I was on the hunt for a nice restaurant in a pretty location for a nice occasion. When we arrived, thankfully parking was free for 2 hours and it was basically empty in the restaurant. Although the ambiance was nice, the food was a major letdown as it lacked seasoning and wasn't anything to write home about. The server also knew we were celebrating a birthday but failed to say anything and that didn't make us feel very good. I am glad that we had the chance to see the sunset before we went to dinner because that made the night better.

TL;DR: Not worth it. Dry chicken in salad, overworked and unseasoned beef for the burger (read: dry), unseasoned/unbuttered lobster in lobster roll, inattentive and aloof staff who didn't seem to care whether we had a bad experience or not. This was our last night in town and decided to "treat" with something nice. On our trip we've had some really good food in unsuspecting places, and we didn't anticipate this to be any different. Unfortunately it was the worst food experience of our 7 day trip. Ambiance is modern and stylish, at first thought you'd think "this place is in a prime location and cares to get it right" and "we are about to be amazed"! Both are wrong. We stood outside the host stand for a good 8 minutes before someone came meandering up asking us if we needed help, then asked if we'd like a table. 4 people standing there waiting at the host stand staring at him; of course we want a table. We are taken to a table and seated, asked if we are staying at the hotel - to which we responded "no" and then he disappeared. Only to come back 5 minutes later to ask us for a "name for the table" then a "last initial" and then, "would you like to leave a phone number?" No thank you. Then he said "have a good night", which surprised us - we weren't sure if this guy was our server, if we had just broken a rule and can't eat there, or if that was nothing to worry about. About 2-3 minutes later our server appeared and took drink orders then rushed from the table, we had to get his attention to order an appetizer (which we were queuing to do right as the last drink was ordered, no delay until "and can we get..." as he walked away). He also didn't seem to care to be serving us. Long story short, the rest of the night was waiting, eating "mid" quality food, and being waited on in a nonchalant, almost annoyed manner. Bill was $300 at the end of the meal, and I would never eat there again. There are too many quality eateries around this immediate area that actually want your business.

Really great experience tonight for dinner at this new beautiful restaurant! Super easy to make a reservation since it is very new. If you're thinking of dining here, I highly recommend it! I went with a group of four and three of us got the burger and I got the risotto. Everything was amazing! Really high quality ingredients. I saw they had several creative vegan options too. Definitely a solid place and will be coming back! They have outdoor/indoor vibes so you feel like you're outside even when you are inside which was so nice. The wait staff were all really friendly and professional too. I am not sure about parking because we walked.

We had a great brunch today to celebrate my son's birthday. The lobster roll was amazing and everything else was fantastic. The location can't be beat. Raul, the manager, went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Really appreciated his hospitality. Restaurant is new, clean and the food was amazing. We will be back!

There's some outdoor seating and it's kid and pet friendly until the later evening hours. The cocktail menu leans tiki, and I had the "I Believe In Science" made with gin, Thai basil, watermelon and soda water. It really didn't taste like much. Their pizza menu changes from time to time. We had the clam pizza which was almost personal pizza size and cost a cool $27. At that price, I would expect to be blown away. Overall, the whole experience was underwhelming.

Most of the bars are dive bars in downtown Santa Monica, and parking is quite accessible for this place. So I'd recommend for that reason. In terms of the drinks, I'm a huge fan of cocktail but I would say their menu selections are a bit limited. Nothing in the signature cocktail looks interesting to me, so I had the bartender make a classic cocktail instead. He's very attentive and friendly, didn't take forever to get a drink either, no attitude. Drinks aren't watered down either. Nice! You come here to grab quick drinks when you don't feel like being at a loud dive bar in the area, it's in a hotel but not too upscale, no strict dress code. Music is not loud and they have couches and booth if bar table if not your thing, you don't have to yell or pretend you hear everything to hold a conversation here (lol). ** Keep in mind 20% gratuity is automatically included in bill, it's my first time here. But I think I've other spots I'd prefer to be in, even at Santa Monica. Wouldn't be self-motivated to come back because there are better places that specialises mixology, and there are also better upscale hotel bars to be at. But if you're around the area it's a great intimate bar for date night that's not overly pricey. Wouldn't travel all the way to here just for this (if you know what I mean).

I honestly do not think each one was even 20 ml. It was far below a standard 1 oz 30 ml pour per shot and looked more like something you would measure cough syrup with. The amount served was completely disproportionate to what we were charged and it ultimately felt like a scam. To make it worse, the shots were served in plastic cups that were smaller than a NyQuil dose cup, which made the whole thing feel even more ridiculous given the price. If you are charging premium bar prices, at least pour a proper amount and serve it in real glassware. On top of that, the attitude from the bartenders and much of the staff was rude and dismissive. This was not just my opinion. Our entire group felt the same way, and we even heard similar complaints from other patrons while we were there. What is most frustrating is that this still has not been made right. There has been no meaningful resolution and no accountability. Extremely disappointing and not the pub experience you would expect.

It was a lil' thicker than your typical mango lassi, but the faint sweetness did a great job at masking the earthiness of the kava. It had a cool vibe and tons of allocated bottles on the bar (tequila and whiskey and whisky to name a few categories). The staff greeted us quickly and supplied us with some menus. I opted for the Idyllwild cocktail and loved it! It had the most complementary flavors and was so refreshing with the bourbon, yuzu, chartreuse, honey, and lemon flavors. My husband opted for a neat Caballito Cerrero Puntas pour (high proof agave spirit). They only had 0.5 Oz for their bottle and only charged for the partial pour. People came in and ordered anything from cocktails to neat pours to flights. It was a cool spot and the bartenders seemed pretty well versed in different cocktails, giving a few suggestions to different patrons. Even making a few Espresso Martinis for a couple of girls that didn't really like their initial cocktails. Staff was cool, attentive, and pretty quick and efficient with the pours. I'd definitely be down to try more drinks here if we roll through again. Luckily, we found some close street parking and it wasn't super busy so we easily found parking in the area. It also wasn't super packed in the venue so we could've opted for other seating--lounge areas, a few tables, or just at the bar.
