A few weeks ago, we saw Pacific Catch was opening and knew how great the food is from the Tustin location. This was a Saturday visit, and as mentioned in another review, "this spot is underloved!" Here are my first impressions of Pacific Catch - Santa Monica: 1/Casual and cozy with a bar & patio - nice setup; 2/Impeccable service, as we sat in a booth near the bar and the bartender is quite knowledgeable; 3/Fresh ingredients and wonderful seafood. I had the 3 Taco Lunch - Pacific Catch is flexible allowing you to mix and match: I chose a 3 taco plate with Fish/Shrimp/Steak on corn tortillas, side of black beans, and a salad. Everything was tasty and service was great. Their menu has many other options and pricing will not break the bank. Great proximity to the Santa Monica Pier and Beach! I look forward to going back soon! read more

Pacific Catch is a total gem in Santa Monica that I honestly feel is underloved. We have been here a couple times now, and every single visit delivers high quality food, great service, and a solid dining experience. It might not be the hippest spot in town, but it does not need to be. It is exceptionally clean, consistent, and always hits the spot. For a seafood restaurant in Santa Monica, the pricing is remarkably reasonable for the quality you get. My family of four went last night for dinner and everything was fantastic. My wife got the sea bass, which was very fresh and cooked perfectly, and I had the salmon sandwich, which was excellent. Both of our kids loved their kids meals too. It is hard to find reliable seafood spots that are family friendly without breaking the bank, but Pacific Catch nails it every time. I wanted to give them a well deserved shout out. We will definitely keep coming back. read more

What a fun hangout/happy hour place! It reminds me kind of Tommy Bahama vibes! Staff were very friendly here! Service was excellent! We got here for happy hour and prices were great. We got the shrimp ceviche and fries. Pretty good for happy hour pricing. They had other options too but we weren't starving. Beer was reasonable price and good per husband. I got the POD nonalcoholic juice drink which was refreshing! Ambiance is casual. Plenty of seating! read more

Pacific Catch is a solid spot by the beach with a fun, chill vibe and a great happy (aloha) hour (and a bonus on Mai tais if you wear an Hawaiian shirt on Fridays). The pupu platter comes with a bunch of food that makes for a great share. Nicely battered shrimp. Poke guard is nice. And the ribs have a good wet sauce that is just about fall off the bone. Service is very nice all around from host to waitstaff. Worth a go, especially during happy hour! read more

My family has been coming to Pacific Catch since they opened. The food is consistently great, with a wide selection of shareable plates. Our favorites include the sticky ribs, shrimp tempura rolls, fish & chips, seafood bowls and the tacos. (But management should consider providing more salsa options with the tacos!) A recent special of sautéed scallops was excellent -- and if you save room for dessert, it will not disappoint. The ambiance is nice and you can actually hear the people across your table. They also have a loyalty program and the points add up fast, providing you with a free app or entree after only a few visits! read more

First time I honored my free birthday bowl online. It was easy! I filled out the online order, got a text message to say it was ready to be picked up, picked up my order of a West Coast Salmon bowl at a side entrance to the restaurant. A gentleman saw me, asked me if I was here to pick up my order, asked for my name and handed me my bowl in a bag. The process was great! The salmon was a tad dry and overcooked. I'll have to try something else next time. I appreciate their free birthday bowl, but hope they can not overcook the salmon. read more

Pacific catch is a chain restaurant, and I was drawn in by their happy hour offered on weekdays until 6pm. Service was okay, but both of our cocktails came out after our food which showed they forgot about them. The drinks weren't too memorable. The food itself was all fresh and tasted good. I got the fish tacos with a side of Brussel sprouts. The sprouts were a bit sweet, but to my liking. The avocado and tuna appetizer was definitely a shareable portion and a great deal. I would definitely come back for a reliable and more affordable option in Santa Monica. This restaurant is also on the inKind app, so I was able to refer my friend and use my credit to get $25 off our meal, and in return received another $25 which we spent on ice cream after dinner :) Referral link: https://app.inkind.com/refer/EGPDI2JT read more

I had high hopes but everything was just kind of sub-par food. While it all looked nice, there was just not a lot of flavor. I've had poke fish straight from the sea with no sauce that had more taste. Also, oddly enough the Sriracha sauce even lacked any flavor, I had to ask my bf to try it because I thought maybe I was being picky, and he agreed. The best bite I had was of his "wagyu" burger. Burger does not come with fries, so had to get that separate. Mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes, Brussels were charred nicely but again very little flavor. Staff was okay. Mostly this felt like an Applebees trying to be Hawaiian in California. I would not come back. read more

I run past this spot every Monday with my Midnight Runners group, and the semi-outdoor patio has always caught my eye. I've been meaning to try it out, so I was excited when my coworkers suggested it as a happy hour spot after an early day off from work recently. It lived up to the vibe. Drinks were solid--my margarita hit the spot and leaned nicely tropical. Happy hour prices are good, but fair warning: some of the portions are on the smaller side (like the chips and salsa, which is more like pico de gallo.) Still, the atmosphere alone makes it worth it. It's got a super fun, laid-back vibe which makes it a great place to unwind. And if you wait a bit after Aloha Hour you can take a little walk to watch the sun set over the ocean. I'll definitely be back, if only for that patio. read more

Came here with the fam after family photos and it was one of the few places still open around 9 on a weeknight AND the allowed our little fur baby. We had the whole patio to ourselves. It had been raining so it was sorta chilly and wet outside but the patio is covered and it had a fireplace as well as heaters so it worked out. I even got so hot at some point I had to take off my jacket. They have a doggie menu and they bring out a bowl of water just for your fur baby. She even got some pets. Service was great. Even though we were like the only ones left in the restaurant, I never felt rushed or like some places that rudely try to push you out. Our waitress was super friendly and nice. Food came out relatively quick. The appetizers were better than the main course but the dessert was good too. Ceviche was a winner and so good we didn't take a pic cause we were hungry. The lobster roll was good too. The miso cod was ok but the rice was dry and the green beans weren't great. The salmon with chimichurri sauce was overcooked and the kimchi fried rice which I didn't have but my son did said it lacked flavor. The chocolate lava cake with vanilla gelato was delish but didn't really lava. If we lived closer, it would be a nice place to come for drinks, apps and maybe dessert. read more

Fresh and high-quality food with excellent service! We ordered the guacamole with chips and the Salmon Firecracker Roll, and we also got the Mixed Catch (but I forgot to take a picture). The guacamole and chips were great--the guacamole was super tasty and refreshing. The Salmon Firecracker Roll was also very good, but a bit too salty for my taste. The Mixed Catch was surprisingly impressive. I usually don't like seafood in batter, but the batter here was really good. The calamari was juicy, fresh, and had a nice breading. The coconut shrimp were also good, though I didn't love the breading. The Alaskan cod was really juicy but needed a bit more seasoning. The sauces that came with the dish were amazing, and the chili French fries were delicious. The service was excellent, and they even have a dog menu, which is awesome. The ambiance is cozy and nice, although it can feel a little empty. Solid place! read more

Lovely restaurant! Brought 2 coworkers here for dinner and it was great. We sat outside which really seems more like inside. The top is uncovered, but there were heaters and glass sort of blocking us in. I really liked the atmosphere! First, our service was absolutely wonderful! Some of our party could be a bit much and he was great when there was lots of talking. The food was really good as well! I was debating between a couple of things and went with the platter that was fish, coconut shrimp, and calamari. Lots of food and big shrimp! One of our party had the lobster and they loved it. If I lived here I would be coming often as the prices were incredibly reasonable as well. Overall a really great time and great food. Try this place if you. haven't, they even have happy hour deals! read more

I just spent $150 for one of the worst meals I had this year dining out. The only bright spot was the coconut shrimp. The lobster was over cooked and my wife could not chew it. I ordered the KBBW plate. If I want overcooked, overly sweet and over sauced food I could have staid home. The kimchi fried rice was soggy, not well fried at all. Experiences like this is why I tend to focus on mom & pop restaurants over chains. Hopefully this was just a bad day for them but this place is definitely not worth the expense. read more

A friend and I went to PC on a Thursday night for happy hour after shopping on the Promenade. Let me just say that Samantha the bartender/host is exactly the person you want greeting you for a chill happy hour. She is super friendly, accommodating, patient.. all of the things. She Recommended drinks and made sure to come correct on the alcohol level. I generally believe that restaurants and bars have secretly stopped serving actual alcohol in their drinks but not at PC. The restaurant was pretty quiet when we arrived but really picked up once we were leaving about 7. My only complaint and thus the loss of a star is that PC does serve smaller portions for Happy Hour. This really is not the point of happy hour. We come for a deal, and paying less for Waaay less is not that. read more

Pacific Catch offers a phenomenal happy hour just steps from the beach which is exactly why I dined here in late July with a couple of friends. It's easy to find, laid-back, and makes for a perfect spot to unwind after a long day - or week, like I did. The seafood is undeniably fresh, so if you're craving fish, poke, or tacos in Santa Monica, I would recommend Pacific Catch! On my visit I started with the Guaca-Poke which was exactly what it sounds like - guacamole with fresh tuna poke. The tuna was so fresh and so flavorful and oooh the creamy guac was great, too! To drink, I ordered the "Feel No Pain" that was basically a virgin pina colada (yum) and super refreshing, balanced, and thoughtfully crafted (not too sweet!). I also got the Spicy Tuna Roll and, thinking I wasn't quite full, I made what turned out to be a mistake ordering the Crispy Baja Cod Taco - not because it wasn't delicious (it absolutely was) - but because I underestimated the portion! Even during happy hour, the serving sizes are no joke! It wasn't long before I was STUFFED! Really my only complaint about Pacific Catch during my happy hour visit in late July was the service. Our server was Dylan P. and while he wasn't terrible, he was very slow and inattentive, especially because happy hour only goes until a certain time and I needed our server to actually check in on us to see if we wanted to order anything else (which I did...!). Even so, the fresh seafood, fun atmosphere, and excellent happy hour made up for the lackluster service. All in all, Pacific Catch is a great place to grab fresh seafood and drinks in Santa Monica. Just come hungry, pace yourself, and take advantage of their happy hour!!! I'll definitely be back - I hope sooner rather than later! read more

Wow.....Just wow...... Pacific Catch exceeded my expectations! The fish was incredibly fresh, and you could really taste the quality in every bite. I ordered the Salmon Bowl and the Miso Cod, and both were absolutely delicious. The salmon was perfectly prepared, and the miso cod was tender, flavorful, and melted in my mouth. To top it all off, our server was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. Great food, excellent service, and a restaurant I'll definitely be coming back to. Highly recommend! read more

I wanna lean toward a 3.5 I can't and maybe a 4 is a little too good. First of The restaurant is really cute and the little patio areas were nice as well. I was just a little disappointed in the food. We came during the aloha hour and I got the salmon chowder and the taco platter. Idk if they just waited to run the food a bit bc of my friends coconut shrimp or what but it wasn't hot, wasn't cold either but like even the tacos seemed a little soggy or maybe the tortilla wasn't thoroughly cooked bc it just kinda fell apart. The fries weren't hot either. The crispy cod was tasty but the mahi mahi I had was a bit oily. The salmon chowder had a nice flavor but it was a bit watery and not really creamy. I don't know that I'd go out of my way to come here again. The service was pretty good and my margarita was tasty though . read more

I work right next door to this Pacific Catch and order a lot. Last Tuesday, I ordered online, but when I got there they told me my order was given to the "right" person, a grub hub driver under my name. I'm pretty sure if I had asked for that order it would not be found. The manager made it sound like well I gave the order to the right person. The manager got my information and said she would email me confirming the funds being returned. That did not happen. When I went online the next day it showed that my order was "cancelled." Like it had been cancelled by me. Five days later I had to open up a claim with my bank to get my money back. read more

It was delicious I'm still thinking about it now! My mom had a Nina colada mocktail and said it was very delicious too! When we ordered our food it was delicious I'm not even sure what to recommend because they have everything! But I loved the lobster roll and red curry which is also on their feel good 5 menu for dine in only! We had a blast and I hope everyone gives this place a chance! My friend and I came for happy hour on Saturday. I have to say it is hard to find places with good happy hour price nowadays but Pacific Catch's happy hour menu was better than we expected. We ordered a few drinks off the happy hour menu, they were decent, not great but not bad. Also shared a ahi tuna ceviche, the size was good for $10. We sat in the patio so it's a bit of indoor outdoor situation which was nice for a warm day. The service was a bit slow but nothing to complain. We will definitely come back and try more of their menu! read more

Wednesday around 2:30pm...Food is decent but not the best. Also a bit overpriced. Lunch runs about $30-40/pp. For 3 of us $127.00. Maybe it was the time? The hostess girl with long light brown hair wasn't as friendly as she should be for a hostess. Our waitress was nice but abandoned us towards the end. She went on a break, returned and started engaging with another staff member and I had to flag her another staff member to get her attention. With this I tipped 20% and the computer tablet she left us said she would bring a receipt but she never did so we just left. read more

To the couples and adults who are looking for a night out on a date or just to hang out quietly for dinner - THIS IS NOT THE PLACE! I'm all for having children at a restaurant as long as they can behave and sit at the table. It doesn't even have to be quiet most of the time, kids make noise, I get it. But this place was like the Olive Garden of seafood with screaming babies and children wandering through the aisles with entitled parents walking behind them, "pretending" to do something about it. It was extremely disruptive, and as a business you obviously can't kick anyone out, but it would've been very thoughtful if the manager or someone came around and acknowledged to the disruptive noise. Not sure if this is a regular thing at this restaurant but it did not make a good first impression. Unfortunately the food was nothing to boast about either. The calamari that was supposed to be "really good" (according to our server) was mediocre. And the lobster roll?! Umm what lobster?! The bread to lobster ratio was way off. The small pieces of lobster was bland, flavorless and I had to ask for salt. I ended up leaving half the roll and just ate the lobster bits. Fries were not crispy and also bland. Made a huge mistake coming here. Take your hard earned dollars and enjoy a quiet meal somewhere else! read more

Went to watch the FIFA final game and sat by the bar. We noticed the staff was limited for the number of patrons in the restaurant. Sitting at the bar was not the best option if we were on a rush. Gladly we were not and were very understanding with the great bar tender. She was very stressed out since she mentioned they were not aware of the local watch party held at the Promenade. Drinks took a long time to get served after a few reminders to the staff. Our entries were served at different times but we managed to make it work by sharing our meals. Food was great! Pork bowl was fresh and the Mexican grilled Shrimp bowl was delish. The bar tender was gracefully and apologetic about the delayed services and comped the 2 drinks. We noticed some staff were called in to help and the after game crowd started to fill the restaurant. Time to go for us. Definitely will visit again and follow up on this review. read more

We were out walking around bouncing from place to place and hopped in for a late lunch because the front of the place looked nice and like they would have good seafood (I know judging a book by it's cover, but when you get it right, it's really nice!). We were seated right away and the bartender was serving us so we got to chat with her. She was so helpful with the food and drinks. We were on a mini vacay so we wanted to indulge a bit. There were so many fun drink options to choose from! We ordered the kimchi fried rice with egg (it DID NOT DISAPPOINT) and the poke trio plate.
