork shank, our server did warn us it's not the easiest to eat, but it's worth it, hard to see cutting it off the bone because it was so dimly lite in the restaurant and your hands will get sticky but once you get chunks off the bone and your bao bun built it's delicious especially when you get the lacquered crispy skin yummm! Only skip for the night was the mango sticky rice. Much rather would've spend $8 on something else. The mango was tart/sour. The sticky rice was too wet and mushy. It was a pass for both of us. Service - our server was awesome. From greeting to end, he was the right amount of attentive and was super helpful with suggestions. Everyone from the food runner to the busser, they were all so nice. From getting us chili paste or to go containers, customer service was on point. That said, I know this place is also known for its cocktails, so it's possible that pairing the food with drinks would make for a better overall experience.
