Wasn't sure how to rate this place. I think it's really likely 3.5 but the super affordable price and the fact they deliver to your table definitely bumps it up to 4 stars. You order at the counter. So many choices! Tacos, burritos, breakfast burritos and combo plates! No guacamole, but they do offer an avocado sauce. There is a self serve chip and salsa bar complimentary. I got a bean and cheese burrito as well as a carnitas taco. The taco was of pretty large size and had too much pico de gallo on it for my liking. Easy to fix by scraping some off:) The meat was tasty and for $2.50 I felt like a good value. The bean burrito was large. Filled with tons of beans and cheese. Not the best refried beans I have had but definitely better than 50%. They bring you both a red sauce and green sauce to the table. Both were really flavorful and had a nice kick! The atmosphere is very casual. Reasonably clean and looked like during nice weather a really nice outdoor patio area. Lots of people stopping in for takeout too. Likely you can't get this much decent food for such a great price at too many places in the downtown area. I will come back and try something different in the near future, I feel sure. read more

I have been on the fence about this place for weeks, putting off reviewing it. Their prices are unbeatable, and they are a walking-distance lunch spot for us. It was shaping up to be the perfect Mexican lunch joint for us, except that we have yet to have a meal here that is more than "meh". We keep going back, for convenience and in the hopes of finding one thing they do really well that we can get all the time, but it's just not happening. The burritos are okay, the al pastor tacos are decent. We do like the self-serve chip and salsa bar. I was so excited to find out they served chilaquiles for lunch, I really thought they would be the ticket. I got an enormous plate of food for $7, but the chilaquiles consisted of tortillas swimming in flavorless canned enchilada sauce with a crusty overcooked egg and cheese on top. So disappointing. Oregon is full of so much high-quality Mexican food for cheap that I can't just give this place a four- or five-star review because they are friendly and their food is cheap and edible. Hopefully, if we go back, we find a dish that they do really well, but we continue to strike out so far. read more

The service was friendly and quick, the portions were large and the food was inexpensive. However our shredded beef burrito was literally a wet mess without any flavor. It's like the meat came out of soup. We didn't like it at all and we are not picky eaters! The chicken nachos were pretty good until I had a bite of just chicken which didn't taste fresh at all- it had that stale leftover chicken taste. When eaten all together it was good. I came to Bend visiting one of my relatives and he suggested Super Burrito for lunch. I walked in and the first thing I thought was "ehhhh". Most of the surrounding restaurants are very nice and clean, but def not this place. I walked into Super Burrito and it was dirty, very unorganized and sketchy. Their menu is very confusing and it's hard to even know what they serve. The staff was not the nicest group of people and they could not really help explain what was on some of their menu items. It didn't even feel like I was in a Mexican restaurant. I felt like I was in a dirty cafeteria. On the good side, the food was actually pretty good. I got a burrito supreme with carnitas. It was nothing special, but it def filled me up. There was a good serving size of all of the ingredients in my burrito. Overall, I would Probably try something new instead of coming back to the Super Burrito. read more

No, there is really nothing super about this place. Oh wait! The lunch service was super, "super slooow". The "super" burrito is packed full of refried beans and very little meat or anything else. Their flavors are drab & bland. Parking is limited. C'mon, if your going to have a variety of hot sauces put a little "heat" in at least one of them. What is that red sauce; watered down catsup??? Great burrito palace in Bend. The farther I get from Mexican border, the more skeptical I get about Mexican restaurants in the US. Happily for Bend residents and travelers, Super Burrito gives up nothing to its southern ilk in CA, TX, AZ, etc. Although Super Burrito's address is on Wall St, it's front door is on Newport, so you won't be able to see it from Wall St. There are only a few parking spots in front on Newport, so be prepared to scout around for a parking space. There is a reasonably spacious eating area inside with around a dozen tables. For warmer weather, there is also an outdoor patio, but I am unclear whether there are tables out there (OK, it was dark and below freezing out, so I wasn't interested....) Not sure what one reviewer was saying about it being dirty, unorganized, etc. For a taqueria-type joint, I thought it was fairly clean and neat. Sure, it's not fru-fru like some of the fine dining establishments a block away, but for a $5 lunch spot, you've got to scale your expectations, bro! Order and pay at the counter, grab a table and they will bring you your food when ready. There is a small salsa bar with free chips to keep yourself occupied while you wait. All four of us got burritos - veggie, carnitas, shredded beef, and chicken. All tasted great, terrific flavor and decent portion size for the money. Using our Super Burrito decoder ring, we figured out that the "super" burritos have a chile relleno embedded inside, while the "supreme: versions have rice and sour cream added. You can go full boat and combine them both for maximum mass. I liked the carnitas best - a mix of crispy bits and tender pork, nice mild flavor. For the adventurous, they have traditional Mexican meat options like beef tongue, tripe, and the ever popular cabezas :-) Nice people, good service, large portions, low price. One of the best Mexican restaurants downtown. Pretty much anything on the menu is an excellent choice, with a reasonable price. Very busy during lunch hours, but they are open into the evening so you can go for dinner as well. Don't expect to be able to get a table during lunch- there are only 5 tables. The same employees are always there (family owned... I'm pretty sure), and they are friendly and helpful. One downside is that they are closed on Sundays... something that has inconvenienced my friends and I on more than one occasion. read more

This place could use some customer service. It's lunch time and the tortilla chips are empty. They have baskets of chips, lots, behind the counter for $1.50 each. Asked them to throw a couple of baskets into the common bin. Nope! Food's just OK. You're better off at Barrio or Hola, but neither of them are particularly great. read more

This place was a little hard to find because it's basically in an office building, but once we found it, we were pleasantly surprised. I got a delicious bean and cheese burrito with the exact correct amount of bean to cheese ratio. My hubby loved his $7 special chicken fajita platter. Super Burrito is awesome, their food is superior to anything else I've had in Bend, and I went to a very pricey eatery nearby that had slow service and awful food... But Super Burrito has quick service, very, very reasonable prices. We're East coast burrito eaters (don't judge) and were pleasantly surprised by the chile relleno in each burrito and the refried beans were awesome. Salsas - both green and red- were excellent. Got so sick after eating their Tamales on Christmas Eve. It was awful! I had great experiences here up until this point. I'd be very leery about ordering tamales in the future. I stopped in here randomly with the entire family this summer while on a trip to see some friends in Bend. The service wasn't real quick but the food was hot and pretty tasty. The salsa was spicy (which is always a plus). Also, the portions were large and we totally over-ordered. I came here for lunch because it's close to my work and rated well. I'm really disappointed. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and a side of rice. What I got was a watery and somehow also dry meat and bean burrito. A chimichanga is typically meat and cheese. This one was meat and beans, no cheese at all. The fact that I ordered chicken and got beef kind of sucked but the beef was weird in its own way. It was very dry but also super watery inside the burrito, like they over cooked it then froze it and then microwaved it and put the thawed liquid mess into the burrito. This place makes really good Mexican food. I grew up in west Texas and have been to border towns in Mexico many times. The food is not 100% authentic but I think they have had to improvise to satisfy the local customer base. I really like the Chile Verde burrito and the green chicken enchiladas. read more

My husband and I love going here when we want to eat out but don't want to break the wallet. Even though it has a prime location, it reminds me of a "hole-in-the-wall" type restaurant. The place probably isn't the cleanest but THE FOOD IS PRETTY AMAZING, especially for the price. Also, staff is always super nice! And I read another reviewer saying they had a sore stomach afterwards but seriously I've been to 5 star restaurants and feel like I got food poisoning from them. Its just something that happens every once in a while when you put others in control of your food. I would recommend this place to anyone, well maybe except a germaphobe. read more

I can't get enough of this place. They have really tasty food and the staff has always been courteous and attentive. We have tried a few different menu items like burritos, tacos and quesadillas and liked everything we have scarfed down. The burrito is what I keep coming back for. This little Mexican restaurant was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very clean and tidy, and had a very lovely set up overall. The menu wasn't overloaded with items which was good. It was simple and informative. The food was quite quick in coming out. The breakfast burrito I had was divine. The tortilla was warm, soft and had a slight crispness to it. The touch of pineapple in my burrito added so much flavour. Literally just ate here, asked for a vegeterian burrito, tipped 50%, started eating, got beef or something disgusting in my butrito. I was already driving out of town so I couldnt go back. Its literally all just chopped ends of veggies undercooked, not even rice or beans?? Was a waste of money.. my question is why are they not cleaning the flat top in between service? I worked food service all my life, and I would akways keep the cook place immaculate. My family and I were the only ones even in there, and I put my order in 5 minutes before they did, so its really annoying this even happened. read more
