I just paid a bill for $697.00 for a storage unit of 10 x25. The orignal move in rate was approximately $299. 4 years ago. Their late fee policy is 20% or $20. "whichever is higher," so $104.00 for paying my storage 17 days late. Wow. Then the real kicker: The storage went up $67.00 per month to $520.00. (They actually have the audacity to state 35% discount on the bill) I called the store manager and advised of the multitude of people all over the internet complaining about these business practices. I am moving out and I am filing a Complaint with Connecticut Consumer Affairs and with the BBB.

Ken at the Branford location is a hospitable as they come. The second stage of my Lock up experience was the step down from a complete house...a 7"X10"x9" unit that held all the little leftover bits and pieces. Again a beautiful indoor facility air conditioned, carpeted - good lighting - 14 hour access. I can whole heartedly recommend the Lock-up on North Main in Branford, CT prices are very competitive, direct billing is easy and the customer support is really comforting in times of stress. We are lucky to have it so conveniently in Branford.
