I highly recommend this company. Had rollers replaced on two 40 year old sliding doors that were extremely difficult to open. Sebastian was very professional, thorough, honest and courteous. He even showed me issues with corrosion on one track and helped fix it (at no additional cost) without having to replace the track. Now my doors open like brand new. Very reasonable prices, and also cleans up when they leave read more

I couldn't be happier with the service they provided. My old double-pane slider was difficult to open and close for years. I was concerned that it might need to be replaced. Sunshine came out and that just to replace the glass in the door would cost me over $1200, let alone a total replacement. I really appreciated their honesty. They said it only needed a repair and replaced the rollers. Now, it opens smooth as silk for about the quarter of the cost of just the glass replacement. Do yourself a favor and try to repair before even considering replacement. read more

Everything was just great! Sebastian was early, polite and explained everything. We can now open our 46 year old glass slider and screen with one finger (or blow on it really hard)......what a pleasure and a difference instead of huffing and puffing each. time. Thank you! read more

We hired Sebastian with Sunshine Sliding Door to repair a pocket door. He arrived on time, worked quickly, showed us what was broken inside the wall, what needed to be replaced and and he got it done. Works great! A few days later I had a sliding patio door that would not lock. He asked for a few pictures and was able to give me an estimate over the phone. He repaired the door the following day. He took the time to show me the faulty parts, what has to be fixed, and even had the supplies in his truck so repair could be done quickly, on the spot. Again he arrived on time, repaired the door, swept up and the charge was very reasonable. Great service, quality and value! read more

Sebastian Mateo who fixed my sliding glass door is GREAT. He did a fabulous job. The price is fair too.

Sebastian came out and fixed our 2 patio sliding doors in an efficient and prompt manner. Our doors were really hard to open, despite spraying lubricant on the tracks. It turns out the wheels at the bottom of the doors were rusted and damaged. He also explained how we should maintain the doors to avoid this problem in the future. Two thumbs up for Sebastian and his services! read more

Sebastian was absolutely wonderful! He and his helper fixed my huge very hard-to-open sliding glass door. We have lived with this impossible-to-slide door for years and now it feels like a whole new door. The absolute best workers I have seen. And reasonably priced too. Don't go anywhere else for your sliding door issues. Sebastian is very knowledgeable, fair, and hard working. Highly recommend! read more

Sebastian showed up on time to all appointments and responded quickly. However, everything else about this company was a disappointment. The price was way higher than I expected to pay. For $600 he just replaced some ball bearing tandem rollers and added a track cover. For some reason I thought he was replacing the track. Perhaps I misunderstood. He claimed we'd be able to open the door with one finger when he was done. It was easier to move but not like he made it out to be. I asked him if he could replace the screen door and he said it would be over $300. I opted not to. I chose him to work on my parents door since he was closest to their house and had good reviews. I remember asking him to clean the glass and make everything look nice. He agreed. When I checked on the work after he was done the glass was not clean. He says later that he doesn't do that. Shop around his rates are just too high. He said replacing my mom's 6ft sliding door was gonna be $2400! Outrageous. read more

Sebastian was very kind, professional, and knowledgeable. He fixed my sliding glass door's track and was done in a little over an hour. Definitely solid work. read more

This is the place to go if you have problems with your sliding glass door. Ours was so difficult to open it was almost frozen in place. Sebastian from Sunshine sliding Door arrived at our house on time and proceeded to repair our door. He replaced the rollers in the bottom of the door, but not only that, he cleaned the tracks, the frame and door jams so everything looks like new again. Very pleased with his work and it was fairly priced. read more

Terrible, Sabastin was agumeniive and totally unprepared to do the work. We called him to replace the weather stripping on our sliding glass door. In addition to the weather stripping he said we needed to we replace the rollers on our sliding door.. my wife said sure why not. My wife went to check on him. He had the door off and had already replaced the rollers and then told us he did not have the right size weather stripping and would have to order it and return. My wife and I were upset he did not tell us this before he replaced the rollers and we where going on vacation so we would have to wait for 2 weeks before he could come back. Now he expected to get paid in full and in cash!. He replaced the rollers and put the door back on when we noticed 3 spots on our door where the window tinting came off... He was totally rude and very aggressive and called us liars. He said he didn't do it and was going on and on for 10 minutes how god can strike him down if he was lying I walked away and let my wife deal with this crazy guy... we paid him in cash because he doesn't take credit cards.. and then tells us he has to order the weather stripping and will come back the next week... The door was opening and closing very nicely and when he came back he even showed me how well the door opened and closed. Then he took the door off and placed it on his work benchs. I asked him to be "Please be careful. Because the last time he managed to rub it off in a few small spots. Sebastian started to get very agitated and ask me to show him where on the door and we both saw 2-3 more place the he just rubbed off... He called me a liar once again and I just looked at him while I was fuming and he just ranted for 10 minutes or so... I had 2 choices 1- throw him out or, 2- let him finish and get out.. I picked number 2 and that was a big mistake.. he finished putting on the weather stripping and put the door back on and showed me how smoothly the door was sliding... I has a telephone call I had to take and when I got off the phone he shows me that the "tract" was broken and the door wouldn't closed. He then tells me the tract just broke but he didn't do it... I said it was working 5 minutes ago and now it is broken. He said he did not break and for $175 he would fix it. I told him to leave at that point. Now we have to get someone else to fix the track! This person should be avoided at all cost.... read more

Had a terrible experience with Sebastian who came to work. He was irritated and argumentative all the time and showed no respect what so ever towards a customer. Did fix the sliding door but don't think been talked down upon is what you'd like. There are so many options available- look around before you call them for service. I'm saving the details of the issues for now. read more

We had Sunshine Sliding Door fix our patio slider a few months ago. Sebastian did such an excellent job that when we recently needed a new screen repaired on a different door, we had him back to do the job. As before, he did a perfect job. He really is the best! He is so meticulous. He leaves the area cleaner than when he came. I would recommend him without hesitation. You will not be disappointed! read more

Sebastian is absolutely the best. I have been using his services for over 15 years. I trust him 100% to solve any door or track related issue at a reasonable cost. I've checked around and quotes from others are usually twice as much! When I think of Sebastian, I think of integrity. He is not out to make a quick buck and his work speaks for itself even many years later. He is clean, professional, and polite. Try him out. You will not be disappointed! read more

Thank you to Sebastian and his crew for repairing our sliding glass door and a pocket door which had been not working correctly since we bought the house. Both doors are well done. He provided a professional quote and explained what he would be doing. After parts were ordered, he scheduled the visit and performed all work. As a retired general contractor, it is always a pleasure to find trades people who can be trusted to perform their work in a professional and efficient manner. Sebastian is one of those people. Not only was he on time to our appointment, but he analyzed the problems with our 52 year old patio sliding glass door, and was able to repair it while he was here. His price was very reasonable and fair. He made the repairs efficiently and cleaned-up everything when finished. In fact, we decided to have him replace the old metal screen door, also. We will use him again as necessary and will be recommending him to friends and family. You can't go wrong using his service. He is truly a professional. read more

Saw the great reviews and left a message. Sebastian called back and we set a date at my Moms place in Escondido. The door was very old and did not slide well at all. He disassembled both big doors, cleaned all tracks, added double roller tracks and reassembled the door. He saw the lock was broken and the doors would bind at the center. He replaced the lock and spent about an hour discovering some extra silicone installation that was causing the binding problem. He would not accept a marginal job and did the whole list to correct the problems. He was personable and my mom played the piano for him for entertainment! What a fine fellow to do business with. Thank You, Sebastian! read more

Sebastian is GREAT! He first adjusted all of our over-sized sliding doors and now they slide very easily and securely. Next he installed some cat screens on our screen doors which look nice, makes the doors more sturdy and keeps our cats off the screen door. He spent extra time making sure that each door sat even and slid well. I totally recommend him!! read more

I recently had to replace my sliding glass door because the rain was leaking underneath the track and into my kitchen. Sebastian was friendly, professional, and communicative throughout the entire process. He kept me updated while the new door was being made, and was thorough during the installation process to ensure I would have a perfect seal on the new door. I definitely recommend Sebastian and look forward to working with him in the future. read more

Sebastian did a really wonderful job fixing our glass sliding door! He came by and gave us an estimate that was lower than the competition which was really appreciated. He explained very carefully and clearly on what repairs he would recommend to fix the problem for the long term. His suggestions turned out to be correct as the door now operates far better than ever expected! It now slides as if it were completely brand new! He also took the time to show us how to properly maintain the sliding door and track to prevent any future issues. I highly recommend Sebastian for any sliding glass door repair work needed as I will recommend him to any family or friends have similar issues with their homes. read more

My sliding glass door needed repair. I called Sunshine Sliding Door because I like doing business where i live in Escondido. Sebastian came to my house and gave me a price. I was not disappointed. Sebastian did an excellent job. Took him about 3 hrs. To complete the job and my sliding door is working better than ever. In fact, I don't think it ever worked that as well as it does now. Thank you Sebastian for a job well done. I would recommend Sunshine Sliding Door to anyone. To top it off, Sebastian is a real nice guy. read more

Sebastian did an amazing job at repairing our family room sliding glass door at a very reasonable price. Our contractor told us several years ago that the door was old ( 28 years), and parts could not be acquired to repair the door, which was sliding very poorly. I am small and could only push the door open with moderate effort. I was told to call Sebastian at Sunshine Sliding Door (by a screen company) to have him evaluate the door for repair before I invested in a new door. Since a new door (oversized in height) would very costly to replace, I finally decided to try Sebastian first. He evaluated, ordered parts for the track, returned one week later, took the door completely off, and fully restored the track. You can now open it, just give it a small push, and it slides better than a new door!!!! I think the key to this success story is to have found someone who really knows doors well, and has made a business out repairing something very specific!!! He s a true expert on sliding glass doors. Do yourself a favor (as I did) and call him before replacing your sliding glass door. Thanks you, Sebastian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ann and Paul read more

Have been using Sebastian for years. Good quality and great service!

Sebastian is great! He came out to give us a free estimate about replacing the bottom track on the sliding glass door. I left him a message and he called me back in about 10 minutes and was able to accommodate my request as to when to come for the estimate. He came out a few days later, on time, very pleasant and professional, and provided the estimate -- less than $1,000 to replace the track on my over-sized sliding glass door that is about 41 years old. I paid him about half as a deposit, and we scheduled for him to come back in about two weeks (since he had to order the track and wait for it to come in). He arrived on time, completed the job in about six hours as estimated, and as a bonus, he was not at all fazed or concerned about my two 90-pound dogs! And I paid him with a check, no issues there. Very nice guy, definitely knows what he is doing, and saved me a ton of money in that I didn't have to replace the whole door. The door glides so easily now on the new track, it almost moves itself. Thank you, Sebastian! read more
