My friend and I were looking for a salon in the area on our way to a weekend visit in Newport. Found Salon Nailz here on Yelp and couldn't have been happier. The salon, compared to the foggy cold day, was a warm oasis with beautiful flowers and a comfortable decor. The women were fun and friendly, and most importantly the quality of their work is EXCELLENT. They took the utmost care in our gel mani and regular pedi - our nails are still stunning a week later and I'm sure they'll last another long while. Great quality, great people. read more

Completely unsure how this nail salon doesn't have full 5 stars on all reviews. This is hands down the best nail salon on Aquidneck Island. They are professional, on time, great at manicures and pedicures, and they are happy to make adjustments as need be. I got spoiled in San Diego with the best nail salon ever so finding something I am happy with is hard now that I've moved. This is the closest I've come to my favorite nail salon and these ladies are great. The salon is clean and they paint all the way to the bottom of your nails. They really do a great job and my search for a good nail salon on the island is complete. read more

I went here as a walk in on Friday afternoon. From the second I walked in everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I had a spa mani & pedi done by Christina. She was amazing and great. She listened to what I wanted and took her time doing my nails. Most places on the island are so in a hurry when it comes to nail service, that the quality of service lacks. Those places are more in tune to making money then giving the best quality, but here the quality of service is 5 star. I will definitely be returning. read more

I hate to say this, but I believe I would have had more friendly AND KNOWLEDGABLE service at the mall. If you are in a crunch and need a basic pedicure (meaning JUST nail polish) then this may work for you. You know those scrub brushes you clean your nails with? Imagine a slightly longer/bigger one. Now imagine having that brushed (medium coarse bristles) across the front of your toes and THEN .... wait for it..... taken to brush the FRONT of your leg from knee to ankle (Ouch!!!!) In the 20 plus years I have had pedicures, I have NEVER had ANYONE scrub the front of my leg... ONE TO THREE times in an up and down fashion (SCRAPING) across the FRONT of both legs. I am an RN so I am pretty sure: #1) My leg was NOT full of mud, nor did I need a deep scrub. #2) I am not sure that is considered part of a pedicure. I have ZERO idea what she was trying to do. She seemed like a COMPLETE amateur. I should have asked for a copy of her license, but I did not. My bad. I will NEVER return. Paid $29 plus a tip (regardless of her lack of skill). Please save your money and do if yourself. read more

Quiet and clean. 3 staffers and 2 customers when I arrived. Ok regular nail polish selection. Greater selecton of gel polishes. Had a polish change on toes. No design or anything extra. Charged $15. A bit expensive for basic service. Price board indicated $11 and up. Would never get a pedicure as I observed a cheese grater type of device being used. Thought that was banned from nail salons in 2013. Shop was friendly to customers they were familiar with. read more

I didn't like my nails . I felt like they were rude as soon as I got there . I was "too early " for my appt and one of the ladies felt the need to ask why did I come so early . All of my nails were different size and BULKY. My friends even commented and thought that I let someone new at doing nails practice on me . There is one lady that was doing nails next to me and hers seem pretty legit . I believe her name is Cat . I would never go back. read more

I went and got a full set put on and at first they looked great but after a week in they started to turn a black color and fade from blue to a black/ grey and they all started popping off. I went in to see if they would fix them and they began to say the staining was from dirt and makeup which is not true. I've been wearing acrylic nails for years now and thats never happened. wouldn't even fix my nails for a cheaper cost and dismissed my dissatisfaction. DO NOT GO HERE.... It says walk-ins available but when we walked in the first thing the chic said was we're to busy to take anyone. I am new to the area and heard great things gs so I decided to try it, never heard any nail salon say they were to busy to take anyone. If you are to busy and there is only 2 people working then they need to hire more people. read more

Doesn't take walk ins so can't really review properly. Just make an appointment. They really should advertise as a nail salon without walk ins if they don't take them. There is a lot of traffic in Newport so people really count on the walk in advertising. read more
