He and two assistants installed an outlet, ran a new wire for a circuit through the attic, and installed an EV charger in about 2 hours. On top of that Charles handled the permitting and met with the inspector to ensure all the work passed inspection. If I have more electrical work, Jackson Electric will be my first call.

Five stars isn't enough!! We collected quotes from six local companies, ranging from the big names…read morein town to midsize companies and even small independent electricians. The quote from Jackson Electric fell right in the middle. But what set them apart and made our decision crystal clear was the thoroughness of their quote. Charles not only answered all of my questions and eased my concerns, but he also provided a very detailed quote that listed each item in detail for the work that would be completed. The quote included absolutely all of our requests to a T. Charles had great communication, was speedy at scheduling all of the needed permits and appointments, and kept us informed the whole time from start to finish. Charles and his team completed a full rewire of our 1950s cloth-wired home and upgraded our panel from an old XO 100-amp panel to a new 200-amp panel. As first-time homeowners, we were very nervous about this big project, but we knew our home was a huge fire risk with the old wiring. Charles set all of our worries at ease. His team completed the job a day earlier than promised and cleaned up very nicely. Charles also came back out to help us troubleshoot a concern after the project was complete, free of charge. My wife, our kids, and I can now sleep soundly at night knowing that our home's electrical is no longer a risk. Charles and his team went above and beyond for our project. This is a company that truly takes passion in the work that they do! I absolutely 100% recommend Charles Jackson and his team for any electrical needs that you may have.

I have been doing all of my company and personal business at Dan's Electrical Supply, both in…read more Chico and in Oroville (mostly in Oroville because I live there) for several years. Both locations are always very helpful. If they don't have what I need, they can usually get it within at least a day or two, or, at most, a reasonable amount of time. On those rare occasions that I don't know what it is I need or how to solve a problem, they are always glad to help identify a part or suggest a solution. If I am too vague about what I want or I have omitted information about what I need, they always ask questions to make sure I get the right part. Both locations are very convenient for me because I do most of my work in the Chico-Oroville-Paradise area.

At the Oroville location: One customer had no mask. The guy at the counter was not very good at…read morecustomer service. Sort of a pompous know-it-all. We didn't seem to communicate very well. I asked a question and he'd give me an answer for a different question (that I wasn't asking). I felt like he was he was making me wrong, sort of a scolding tone, whiny attitude, for me not knowing much about electricity (which is true, I don't know much about electrical stuff) and he was too argumentative for my liking so, I left and will take my business elsewhere. I'm rebuilding from the Camp Fire and need to wire a house, an ag' bdlg. and two other out bldgs. so that's a chunk of change that Dan's in Oroville won't see from me. On an earlier visit, at the Chico location: A different story there. The guy at the counter was great, very helpful, I bought a ton of stuff there. 5 stars for the Chico location and 2 stars for the Oroville location. Oroville seemed to have a lot items and if you know exactly what you want, or you're an electrical contractor you may not notice the customer service. If you're looking for good customer service: I didn't find it at the Oroville location, so 2 stars. I've also had very good customer service from Ozzie at Lowe's electrical dept. in Chico.
