Eggplant and green beans:3/5: I order this at every restaurant I find this item at. The eggplant here was coated in some starch and then deep fried so it had a crispy coating. If done well, I think it can taste good but this was slightly uncooked and not very flavorful. The beans were tough as well. Egg fried rice: 3.5/5: simple no frills fried rice, not much umami to boast of, not very flavorful on its own but can make a nice accompaniment for other dishes. Scallion oil noodles: 3.5/5: pretty oily but good flavor of the scallions. Chicken chowmein:3/5: lacked wok hei. It had all the right components, chicken was nice and juicy as well but unfortunately they didn't allow the noodles to get stir fried long enough.

A group of 8. Saturday late lunch ~2pm The General Tso's Chicken was one of the highlights. We especially liked the extra crispy chicken pieces, which stayed crunchy even with the sauce. Shrimp and Garlic Noodles were good. The stir-fried noodles were flavorful, and the shrimp were cooked well. We especially enjoyed the garlic seasoning noodles. The Shredded Pork Hot and Sour Soup was another standout. It had a good balance of sour and savory flavors. The Beef Chow Fun and Original Pork Soup Dumplings were both okay, but nothing particularly outstanding. The biggest disappointment was the Shanghai Pan-Fried Soup Dumplings. we ordered two sets, none of the dumplings had the savory soup that we were expecting. The Scallion Pancake was also a letdown. It was quite bland On the positive side, the service was great. Staffs were friendly and helpful.

I ordered the mushroom and chinese spinach bao for lunch at work yesterday. When I tried them in the office I thought the bao were just okay, and they didn't seem to have much of a flavor on their own until dunked in the soy sauce I was given on the side. They also gave me a side container of spicy sauce which was unexpectedly EXTREMELY spicy. However the next day I reheated them in the microwave and I actually thought they were quite good. So I'm not exactly sure what happened because they were delivered warm so it wasn't just the temperature. But I think microwaving them actually like released some oil in the filling or something idk. The menu does seem to have plenty of vegan options, but the labelling is a bit confusing. I'm pretty sure many of the items labelled vegetarian on their physical menu are actually also vegan. Also the items they labelled as vegetarian/vegan on the work lunch ordering service we use (waiter.com) is different than the labelling on the photos of the restaurant menu I've seen.

This is one of my favorite place to stop by when I am in the area in Fremont. This is a really authentic restaurant that is serving some really good Chinese Sichuan food. . I got to try out the steamed buns filled with pork and shrimp inside and chives. It was really good and fresh and I do love the dough. .

It's legit being super bao. Their BAO is a-ok!!! I heard the braised pork BAO, very fresh and soft buns and the meat is very flavorful. Hot and sour soup - a little overwhelmed with sesame oil but the flavor is good. Scallion dry noodles - I actually didn't expect it to be good since it's the green onion is not diced but covered with green onion. But then it turned out very flavorful. Only problem: way too much oil. But I still want to order it next time. Braised beef noodle - legit. Soup taste excellent, noodle texture is great, beef stew very tender. Pan fried buns - also very good. I mean this place really is super bao!

omg I thought i left a review here but I guess i haven't! This is my FAVORITE chinese place in south bay! The menu is extensive and everything is baseline good or great - portions are generous and food tastes good!! I love the zucchini egg bao ( get it pan fried ) and salt and pepper tofu - the salt and pepper tofu is well flavored and not oily. Their sweet and sour crispy eggplant or spicy eggplant is SOO GOOD a definite must try here Love their egg fried rice too, very balanced. Love the chow fun. Also have tried honey walnut shrimp, fish filet in chili oil, dan dan noodles - everything here is good you can't go wrong. Been here a handful of times this year ! Def recommend to the locals and will be returning for sure!

weekend dinner for 2 adults...located on the corner of rengstorff and central expressway in mountain view...a bunch of people waiting outside...qr code to check-in and waiting about 15 minutes before being seated...qr code menu and order by phone...taking the shanghai pan-fried soup dumplings $11.99 to share...crispy browned bottom and piping hot...not the favorite, but was okay...noodles on the other hand was pretty good...bejing bean past noodle $13.99 was plentiful and enough sauce to coat the noodles well...braised beef noodle soup $15.99 was also quite hearty and filling portion...loaded with beef, vegetables and noodles....the broth was much richer and bolder than other beef noodle soups in comparison...a very filling meal for 2 people for about $54 total after tax and tip...pay on your phone after...

A really solid local dumpling spot in a small plaza with lots of parking! The dan dan noodles were the highlight of the menu - super flavorful and portion is enough to share for 2 people. The only thing we're dead set on getting again. Their mini-pan fried pork buns could use more soup inside, while their spicy wontons were super bland. Their XLB dumplings are pretty standard otherwise. Avoid their drinks here, we got a lychee juice and also had iced water, and both drinks tasted like the dishwasher. Would come back just for those noodles though!

This location has seen many Chinese restaurants. I felt like been here before, but not this reincarnation. Yet another comfort-food chained Chinese eatery. General quality was quite good. Make sure you order few varieties of steamed bao (not xiao long bao). As for other dishes, follow your heart and they probably won't disappoint. But not memorable either. After all, the aim is comfort food. I do recommend Sour and Hot soup. Although a staple for many, their version is quite good.

I enjoyed our lunch here. Authentic Northern China style food that has good flavor and generous portions. We started with the cold cucumber salad, which was good. Crisp cucumber, woodear mushrooms. Flavorful and refreshing. We also had some spicy dan dan noodles, which wasn't too spicy, but still interesting (as in not bland). Enjoyed this quite a bit. The pan fried dumplings were good too, with a crisp-ish bottom and good soup inside. Solid and pleasing overall. Would come back again and love to try more dishes.

This was my second time eating Super Bao this month, and it was just as delicious as the first! I got takeout this time around for myself and friends, and we tried five new dishes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and came in generous portions. The sauces packed a nice kick without overpowering the food and allowed the flavors to be the star still. My favorite dishes this round were the Mini Pork Soup Dumplings and the Spicy Hunan Style Stir Fried Beef. Everything was delicious, but those two were easily the stars. The staff is always quick, friendly, and efficient, which makes the experience even better. I was already a fan, but they have officially made regulars out of us. I know I'll be back soon!

One of my favorite dumpling places in the South Bay! The food comes out quick and the staff is really nice. I also see a lot of takeout orders as well. My favorite dishes are the XLB and the fried eggplant.

We used to come here for takeouts when they were Dumpling Garden. We moved away but we're in the area earlier today. I bookmarked Super Bao a while ago when I was searching for "Hot and New Restaurants" in Yelp, and finally had a chance to give it a try. The interior looked pretty much the same as Dumpling Garden. The menu was new. Now there're more buns vs dumplings. The two of us shared 3 things. The food came out very quickly. The cucumber salad with tofu skin was light and fresh. Could use a bit more seasonings, but it was still good. It came with some wood ear, which I liked, as well. The dan dan noodle was hot and flavorful; the noodles had a nice chew. Portion size was good. The mini pan-fried pork buns were piping hot when they came out. Even though they're small, there was still quite a bit of juice inside. It would be even better if the bottom of the buns was more crispy. Service was friendly and efficient. Price was reasonable. A solid Chinese place for a quick meal. Would love to come back again to try other items on the menu when we're in the area.

Is this dumpling garden rebranded and same food or is it new owners all together?

This is a completely different menu and operated primarily as a take-out and delivery restaurant, though there is ample seating to eat in. Very extensive menu and after one visit I am pleased with quality of food and prices.

Parking was easy as they had two parking lots. The inside decoration had not changed at all. It had the very classic American Chinese restaurant vibe. The hype was real and there's a whole wall full of celebrity pictures downstairs. The food quality and taste was much better than we expected. Portion size wasn't huge, but price was still reasonable, considering it's expensive everywhere. We ordered 4 dishes and jasmine rice. The Rainbow Fish Fillets weren't fishy at all; there were a good amount of fish, and the vegetables were fresh. I liked that the sauce was light and the dish was seasoned well. The Pan-Seared Black Pepper Steak was another scrumptious dish, and the beef was tender. The Braised Triple Mushrooms had shiitake, button, straw mushrooms, snow peas and carrots in a delicious oyster sauce. The only dish I didn't really care for was the General Chicken. While their unique sauce was quite tasty, the chicken was too dry for me, and there was quite a bit of batter. Overall, it's a great meal catching up with friends. The servers were friendly and kept refilling our tea/water; we didn't feel rushed to leave.

My favorites were the boneless crisp aromatic duck which was very flavorful, minced chicken in lettuce cups, and steamed Chilean sea bass with black bean sauce which was super tender. We thought the pan-seared black pepper steak would be thinner slices but they were large chunks. Pretty tender though. The chicken salad and string beans were just ok for me compared to the other dishes. Overall not super authentic but still a tasty meal and fun to eat here given the hype and history of the restaurant.

They have the same meaty soup base with wheat noodles, mustard greens, pickled radish, and fresh cilantro. Not sure if the noodles were hand-pulled but they had really nice chewiness. We ordered one Beef Brisket Mifen in Clay Pot (spicy). Similar toppings as the other soups and they throw in half a seasoned egg. Noodles in this one are the slightly slippery rice noodles. Mixed Two Vegetable Platter (mild spicy) - this was a nice complement to the noodles. Cucumbers were the typical sweet, tangy, garlicky kind. The other veggie was tofu skin. These were topped off with fried peanuts. Coconut Lava Balls - chewy outside. Inside was some kind of thickened coconut with sago. Really interesting and I thought the taste was pretty good. I did enjoy the texture of the dough, but again, the shredded beef inside simply lacked a lot of flavor. The staff was friendly and we were able to sit down quickly (no line this time) but I probably wouldn't come back to be honest. Just didn't meet my expectations unfortunately.
