I immediately felt safe, you have to put your code in multiple times the sense of security is so much better compared to the last place. There is good lighting, they have elevators, it's clean. The staff was nice Yamelis had great customer service she told me all of the important information and answered all of my questions. She was great! I would definitely recommend! It's such a difference coming here and I'm so happy I switched over.

Most of the places up by us in the Woodbury-Waterbury area looked sketchy, were in possible flood zones, or were dirty...so we went south, back to our old neighborhood, to check out CubeSmart in Shelton...which we had passed by for many years. This place is SO CLEAN! We chose a 10x20 climate-controlled unit and are very pleased so far. Everything is very secure and it doesn't feel like walking into a horror movie. Ha ha. The staff has been very helpful and accommodating, and when we had some minor drama with the movers, they assured me that everything we were promised from them would go as planned...and it did. They genuinely cared about our situation and we appreciate it very much. Every time we walk into the office, we are greeted with a smile. We highly recommend this location.

This is an old warehouse that has been converted to a no-frills storage joint, and it brings with it some interesting challenges. The building itself is old and you can drive by it several times with ease if you aren't keeping your eyes peeled. There is an old "loading dock" around back that is in a shared parking lot and is a tight squeeze, only able to handle one truck at a time. The elevator is an old gated freight elevator that is surprisingly difficult to operate and most of the time does not stop level with the floors unless you manually "manipulate" it by activating the emergency stop features. However, the customer service team is extremely helpful and cares about having your needs met. The facility is big and it can be quite a walk from the elevator to your actual storage space. Bottom line: don't expect a Westy's. It works if you are looking for a cheap place to stash extra boxes and tinkets, however I recommend you take your furniture and big ticket items elsewhere.

Who's heard of an energy surcharge? And why do I have to pay it? Who knows. Insurance - they charge an extra $12 insurance for "my protection" and will only take it off when I send my renters / house insurance. Why does it matter? If I don't have insurance I lost my stuff. If I have insurance and something happens, my insurance company will still handle the insurance, whether or not I showed you a copy of my insurance. My insurance on my personal items should not matter. It's just another way for them to charge extra fees and make it difficult for you to remove fees. If there's a way for them to rip you off, they will.

Moving day can be stressful and not having a well planned estimate will cause issues…read more We were quoted $1,300 - $1500 for two men and a half day. We were asked to send pictures of all our items so they can fine-tune the estimate and make sure they are properly prepared to meet the customers' needs. We followed their request and sent pictures of EVERY item to be moved. Subsequent to sending the pictures the estimator said that after reviewing the photos he would like to add an additional man and increase the time based on his review of the photos. Their proposal was increased slightly ($1,500 - $1,700) (we had no issues with the request), and we awaited their arrival on moving day. Moving day came the workers on the truck were very nice. However mid-way through moving things went south fast. The workers broke an expensive glass bar cart and called to inform their home office. The original estimator then called to say we had more stuff than anticipated and the truck was full. The stuff was exactly what was in the one dozen photos sent two weeks prior to the move. These photos contained all the furniture and all of boxes that we had packed for the move. He then proceeded to state that we "didn't inform them there were boxes to move" (a complete lie). We calmly said two of the pictures sent to you (which the workers on site actually had on their cell phones) have a stack of boxes in the family room and another from the garage. He said well, "people move their boxes themselves sometimes'". Our response was simply questioning why we would have sent the pictures, at their request, if we intended to move them on our own. After arriving at 11:05 and deciding they were done at 5:30 sharp, the movers left over 20% of the remaining contents. They said they needed to move what they have in the truck and "they would come back the next day", but we would be getting another quote for the remaining move. When I questioned the additional quote the gentleman from the home office then revised it talk track to say he would not be able to insure he could come back tomorrow (Saturday, knowing the house was being sold) and stated and he would do it in 3 days (past the date of the house being sold) but the quote had to be signed to get on a possible schedule. He carried on saying "couldn't disrupt his clients already on tomorrows schedule". I guess its OK to disrupt a client by leaving 20% of the job behind. His quote for completing the move arrived the next day and the move would now be almost double the original price! Needless to say we quickly found an honest and reputable company for less than 1/2 of the additional quote from Two Movers. Two days later they sent a final bill for $800.00 more than his revised estimate, bringing the total moving cost to more than twice their original estimated when added to the additional mover we had to hire. We informed them of their error in number of hours billed, and reminded them they didn't complete the job, and that they broke the bar cart. Their response was that the bar cart isn't covered as they were not specifically informed of it in the move list, but they would give me $50.00 for it even though it was included in the pictures we had sent which prompted them to increase the original estimate. They said any items not specifically "written" on the contact were not their liability! The reality is they received pictures of all the items being moved, they double checked those photos well enough to increase the estimate to include an additional man. While we hope for a fair resolution that accurately accounts for actual hours worked and the damage to the property they caused, we have so far not heard back from them revising their billing or received any apology for the distasteful experience Update : The owner called apologized for the stress and miscommunications and we settled on a fair amount for the work they did The owner was very nice and concerned about our experience and perception of his office staff because it's not what the majority of his customers experience according to him My advice ask a lot of questions and list as many of your bigger or more expensive/delicate items upfront so you can openly discuss how they will be handled. Ask about travel timing billing and supplemental insurance for your property

I immediately pulled up Google and started calling every company advertising emergency service. After leaving message after message, I finally reached a company that wasn't familiar with my equipment but highly recommended Gary. Feeling pretty discouraged at that point, I called the number--and was relieved to reach an actual person who listened with empathy, gathered the details, and relayed everything to Gary. Despite being at a family game, Gary came out that night, diagnosed the issue, and gave us guidance on how to keep our pipes from freezing overnight. Early the next morning, I received an update that the needed part had been found. Within an hour, a team arrived and repaired the system. Given the forecast--temperatures staying below freezing for the next 10 days, 10-20 inches of snow across the region, and nearly 200 million people under a winter storm warning--there could not have been a worse time to lose heat. Gary and his team had never met us before, yet they treated us like family from the moment we called. It goes without saying that we will be customers for life. Thank you again to Gary and his entire team. They have earned our highest recommendations and saved our house.

And arrived promptly at 1:01!!! Both plumbers were very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. After a quick look, they were able to ascertain the issue with the lack of hot water. As they didn't have the part in their truck, they left to go back to their office to get one. And as such, they were back within half an hour, part in hand, and able to complete the job. What service! Highly recommended.

I worked with Geraldine for the initial virtual walkthrough to get an estimate of the costs. She was amazing. They have a local moving company in San Diego that they work with. On moving day, the movers came and picked up our stuff and put them into 4 wooded crate containers. We opted for the crate containers because we needed to put our stuff in storage while we shopped for a house in CT. They drove our stuff out to Newtown, CT where they put our items in storage. From the on, I worked with Kyla on billing and let her know when we were ready to have our items delivered to the new house (about 2-3 months later). We paid for a portion of the bill upon pickup of our items and then the remainder upon delivery. We also paid a monthly fee for few months of storage. The overall communication with the company has excellent. The movers on both sides were great. Roberto, our lead delivery person (2 guys) that delivered our items were great as well. They were quick and asked to make sure where things should go. Absolutely recommend for local and long distance moves! They made it much easier to move cross country!

The 20' unit we rented was perfect. The driveway drop off locations were perfect. I spoke with 2 of the drivers on the phone and met one for the final pickup just now (at 7:15am. Nice! When Tom says he'll have it picked up first thing ... he ain't kiddin!). Everyone I spoke with or met is super nice & friendly. Makes a difference when you're having to deal with all the stresses of moving. Oh. The pod itself! Probably shouldn't leave that out of the review. The pod was great too. Tons of rain (I'm talkin torrential downpours) while we had it and not a drop inside the thing. Use this company. Excellent customer service, great product & reasonable prices. A trifecta. I looked online and came across Southbury self storage. Their website was so simple and direct that I didn't believe it. There was a sale on unit rentals when I was inquiring and it was a much more reasonable pricing than I'd seen elsewhere. I called and spoke to Paul and then Rob. Anytime you call you get an answering service where they call you back after you leave a message or someone picks up right away. I've experienced both and they are prompt about communicating. Paul and Rob are also very nice. You can literally set up an account, rent a unit, and access your stuff without dealing with anyone. The parking lot is well lit as is the facility itself. They provide dollies, carts, and such to move your items. They also have a broom and pail for cleaning up any mess you've creates while moving. If you are looking for a private, safe, clean facility that is monitored without being intrusive, this is your sign to go for it. My items were retrieved at the end of the rental and wete perfectly intact and in the same condition they were left. I've no complaints and can't refer them enough.
