Ok! Always willing to give a second chance. A friend recommended Stellar and claimed it was the best pedicure around. We went for my daughter's birthday with her little girls and everyone was pleased with the special attention they received! MUCH better than the last time I went! The leg massage was great, my toes look fantastic, and can't beat the neck massage at the end. The joint was jumping on this Friday in early summer so be sure to make an appointment! read more

If ZERO stars was an option, that would have been my preference over a one star. The tech was in such a hurry, she burned my nail while using an electric file and then proceeded to be intentionally rough becauce it pissed her off that I brought it to her attention. No apology. Just a bunch of unwarranted unproffesionalism. Hands down the worst pedicure and customer service I have EVER recieved in a nail salon. What a waste of time and money!!! read more

I, thankfully, have not had a bad experience here ever. They are the best and cleanest in the area! They do it all and they give a massage with all services at no extra cost. The techs are skilled and understand the nail bed and how to file, shape, remove cuticle, and apply product the professional way!!!!! Daisy is highly skilled and very fast. This is the only place to go in the Wakefield/Narragansett area for professional & skilled nail care. The icing on top, they are so friendly, especially the gentlemen that greets you, makes you feel welcomed and valued. read more

My mom and I made a same day appointment to get manicures, and they were able to accommodate us when we showed up 15 minutes early. I love that they ask you to wash your hands first before handling all the polishes- I admittedly don't get my nails done very often, but I've never been anywhere that does this. My nail technician was Cici, and my moms was Susan. Both of them were very nice, and very professional. When prepping our nails, they checked in with us frequently to make sure we were happy with the shape and length of our nails, and we were both so impressed at their speed and precision! My mom and I left there extremely satisfied with our nails, and will definitely be using this nail salon for any future nail care. I would absolutely recommend either Cici or Susan, they were fabulous. I don't have pictures of my moms manicure, but I added photos of my hands for reference. read more

Do not bother making an appointment. They do not honor it and keep you waiting 15-20 minutes and don't bother putting water in the pedicure foot bath while you wait. I walked out. read more

I went for my first time last week. On first impression, it is a very clean establishment. I asked for a gel manicure and about halfway through when putting my hands in the dryer, it burned so badly. I instantly pulled my hands out and the tech got angry. Sorry, I'm not getting burned to appease this tech. My nails did end up drying but one nails still stings to this day. I will not be returning. read more

Went for the first time yesterday. They put the water on so hot for the pedicure that I burned my feet, then she added ice cold water. The gentleman that I had was not personable at all, didn't do a good job (sorry!) - left nail polish around the nails and everything. Kind of rushed me out, didn't listen to me at all. I didn't realize they give you a massage and he did it so hard that it hurt the heck out of my neck, still hurting today! They should NOT be able to give massages as they are not professionals in that field and can really hurt someone. Needless to say, won't be going back! read more

Asked for acrylic on my toes with French tips and got the stellar pedicure, it was an issue 3 people complained before finding someone to do it, she finished the paint job and acrylic fine but when I reminded her I wanted tips she threw a hissy fit and yelled to her co worker from across the room all aggravated... I said if it was an issue never mind and got up to go dry, and then she wanted to act sweet...No, not with me honey... never got my massage and left with a pedicure I wasn't thrilled with, no tip goes without saying and OH THEY DID ASK... won't be back. read more

I love Stellar's clean facility and the manager is always hospitable. But the past two times I've come here, my technicians have been rushed and careless, even when not busy. This time I had Kiki and got a regular mani pedi. She did not wash my hands or clean my nails in any way, and her filing left them unevenly shaped and jagged on the edges. Base coat got everywhere. For the pedicure she barely rolled my pants above my ankles. My pants did get wet. She exfoliated only the top of my foot/ankle for about 3 seconds before rinsing. One of my toenails is cut diagonal. Foot massage was like someone brushing my foot with their fingers, I could barely feel it. Overall just no effort at every step, spent very little time on anything. Made it obvious that she didn't care and was just slapping the polish on. I will say - the technician next to us was doing a nicer job. Definitely not worth the $61 before tip. read more

Clean salon. However they DON'T soak nails!!!! After removing gel nails, hands are very dry from the acetone. That's when you are supposed to soak to loosen cuticles. That did not happen. Nail tech then pretended to clip cuticles from dry hands. Then painted nails over dry nails, did not have me wash my hands. No bonding primer used either. I've been getting my nails done for 20 years and I have never had such a weird experience. Had to clip my cuticles at home. The only good part is that it's a clean salon and they use fresh tools. Will never go back, do not recommend. Unless you like dry hands with cuticles read more

During covid I called when they first open and gave me the earliest appointment they had same day. They are currently taking appointments only no walk in. Mask required. Sanitizer hands before walking in, once in wash your hands, pick out your nail polish and then your on your way to some pampering. I needed a pedicure like woooeee! My feet were a mess from wearing steel toed boots on the daily. They sat me in a pedi chair, used a plastic bag inside the tube and pulled out new utensils out of surgical packaging. I choose the type of pedicure I wanted. Moisturized, chiseled, massaged and then painted. They used hot stones and heated towels. I was in heaven. My feet missed this TLC. The things I was bummed about was they never turned on the massage chair and I felt pain the next day like my big toe nail was cut to short. But o couldn't stop staring at my well manicured toes! read more

I've tried this place 3x because my sister loved it. First time, they burned my skin on the top of my foot with the callous remover gel - and said nothing. They also mismatched my hand and foot colors all the while swearing they were the same color. The second time they mismatched the colors again and rushed the whole thing. Third time they were going to mismatch the colors again and I changed my mind and stuck with the same color and cheaper service. They got mad at me and insisted it was the same color, but even though they started having a mini meltdown I stuck to my guns because I wasn't going to pay for something I didn't like - and I knew it was going to be rushed and overpriced no matter what. Other things - they literally only do 2 thin layers of polish and a top coat - my local spa does 3 plus a base coat and top coat, and it's amazing how long it lasts - even though it's not gel - not here. They also don't soak your nails and spend very little time and attention to detail filing and cutting. They will also argue with you if you don't like something or want to change because things are going sideways. No one here looks like they like their job or the people who come in. it's also 100% hard to leave here for under $100 even if you just want a basic mani pedi. That would be ok but the whole thing is very rushed and unfriendly and I agree with the other review that says that their pricing is not up front. It's prob OK if you just want a gel mani or a quick mani but I have no idea what that would cost. This is also the only place I've been where they ask you to pay in the middle of your service before they're even finished. My one color regular mani and green tea pedi was something like $86 before tip. It started wearing off 2 days later. What they call a massage feels rushed and it's like 2 mins. It's very clean and they have a good selection of colors, but I'm not going back anymore because it's just not enjoyable or worth the cost. read more

I've been going to Stellar steadily for years. Always clean, always good. Highly recommend.

This place is very disorganized. The service is terrible and no one seems to care. l'll never go back here.

We went here right after a bad experience at a different salon. Daisy was able to completely fix the nails from the other set and they came out perfect! I would completely recommend this for anyone else! Can't wait to go back next time. read more

I don't even know where to begin. I came here because of the excellent yelp reviews while in the area on vacation. First the place - silent, no one speaking to anyone really odd vibe. This guy motions for me to come sit and just starts off doing a rushed job, he cuts me once and looks up doesn't say sorry and keeps going. Then says ok paraffin time - another male comes over seems like manager or owner and tells him to put base coat on before paraffin...great I have the new guy in training. He finishes up its somewhat sloppy but whatever it's a sub par mediocre manicure and I'm thinking this is a three star nail place but fine. Go sit down to start drying and literally someone starts spraying cleaning solution all around me on the floor/on me - literally some gets sprayed into my leg. So I'm thinking eh this place is kind of crap, unfriendly and now I've been sprayed with cleaning solution...probs more 2 star review. Ok fast forward to the next day and my nails are changing color. Ummm. Yes. Please see attached. My off white is changing into a weird yellow but only on some fingers. I don't even know what to say, I get a manicure every week and I've never had it change colors like this? The top coat was unlabeled I'm not wondering what was in this. Long winded review and I rarely give one star but this place sucked and clearly are using bad/cheap topcoats that change color. So FYI to the next person - don't be lured in by amazing yelp reviews. read more

I was having a rough week and decided to get my nails done as a little treat to myself. I usually go to La boutique nails in PVD but didn't want to drive all the way there on a random Friday so I decided to go with this salon, as it is much more local to me. This was a mistake. I made my appointment for 3:30 at 1:00 pm--I wanted 3:00, but they couldn't fit me in until 3:30, which I completely underhand because this is rather last minute. Once I got there and I told them by name and appointment time I was told to sit and wait which I did--for, count 'em, 45 minutes. Multiple people went before me, including people who were walk ins for more complicated services where I only wanted a classic manicure and again, had an appointment. I felt ignored pretty much the entire time, until I was literally the last person sitting there and then I finally got serviced. I understand how tough customer service is and I would be more understanding if there was anything to make up for this, but I got no apology, nothing. The manicure itself was standard, nothing special, and some polish was left on my skin. It is a pretty salon and smells nice, but they don't seem to have the professionalism to back it up. Please save your hard-earned money and make the trek to PVD--it's worth the time. read more

Three words: waste of money. I'm sure I was lass interesting that most clients because I wanted a pedicure without nail polish. Sounds easy, right? Apparently the technician assumed that meant that she could rush through my appointment in record time. Basically, when I got home, I had to redo filing nails and trimming the cuticles. Her rush job was made to look good by putting lotion on my feet, but that was nothing more than a short term disguise. Basic temperature is $35. I was being charged that even though I didn't want polish, and I was willing to pay it. But, for what amounted to a 10 minute slapdash appointment, never again. Happy to take my money literally anywhere else. read more

We have a beach house in Narragansett and we spent seven weeks there this summer. I have tried other nail salons in the area but Stellar blows the doors off anything else I've found. The salon is stylish and relaxing, clean and very well appointed. I splurged on a milk spa pedicure that included exfoliation, a lengthy, blissful massage and heated "booties" (your feet are encased in plastic with scented oil inside the booties) - possibly the most indulgent, incredible pedicure I've ever had. The gel French manicure was perfect and included, as others have noted, a wonderful neck and shoulders massage. Oh, and they offer free bottled water. The best part is that my nails lasted forever! I went to Stellar Nails (again) just before leaving Rhode Island in mid September and if my nails hadn't grown you'd never have known they had been done more than three weeks ago. I can't wait to visit again. read more

My first time here was very shortly after salons were allowed to open due to Coronavirus. EXCELLENT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS post COVID. They have sneeze guards/protective plexiglass screens thoughtfully placed at all manicure and pedicure stations. They require you to sanitize on your way in and immediately wash your hands upon entering. It is appointment only to allow proper social distancing. Each employee is wearing fresh scrubs. I have not felt more safe in a public place since COVID. Highly recommend. read more

T is very good with powder nails. She's helpful in finding colors with me. She's fairly easy to get into.

I have been coming here since shortly after they opened. The service is excellent and they are very responsive to your requests and preferences. I often will call ahead and make an Appointment or arrive right when they open because it can get busy and I have a preference for who does my nails. Some of the perks include hot tea and an bottled water while they do your nails and both manicures and pedicures include massage. I love the relaxed and quiet atmosphere. Some places are so busy and noisy. The calm environment at stellar helps create a real pampering experience! read more

I'm really sad to say this wasn't the place. I opted for a basic pedicure and was really disappointed and dissatisfied. The young guy that did my toes did not apply a base coat and applied nail polish directly into my toe nails... he did not cut my cuticles and did not buff my nails as basic pedicures generally should. I opted for a soft pink/white and there is nail polish all over my skin, he also did a mediocre job on filling my nails. Overall I would not recommend. It's really unfortunate because this place is halfway between my and my friends house and we look forward to meeting up for manos and pedis. read more

I agree with the three star reviews. If I have to ask you more than once to please make sure you're getting the sides of the nail.... So I just went for the first time today and got a powder dip manicure. Everyone was very nice, the place was very clean, but I had to keep on asking the nail tech to make sure that they got the sides of the nail. I also have a pet peeve about how far they stop before the cuticle. I don't want to come out of the salon looking like I already have a week's worth of grow out. I'm sure I could probably be more directive next time, so I might try them again, but beware. read more

The experience was average. My friend and I made a quick reservation at 6PM but only ended up not being served until 6:30 PM and after one lady came in after us with a reservation at 6:15. The price listing for a 'classic manicure' stated $16 but when we were asked to pay, it was only $10. It is a great price for the effort used to paint my nails. Leo painted my nails and was very nice. I had picked two colors and we had a small miscommunication about which nails I wanted to be painted a certain color. The employees cut and buff your nails but ask you to pay before painting your nails. He did make a mistake on painting my ring finger a different color but I was able to point it out and he apologized immediately and cleaned it with wiping alcohol. He started with a base coat then put three coats of the much lighter color on my ring fingers and only two coats of the neutral color on the rest of my fingers. He finished it off with a top coat. The whole process only took about half an hour as he just kept painting on top of my nails without having them dry. After he was done, he guided me to the drying desk where I simply just sat there to let my nails dry. The setting was very nice. The crystal-glass chandelier definitely was the emphasis of the room as it was right above the round table where all of the nail polish was. The nail polish was sorted by color and brand which was very satisfying to me. There were many desks for manicures and many chairs for pedicures. read more

Been here a few times. They do a very good job, but doesn't matter if you make an appt or walk in- they take first come first serve and take a very long time. Went recently and even though I called and scheduled an appt I had to sit and wait when when I came in. Then they took a very long time to do the pedicure and by the time it came to so my nails I had to leave, which was frustrating because many other people came in and they did their finger nails first. Perhaps they need to work on their scheduling system. read more

before Covid this salon was great, seems like they are rushing people around. They set a timer for my nails to dry for 10 minutes. After appearing dry at first I got up and left. I can't believe I spent $65 on my nails, I will not be going back. read more

Nail salon very clean but the pricing is not transparent. I scheduled gel mani and pedi. As the nail tech removed the pedi gel she said it will be additional $20 for gel pedi than price listed. If I chose not to do gel pedi than and extra $5 to have taken off. She used two different colors one hand and feet. I had asked for the same color on my mani and pedi. She insisted they were the same. On top of that, there is a 3.5%surcharge for using credit card. Beware of service at this establishment. Overall just a mediocre manicure and pedicure. read more

I am from out of town and saw that this place had great reviews so I called and made an appointment days in advance. I was a little early and they took me right away. They have arrows on the floor and plastic shields for COVID that are too disruptive. I chose the classic pedicure for $30 and they still did callus scrub and 15 minute calf and foot massage. They found the matching color in gel polish for my manicure which was great. He did three coats because it was a light color which some people will not do. Took their time and did not feel rushed or that they cut corners. AND THEY LINE THEIR PEDICURE TUBS!!! Always important for me to have that. Would definitely recommend for anyone in the South County area and I will be back! read more

Went there with a few of my friends a few weeks ago (with appointments) to try a dip powder manicure for the first time. My friends got a gel manicure and a pedicure respectively, so we got to experience a bit of everything between the three of us. Joann worked with me to do a french fade/ombré on my nails, and I am OBSESSED! She did so amazingly and although adding the design was a bit more expensive than the plain dip manicure, it was so worth it. The salon is expansive and very clean, too! I never leave bad reviews but like....this was bad. It took almost two hours to do dip powder (any other place is like an hour tops) and the girl completely butchered my nails. At the end of the appointment, one of the women held up my hand and was laughing at my nails with another one of the employees and I was just thinking sis REALLY?
