The salon is the best one in Westerly. I am local and have been going to Sunshine for years. If you want a pedicure go no where else. The foot massage is longer than anywhere else I've ever been to through all my years getting pedicures. So disappointed! I saw the good reviews and decided to try it because I am new to the area. I asked for a fill and she started ripping my nails off anyways with an old gift card. She filed my nails for 2 HOURS straight until I bled. When I pulled my hand away because she was still filing the bloody spot, she yanked my hand back and continued. After sitting there for way too long, they over charged and said it was a full set although they didnt replace all of my nails. They took advantage of my young age and thought they could get more money out of me. Not to mention I noticed people walk out because they had overbooked. Safe to say I won't be returning. I have been going here for years during the summer time. Today, I got there at 9am because that is the time is says on the website. They open at 9:30... they opened a little early and I did not have an appointment. They said to wait until 9:30 and I should be set. At 9:40 the guy basically yelled at me saying they had no time and to come back much later. I had been there for 40 minutes already. I do not need to be yelled at and please do not tell me you can take me when you can't. It was a waste of my time. So I drove right over to Lily Spa down the street and even though there were many people, they HAPPILY took me right away!! I will never go back to Sunshine Nails. Horrible. read more

Yesterday my wife went in to get her nails done. And of course again I got worried for her. But when she walked into Sunshine nails they were very accommodating. My wife spoke with them and they wanted to work on fixing the issues and that is what they did my. My wife got a design that she wanted without any issue. She walked out liking her interaction and most importantly liking her nails. She called me right away and told me about her experience. Now let me say this is what businesses are supposed to do. They corrected the issue. Signs of a good business. Now if other nail salons would follow Sunshine Nails example they would get repeat customers and not bad Yelp reviews. literally filed down my fingers and they started bleeding. they filed my nail into my skin so when it grows out it's not gonna do it right. i asked for a design and showed them a picture that they looked at 3 times and still got it wrong. the nails are super thin and chunky. i asked them to keep it how it was cuz they didn't do the design right. then they convinced me to add silver and didn't put it where i asked. read more

I am from Boca Raton, Fl. and never thought while on vacation I would have such a wonderful experience as I had today. Both were 5 Star! Went a few times, they do fine with paint but they make acrylics way to thin, mine broke in two days! Absolutely ridiculous, I've only gone more than once because it is in a convenient place. I went here because of the 5 star reviews. I overall was very disappointed in my experience. There were a lot of people there but they were able to get me right in. I decided on the Shellac, the nail tech told me the color I picked out was too light and asked if she could put another color under it. I was fine with that but noticed that for the color underneath, she used something other than authentic CND Shellac. I should have said something but I didn't. The top color he did use authentic Shellac. The nail tech took 3 phone calls while I was there. I found this unacceptable and rude. Shellac should last 2 weeks, which it has but a week in cracks started to develop at the tips and I wonder if it was the other stuff she used. Their prices are not that much lower, it's definitely worth it to go to a better place. read more

Went here yesterday to get acrylic nails, everything was going fine until I asked her to clip them shorter and she flat out said no. As I was paying I was expecting it to be 38 plus 6 because of the design but they charged me 54 dollars. When I asked why they said because I got gel nail polish although I didn't ask for it. I was charged $14 for my daughters nails to be painted. May I remind you that she is 4?! There was no manicure involved, just paint! I don't mind paying for the service, but this blew my mind. I just recently moved here from New York City, and I was asking around for a nail salon from the local people. They all recommended sunshine nails. I was very hesitant to go to a new salon, but I needed somewhere local to do my nails . I was extremely nervous to try this place, but I'm glad I did. I got a nail technician named Thi. I've been going there three times already, and he has done everything like I asked. I am a very picky person and he was able to give me the results I was looking for on my nails. He also did a great job on my pedicure. I was worried about the cleanliness of the place. But when I finally went I realize they are very clean they sterilize everything like they're supposed to and they did a fantastic job on my hands and my feet. They were very courteous and accommodating .The real test was when I returned home for the holidays in New York City everybody loved my nails. read more

I had gone to Sunshine Nails because I had heard good things about them. I am not from westerly but I recently moved out this way. I walked in ask for a full set of acrylics they told me to sit down I sat there for 10 minutes before I decided to pick my color out. Sat back down and waited another 10 minutes before I was told to sit in a chair. I shit down and the gentlemen who did my nails did a terrible job. My nails are not all shaped the same nor are they the same length as one another. In the middle on my thumb nail you can feel that it is not smooth you can see that it was not filed properly at all. The nail polish has bubbles in them, he didn't even tell me to wash my hands. And there is glue on the underside of my nails that I can not get out. And the pricing for them are outrageous. If they did a good job I would have no problem paying for them. But overall a terrible job!! I do NOT recommend going to this nail salon! read more

The air quality in this nail salon is awful. The ventilation needs work, or at least some fans would help. I have never noticed poor air quality like this with the other nail salons I like.
