Hired these guys based on a recommendation from a friend (word of mouth works!). Everything was extremely smooth and professional, from the quick email responses, to the price quote, through the move itself. The guys were very courteous (everyone wore masks if you're curious), efficient, and handled all my cheap furniture as if it were going to the palace of Versailles. I've had hits and misses with movers in NYC, and these guys were the best so far. Highly recommended. read more

I was very impressed with the crew that came to move me. They were professional, polite, focused and efficient. They took care with my most fragile pieces and were very good at placing furniture as well as boxes in the rooms where they needed to go. I would absolutely hire them again and recommend them! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! We desperately needed last minute movers. Intense Movers was recommended by a friend. I called them and spoke to Alex who was incredibly helpful. He found a time slot for us the next day and took a thorough inventory of our furniture and boxes. He went out of his way to help me after hours on a Friday night. He also provided me with multiple quotes so I knew how much the move would cost and how long it would take depending on how many movers we hired. We got 2 movers for a great price - I never felt like they were trying to take advantage of my desperation. The next day, Kirk and Kojo showed up to move our stuff. They did an amazing job! They arrived on time and expertly managed the difficult traffic on our street. They handled all of our items with care and got the job done quickly. This is a great moving company and I will definitely be calling them for any future moves. read more

Stay away!! I've moved many times and know exactly what to expect. The head mover Shane was slow, panicked and obsessed with "counting the boxes" as opposed to getting the job done. He spent nearly an hour dilly dallying at the truck without anyone in the apt. Then he cancelled the move halfway through! The office stopped taking my calls. It was a nightmare and I believe the company is dishonest with fake Yelp reviews. Disgraceful. Run!! read more

Loved that they showed up in masks. They had two trucks and a very smart crew. They knew exactly what they were doing. They finished loading all my stuff in an hour and I did not have to do anything. Unloading was even faster than I expected. They also helped move my furniture to the right place. Very friendly and excellent people. Will use it again. Highly recommend. read more

Honest guys, careful movers and extremely helpful. They even offered to spend the time rearranging furniture. Great experience. read more

Leading up to the move the company communicated well with my new building to get insurance lined up. On moving day, they showed up on time, packed the truck in ~45 minutes, and handled everything carefully. Everything was in place in my new apartment in less than three hours. I had a few extra loose items (that I didn't claim on the questionnaire) that they didn't make a fuss about helping me out with. I didn't pay for bed re-assembly, but since everything worked so smoothly, they insisted on helping me with it anyway. As someone that's moved in NYC a few times, this blew away my expectations. read more

Intense is THE BEST! They moved us to our new apartment last year - from a 4th floor walk up to another 4th floor walk up. I collected six quotes from all the well known movers in my area and Intense had the best price. The reps are really straight forward on costs and were really nice while dealing with me adding boxes and changing the move date, multiple times. The movers were on time, quick, efficient, and super friendly, not to mention really attractive hah. I also just used them to move a bed and frame from my mom's house to ours. We opted to use their assembly service for the frame. When the mover opened the box we noticed there were no instructions and nuts missing. He went to the hardware store to get what we needed and stuck with it until he got it assembled! All while being so kind, patient, and understanding. I HIGHLY recommend Intense Movers to anyone I know that is planning and move! read more

The movers were so kind and helpful. They got back to me within hours and always updated me. They are also very reasonably priced.

We used Intense Movers a week ago and the crew was amazing - flexible, understanding and friendly (& less expensive than several others)! We couldn't have asked for a better team and are grateful for their help on an insanely chaotic/stressful day where things kept changing. Thanks to all and will absolutely be recommending! read more

I've now moved with Intense Movers 3 times over the past 5 years and I've had a fantastic experience with them each time. They are super responsive over email, fairly priced, and show up on time with a professional crew. They bring their own moving blankets to make sure furniture is wrapped and protected, and move everything with care. And they are always willing to go above and beyond and handle any little hiccups or changes in plan that inevitably arise. Highly recommend! read more

Cire and Carl knocked our move out of the park. Moved from one Westchester NY town to another, the team showed up on time and diligently moved 10 large items + 15 large/very large boxes. We were completely finished after about 2.5-3 hours, not one thing was broken. Guys had a smile on their face the entire time as well. Worth every penny and would use intense movers again in the future. read more

Amazing experience from first booking to when the job was done. The schedulers were so responsive. Our movers arrived on time and efficiently packed up the entire apartment in under 2 hours in 95 degree heat. Santos, Hughes and Earl were extremely hard working and very polite. Doesn't get better than this crew and company. read more

Ty and his team were excellent. Took the stress out of moving day. They arrived early and were kind and efficient. The rate was far more reasonable than another local company. Can't recommend these guys enough. read more

After a truly difficult move into our apartment, we knew we needed movers with lots of experience and a positive attitude to get us to our next place. Intense Movers delivered-- not only did they successfully navigate tight hallways, stairs, and doorframes, but their rate was extremely competitive. From the very beginning they were extremely organized, asking specific questions about items to be moved to ensure the quote and the truck size were appropriate. They were also incredibly responsive at all points during the planning. Paul and team were friendly, efficient, and did an awesome job. Definitely recommend working with Intense Movers! read more

Absolutely great!! They were attentive, reliable and reasonably priced. It's all I could ask for with movers. The day of, they were punctual, swift but also careful with my stuff. I used them a year ago in my last move and was so pleased with the service. I'm going straight to them for an upcoming move as well. I also appreciate their thorough questionnaire to assess the cost and move fairly, leaving no surprises so you're fully prepared upfront. All around great service and I highly recommend them!! read more

Having used more than ten moving companies over the years, I can say that Intense Movers is the best by far. Today was the second time we used them and the service provided by Shane and Sammy was fantastic. They arrived 15 minutes before the scheduled time, and they were both professional, polite, and hardworking. Setting up the move was a good experience too. The process was simple in that they took a thorough inventory through e-mail and provided a flat fixed rate which we found reasonable. We made a number of revisions to the initial inventory and they responded very quickly, often after business hours. Intense Movers truly reduced the stress of our move. We will continue to use them for all our future moves. read more

Lane and his partner were extremely professional and courteous pertaining to my move. Called them up very last-minute for a truck from Harlem to Carroll Gardens, and they were fast, easy, and reliable. All my belongings arrived in one piece and were carried up a flight of stairs. I do wish they'd mentioned the $50 off $150 discount though, especially since I had considerably less stuff than anticipated. In overall, I would definitely recommend them and will book again!!! read more

Man, what a find. I went with Intense Movers after checking out reviews for a bunch of companies online. Their estimate was about $1,000 cheaper than another reputable company and I can't imagine better service. Noah, Moses, and Matteo were prompt, communicative, professional, and overall good dudes. Perhaps most importantly, they handled all of my stuff with care and damaged nothing. Will be recommending them to anyone and everyone who asks for the name of movers. read more

I recently requested a quote and submitted a VERY detailed description of what we would needed to have moved, when, where, what WITH PICTURES OF THE ITEMS. My husband are extremely detailed people and we provided a detailed inventory of large items, as well as a solid guesstimate on the number and size of boxes (like most people, we have not finished packing as we still have a few weeks before the move). I did receive a very quick response via email requesting additional details, like the number of stairs, weight of my first born, bra size (okay ...I'm exaggerating) but the point being they asked a litany of questions that I responded to - even though I was already annoyed. THEN, I received ANOTHER email with SEVENTY SIX questions...yes, I counted them. SEVENTY SIX questions -- including asking about the make and model of our gas grill, WEIGHT of the gas grill, the estimated weight of our refrigerator, and then the question that put me over the edge -- they asked for a link to the retailers site for a jelly cabinet that I purchased 15 years ago. Seriously?? I 'moved' on to another mover and I suggest you do the same, because most people who are trying to get a quote from a mover do not have time for this BS. read more

Intense Movers did a FANTASTIC JOB! They were very communicative and thorough in the initial quoting process and setting up the appointment. The drivers/movers were the best. They called and said they were running early, to asked if they could start earlier, which we loved! They were beyond friendly, careful, efficient and calming. We all know that moving can be very stressful and these three guys did a great job of taking care of our things. From the time the rang our buzzer to the time they drove away, was two hours. We were THRILLED! Highly recommend, Intense Moves, 100%! Five Stars. read more

I can't say enough good things about Intense Movers on my move from Midtown Manhattan to Long Island City. They were on-time, professional and highly efficient. Johannes and Hughes were extremely polite and made my move a pleasure. In addition, I had changes to what I was taking with me and the office responded within minutes with new estimates. I highly recommend Intense Movers. read more

I can't say enough great things about this moving company. This crew was super responsive and thorough while working out a quote (and made doing it remotely a breeze), and day of the move, they were on time, accommodating, super friendly, worked insanely efficiently and well together, were careful (not one single item broken -- and we moved A LOT of stuff), and took three flights of stairs in stride. They. Are. The. Best. ALSO!! I shopped around and these guys gave a ridiculously fair quote for the job -- and there were zero adjustments or add-ons at the end of the day. Stop searching - you've found your movers. read more

I highly recommend this company! The movers were excellent, pleasant and so helpful! Made a stressful day as easy as possible. The price was good as well. read more

Have to answer million questions for them to provide their pricing. Waste of my time.

Highly recommend. Thor and his crew were extremely accommodating, conscientious, and pleasant to work with. They worked quickly and carefully, and Thor went out of his way to calm our moving day anxieties. Couldn't have been happier with the job. read more

I used Intense for two moves. Each time their dispatch and moving crews were prompt, detail-oriented and polite. They wrapped my items well and adapted to the curve balls that inevitably happen on moving day. I especially appreciate that when some of our furniture got dinged during the move, they took it seriously and treated us fairly. (This is the reason I decided to write this review.) They offered the choice of having it professionally repaired or touched-up by a third party, or to receive cash compensation. I would use them again. read more

Scott and his team showed up exactly on time, were friendly, fast, and careful with our things. They loaded the truck in about an hour and arrived at our destination quickly and unloaded the items considerately and efficiently. Would absolutely hire them again. read more

They were awesome! Brandon texted us a day before we were set to move to confirm and discuss any missed details. They showed up early and were so efficient. Brandon, Carl and another guy (didnt catch his name) were so awesome. They took time to wrap our delicate furniture. They were really polite and respected our home. They were affordable and reasonable with their quote. We had some extra items to move and they had no problem adding things in last minute. My wife and I are so happy we used intense. read more

These guys are the BEST!!!! I had a short notice window of time to move. It's a pandemic, it was Labor Day weekend and it was 4 days notice. The office staff couldn't have been more friendly and accomadating. Communication was top notch! The day of the move, Xavier and Chris were on time! They had great attitudes! The lovingly wrapped my furniture and gently handled all items like it was Grandma's antiques! Xavier even removed the light bulbs from the lamps, I forgot to do that. I would hire this company anytime and I probably will, in abouth a month. read more

My experience w/ Intense Movers was great- I had used them for another move a few years ago and decided to hire them again based on my positive experiences. They are detail oriented and communicative. Our movers were Camara and Octavius, and they were friendly, efficient, and observed Covid safety procedures. I will use Intense Movers for my next move. read more

They were great, came on time and were extremely accommodating. My couch was too big to get through my doorway but they came up with an easy solution to fix the problem. Their prices are also very reasonable. Don't waste your time spending a ton of money on those expensive moving companies. These guys were professional and did an excellent job. I would use them again in a heart beat. read more

Eric and his crew from Intense Movers were amazing. I had a large apartment on a 4th floor walkup and they moved me out in two hours flat. I used Intense Movers twice within the past year, and they were beyond excellent both times. They are such a well-oiled machine, and they made everything from the quoting, booking, and actual move extremely easy for me! They're customer service is seamless, and the movers are friendly, professionals and experts at what they do. On top of all of that, their pricing is excellent. Thank you Intense Movers!! read more

My experience with Intense was fantastic from start to finish. I was really nervous about our move, especially during the pandemic plus we had a toddler. I had an idea of what the price was going to be, so I was really looking for a company that was going to make the day the least stressful as possible. Intense not only came in within the price range I had estimated, but the communication back and forth about the move was what really sold me. They answered immediately and gave me real answers. They solved last minute insurance issues and changes to the inventory. On the day of, a group of 3 guys came in ready to go. The lead, Justin, was great leading his team and letting us know what they needed. I couldn't have asked for a better team. They were so accommodating with small items that I just couldn't fit in a box. They worked really hard and worked with us to get it done. Thank you Intense! read more

Based on the good yelp reviews I just tried to get a quote from their company. I have now filled out 3 separate questionnaires and emailed a lengthy description of what I need, and have received yet another email asking about 30 more questions, including requesting links to sites where the furniture was purchased, whether tools would be needed to disassemble specific furniture items and whether furniture should be wrapped (ummm... aren't you the experts?) as well as a long list of other odd questions including multiple repeats of questions I have already answered. Since this has now been a great deal of time spent typing emails to them, I emailed back asking if we can have a phone conversation and they said no, if I want to hire them, I need to keep filling out these (seemingly infinite?) repetitive questionnaires. It's really kind of confusing and I don't have any more hours to dedicate to a company that hasn't even provided a rough quote yet.. I'm moving on to a different company. read more
