I ate here for the first time with a few friends. I love Thai food- a Pad See Ew hates to see me coming! The decor and ambiance is very nice here. It is very spacious and pretty chic. The inside has dark colors with cute little centerpieces on the tables. The staff were very attentive and kind to us and double checked our order before finalizing everything. My friends enjoyed their dishes. They ordered the ginger and onion chicken and chicken satay skewers. I ordered the pad see ew with pork. The flavors were great for the satay skewers and my dish. I only had one qualm with my pad see ew and it was the lack of stir-fry sauce; the dish was on the dry side. Usually when eating pad see ew, there is some stir fry sauce that glazes the noodles, meat, and veggies within the dish. If the dish would have had that, it would have been a 5 star experience. The food here is so good! I don't know how the rating isn't higher. We have been coming here for years and it's always consistently great food. I usually get Pad Thai or Massaman Curry which are always fantastic. Tonight I got Massaman Curry ($15.75) with white rice (not included - $3) which is chicken (or pork or tofu), potato, peanut & cherry tomato - and it was wonderful as it has always consistently been. My sweetheart got Pad See You ($16.75) which is flat noodles, choice of chicken, tofu, or pork (she got chicken), broccoli, and egg and this too was consistently fantastic. My two friends, and I chose two dishes to share: we had the Red Curry with Chicken, with brown rice, and the green papaya salad. The green papaya salad was good and just spicy enough. I wish they had had the option to add shrimp on it. The curry was a generous portion in terms of the sauce, but it could've had a little more chicken. Plus, we actually ordered it with chicken and tofu, but there was no tofu in it. The sauce was quite tasty. After a flight across country, we thought we would try this Thai restaurant. It was already 9 PM. As we walked in, everything seemed normal, with a table of about six people and other people at the bar. But, the private party plus the bar soon got incredibly loud as the minutes went on to such a point that we could not hear ourselves speak to each other at all. It was very unpleasant. The wait staff seemed oblivious that we were seriously not enjoying ourselves. There are nothing but hard surfaces in this restaurant. Ended up here one day after work - mainly because I didn't feel like driving and if I drove, driving even more looking for parking. First world problems ... Anyway, it's walking distance from home. But had I drove, I could have parked across the street in the Bristol Farms lot or on the residential side streets. There's also a lot at the far end of this strip of businesses. I'd say park on Lincoln but for safety, I'm recommending not to. So, dropped in and it's quiet. Couple parties seated in the dining area and one couple at the bar. Made for great service. Friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the food. Ordered a sample plate so I could have a little bit of everything. Then the Red Devil Noodle dish. For the most part, even though not spicy - I enjoyed the flavors. I asked for extra hot and either that was missed or the chefs/cooks tame it down for their clientele. It was remedied when the server brought over the array of spicy flakes & sauces. A few bites of the noodles were chalky. To be clear, just a few bites. Otherwise, I cleared that dish stopping shy of licking the bottom of the bowl. Same for the coconut ice cream. It's not dairy free btw which isn't a big deal as I love it both way. Street parking. Easy to find a parking spot. Restaurant is very modern decor with bar. We ordered the chicken skewers which came with 4 chicken skewers and a peanut sauce and a spicy sauce. We ordered spring rolls which were small and tasty. Our party of 6 had pad Thai which is what we try at every Thai restaurant to see how good the Thai food is. Yes, it passed. It was delicious with pork and tofu. Our waitress took our whole order without writing it down and we were all served the correct food! The Alaskan salmon was a bit over done. Been here so many times and I can't believe I never reviewed it!!! This is my mentor's favorite restaurant and we celebrated many birthdays and milestones here so it will always have a special place in my life and heart. First of all, the restaurant is really pretty and welcoming and they do have a small bar and always have a game on with one or two locals hanging out talking to staff, super friendly vibes. The staff are all very knowledgeable and kind (they also don't write things down and somehow never forget all of my substitutions, impressive!). I usually ask them for recommendations and they are spot on. We tried calamari today and it came with a generous portion (pic snapped when almost finished, heh heh) and the taste was fantastic! This place is a sorry excuse for a Thai restaurant. I have been coming for almost 2 yrs. But very minimally, very limited. Nothing to really write home about. But I have spent good money here. Though the waitresses have a snotty attitude and careless demeanor, I'm here for the food, not their attitude. But then I began to notice , their prices are really high. Then I noticed the bar is very small, limited seating, and always frequented by the same Trash Can frequent flyers. But again, I'm here for the food, not the bar trash. So I placed an order for curry duck . While it was being prepared, I had two Thai ice tea drinks and waited. I asked the girl how much duck is in the order and she replied she didn't know. . Then her snotty co worker barks, it's 6 ounces. Ok, how much is that ? It's six ounces. They charge my card $72.00, gave me the order with a dirty look, and so I left. I get all the way home, some 25 miles away, and to my surprise, there is hardly any duck in here. Lots of pineapplechunks, masking for the duck in the curry, but hardly any duck. So I call the bank and submit a claim. The bank charges them back. So to be fair, I go back to ask them to fix it and I would cancel the claim. So I go back and speak to the girl. She goes and gets the manager, or owner, or whatever. She then comes out with a play stupid attitude. I could tell she didn't care. I explain what the problem is. She tries to insist that it's 6 ounces. I explain there was no duck. Plenty of pineapple, but shreds of duck. I then ask, are you going to fix the order or not ? She says NO and the order was 3 days ago. Why you didn't say anything then, she asks. I then tell her ok, I will never come in here again, the claim stays, and I will leave a bad review on the internet. I could care less about the money, the food, the trash at the bar, or the half naked swank serving the food. What I care about is the service and the experience. Almost all places will always fix the order. They will not argue, nor risk losing business in today's internet world where reviews matter. This is by far the best Thai food I've had in a very long time. Very underrated. Their pineapple shrimp curry and pad Thai is the best I've had. This place is a gem. The service is great and the place is modern and welcoming. My only complaint would be that they need to turn their AC on and make it a bit colder in there on these hot days. read more

The first time, I happen to be in the area with the friend, and we decided to dine in. there is a small parking space in the back, so make sure you go around and drive slow. The area inside nice. You can have friends with you. Chill or enjoy happy hour at the bar area it is located by the front door. We entered from the back, which Is wear the restrooms are and found an open seat with ease. I ordered the seafood noodle dish and my company order the tom kha soup. I always order sake. Love it! Seafood noodle dish was mostly calamari which was not so tasty. I could barely identify the other proteins. I didnt have the soup the first time bur the second time was good. Second visit, I ordered sake, rice dish (not pictured) and shrimp and pork dumpling. Extremely Disappointed - Not as Described and Not Worth the Price I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was too frustrating to ignore. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass expecting a high-quality dish, especially at $36. What I received was not what was described--there was no ginger sauce as listed, and instead the fish was floating in a bland, unappetizing broth. The flavor was completely off, lacking any balance or depth. It tasted nothing like what you'd expect from a premium dish. For that price, I expect excellence--or at the very least, accuracy. The Pad See Ew is normally really delicious and today while the quality of the ingredients was there, there was absolutely no flavor other than an overwhelming taste of pepper. This past Friday I had the pleasure of dining at Thai Talay with a friend for lunch. We were the only table at the time accompanied by a gentleman at the bar. My friend ordered a martini with mint it was so refreshing. I had the Thai iced coffee which is always a treat for me. I loved how our tofu appetizer was plated like the game Jenga! The sauce that accompanied it had a nice sweet flavor. We shared the Pad Thai with chicken and the roasted curry duck. Both were good but the duck was exceptional be sure to add spice. We were able to find parking spots at the small rear parking lot. There was no line to get in or get seated. Our server very promptly gave us menus and water. It didn't take long before our food was delivered. There is a very good selection of different dishes that would allow a group to find what they need or want. We were there for lunch, a group 7, and ordered a few dishes. One of which was the cheapest fish entree, the Crispy Filet of Sole. The offering was a disappointment. It was not crispy, tasted more like Tilapia, and was chewy. The vegetables and sauce had mild flavor, but lacked in taste and texture. Other dishes were chicken fried rice and red devil noodles with tofu. Both were mediocre. Chicken satay was nothing to write home about. Good Thai takeout Is it just me, or does everyone only get Thai food for delivered or takeout? I rarely go and sit down in a Thai restaurant. This place is on Lincoln Boulevard, on the way to LAX, in a nice little outdoor strip of restaurants. From the outside looking in (because I picked up for takeout) it look like a fun atmosphere that actually had some TVs at the bar and gave a dive-y sports bar kind of vibe.  I'm sure there are pictures of the indoor, so don't hold me to that. Food 4/5 My wife and I went with our staples. Chicken pad Thai, and a curry.  The chicken pad Thai was solid. The noodles didn't have as much flavor as I like, but the chicken tasted great. I also give it high marks on travel ability. The curry however, was great. It was super flavorful and creamy and tasted amazing over white rice. When I first moved to LA back in 2013. I found this place and it was my favorite place to eat and I ate the same thing every time I went, which was at least once a week.
