I just wanted to share that Luke, Cole, and the other team member (I'm sorry I don't recall his name) were all awesome. Luke is a great leader, very clear with directions and also really easy and pleasant to talk to and socialize with. Cole was extremely polite, and I truly appreciated his help throughout the move. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend your team to friends. Thanks again, Luke, I really appreciate you and the team. Last thing, they are not expensive and it is worth it. read more

I have used Intense Movers for the 4th time now and cannot say enough good things about them. I'm so grateful to have found a moving company that is so reliable, and will continue to recommend them to all my friends and family. From the initial quote, communication throughout, and the experience with movers themselves, I've never had a complaint. On top of that, the price is unbeatable. You can't go wrong with Intense Movers. They are unmatched! read more

Moving in NYC is usually stressful, but Intense Movers made it easy peasy m! Big shoutout to Frankie and team. The team was professional, efficient, and treated my belongings with total care from start to finish. Best moving experience I've had in the city, and I highly recommend. read more

I used Intense Movers a second time for another move and they were again tremendous. Jose, Nick, and Ryan were great communicators, expert movers, and very efficient. The value is tremendous. They're the tops! read more

I used Intense Movers to move to a new home 25 miles away. I had the equivalent of a studio apartment worth of items. I requested quotes from 3 or 4 different companies and went with Intense Movers because they were the cheapest. They were extremely thorough when assessing my inventory to generate a quote. I appreciated their attention to detail because it made me feel confident that there would be no surprise costs at the time of payment. It was also super convenient that they let me update my inventory up to 5pm the day before the move. All of the preparation is handled via email and they are very responsive so you can get answers quickly. I added a full size mattress and box spring to my item list the day before the move and they were able to accommodate me and provide a new quote without issue. The day of the move went very smoothly. They supplied two movers for the job. It seemed like they were sub-contractors because their truck didn't have any branding. We had to pick up items from two different houses, but we had no issues. The movers had plenty of blankets to wrap my items for extra protection. They were very professional and communicative with one another when carrying large pieces to ensure they didn't drop them or damage walls. They do charge extra for tolls and additional flights of stairs. I didn't use their assembly service because I was quoted $80 to set up a simple metal bed frame. I also found it odd that they are pretty much cash only (you can also pay by check for certain amounts). Other than that, I definitely recommend this company and would use them again. read more

Have used these guys for my last two moves. Once for a local move within Williamsburg and most recently from NY to Philly. They are communicative over email and call you the day before to confirm. Very affordable, plus they don't nickel and dime you for any minor updates to your inventory day of. Would highly recommend - super nice movers as well! read more

Definitely a five star moving company, by far. Pleasantly surprised by how efficient the team I received was and the amount of care they put into moving my belongings. Initially wanted to go with a competitor, but after receiving a heartfelt response regarding why I should go with Intense Movers instead, I decided to give them a try. Price - From bidding out, Intense movers seems pretty comparable to the competition. It's definitely a cost, but I've learned you're paying for quality. If you want cheap, get a friend and a uhaul. I'd rather pay a premium for the move and invest my energy for other necessary tasks. Team & Moving - Got Xavier as the lead mover and he was phenomenal. Him and his team (4 for move out, 3 for move in) were super kind and know the drill. Furniture was wrapped & protected, and nothing was damaged (posting this review after finished unpacking). Typically I'm stressed throughout the move, especially when I'm moving art, but this time I pretty much just let them do their thing. Timing - It took a little less than five hours to move a two bedroom apartment. We got held up because, believe it or not, the competitor with a pink truck I planned to go with initially was blocking more than half of the street and wouldn't let my team pass. Probably could have finished around 4.5 hrs if we didn't get delayed. Impressed that they had another job after mine. All in all, I highly recommend Intense Movers. My move was a good experience and I'll be using them again on the next move. read more

We hired Intense Movers to move our one-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn into storage in PA. Aside from their competitive pricing, they were one of the few movers who communicated via email which I prefer. On the move day, the guys were on time and total pros. They were so on point and easy to talk to, which put us at ease. They carefully wrapped furniture in blankets and had us loaded in the truck 2-3 hours. They even helped us drop some donations at a thrift shop when a charity pick-up fell through at the last minute. The process of unloading on the other end was as smooth as silk. Overall, they were total pros and we couldn't be happier with their excellent service and awesome attitudes. Coolest trucks around to boot! Thanks guys! read more

Intense Movers - Movers Near Me - Stamford, Connecticut

These guys were GREAT. I first booked because of the reasonable quote they provided and the thorough and quick responses, questions and communication they provided before the move. The day of we were so pleased with the two movers who helped us. They were friendly, smart, efficient and flexible (we ended up having 3x the boxes that I anticipated -- yikes! The cost went up of course but that was expected with 3 times the number of boxed items. I'm just glad they didn't refuse to move them!). They didn't complain once about anything and were very willing to go with the flow (we had some slight hiccups on the delivery end). One caveat -- which the moving company is very clear about at the very beginning of the planning process -- is that this is NOT white glove service. They do not do the packing, just the moving. They will of course help wrap furniture as needed, but packing and taping up boxes etc is the responsibility of the client, so if you are looking for someone to wrap and pack all your dishware, look elsewhere. IF you are down to save some money and do it yourself, then definitely book Intense Movers. read more

We just finished a long distance move with Intense Movers from Connecticut to Texas. Having compared their quote to roughly 30 other movers, I was hesitant at first since their pricing for our own truck was comparable to van lines that are shared with other moves. However, they delivered exactly as promised. Justin was an awesome team lead, having updated me on his progress daily and even sending me some cool pics of the truck on its way! I highly highly recommend using Intense Movers, especially if you are looking for a long distance move. For the same price as other companies who take between 2-3 weeks, and risk losing/damaging your items, Intense was able to deliver in 3 days on time and it's perfect condition. Also, yes the form to fill out is tedious, but it serves as written proof of the quote. It's worth the extra few minutes. read more

Even in the best of circumstances, moving sucks. Moving during a pandemic on one of the hottest days of the year? A whole different level of stress. Enter - Intense Movers. Prompt. Efficient. Transparent. And actually...funny? I can't recommend Intense Movers enough. Shaun, Ash, and Richard moved my maximalist apartment into storage today and made the whole process as stress-free as possible. They took amazing care with my stuff (and there was a lot of it) and didn't bat an eye at playing Tetris with my bulky couch in my prewar apartment. Moving always sucks but I think Intense Movers makes it suck a whole lot less. Oh and this was my first time using movers in the city but per my friends, their rates are some of the best around. read more

Moving is never easy, but these guys were so wonderful and made the process not so scary. Intense Movers was recommended to me by a coworker and now I feel it's my duty to recommend them to anyone I can! First off, communication is excellent. Everything is done over email and they are super thorough in collecting your inventory details and speedy quick with all replies to questions. All upfront pricing, very transparent. Second, the actual move. I moved from the Upper East Side to the Upper West Side. I had a decently sized inventory for a 1BR and they did the entire move in just under 4 hours. The crew was made up of three guys - Johannes, Drake and Octavius. They were extremely kind, went above and beyond in handling certain things that weren't included in the original inventory, and had to battle the misty rainy weather. They even had a quality check guy come during the move to inspect the truck and ensure everything was running smoothly. Book with these guys now. They know what they're doing, good-hearted people, and deserve big tips! read more

Intense Movers were awesome. The estimate process feels daunting but you're super grateful that you've done it in the end. They were happy to adjust my quote a day or two before and the guys who came were super chill and nice and efficient. They were particularly sweet with my seven year old, letting him "help." Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Worth noting they do cash only or, if your move is expensive enough, partial payment can be a cashier's check. Highly recommend. read more

These guys are FANTASTIC. The move from my daughter's apartment in NYC to Atlanta and into the new apartment was flawless from start to finish. There was a one hour delay getting into the building in NYC and the workers were chill and fabulous about it. They wrapped her tv and couch and glass bar cart and glass book shelf incredibly well. There was a delay getting into the apartment in Atlanta and Hughes (who drove the truck) was so understanding. Hughes did the drive and unpacked her without a hitch. My daughter couldn't say enough great things about him. Everything arrived in perfect condition. This is the 5th or 6th time we have used Intense movers and we highly recommend them to anyone contemplating a move. read more

This was the best experience I could've had. I was resistant to movers from a previous experience. My roommate used Intense Movers a month earlier & had amazing things to say & urged me to use you all. The 2 guys that came were on time, fast, kind, & careful with my belongings. I've already been telling everyone I know to use Intense Movers. I honestly still can't believe that we moved from Brooklyn to Queens & did it all in 1.5 hours. Thank you all for making moving the easiest it has ever been. 10/10 recommend! read more

I have now used Intense for two moves in Manhattan in the past 2 years and I can say these guys do a fantastic job! Eric, Dwayne, Frankie and all of the staff I have interacted with have been such a pleasure to work with. They were extremely responsive in scheduling, their pricing is affordable, and I really appreciated their understanding when I was having trouble confirming my move date with my new apartment. The actual moving days both went so smoothly- the crew was on time, efficient, and careful with thoroughly protecting any items from damage. Being able to trust them really helped ease some of the stress of moving, and I can't recommend them enough! read more

I've used Intense Movers twice, once a couple years ago to move from one apartment to another, and a second time this past week to move from one apartment to two separate apartments. Both times I was very pleased with the quote they provided me, and the actual day of the move went very smoothly. The movers were super friendly and low-key. I've been very happy both times I used them and will plan on using them in the future when I have to move again. read more

So glad that I decided to go with Intense Movers!! I moved from Westchester (near White Plains) to Jersey City. Since I was outside the five boroughs but close to NYC, it was an interesting search process. But somehow I landed on their site and submitted a request for a quote. They were extremely communicative from day one! They answered me promptly and helped me through the inventory process to give me as accurate a quote as possible. The rate was good and I liked that they charged based on inventory rather than hourly -- I didn't have to worry about traffic increasing my price, which we all know is a huge factor here in NYC. They also let me adjust my inventory up until 5pm the evening before my move, which took some of the pressure off to get it perfect before I'd packed. They arrived at my old apartment on time, and they were very professional and speedy. I had a large one-bedroom apartment with two people's belongings, and we were out of there in 1.5 hours. Then, once we'd arrived at the new apartment, we were in the space in less time than that. Also, it poured that day, and nothing I own got ruined. The team was cheerful and friendly and professional despite the terrible moving conditions. All my belongings are safe, sound, and moved, and I couldn't be happier. read more

I had a really good experience using Intense Movers for my recent move. I was moving about 20 boxes, a bed and a few smaller pieces of furniture. The company got back to me quickly after I requested a quote. Their quote process is quite detailed but they were easy to communicate with. I only reached out about a week before my move and they responded to all my emails, scheduled an appointment and sent me a COI within a few days. I was assigned 2 movers and quoted a very reasonable price. Even before my move began, I felt like this company was on top of things. On the day of the move, one of the movers contacted me to give me an estimated time of arrival. When they arrived at their estimated time, they double-checked my inventory before beginning to pack up our stuff. They were very efficient and I felt like our items were moved out of the apartment very quickly. At my new apartment, they also brought everything in very quickly and I'm happy to report nothing was damaged in the process. I feel like they overall were careful with our things. They were also super friendly and laid back! I felt like the whole process was very transparent and well-organized. I was very satisfied with my move and I would recommend them to others and would use them again for another move. read more

Absolutely thrilled with this moving company. Originally had them booked for a one day move from Bronx to Stamford and they accommodated a last minute change for a double closing. They came and took our belongings - a two bedroom apt in under two hours, stored it overnight and delivered the next day. The guys were friendly, efficient, careful, respectful and communicated regularly over text regarding arrival. We appreciated the company's quick responses to our emails and found their price to be competitively reasonable. Don't be put off by their email requesting inventory - this is part of the process. Helpful to snag photos and links of furniture and insert those into the original inventory so they know what you have. We had professional disassembly/assembly of two complicated beds. Both were done with ease. Overall a professional, impressive and relieving experience with this company for what tends to be a very stressful process. Intense Movers made it as simple and stress free as possible. read more

Alright, these guys are good. I take responsibility here for the hiccup. I put in a request for an in building move. However, when I submitted the request, i failed to acknowledge the address was in CT, NY NY! Oy. The guys called me up confused and after I told him I was in CT, he was taken aback. I got off the phone and looked at the sales order and realized they never put the town. The street was fine, but they put down the cross streets as if I was in NY! Eventually we figured everything out and they did come up (1.5 hours late thanks to you know who ;)). It meant that I flex my muscles to help them out and have them focus on the big items. They came, they saw, they conquered. They still honored the original quote and was very good at getting everything in. They even did a daring move to get the couch upstairs (it wouldnt fit so they has to use a pully through our patio). Best part is, the guys didn't complain once about the address and they all had a great sense of humor about it. The guys were young, so I did teach them a few tricks about moving (how to take a door out of the doorway to move something in, and a harness that can be very useful when moving bulky items). Its all small stuff but I hope they take to it on suburban moves. Definitely reccomend these guys going forward. read more

A pleasant and uneventful move (which is all that we want in a move). Great communications throughout, and super careful with all of our belongings. Their estimation tools and were easy-to-use, making it easy to get an estimate. And, the team were nice guys as well, making the process enjoyable. We have a tough driveway, so they ultimately chose to bring up everything from curb-level, making their job tougher, but they had no complaints. Would definitely hire again for any moving needs. read more

Ty and the team did an *outstanding* job with my move. I was truly blown away by their quality, speed, and good customer service. Any time I asked for special attention to detail I was always greeted with a smile and "We got you!" All of my items were moved in blazing fast time, and in perfect condition. I've never been so delighted to tip so well. The positivity and comradery of the team was contagious. Ty and the team should be holding seminars on customer service. I am dead serious. read more

My wife and I moved about a mile away in Brooklyn, and Intense Movers were great. Before the move, they were quick to respond, provided a fair estimate, and helped to detail the way the move would go. On moving day, the movers arrived on time, were courteous and friendly. We ended up having more stuff than we initially anticipated on our inventory, and the moving team was very accommodating, especially since it was more work than they probably anticipated! I would definitely recommend. read more

I had trouble booking a move as everyone was busy. I called intense, the checked on the day. They promptly returned my call and setup the move. Dwayne and his teammate were very courteous, professional and efficient. They showed up with supplies, moving trollies and blankets. My 3 hour move was completed in 2.5 hours. Nothing was broken, and they even went the extra mile to correct some wrapping errors I had done with my large TV. I would definitely use them again, and recommend them to anyone. read more

This is my second time moving with Intense Movers and the second excellent experience I have had. From fair pricing to highly efficient communication (it's nice when people keep the same late hours I do) to staff who are effective, professional and friendly. I had the privilege of being moved by Xavier's team and was astounded by how kind, attentive, and clever he was in moving to me in to a building with an unusual entry. I would recommend them to anyone ahead of any of the larger companies in the NYC area. read more

My roommate and I used Intense Movers last week to move our belongings from a storage unit to our new apartment. I've used Intense Movers twice now and they've been superb both times. Very professional and detail-oriented, not to mention cheaper than anywhere else I got a quote from. The guys are punctual, friendly, and work fast! They make you put together a detailed list of everything you're moving before giving you a quote, and while that might seem annoying at first, it results in a cheaper quote AND it reminds you exactly what you're moving and how big of a job it is. Intense Movers offers TOP QUALITY service for less $. Highly recommend. read more

I have moved a lot -- 8 times in 12 years. So I consider myself a moving expert. Intense was by far the best company I've ever worked with. Despite being a bit late (they were communicative and apologetic about the delay), they finished my entire move in less than 2 hours. I was completely shocked and grateful! Dwayne and his crew were friendly and kind. I'm glad I went with Intense and won't use any other company again. read more

Marco and Kenny were a pleasure to work with. After some unexpected delays and traffic, they were efficient and quick in moving me out of my apartment in Rhode Island. I would highly recommend Intense Movers! read more

Cire and Carl were awesome with my move! Would definitely recommend Intense movers to friends and family.

From start to finish, I had a great experience with Intense Movers. They gave me the best quote and were very responsive as I had to email them a few times to update the inventory list and ask questions. The movers, Matt and Eddie, were excellent. Matt texted to confirm the time the day before, they showed up on time, wore masks, had great attitudes and worked hard. I've used Intense Movers three times because they're consistently a pleasure to work with in every step of the process and their pricing is very competitive. They're thorough and communicative during the inventory stage and honest about fees or the cost of add-ons. On the day of, the crew manager arrives early for a walkthrough and to check items against the inventory. They're honest about any additional costs for items that weren't in the initial inventory, and got my sign off and approval before adding them to list. The crews are friendly with positive attitudes. I have a few pieces of furniture that are fragile or awkward to carry, but the crew from Intense is methodical in how they prepare my items for the move. They bring plenty of moving blankets and extra tape to keep the items safe. I have a heavy couch and an apartment with tight hallways, but they figured out how to move it in without any damage to the couch or the walls. I'll definitely use them again. read more
