Honest, I'm not super lazy (ok, maybe just a little bit)! I typically travel a lot for business and I've been known to throw my back out when cleaning the house so a number of years ago, I had to bite the bullet and hire a cleaning service. I found Maggie's on Craigslist and I honestly can't say enough nice things about her Super Awesome Cleaning Service. Their name is very apt as they are in fact "Super" and "Awesome!" I've been using Maggie's for about the last 5 years and I have never had such incredible service from such trustworthy people. It is a small family run operation, so you will always know the people who come to your house. When they clean, they really, really clean; my place always looks and smells fantastic when they are done - they even get my ashtrays and dishes and remember to do things like clean my ceiling fan blades! They are very, very thorough, it's fantastic to come home when they've been there. Generally, it's Maggie and an assistant (sometimes her incredibly sweet mom) and they are great about accommodating you if you need to change days or need an emergency cleaning, etc. I make sure Maggie has a set of my keys so she can always get in - I can't tell you how many times she has totally saved my ass by showing up for a last minute appointment for me! She has also gone above and beyond and checked on my cats for me when I'm out of town - seriously, who does that? Maggie is just the best! I had her come in on a weekly basis, and the rates were redonkulously reasonable; the more you have her in, the lower the rates go. I've referred her to people for move ins and move outs, so she is available for occasional or one time cleanings as well. I seriously love, love, love these guys! Give her a call; she is very professional and incredibly friendly, you just can't go wrong here. read more

I can only use one word to describe Maggie and her services. AMAZING! Zac and I decided that we needed to hire a cleaning lady to keep our place immaculately clean. Yes, we're neat and organized but dread the cleaning process. We really don't want to scrub the tub, clean the kitchen cabinets, or wall trimmings. So, we researched cleaning ladies on Yelp and thanks to you fellow yelpers we were introduced to Maggie. She is our savior. Maggie visits bi-weekly, and gives our place a deep cleaning. There is nothing better than coming home from work every other Tuesday and walking into a super clean apartment. The first thing I do is run to the bathroom and just admire her work. I can see my reflection on the faucet handles. Maggie and her mom make a great team. She is extremely nice and professional. She brings her own cleaning supplies and we just provide the basics like a vacuum cleaner, etc. I know I know...How much? Well, after researching various cleaning ladies or cleaning services we found Maggie to be extremely reasonable, especially for the size of our place. Once you call her (and you should) she'll schedule a walk-through of your place to determine your needs and to review her and your expectations. So, if you're debating about hiring a cleaning lady call Maggie and start coming home to a super clean haven. read more

As written by my wife: Maggie was "Super Awesome" at cleaning our townhouse. After reading a couple great reviews, we decided to call Maggie and give her a try. She was pretty thorough with her cleaning, and she did not leave until her work was finished. For our first time cleaning she stayed over six hours! She even re-cleaned our dining area after we made a mess feeding our two young girls. She was very courteous, pleasant, accommodating, and respectful. We stayed home the whole time she cleaned, and she was a pleasure to have around that afternoon. In addition, she brought her own supplies (except the vacuum) and used some all-natural lovely smelling products. It's difficult to find a dependable, affordable, pleasant, and hard-working cleaning company these days. We loved Maggie's services and plan to use her on a regular basis! read more

I'm bummed! I wanted to try this cleaning service but they have been unresponsive to both internet (via the form filled out on their website) and phone messages. I tried them via the website on the 7th and then followed up with a phone message on the 13th. Crickets. I'm glad people have good luck with this service, but disappointed that my time has been wasted waiting around to hear back from them. I even mentioned on my phone message that I'm in a big hurry to get something booked. read more

I would have to say that having someone, especially a stranger, come into your home and clean is a very personal service. I had to have my home cleaned for a special visit and the days that I had available were limited. First off, the communication with Maggie was great. We were able to call and/or email each other and get the perfect time figured out and she was flexible which was great. Secondly, she was very attentive in scheduling and finding out what kind of cleaning I needed. Last, the cleaning. Impeccable. For what I have paid in the past for other cleaning services and the amount of time they spent in my home, Maggie beat them hands down. Also, the bonus of being able to communicate what exactly you want the focus of the cleaning to be, or which types of products you want used is a real perk. I plan to schedule Maggie for a regular cleaning once a month and will enjoy the benefits of a clean house. I highly recommend Maggie, but will offer one token of advice. She runs a small business so plan ahead and give yourself at least two to three weeks before scheduling your first appointment. Don't expect to call her a day ahead of time and expect her at your door the next day. However, do call her because nothing beats a clean house! read more

I am not a very messy human, but my mother is coming into town this weekend and she sees dust from a mile away. To avoid a potential argument, I wanted to make sure that my place was immaculate. I did my due diligence on yelp and was shocked to find a cleaning service with 5 stars! I read each review then gave Maggie a call. She made the whole process incredibly easy and I fell in love with her cute blog about cleaning- I mean, she CLEARLY loves her work! I was a little nervous considering I wasn't going to be home to meet her staff the first time they ever came to my place but my doormen told me they left after 2 hours and when I came home it was like a breath of fresh air! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Well, I tried her service and the first time, they came very late, one hour later. Then when her mother came, it was OK but after that , everytime, she kept calling to postpone and change the date and time. The cleaning was OK but it did not seem like a reliable service. Last time I heard from her, she was supposed to call me back.. and I never heard from.. I guess she did not need the business!! read more

Yelp connects people...to places, events, and if you are very lucky...A Very Awesome Cleaning Professional! Yay, thank goodness for the help of Yelp! After asking my fellow yelpers for cleaning lady suggestions Jenny Z. came through and offered a great review of Maggie. My house is now clean, smells great, and I have no worries about having another person clean my house. Maggie is professional, calls if she has any concerns, and was able to work my house into her schedule on days that worked with my schedule. Try out Maggie's Super Awesome Cleaning Services - recommend her to your friends, kick that other impersonal service you have been using to the curb; with Maggie you will not be disappointed. read more

I really, really like the people behind this service. Maggie and her team are very nice, but I am afraid, they are not great. I used them around 4 times to clean our home and kept hoping they would get better. I would ask them to do a few things, and they just weren't able to do them. Our house is not easy because we have two kids and a dog and a cat, but somehow two people were always finished in under 2 hours! That's a pretty hefty hourly rate and they just weren't able to dust every spot, move chairs (not everytime -- but sometimes would be nice) or clean throw pillows. I wanted to love them because they were always on time, and so sweet. I am not sure if they are paid by the job, but we have had people clean our home for years, and no team has every finished in under two hours. Oh well, what I can say? I tried. Still looking for a great service! Just a follow up on the comment from Maggie below. I did follow up with you and I did voice my concerns with you, and you said that perhaps it wasn't a good fit. Maybe you don't remember. read more

Maggie has been cleaning my apartment for a few months now and I couldn't be happier with the work that she does. I have a one bedroom apartment in Lincoln Park that she cleans every 2 weeks for a very reasonable rate. I'm frequently home when she comes which is great because she is so friendly and a joy to be around. We always end up chatting! But, I would feel completely comfortable leaving her there alone and/or giving her a set of my keys. She is honest and sincere. When she leaves my place, my bathroom sparkles and there isn't an ounce of dust to be found! She is so thorough, she even cleans my celing fans! I highly recommend Maggie to anyone who is too busy or just doesn't like to clean. What a gem! read more

Maggie is great. She's been cleaning my home for a couple of months now, and her work is always good. She asks if I am completely satisfied, and if I'm not, she makes it right. That's all one can ask. Her rates are competitive too. Recommended! read more

We decided to try out Maggie's Super Awesome Cleaning service based on the great reviews she has received and we were not disappointed. Maggie quickly responded to my request for a quote and came out to our house on the same day. She typically cleans condos, but brought her mother with and explained that she would be handling the cleaning of the house with one other woman. She asked if that was okay with us and we were fine with that. Her mother is as pleasant and professional as Maggie and has many years of experience cleaning. They come to our house every other week and do an exceptional job. When they finish, the house looks and smells great and you would never know we have two big dirty dogs. We could not be happier. read more

I called Maggie based on the other reviews I'd seen listed here, and she was exactly as everyone described - friendly, easy to communicate with and good at her job. Maggie has only cleaned my condo once so far, but I was thrilled with her work and how quickly she was able to get everything done. I'm looking forward to her cleaning my place regularly. Thanks, Maggie! read more

Maggie is truly awesome!! I decided to take the plunge and hire a cleaning service after one too many crabby Saturday mornings wasted trying to clean our condo myself. I had a bad experience with another company and decided to try Maggie based on the great reviews. I am SO happy I did! The ladies do a wonderful job. It is such a pleasure coming home Friday after work to a sparkly clean condo. I was a bit anxious about giving my keys to essentially a complete stranger, but there have been absolutely no issues and the convenience is totally worth it. Maggie is super responsive and easy to get hold of via text message or e-mail. I recently wanted to add a week (I usually have the ladies come every other week) and Maggie texted me back literally within 2 minutes letting me know that they would accommodate me. They bring all their own supplies (except a vacuum) which is really nice. I don't believe they do laundry but with all the extra free time you will have once you don't have to clean, you will have plenty of time to do that yourself! I highly recommend checking Maggie out, you will not be sorry! read more

Maggie's Super Awesome Cleaning Service Rocks! So here is the story, I needed my place cleaned before and after thanksgiving as not only were my parents visiting from out of town, my in laws would also be staying with us. Maggie's first available appointment for me (I called pretty last minute) was not until after thanksgiving. So I set that appointment with her and called another cleaning service to take care of the before thanksgiving cleaning. I planned to compare them and hoped to begin a regular cleaning appointment with which ever service was better. Maggie won hands down. Her service was VERY thorough, they moved all the furniture and cleaned under everything, and on top of everything. They found dust balls that had been around since, I am sure, when we moved in. The place smells amazing and looks amazing. They were polite and attentive and very quick. I was home during both of the before and after thanksgiving cleanings, and I can promise you, Maggie's Super Awesome Cleaning was way more thorough. I certainly recommend them to anyone who wants a thorough cleaning job. The prices are very competitive and Maggie was easy to work with when setting up the appointment. I hope to become a regular customer of Maggie's Thanks Maggie! read more

well for some reason, yelp didn't let me leave my post on here long enough to make my opinion stick so here is my second review... Maggie's employees were incredibly thorough, dependable and overall awesome to be around, not to mention she is one of the most personable and cool business owners I have ever personally interacted with. I will use Maggie's service ANYTIME I need a quick clean or a heavy job and I'll reccomend her to anyone looking for the same. Thanks again Maggie! -Jimmy read more

I'm a super busy grad student and cleaning is a great way to avoid working on projects, so I caved and called Maggie after reading the reviews here. She came out and toured my apartment. She took the time to explain that they use all green products and that they are especially friendly for animals (I have a cat and 2 dogs). She explained that the first two times they would do more of a deep clean to get my place where they want it, which was great. Those first two times Maggie and her mom came out themselves and did a fantastic job. Maggie has a great attention to detail - I could actually tell which rooms she'd done because everything was put back exactly as I'd left it, but had obviously been cleaned, even down to the special things I have set up for my elderly cat. Since then, she has sent a couple of different teams and everything has been very clean, with the exception of one time that someone different cleaned my place. However, Maggie is very receptive and responsive to feedback, positive and negative, and when I told her of the less than stellar cleaning I'd had, she apologized and offered some extra services for the next time, which I appreciated. I'm usually not home when her girls come, but was one time when they showed up, and they were very pleasant and nice. While I usually make sure there are no dishes or anything around, on the few occasions that there have been a glass or two, they always wash them and leave them neatly on the counter, which I didn't expect them to do. While some may see having a cleaning service as an indulgence, it has been a huge help and takes one thing off my way over-full plate! read more

I have been using Margaret from Super Awesome Home Cleaning for a little over a year now to clean my condo every couple weeks. I have a consistently good clean and trust her completely in my home. Maggie, the owner, is also easy to work with via email and phone for any of my requests and scheduling needs. I have tried a number of cleaning services and been disappointed many times, but Margaret and Maggie have not let me down. read more

As a super busy professional who travels, I rely on Maggie's wonderful cleaning team to keep my 2bd/2ba downtown condo in tip-top shape. I'm a slight neat freak. Anita is my regular cleaner and she's terrific. I've been a client of Maggie's for several years and have had different crews, but everyone has been professional and detail-oriented. I highly recommend Maggie for your cleaning needs. Now if only I can get them to clean my 60 gallon saltwater aquarium too! read more

Maggie has been cleaning my house for over a year now and her staff is just wonderful! Always on time, professional, and my husband and I always get a ton of compliments on how nice our house looks. It's nice to come home after work and see my sink gleaming!! read more

Maggie's crew, Marta and a partner, have been cleaning our apartment for a few months now. They get our floors and surfaces cleaner than we ever could. We are so grateful for the two days per month they come to clean our place. True, I could, but it's never been as good as they have. They have been responsive, sensitive to our desires and respectful. I highly recommend this company. They rock! read more

Today we had this cleaning service come for the first time. I'm pretty amazed at the amount of cleaning the woman, Anita, got done in 2 hours and for a very reasonable price. She did everything I had asked of her and every thing looked great when she left. I'd highly recommend this cleaning service. read more

Maggie's service was always excellent. They worked quickly, thoroughly, and had flexible schedules, which was important to us. They were also very trustworthy, which is rare but essential. I highly recommend them! read more

We have been using Maggie's team for going on two years now on a bi-weekly cleaning. They do an awesome job and leave the house just how I would clean it. I love that they do deep cleans each week. They do a fantastic job on the bathrooms and kitchen which are the two rooms I don't like to clean myself. There pricing is reasonable and appropriate for the level of job completed. I also appreciate the flexibility they have offered me in the past when I needed to switch days. read more

I assume these guys are super busy as I called several times and left a voicemail to never hear back. Even their VM says they only take subscription based customers but after the first no call back I was afraid if they can even provide decent customer service. In any case, after 2 weeks or waiting (and I think 3 calls) we went with another service. read more

That's is too bad that they never answered my phone calls, and neither returned the 4 voice mails I left.

Started using Maggie's Services when I was single living in Roscoe Village a few years ago....and now we use her in my husband's condo that I moved into about a year ago! They are reliable, they do an AWESOME job, and I believe it is good value for the money. They make every other Tuesday my favorite days of the month -- there's nothing better than coming home to a sparkling clean house! read more

I called Maggie twice, several days apart, but never received a call back. (This was well before the blizzard, so that wasn't a factor.) Her message said she was only taking calls for regular cleanings--I explained that's what I was looking for, gave her a description of my home and my call back number. (Did this both times.) Never heard back. If she didn't have space in her schedule, I would have understood. But not calling back wasn't good customer service. read more

After initially having a really difficult time reaching Maggie to set up our first consultation, we cannot be happier with how things have panned out since we hired her service. Our house has never been cleaner and the rate Maggie charges is very reasonable. Her crews stay until the job is done, all for a very reasonable fixed rate. In fact, after just two visits by her crew, we have already referred her service to some of our neighbors looking for a weekly or bi-weekly cleaning service. read more

Maggie's mom and other women have been cleaning our 3BR townhouse. They do a fantastic job, which I really appreciate, being a working mom. Very friendly. Only minor complaint is the timing was not totally reliable (we were trying to schedule around my daughter's nap) - but I think that's been addressed well. read more
