I've been going to this place for over fifteen years and I'm sorry to say I will no longer be giving them my business. I called in an order for a cheese enchilada plate for take out. Got home and it was beef so I called to hopefully get a replacement and the owner was laughing at me over the phone saying that he never gave me that order. Even though I was the only person in the entire place waiting for my food while he finished a phone call. Owner was extremely rude and not helpful in any sense and laughed at me over the phone. Never would have expected this place to be as good as it is. We came here with friends that have been telling us how good it is for awhile. They were 100% correct in this is probably the best burrito I've had in Bend so far. The burrito was a two meal burrito so the value is just as good as the food. As other reviewers mentioned the salsa bar is fairly spicy which I found very exciting as there is usually only 1 spicy option and it usually isn't my favorite flavor. I can only speak for the West side location and just the el pastor super supreme burrito which is my favorite. During our visit, they were offering take-out only, no indoor dining. We called in our order and it was ready in about 15 minutes. We tried the burrito supreme with ground beef, the nachos supreme with chicken, and the combo plate (enchilada and chile relleno). The prices were very reasonable. The food was decent and the portions generous. The burrito supreme was our favorite selection. Parking is bit of a challenge at their location. This is a great affordable place to eat in the city. The carne asada was pretty tasty! They were following CDC recommendations really well too which we appreciated. The bathroom was a bit run down with no tp and a seemingly broken lock, but we were happy they had one. One note is that they were using materials that weren't compostable which was a tad disappointing considering our current situation. Moving from California, my burrito expectations are a bit high. After hearing that Chipotle may be my best bet for a quality burrito here in town, I nearly hit rock bottom. Then I heard this place was legit, and this place has been a blessing ever since. I'm no calorie counter, so the el pastor super supreme burrito (with a Chile rellano in it) is my go-to. The asada is also good. I haven't had much else but the burritos, tacos and nachos yet, so that's all I can speak on, but I would imagine the plates are also above average. This is an OLD SCHOOL place for me in Bend. I was eating here when they were on Minnesota with the parking lot in the back. Same family owned it then too. Then the parking lot was built (where Zydeco is now). They eventually moved and the place is never really crowded but the food is authentic really. I love the Chorizo breakfast burrito after a night on the town if you get me!! I love the supreme super burrito too. Chile Relleno with Picadillo covered in enchilada sauce...I am getting super hungry as I am typing this! The beans are good and the salsa bar is good too. My kids were raised on the bean and cheese burritos here as they are CHEAP and FAST and good. This is a great Hispanic family that I hope never leaves us like Taco Stand did (Gene!!!). Incredible burritos! These are legit. I got the veggie burrito and added potatoes and my boyfriend got a breakfast burrito with chorizo and bacon. The tortillas are so fresh. Veggies are perfectly cooked with a good amount of char and crispness left behind. The refried beans are PERFECT. Excellent hiking fuel.
