Pacific catch is a chain restaurant, and I was drawn in by their happy hour offered on weekdays until 6pm. Service was okay, but both of our cocktails came out after our food which showed they forgot about them. The drinks weren't too memorable. The food itself was all fresh and tasted good. I got the fish tacos with a side of Brussel sprouts. The sprouts were a bit sweet, but to my liking. The avocado and tuna appetizer was definitely a shareable portion and a great deal. I would definitely come back for a reliable and more affordable option in Santa Monica. This restaurant is also on the inKind app, so I was able to refer my friend and use my credit to get $25 off our meal, and in return received another $25 which we spent on ice cream after dinner :) Referral link: https://app.inkind.com/refer/EGPDI2JT

I run past this spot every Monday with my Midnight Runners group, and the semi-outdoor patio has always caught my eye. I've been meaning to try it out, so I was excited when my coworkers suggested it as a happy hour spot after an early day off from work recently. It lived up to the vibe. Drinks were solid--my margarita hit the spot and leaned nicely tropical. Happy hour prices are good, but fair warning: some of the portions are on the smaller side (like the chips and salsa, which is more like pico de gallo.) Still, the atmosphere alone makes it worth it. It's got a super fun, laid-back vibe which makes it a great place to unwind. And if you wait a bit after Aloha Hour you can take a little walk to watch the sun set over the ocean. I'll definitely be back, if only for that patio.

Very nice new restaurant in the Brea Mall. The menu was great. The service was great for only being open 3 days. Potions were nice. Parking was a little challenging.

Came here with the fam after family photos and it was one of the few places still open around 9 on a weeknight AND the allowed our little fur baby. We had the whole patio to ourselves. It had been raining so it was sorta chilly and wet outside but the patio is covered and it had a fireplace as well as heaters so it worked out. I even got so hot at some point I had to take off my jacket. They have a doggie menu and they bring out a bowl of water just for your fur baby. She even got some pets. Service was great. Even though we were like the only ones left in the restaurant, I never felt rushed or like some places that rudely try to push you out. Our waitress was super friendly and nice. Food came out relatively quick. The appetizers were better than the main course but the dessert was good too. Ceviche was a winner and so good we didn't take a pic cause we were hungry. The lobster roll was good too. The miso cod was ok but the rice was dry and the green beans weren't great. The salmon with chimichurri sauce was overcooked and the kimchi fried rice which I didn't have but my son did said it lacked flavor. The chocolate lava cake with vanilla gelato was delish but didn't really lava. If we lived closer, it would be a nice place to come for drinks, apps and maybe dessert.

I just ordered the ceviche to go and was surprised by how small the portion was. As you can see in the photo, there was very little shrimp , basically one or two small chopped pieces in a thick, overly acidic green lime sauce with a few tiny pieces of avocado. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it, and the portion size definitely did not feel worth the price.

I wanna lean toward a 3.5 I can't and maybe a 4 is a little too good. First of The restaurant is really cute and the little patio areas were nice as well. I was just a little disappointed in the food. We came during the aloha hour and I got the salmon chowder and the taco platter. Idk if they just waited to run the food a bit bc of my friends coconut shrimp or what but it wasn't hot, wasn't cold either but like even the tacos seemed a little soggy or maybe the tortilla wasn't thoroughly cooked bc it just kinda fell apart. The fries weren't hot either. The crispy cod was tasty but the mahi mahi I had was a bit oily. The salmon chowder had a nice flavor but it was a bit watery and not really creamy. I don't know that I'd go out of my way to come here again. The service was pretty good and my margarita was tasty though .

Lovely restaurant! Brought 2 coworkers here for dinner and it was great. We sat outside which really seems more like inside. The top is uncovered, but there were heaters and glass sort of blocking us in. I really liked the atmosphere! First, our service was absolutely wonderful! Some of our party could be a bit much and he was great when there was lots of talking. The food was really good as well! I was debating between a couple of things and went with the platter that was fish, coconut shrimp, and calamari. Lots of food and big shrimp! One of our party had the lobster and they loved it. If I lived here I would be coming often as the prices were incredibly reasonable as well. Overall a really great time and great food. Try this place if you. haven't, they even have happy hour deals!

Jaz was the best server ever! She was so attentive and friendly. When checking out, I told her we had gone somewhere else for my girlfriends birthday a few hours ago and they didn't try to make her feel special at all and she immediately asked what dessert she would like and brought it out for her. We live in Long Beach but would come here 1000 times over just to see Jaz again and experience such amazing service. She deserves a raise she truly turned our whole day around!!

Fresh and high-quality food with excellent service! We ordered the guacamole with chips and the Salmon Firecracker Roll, and we also got the Mixed Catch (but I forgot to take a picture). The guacamole and chips were great--the guacamole was super tasty and refreshing. The Salmon Firecracker Roll was also very good, but a bit too salty for my taste. The Mixed Catch was surprisingly impressive. I usually don't like seafood in batter, but the batter here was really good. The calamari was juicy, fresh, and had a nice breading. The coconut shrimp were also good, though I didn't love the breading. The Alaskan cod was really juicy but needed a bit more seasoning. The sauces that came with the dish were amazing, and the chili French fries were delicious. The service was excellent, and they even have a dog menu, which is awesome. The ambiance is cozy and nice, although it can feel a little empty. Solid place!

This place is ineffable! A true Santa Monica gem ! When I arrived the hostess was so welcoming my mom and I felt like we were family! There was a breeze coming off the water, but they had it was so warm and cozy outside! We got there during happy hour and got cocktails and mocktails! I had the Guava Rita! It was delicious I'm still thinking about it now! My mom had a Nina colada mocktail and said it was very delicious too! When we ordered our food it was delicious I'm not even sure what to recommend because they have everything! But I loved the lobster roll and red curry which is also on their feel good 5 menu for dine in only! We had a blast and I hope everyone gives this place a chance! Bravo Pacific catch bravo!

    Happy hour items .

Nice ambiance, comfortable seating with view of outside and welcoming. Food is appealing and yummy. I went to celebrate finishing my taxes and have been wanting to stop in. I am so glad I did, and walkable for me too! Thank you to Ricky and Derrit..

Delicious tuna poke from Pacific Catch - July 2025
    Krista M.

Pacific Catch offers a phenomenal happy hour just steps from the beach which is exactly why I dined here in late July with a couple of friends. It's easy to find, laid-back, and makes for a perfect spot to unwind after a long day - or week, like I did. The seafood is undeniably fresh, so if you're craving fish, poke, or tacos in Santa Monica, I would recommend Pacific Catch! On my visit I started with the Guaca-Poke which was exactly what it sounds like - guacamole with fresh tuna poke. The tuna was so fresh and so flavorful and oooh the creamy guac was great, too! To drink, I ordered the "Feel No Pain" that was basically a virgin pina colada (yum) and super refreshing, balanced, and thoughtfully crafted (not too sweet!). I also got the Spicy Tuna Roll and, thinking I wasn't quite full, I made what turned out to be a mistake ordering the Crispy Baja Cod Taco - not because it wasn't delicious (it absolutely was) - but because I underestimated the portion! Even during happy hour, the serving sizes are no joke! It wasn't long before I was STUFFED! Really my only complaint about Pacific Catch during my happy hour visit in late July was the service. Our server was Dylan P. and while he wasn't terrible, he was very slow and inattentive, especially because happy hour only goes until a certain time and I needed our server to actually check in on us to see if we wanted to order anything else (which I did...!). Even so, the fresh seafood, fun atmosphere, and excellent happy hour made up for the lackluster service. All in all, Pacific Catch is a great place to grab fresh seafood and drinks in Santa Monica. Just come hungry, pace yourself, and take advantage of their happy hour!!! I'll definitely be back - I hope sooner rather than later!

They'd been open maybe an hour and there was one other person there picking up an order. First time here. The guy at the counter was very friendly, asked if I knew what I wanted, and I told him no and asked what's popular. He recommended three tacos so I went with that. He never asked about tortillas so they came out on corn. I'm not the biggest fan of corn tortillas, but after I sat down, I looked at the soda cup, and saw "handmade corn AND flour tortillas." Would've gone flour if I'd known that was even an option. My bad for not asking, but also a great opportunity to let a new customer know it's an option. Food came out fast. Three tacos, chips, a couple sides of salsa. All the meat was cold. Not fridge cold, but noticeably below room temperature. I'm sitting five feet from the kitchen in a place that opened 30 minutes ago. How is that even possible? The non-beef tacos were seasoned well, both of them, that part was fine. The beef was where it fell apart. Every single bite had pieces I literally couldn't chew through, and I kept pulling chunks out of my mouth. After my second bite I just stopped going back for more. For over $4 a taco, that quality is atrocious. Very fast if you need something quick to eat. First and last time for me.

The work was tedious, the people often annoying, but the learning real. And I would duck out to grab a burrito at TPF at lunch because the walk there and back was almost meditative. TPF speaks to an earlier version of Santa Monica, before Silicon Beach happened. When Dogtown was still in transition, the commercial and industrial spaces still plentiful, and the creativity flowed. I usually get a chicken burrito. It's great. The space hasn't changed. And is never crowded. However, El Primo has recently HUMBLED me. I have to give credit where credit is due and El Primo managed to slide in my number 1 spot for best tacos in LA - I am truly impressed. Of course, I always opt for carne asada and the meat here is just so tender and flavorful especially when paired with their salsa which has the perfect amount of spice and flavor. As a major pineapple fan, I understand it's more traditional to add that with al pastor but I add it onto my carne asada tacos and it is so yummy. Their pineapple is freshly cut right in front of you and is my favorite aspect of this vendor as I know not all vendors have it. Lastly, let's be clear that not all horchata is created equally but El Primo has superior horchata. The amount of milkiness and cinnamon is absolute perfection as I've had some watery horchatas in the past, so make sure you grab yourself a horchata while you're here. As someone who lives in the valley, despite recently discovering this spot a few weeks ago I find myself driving out to Venice a lot lately just for these tacos because they are just THAT GOOD and also very cheap. Just make sure you bring cash or have Zelle and enjoy the food here because it is phenomenal.

So I asked the person who brought the chips and salsa out , could you please bring a little bit more salsa. So he brings a 1 ounce silver cup of some additional salsa. Later, We asked for the bill. When they bring you the little handheld computer, it's very difficult to see the breakdown of what everything cost.
