Field View Farm is a dairy farm and farm machinery manufacturer that sells milk, ice cream, corn on the cob, eggs, and farm machinery. The business has been operational since 1639, making it one of the oldest companies in the United States. I have always passed this farm for many years and I decided to buy some corn for Labor Day. Great milk but very pricy I mean $9 for a gallon of milk is awfully high. The ice cream is nothing is write about there so many other places with a way better selection and taste. The honey is delish but I'm not sure why they refrigerate it ? Wish the eggs were more reasonable in price as well read more

We started coming to the farm in 2020 for milk and eggs rather than visiting the supermarket. They sell pasteurized and raw milk made here at the farm. They also carry jumbo eggs from Soffer Farms which is located in Branford. During the growing season you may come across other vegetables on sale as well. At some point they were selling ice cream too but sadly that operation was discontinued for now. Farmer Rick has greeted us several times during our visits and last week he invited me into the barn to get a better view of the cows. I was delighted to see that the animals were very interested to see what we were up to. They all seemed pretty happy in there. There were many cows, several calfs that were just months old, some geese, ducks and a horse names Ex. Sometimes they sell out of the milk but usually are restocked in a day or two. My children and I stop here from time to time to grab fresh raw milk and occasionally eggs or corn! We have had nothing but positive experiences and my children love to visit the cows and see where their milk actually comes from! We try to support local farms & small businesses when we can... vote with your dollar! I've been coming to this farm since I was born... back then they had cookies, cheese, ice cream. I Literally got chased down the driveway by a young female employee yelling STOP, in an apron asking if we stole milk. We stopped on our way back from the mall, and went to see if the farm stand had 1/2 & 1/2, cream, or pasteurized milk. In the coolers they only had raw, which unfortunately for health reasons isn't safe for me to drink. Completely uncalled for how she reacted basically blaming me for stealing, I told her to check her cameras.... We weren't in the mood for ice cream, literally just stopped for dairy and had the most unacceptable and unbelievable experience I've ever had anywhere. Wow.... I'm just speechless. The Icecream here is incredible. It's freshly made from the fresh pasteurized milk. The people and owner are very nice and the milk there is delicious. Even though we have to boil the milk ourselves, I always come here for the raw milk. The animals are very nice aswell. 10/10 would recommend. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! It's a little stinky, but that's okay because you can PET BABY COWS while you eat delicious ice cream that they made for you! What is better than that. They also sell fresh eggs, milk and kefir (spelling?), which I have never tried but it's cute. I should disclaim that I love farms, so that makes me partial, but the fact that the farm is 100's of years old and has been owned by the family for 12 generations makes me want to go there. The cows are also free to go in and out of the barn as they please, and I think they seem pretty well cared for. The staff seems somewhat friendly. I would give them mixed reviews. The ice cream is moderately priced but delicious (get Moose Tracks!!). I recommend it! read more

Avoid this place like the plaque unless: A) You have 10 - 20 minutes to wait, depending on the line B) You don't mind eating a different ice cream than you ordered I waited in line for about 20 minutes behind five or six people. The woman working behind the counter was incredibly old, slow-moving, and hard of hearing. The man a few people ahead of me ordered pistachio - she gave him pecan. When I finally got to the counter, she got my order right but charged me twice. Then she struggled to figure out how to work the register so it would give me my money back. Meanwhile, the old man working with her (husband, maybe?) just sat nearby doing nothing. Hey gramps, maybe if there's a line of seven people waiting to order, you could open up the other window and lend a hand? I don't know if this old couple owns the place, but whatever the case may be they need to hire some much younger blood ASAP. read more

Stopped by and bought some pasteurized milk. Good price at $3 for a half gallon for something that's "farm fresh". Always nice to see the cows that your milk (presumedly) came from. My husband remembers when there were more animals on the farm, particularly the goats. Glad to see a family farm still hanging on in these over-commercialized times. read more

My wife and I went to this farm based on a recommendation from a family friend who would often pick up their raw milk from here. The lady who sold us the product was extremely friendly and helpful. The soft serve chocolate was the creamiest and freshest we ever ate. The gallon of raw milk was reasonably priced at $6. To top it off you can see the cows up close! read more

te I should have known though that this was going to be a BAD experience. As you pull into the farm from Route 34 and enter you are immediately advised that NO DOGS allowed on several over sized signs and one with a legal disclaimer not to have a dog on the premises. It's a farm for crying out loud. Chill Second, I ordered a cup of the soft serve vanilla ice cream and at $5 I was expecting a full rich vanilla ice cream.....NOT. It seemed as though the ice cream at one point must have thawed and re-froze as the texture was way off....the woman who was attending the dairy bar wasn't the friendliest person in the world. If she smiled, it might have hurt. I complained about the texture, test etc. and she immediately got a cup for herself, tasted it and told me that there was nothing wrong with it as I threw mine away. With another customer just coming up to buy some corn, she did offer a cup of vanilla hard instead. I thanked her, took my cup and left and threw that cup out as well. A cone from McDonald's was creamier and cheaper. So if I were thinking about going some where for friendly service and a decent cup of ice cream....THIS IS NOT THE in PLACE......and don't have a dog in the car...you could be arrested and if you can make the lady laugh or crack a smile...you are better than me. Oh, and the ice cream is NOT made at the farm...its from Buck's out of Milford.... . I found this farm to be the only one in my area to sell raw milk which is great and for a reasonable price. I always buy dary products there as often that i can. They also sell ice cream in summer. Love it. read more

Love this farm! Field View Farm has the best yogurt and raw milk in the area by far. My family and friends love it! We'll be up tomorrow for some freshly made yogurt and milk. Sadly John K and Patty E had such a poor experience that they felt the need to name call and degrade. Not Necessary! You are way out of line calling Mrs Hines an old bag. You try working a farm day in and day out for over fifty years, while people leave messes (surely w/a baby you must carry a handi wipe) and permit their dogs to defecate along their property. If you don't like the ice cream tell Buck's Ice Cream. For sure you wouldn't appreciate the fresh dairy. The place is cute- cool that you can see the cows and ducks. And the farmers always wave, since my son loves tractors and loaders. The ice cream is good. We tried to make a lunch date of it with a baby and two toddlers. I always clean up after we eat, and some dried ice cream was left on the table. Big deal. We would have wiped it more but they only give you one napkin and it was dried before we left. As I was leaving a nice time, the old bag lady came over asked me where I was from, if I enjoyed myself and then Rudely said she'd be cleaning up our mess. Seriously? Won't go back. Isn't worth it. Honestly it was like two tablespoons of ice cream. And lady it's ice cream on a farm, and for kids and we are three feet away from huge smelly cows! read more
