TL;DR: Not worth it. Dry chicken in salad, overworked and unseasoned beef for the burger (read: dry), unseasoned/unbuttered lobster in lobster roll, inattentive and aloof staff who didn't seem to care whether we had a bad experience or not. This was our last night in town and decided to "treat" with something nice. On our trip we've had some really good food in unsuspecting places, and we didn't anticipate this to be any different. Unfortunately it was the worst food experience of our 7 day trip. Ambiance is modern and stylish, at first thought you'd think "this place is in a prime location and cares to get it right" and "we are about to be amazed"! Both are wrong. We stood outside the host stand for a good 8 minutes before someone came meandering up asking us if we needed help, then asked if we'd like a table. 4 people standing there waiting at the host stand staring at him; of course we want a table. We are taken to a table and seated, asked if we are staying at the hotel - to which we responded "no" and then he disappeared. Only to come back 5 minutes later to ask us for a "name for the table" then a "last initial" and then, "would you like to leave a phone number?" No thank you. Then he said "have a good night", which surprised us - we weren't sure if this guy was our server, if we had just broken a rule and can't eat there, or if that was nothing to worry about. About 2-3 minutes later our server appeared and took drink orders then rushed from the table, we had to get his attention to order an appetizer (which we were queuing to do right as the last drink was ordered, no delay until "and can we get..." as he walked away). He also didn't seem to care to be serving us. Long story short, the rest of the night was waiting, eating "mid" quality food, and being waited on in a nonchalant, almost annoyed manner. Bill was $300 at the end of the meal, and I would never eat there again. There are too many quality eateries around this immediate area that actually want your business.

Really great experience tonight for dinner at this new beautiful restaurant! Super easy to make a reservation since it is very new. If you're thinking of dining here, I highly recommend it! I went with a group of four and three of us got the burger and I got the risotto. Everything was amazing! Really high quality ingredients. I saw they had several creative vegan options too. Definitely a solid place and will be coming back! They have outdoor/indoor vibes so you feel like you're outside even when you are inside which was so nice. The wait staff were all really friendly and professional too. I am not sure about parking because we walked.

Attached to the Shore Hotel is Shoreside restaurant. Excellent ambiance and our waiter, Rafael was exceptional. They offer great choices for breakfast and dinner. I appreciate the heaters for cold morning.

This place did not disappoint! Definitely worth coming here if you're in the area or need a place to have some brunch and chill by the pool! The French toast here is a must! They have this vanilla whipped cream. That is very delicious! Their potatoes could be a little crispy, but we sent it back so that they could fry it a little longer! The service here is amazing! Everyone is friendly and they constantly check up on you which I really appreciate it!

It was initially confusing when we arrived, because there was no host on shift, and we had to ask the barista inside where we should be going. After taking a peek in the actual downstairs basement tavern, we opted to sit outside under the eclectic mix of chandeliers, heat lamps, and lightbulbs, instead of the empty smoky basement. There was a live pianist playing in the front lawn, which was amazing and pretty much made the night. I don't know if it's a regular thing, but if it is, I'd definitely come back just for that. Probably since it was a weekday night, the place was pretty deserted, but we didn't mind - it was like a private show with plenty of seating options. The happy hour food was awesome. We got a bunch of appetizers to share, and there was plenty of food. Our favorite was probably the grilled octopus and calamari, and the brussel sprouts were amazing. The fish tacos and ceviche were not bad, but tasted basically the same. Our server was really sweet. In the future, I would come in a group of three since it seems like all the appetizers come in multiples of three and it would have been more easily shared between us.

There's some outdoor seating and it's kid and pet friendly until the later evening hours. The cocktail menu leans tiki, and I had the "I Believe In Science" made with gin, Thai basil, watermelon and soda water. It really didn't taste like much. Their pizza menu changes from time to time. We had the clam pizza which was almost personal pizza size and cost a cool $27. At that price, I would expect to be blown away. Overall, the whole experience was underwhelming.

Most of the bars are dive bars in downtown Santa Monica, and parking is quite accessible for this place. So I'd recommend for that reason. In terms of the drinks, I'm a huge fan of cocktail but I would say their menu selections are a bit limited. Nothing in the signature cocktail looks interesting to me, so I had the bartender make a classic cocktail instead. He's very attentive and friendly, didn't take forever to get a drink either, no attitude. Drinks aren't watered down either. Nice! You come here to grab quick drinks when you don't feel like being at a loud dive bar in the area, it's in a hotel but not too upscale, no strict dress code. Music is not loud and they have couches and booth if bar table if not your thing, you don't have to yell or pretend you hear everything to hold a conversation here (lol). ** Keep in mind 20% gratuity is automatically included in bill, it's my first time here. But I think I've other spots I'd prefer to be in, even at Santa Monica. Wouldn't be self-motivated to come back because there are better places that specialises mixology, and there are also better upscale hotel bars to be at. But if you're around the area it's a great intimate bar for date night that's not overly pricey. Wouldn't travel all the way to here just for this (if you know what I mean).

We had some people on our group that had some food/dietary limitations that were not addressed when we ordered the food/not clearly stated enough on the menu, and when we politely address these to the server, he became very cold and rude. It took ages to get the replacement food out, and the server even tossed one of the plates onto the table and some of the food fell off of it and he did nothing to fix it. I have rarely seen experience as unprofessional and outright hostile before in an establishment like this, and to say that I was shocked with the severe understatement. To summarize: this was not a good experience whatsoever and none of us will be returning here again.

It had a cool vibe and tons of allocated bottles on the bar (tequila and whiskey and whisky to name a few categories). The staff greeted us quickly and supplied us with some menus. My husband opted for a neat Caballito Cerrero Puntas pour (high proof agave spirit). They only had 0.5 Oz for their bottle and only charged for the partial pour. People came in and ordered anything from cocktails to neat pours to flights. It was a cool spot and the bartenders seemed pretty well versed in different cocktails, giving a few suggestions to different patrons. Even making a few Espresso Martinis for a couple of girls that didn't really like their initial cocktails. Staff was cool, attentive, and pretty quick and efficient with the pours. I'd definitely be down to try more drinks here if we roll through again. Luckily, we found some close street parking and it wasn't super busy so we easily found parking in the area. We were hopping around happy hours in Venice and decided this would be our third and final stop since we have been wanting to check it out. The vibe & the restaurant is beautiful. If you are two people, then you will be seated at the two tops which are so uncomfortably close to each other, you literally feel like you're having dinner with the people to your right and left. There is like 2 inches of space between each table! Upon seating, we were offered still or sparkling water, went for regular water. The server explained the menu and initially everything felt standard and fine. When we were ready to order, we selected two pasta dishes and a Caesar salad. At that point, the server paused and said our order was "kind of light" and that that sounds like more of "a light meal." in what world is it OK to make comments about someone's order?? and he asked if we were very hungry before his comment then I may have cut some slack. But the comment felt unnecessary and a bit judgmental, as if we were being encouraged to order more food rather than simply choosing what we wanted. It made us feel uncomfortable honestly. We explained that we had been hopping between happy hour spots and this was our third stop, and he simply acknowledged it and walked away. Overall, the food was really good but the service was ok at best. Our server pretty much disappeared after that and we didn't see him until it was time for dessert which we did order the affogato. At that point, I'm not sure why but another server took over our table and he was much friendlier. He mentioned that if we were from the area that we should come back and check out the nightlife because it turns into a club lounge that gets really fun on weekends.
