We paid for our backup battery in December 2020. We still do not have it. PG&E is turning off the power for the second time...in 90+ weather for repairs. No one, Caleb, John Lewis, Carlos, Pedro Velasquez WILL NOT RETURN CALLS, emails or text messages. On December 21, 2020, PG&E sent the application for a final inspection to SunStor in order to complete our project, which by the way, has been paid in full, There were, of course, errors on the application, i.e. wrong address by SunStor. PG&E returned the application on December 24, 2020. As of today, SunStor has not return a corrected application. We are now in May. PLEASE IF YOU ARE CONTEMPLATING GETTING SOLAR...DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. We will be going to Sacramento this week to file complaints to with the CSLB and the BBB. This is just a brief, partial description of my experience with this place. It would take a book to relay the nightmare that started for me Feb 14,2020 with Jeffery Rivera and is unresolved to this day. From delays to having to make payments to two different finance companies + my utility payment all at the same time, contractors showing up without notice to no one showing up after giving notice. Delays being blamed on the city only for me to contact the city to shed light on the inaccuracies of those claims. It took 17 months before my solar was turned on (the first 5 I did not allow it to start due to having new roof put on, although when that was done they were not at all ready to start and didn't even have panels on until Oct 3, 2020)They turned it on once prior to that and the city shut it off and locked it because they did not have approval. They failed multiple inspections by the city. Still making payments all this time for my system + $10k that was supposed to go to me from the loan. Communication terrible except for the representative, Sonia, that told me if I was going to hold them to what they said they were going to do my expectations were too high. They told me they would reimburse me the payments I made while not having the advantages of my system, the $10k that was part of my loan added by Joshua Orozco to be paid to me or the Goal Zero Portable Solar Generator I was promised at signing when the city granted permission to operate. That happened June 7,2021. I heard from no one until I pursued them and was told I would be taken care of by the end of July 2021 with no reasoning for the delay. That came and went and now no one will even return a call concerning the $12k + of my money they are holding. All through this process I would periodically be pawned off on someone new who would promise to fix everything (now seems to have been a stall tactic). I even had one lady (Margaret) call me the next day and tell me she lost sleep feeling so bad about my situation and was going to get it straightened out. (she never called or returned a call after that). I was warned early on that I should not do business with Sunstor and I chose to give them the benefit of the doubt. Allen your Customer Service Guys has sent many un-answered emails requesting hard dates for completion here.. I have his text here.. Last was just days ago.. The Better Business Bureau is up your Butts as well to finish the installation properly and up to code.. No copy of Permit has ever been posted on my Property... County Inspector came and went without any approval 2 months ago........... I contracted for a $60k System installed and serviced by April of last year.... And the System is not completed or legal by my home owner insurance to date... I have two open trenchs left on my yard for months... Your Teamleaders are now haggling that two trees already agreed to be removed in January 2020 are no longer There responsibility as this is not in the Contract.... Let alone the huge costs to me from Hot Summer to these Cold Winter days from my Power Bills ranging from $480 to $780 Plus.. I just want this done and correct as I was promised and signed up for... I did not want to even be here commenting.. But I will add more later if things do not get fixed.. We've been promised reimbursement for payments made....that hasn't happened. We completed our part of a contract signed by both parties in that they have been paid. what Rob Z said I am experiencing. They have been paid via Pace funding 35000 and haven't installed the meter tie in. Same problem the panels are on the roof but no tie in to the meter. I am on Redding City electric and I cannot find any evidence of licensing. BEWARE... Joe at 530-965-1417 does not respond to my messages and Jeff Rivera the energy consultant at 530-566-2025 does not respond either. The contract began in April of 2021. Numerous broken promises and I am seeking a different contractor to get the job done. What they have done is elder abuse as my wife and I are over 80 and the frustration and grief they have caused us is insurmountable. If there is a Better business bureau they should be reported. If there is a God they should answer to him or her. If there is anyone that can help me deal with Pace funding which paid them and the solar is still not connected HELP! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! My experience started back in 10/2019. I signed contracts and was told we would have our system up and running within a month. After several delays due to what we were told was holdup with the city, and them telling us at the last minute that we needed a new MPU (which we were told the one we had already would be fine) everything was filed and ready to go. Our system was installed at the end of December 2019, but not working. They said all they needed was for someone to come out and give approval and we would be up and running. They was pushed off several times. I was concerned about having to pay 2 bills since we were still paying PG&E, but our system wasn't working. We were told over and over again that we would NEVER pay 2 bills they said we wouldn't have to start paying until everything was up and running. Then our first payment was deducted in January. We let our rep know and were reimbursed for it. I followed up every week asking when our system would be inspected and ready to go. We were told any day. a couple of months go by and we had to pay the next PG&E AND Solar bills ourselves, which put a huge strain on our finances (If you know anything about Bakersfield summers, you would understand why). We reminded them over and over that we were promised that we would never pay a double bill. we couldn't afford it. Then COVID hit. we were put on the back burner for MONTHS. then finally (after I knew they were back to work), we got in touch with Pedro (VP of Sales) who said he knew all about our situation and would take care of us. He would make sure that our system got hooked up and we would be reimbursed for all of our money that we were out. By this time, we still hadn't received the MPU we paid for and our solar box still wasn't installed. when we were on the phone with him, he even had the nerve to tell us that we are "lucky that they are still in business" due to covid. I was livid. He was using that as an excuse when I knew that even during covid, they were opening new locations and buying new fleets of trucks, but couldn't finish my system or help me pay the bills that were piling up. I was having to choose which bills to "float" so I could pay PG&E and solar so I wouldn't get a lien put on my house. Finally they got contractors out to install our MPU. The contractors were hit and miss. Our system was finally up and running in March of 2021. I am still paying off my PG&E (I had to put a huge portion of it on a payment plan). At one point they told us that they would not be paying all of our double bills because they were only responsible for a "percentage" of what we paid, which was news to us. That was NEVER communicated to us prior. Trust me when I say, if these people don't want to deal with you, they wont. I have sent dozens of emails, phone calls, vmails, complaints with the CSLB and their bond (funny enough, once things were moving forward with the CSLB is when they were finally available to send out contractors). They are based up north, so they take care of their own "backyard" first. All the contractors they hire are from the bay area, that drive down the day of. Sometimes they make it, sometimes they don't. The last email I received was in August saying they were doing some "restructuring" and they would take care of us soon. I followed up today and have yet to hear back, but my next step is to go to court and to re-file against their bond. I'm with the rest of you. I contracted in August of 2020. Took months to get my panels installed. Paid for the back up battery and since I hadn't received it, last month I requested a refund for the battery. Joshua asked if I would remove my negative reviews if I got the refund. I was promised a check would be mailed on June 2nd. Still no check and it's the 18th. Was told they had come across some unexpected difficulties and hadn't been able to mail the check. Not surprised, probably a bunch of other people taking them to small claims court. Yesterday I received a voicemail saying they wanted to make an appointment to send someone out on the 23rd. Why in the world do they think I'd want anyone to come back to my house now unless they have a check in hand to deliver to me??? They have the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. 32 panels were installed on April 6th and they said they would be back at a later date and finish the install. They came back on April 12th and finished the install. They told me they installed the remainder of the panels and tested the system and told me everything was fine and that someone would contact me about turning it on. That is the last I have heard from Sunstor except with multiple phone calls back and forth to Allan trying to find out what is going on. All I am told is that someone will contact me in a few days but that never happens. I reported the problem to the Better Business Bureau on Oct 5th. Sunstor responded to my complaint and then called me on Oct 14th and told me they would immediately get my solar running. They needed to see my electrical panel so I sent them photos to speed things up. I have since not heard from them and they are ignoring text messages. They did respond to the BBB on Oct 14th. I rejected their solution as I wanted to wait until my solar was up and running. It now appears that they are ignoring the BBB as they did not respond to my rejection. read more

Signed our contract with them in January 2021 and got a loan for 70 grand to get the solar through them its September and I barely got a link to our Enphase app to track our solar production and it tells me there is a system error. The contractors number that is listed on the PGE says "line busy" its not even a normal busy signal, their customer service line listed on the website and my Enphase app goes straight to voicemail and it doesn't even have a message as to who I am calling. Fair warning: DO NOT contract with this company, you will regret it. I urge you to take heed to all the negative reviews and you should be skeptical of the positive reviews, which seem implausible. This company is unbelievably horrible. Lies, deception and failure to perform. They could only be this bad purposefully. They absolutely refuse to communicate, and when they do finally respond they lie and they mislead us. We contracted with SunStor at the end of April. It's nearly September and all they have accomplished has been to send out a sub-contracted roofer, which they assured us numerous times they would do the roofing in house. They lied and said they used this particular roofer hundreds of times, but the roofer told us he had never worked for them. Right up to the day the roofer showed up they were telling us they would send an in-house roofer, not a sub. Shame on me for not reading the contract more closely, they take a 40% payment as a progress payment, and they take that payment when all they have done is pull the permit, which is administrative work only. They do that immediately to get your money, and then they put on the extremely high pressure to get that check, and as soon as you give them the check they no longer return phone calls or emails or text messages. All the lines go silent. Four months later there is absolutely no indication that they are going to perform the work. If you search for their name the Google reviews immediately pop up in the sidebar, showing the great average rating. They had only a handful of reviews prior to 7 months ago, with a lot of them being negative. Then suddenly 67 five-star reviews. I find it difficult to believe that customers suddenly started reviewing in droves over a 2-month period, and all those generic reviews are completely contrary to my experience. Do NOT contract with this company. They're management and contract performance standards are the lowest of any organization I have ever worked with in my entire life. I asked for the contract to be canceled and our money refunded over a month ago and thus far there has been almost no communication and no indication that they will ever refund our money. read more
