Great way to end our Route 66 journey. I had the Connecticut Lobster Roll and fries. My sidekick had the Fish & Chips. Restaurant staff was friendly and helpful. The place was super clean, inside and out. Great views from our table out on the patio. Little pricey but worth it as we celebrated reaching the end of the bucket list drive of a lifetime.

Disclaimer: not pictured was the clam chowder and WOW...10/10. In my opinion, the perfect creaminess and I was impressed with the amount of toppings. We also tried the Mexican shrimp cocktail. This perhaps was the biggest surprise! I'd say the closest comparison is a ceviche-esque dish with shrimp, avocado, bathed in a delicious and refreshing salsa. The fish and chips were solid, I'd say a 7/10. They were good, but lacked a little flavor, even with the tartar sauce. We also ordered the mussels and fries! The mussels were drenched in a white wine sauce and they were delicious!! We're locals in SAMO so The Albright has absolutely been added to our list of local favorites. Although they do cater mostly to tourists, don't let the location stop you from trying some truly delicious food...with an awesome view!

First time trying The Albright. This restaurant is self-order at the counter, and you can choose to sit inside or outside. We ordered a lobster roll with a side of Caesar salad, two cups of clam chowder, and fish and chips. The clam chowder wasn't the best I've had--it was okay but didn't have much flavor. The rest of the food was pretty average, nothing mind-blowing. One thing to keep in mind: this place charges a 6% surcharge. We honestly didn't know what it was for and only noticed it at the end when we checked the receipt. Customer service, however, was excellent--solid 5/5.

Great find on the Santa Monica Pier. Dog and family friendly. Service was so nice. Food was delicious! Very laid back beachy place. Lots of space for large groups.

Raw Oysters, Calamari, and Lobster Roll- Connecticut Style

The food was delicious. We ordered the calamari, connecticut lobster roll, and the half dozen raw oysters. The calamari dipping sauce was a bit spicy but we like the little kick. We enjoyed sitting on the outside dining area with the breeze. To order you order at the stand and they gave us a buzzer when the food is ready and we have to pick it up at the window so service was minimal but I'm okay with that. They even offer military discount which was really generous of them to have.

2.5. We should have known better than be lured into a tourist restaurant, but the Yelp and Google reviews were good. This place is right on the Santa Monica Pier. Your order at a counter and get a buzzer to let you know your food is done. We decided to sit at picnic tables on the pier to enjoy the sunset. The table was so greasy/sticky. Three out of the four of us ordered fish and chips, one ordered the combo platter. All four also came with a side of coleslaw. The coleslaw was actually decent. Now to the rest of the food. The fries were nothing special. They were thin cut fries with old bay seasoning on them. I didn't enjoy them but the rest thought they were the best part. The fish in the fish and chips was heavily breaded and the folks in my group felt it was very very fishy. I k is a weird thing to say that the fish was fishy, but I hope you can understand that not all fishy has an extremely fishy taste. This did. The tartar sauce was bland. The combo had fish fingers and four shrimp. The shrimp were heavily breaded. The two fish fingers were much better quality than the other fish. One of our group got so grossed out by the fish that they ordered a second meal of chicken fingers just so they didn't go hungry. My wife said give it a 2 or at best a 3. It was a tourist trap unfortunately.

A perfect spot to grab some lunch on a sunny day in Santa Monica Pier. The ocean view was so claiming and pretty. Love the freshness of oysters. The service is really quick and not much of waiting time. Definitely would recommend if you are visit the area.

The place is pretty clean with the patio seating area. The service was super fast too. The dishes were very good, fresh and tasty. My teenage kids actually cleaned the plates so no left overs.

Love coming here every time we come to Santa Monica pier! It is situated near the beginning of the pier, so you do not have to walk far to get quality food for a great price! They have regular seafood options, along with options for those who are vegan. They also were able to sub Cole slaw for my mom with corn so we could not complain! Their service is also some of my favorite in Santa Monica, with the sweetest servers! The views of course are great - you can see the pier, people watch and still see the water right after the meal. Def one of my favorite seafood markets!

The convenience, efficiency, ambiance and friendly service at this restaurant makes it a place I'd want to visit again and again! You order first, then find a seat for your party. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate small and large parties. The food was great. Nothing out of this world, but it was good and the price wasn't too bad for such a touristy area. I got the combo plate and the fish and shrimp were perfect! My husband got the lobster roll which was also good. The clam chowder was the best item we got. I couldn't try the oysters but my husband enjoyed them. They have staff that will bus your plates and clean the tables once you're done. The back patio opens right up to the pier and pacific park. It was a great sunny day to spend with family! Another bonus is that they have restrooms for restaurant patrons. Would definitely dine here again!

My dish was beautifully presented and delicious. Would definitely recommend. My son order the tuna melt and it looked good as well. Can't beat the location - Santa Monica Pier on a sunny December day.

You come here for the location and view, the food is mediocre. Service was friendly, and the food was ready quickly, but lukewarm and poor quality. You're definitely paying for it sitting on the pier with beautiful ocean views.

Kyna S.

Came to try their famous clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl, and it did not disappoint! The chowder was creamy, rich, and full of flavor, exactly what you'd want while hanging out by the pier. Entrees: * Clam Chowder in Sourdough Bread Bowl - Warm, hearty, and packed with clams and potatoes. Easily one of the best I've had. * Lobster Roll - They have both New England (cold) and Connecticut (warm) styles. I went with the warm one, buttery, tender, and full of flavor. Simple but so satisfying. Service was quick and friendly. Parking can be a little challenging around the pier. we ended up finding a spot at a nearby school that charged $35 for the whole day. Overall, Great spot to relax, enjoy some seafood!

Don't make my almost mistake. First win: there's actually a solid sized parking lot. That alone deserves a shoutout. The food selection was way better than expected for a brewery. Not just the usual giant pretzels and mediocre bar food, they've got real options. Everything came out fast, hot, and really good. The pizza surprised me (in a good way), and the lemon pepper chicken hit exactly how it should without being overly greasy. Plenty of good beer choices, the service was great and the outdoor seating at sunset is a whole vibe. Also dog friendly, which made it even better, lots of cute pups around. And a random but fun touch: there's a vending machine with games and even a photo booth. Brewery done right.

They'd been here before and let us know that things fill up fast mostly on these hot weather days in SoCal but there was still a good amount of seating. I would say by 3 pm it was pretty packed. Small parking lot, we got lucky with exiting parties. Food was better than expected ! Pizza was great, we had the Hawaiian, margarita, and spicy pepperoni with hot honey. Can't complain, all with a thick crust, fav was Hawaiian bc of the sweet tangy pineapple. Wings are bonus, I liked lemon pepper more than the saucy ones. Brews had a nice selection - they had fun flavors like pistachio, cucumber and guava. We did flights and overall, enjoyed it. Would come back!

It's located in the old Clock Tower building, and the Art Deco decor is absolutely stunning--dark enough to hide a bad day but vibrant enough for a girls' night. The Vibe: It's loud, lively, and perfectly "bohemian chic". If you're coming on a weekend, prepare for a crowd, but it's the good kind of crowded where everyone looks like they just came from a gallery opening. The Food: I'm still thinking about the Crispy Chicken Sandwich--it was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and came with a fennel-apple slaw that actually felt fresh. We also shared the Bacon Wrapped Dates (obviously) and the Hand Cut Kennebec Fries, which arrive in a bowl so huge it could basically be its own zip code. The Drinks: Their Happy Hour is arguably the best in the city. I had the Japanese Dream with matcha, and it was expertly crafted--not too sweet, which is my biggest pet peeve. The "Misfit" Moment: The service can be a tiny bit slow when it's "rammed," and there's a 4% kitchen fee that feels a bit unnecessary, but they make up for it with those complimentary sea salt chocolate chip cookies at the end. They are warm, gooey, and life-changing. One major heads-up: I heard a rumor they might be closing their doors on April 18th due to some landlord drama, so get there while you still can.
