    76. Chicken Chow Fun 27. Mu Shu Pork with 4 Pancakes 10A. 6 Piece Crab Rangoons

I knew judging by the general vibe that this place would either slap or be incredibly mediocre and I was so glad it ended up being really yummy! I got the chicken chow fun, crab rangoons and mu shu pork and it was all solid, exactly what I wanted it to be. I'll definitely be back when I'm craving some comfort food. The people who run the place seem nice as well! Oh and here's updated pictures of the menu cuz I am a philanthropist.

My husband and I used to go a really simple original Chinese restaurant with a friend. It was few tables, disposable plates and silverware. But, the food was super tasty. It is closed now. Now, we found another restaurant, this place that brought the same feeling and great taste of food by an authentic Chinese family restaurant. If you don't like disposable plates, no worries, pick up the food and eat home. But, try! The tofu was incredible good and the noodles so good! Good price!

Good Food made fresh and served Hot! Service was good too overlooked little spot. Kinda sucks that you can only choose 1 item with chow mein and rice but they do give you a lot of food. The restaurant itself is like almost every other Chinese food spot in LA it was clean and the vibe was chill with friendly staff.

A lot of leftover food good amount of food served

First time eating at chef Minh's kitchen very good service priced good for the amount of quantity and quality that you get. Tried several dishes. None of them were disappointing. I love that they cook it fresh for you and it's not sitting there.

Crab Ragoons & Sweet and Sour Sauce

I ordered Chefs Ming so this review is a little different. But the food was prepared fresh and was delivered on time. Everything was still hot when it got to us and looked phenomenal. The service was great in that regards. The crab ragoons where really the perfect crispy texture on the outside till you get to the middle where its nice and soft. The tasted phenomenonal. The spicy orange can always be hit or miss simply because it may not be spicy enough but it was good sweet savory missing a bit of spice for my personal taste but more than satisfactory. The Honey walnut shrimp was good this had that savory ness that most honey walnut shrimp is missing. This was really well done l. Overall a very good experience 4/5

I got there with my mother and was greeted by a very lovely gentleman named Clark. He told us we could sit wherever so we seated ourselves in the outside area. He came over right away with the menus and asked if we had been there before to which we responded had not. He went over the menu with us and answered any questions we had regarding the menu. He was very sociable and friendly. We chatted with him and put in an order for the Kiwi Chowder. I ordered a Modelo and my mother ordered a glass of orange blend wine. He came over with the drinks a while later and the Kiwi chowder and have us plenty of time to sit and enjoy the dish before we ordered our main courses. The kiwi chowder was delicious and came with little crackers. The clams and mussels were so tasty and the Ora King Salmon was a nice treat. After a while he came back and served me the Fisherman's Mixed Basket and my mother got the Fish tacos with fish of the day for them being Sword Fish. The fisherman's basket was amazing and paired perfectly with my beer. I had never had clams, mussels, snapper, and oysters all together and they were so good I wish I could have them more frequently. The place was very cute and sat quietly with good music playing. Not current music but music that really fit the place and set the vibe. I will be coming back here and if you ever go, there is no bad choice for the fish, the service is stupendous and I haven't gotten anything like it in forever, and if you meet Clark enjoy a friendly conversation with him.

When prompted to tip 20%, I felt conflicted. I normally tip 20% across the board for dine in, but at this point no one had spoken to me, helped me with the menu, or dropped off water & cutlery. I settled on 10% which I normally do for counter service or take out. I hope the servers are being paid a decent wage, but based on the way they seemed upset that we were there, I doubt it. Each dish was announced as it was placed it on the end of the table with a thunk. The food itself was fine, but I have had better seafood for less money elsewhere.

Whether you are looking for high end crab, lobster, or dry scallops to an affordable cod or trout filets, they have it in stock. This review is mainly for the cafe which uses the fresh fish and seafood from the market but adds no flavor, flair, or seasoning. The 1st disappointment was the clam chowder which was a rich bowl of cream and clams without any seasoning. The oysters were fresh and delicious but there was creativity added with a mostly vinegar mignonnette. The calamari were mostly rings that were heavily breaded and unseasoned served with a side of bottled cocktail sauce and mayo. Perhaps the most disappointing of all was the crab Louie with a nice amount of real crab, but no amount of creativity ,textures, flair or flavor. Will definitely go back for the market but not to the cafe.

My partner actually suggested we go one day, so we decided to finally give it a try. When we walked in it wasn't crowded at all, just a couple sitting inside, and we noticed some people out on the patio. I asked if we could sit outside, but the employee said it was dirty and would need to be cleaned, so we stayed inside. There were two young guys working/Serving. As more people started coming in, it seemed like they got a little backed up and rushed. One of them dropped off complimentary chips and a green salsa, but he never came back with our waters or to actually take our order. He kept walking past our table several times until we finally asked him if we could order. He recommended the marlin tacos, saying they were more flavorful than the regular fish tacos, so we ordered those along with aguachiles (one of my favorite dishes) and a shrimp dish cooked in a red sauce. The complimentary chips were freshly fried and good. The green salsa, however, was extremely spicy. I normally enjoy spicy food, but this one was a little too intense for me to really enjoy. I ordered a pico de gallo, which tasted fresh but needed a little salt. The food took a while to come out. The marlin tacos arrived first and honestly they were the highlight of the meal. The flavor was really good and I enjoyed those the most. Then the aguachiles came out, and that's where things kind of turned for me. The shrimp still had the full heads on them, which personally grosses me out. The second shrimp dish in the red sauce also came with the heads on and served on a hot plate with rice. I removed the heads and tried a few bites, the sauce was okay, but not for me to continue eating. Between the wait time and service I was over it. At that point I mostly just finished the tacos. One thing I did enjoy was the cucumber-lemon agua fresca, which was refreshing and really good. Service unfortunately never improved. No one came back to check on us during the meal. When we were ready for the bill we had to flag someone down, and even then we waited quite a while. Eventually I noticed another customer waiting too, so we both just walked up to the cashier and paid at the counter. Overall, the food was okay, but the service and wait time made the experience worse. If the service had been better, I might have been open to coming back to try the ceviche or shrimp tacos. Unfortunately, based on this visit, it's not a place I would return to.

I stopped by with a group of friends over the weekend while visiting Santa Monica, and it couldn't have been a more ideal lunch spot before a relaxing beach stroll. I ordered the lobster tacos and clam chowder, and both were unforgettable. The tacos were incredibly light and fresh, topped with a bold red sauce that delivered a delicious burst of flavor. The clam chowder was equally impressive, rich and creamy, and truly to die for. Our group also shared the tots and fries, which came out golden and extra crispy. To drink, I had the Mexican Mule. It was refreshing, flavorful, and nicely strong. My friends ordered the Connecticut lobster roll and the lobster grilled cheese, and they couldn't stop raving about them. Above all, the customer service was top notch. The team's attention to detail, friendliness, and attentiveness made us feel genuinely welcomed. It added such a warm and memorable touch to our visit. If they just used the same lobster from the rolls in the tacos, they would have a winner. Although I wasn't ready to drink at noon on a Tuesday, the atmosphere felt great for day drinking.
