Had a 3 man crew who arrived early and worked constantly and efficiently for an in-state move. Total cost came in below estimate due to the crew's effort which resulted in us housing hours early despite running into issues at my storage unit. Called them for an estimate and it took them 3 days to call back. When they did call back we scheduled an appointment and they gave no indication that there might be an issue with the day them not being able to do the move on the day we were looking. The day we were slated to meet with them for the estimate they called to say that they had booked a number of jobs so could no longer do the move on the day requested. They went on to ask if we could move two weeks later. Really? Of course, we will just call the buyer of the house and see if they mind if we hang out for a couple of weeks. Why waste my time if they think they have potential jobs on that day and/or why not give me a heads up that I need to book in order to hold the spot? They cost me days of potentially finding another mover at a very busy time for most movers. Never again.... read more

Derosier has move us twice. Once 15 years ago and a second time just this month. The experience was the same both times. The guys were great... they worked their asses off and we're very careful (and nice). The estimate of time needed (2 days packing and 2 days moving) was accurate. No damage to moved items and a couple of very minor scuffs on walls in a stairwell even though they were moving some enormous pieces. They made a generally stressful and overwhelming thing go as smoothly as can be expected. Pretty amazing! In the case of moving, experience pays - I highly recommend them. read more

Move out was great...great crew....all went smoothly. Move in 15 days later is a whole different story. Called to schedule move in date 10 days prior. Less than 24 hours from date and time of the move you suddenly can't move in at 8 a.m.? Ummm...okay I guess. The 80 year old woman was gracious and accepted the 12 o'clock move in. On move in day, an hour AFTER you are due to arrive you call and say you are delayed bcuz the person who got our 8 a.m. slot had everything moved into garage and then decided to have it moved into the actual house?!?! I certainly hope you charged her extra bcuz I am asking for concessions in the form of a partial refund for the trouble and hours of waiting around. You ought to be ashamed of yourself jerking around an 80 year old woman like this! read more

By Far , the very best Movers we have ever used! Allan came out and met with us for an estimate ( we had 3 estimates). We chose Dersosier because we felt we would get personal attention and we were right! We had to move from CT to Florida and have Derosier store our things for 4 months. I was very nervous about my things being away so long but Allen was very reassuring and made me feel at ease whenever I called. Moving day arrived and they showed up with 6 guys who went to work right away and never missed a beat. We had over 400 boxes and bins and these guys got all the trucks loaded within 7 hours. I couldn't believe it! They then had to bring it to their warehouse to unload and reload back again 4 months later. As I write this our items are en route to our new home in Florida and Kathy and Allen as well as Keith have been very attentive. We couldn't ask for a better experience. I will update this for a final time when our things arrived but i am feeling very confident that it will go off without a hitch. We have used numerous movers in the past ( all recommended ) and they don't hold a candle to Derosier. You will not be disappointed. read more

I've moved 6 times in the past 8 years; and have had my share of bad experiences. I used Derosier 2 weeks ago for a move from CT to RI for a 5 bedroom house. The rep (I think it was Keith) came to our house to give an estimate; was very nice and professional. Move was done over 3 days (pack one day; then move stuff onto trucks; then deliver the 3rd day). They even advised us we could save money by packing as much of our own stuff as we could (and we did! and came in a few hundred under estimate!); and they came and packed what we didn't get done. All went smoothly; the movers themselves were professional, friendly, didn't break anything. On delivery day, they made sure everything was in the correct room; they disassembled and reassembled the furniture. Overall, would highly recommend them. Moving is stressful enough; and they took a lot of the stress out. read more

Under-quoted. Missed an entire storage shed. Took a broken painting and never returned it. No apologies for bad service and no return phone call when called in search of my painting. Derosier Storage in them selves were great. Their loading crew were very good and professional. However, Derosier is only a "local" mover. For long distance they use Arpin Van Lines. Arpin Van Lines is AWFUL!!!!! They dropped and broke several items while unloading. They threw items off the truck onto the grass. They refused to reassemble the items that they disassembled while loading. They just "piled items such as garden hoses, garden tools (rakes, shovels etc.) and such into a pile in the garage. They damaged walls & doors in the house while they unloaded. We cannot use our vacuum cleaner because they broke the handle. Arpin's response? "It's not Arpins problem, it's your problem". "Do you have proof that they threw items off the truck while unloading or that the movers did damage to the walls?" ((The entire interior of the house was painted before we moved into the house.) (In retrospect, I should have filmed the crew while they were unloading the truck!!) I could go on & on about the damage to our items; the total lack of response and attitude of Arpin Van Lines. They do not care in the least, because they are paid in full BEFORE anything is unloaded. Derosier has no control what so ever once Arpin gets involved. We would have been better off using a independent local mover. It would have been more than half the cost with the same results. Very disappointed to say the least. My advice: If Derosier is associated with Arpin Van Lines, look elsewhere!! read more

The estimator violated federal law by not bringing any of the booklets he was required to bring. His estimate of the rooms was slipshod. He was rude. He sent an estimate that was not based on the weight he said I had and did not send an inventory sheet. His price was extremely high. If he didn't want the job he should have said so and not wasted either of our time. read more
