Ruined my nails. The 'helpful' man that steps in when the ladies are busy used a coarse file to scratch the surface of the gel on my nails, in the process to remove the old gel, and managed to scrape into my nails not just the gel. I had a manicure here in very early February '26 and now, mid April, I'm still dealing with splitting and breaking nails. Probably another six months before the damage has grown out and in the meantime- no polish until then. VERY DISAPPOINTED. read more

People are nice, but it is definitely no-frills. No added amenity like other salons. No warm towel, massage of lower leg with pedicure, no hand rub with manicure. These are the nice touches that keep patrons coming back. read more

Excellent services, clean, professional and friendly. I highly recommend VIPNails on Boston Neck Road in Narragansett. read more

Disappointing! I felt like I was a bother to them. I had a pedicure. No leg or foot massage, no pampering. I won't be back. When going into a nail salon, you are there to feel better and to get pampered, I did not walk out of there feeling good. read more

I had a wonderful experience at VIP 2! I'm not one to typically get my nails done, so I looked at reviews at all the local nail salons and they all seemed to be rated pretty poorly- so I just took a gamble and went to VIP 2. I walked in without an appointment, I got sat right away and I had a really wonderful experienced woman give me a French manicure. She did the manicure relatively fast, however the quality of the nails were amazing! French manicures often look sloppy, but this one is great. She was efficient, kind and made my nails beautiful. I will definitely come back!! read more

It was ok- I like more of massage on legs etc and even on my hands with cream.. this was a no frills place. Clean, neat and tidy and my nails and toe nails with regular polish and looked nice. read more

Dip mani and gel pedi - overall nails turned out great. They do not have a color pallet to choose from. For dip - you just look at the containers and pick, which is extremely hard since the powder and the color can vary quite a bit! I ended up just going with a color she recommended because I couldn't tell the difference between a bunch of dip jars. read more

This was my nail salon of choice when I'm down by the beach. Each time I have a great experience. My pedicure was relaxing and included a memorable foot massage. The salon is clean and the staff are personable and excellent at their job. Lots of color options. They are conveniently located on the way to the beach so call ahead in the summer but they do take walk Ins. Prices are also very reasonable. I'll be back! read more

Came in here bc I had a bad in-grown toenail... couldnt walk for days. Was debating on going to a doctor. I came in without an appointment and was seated immediately. Never had a pedicure or been in a nail salon so i was a bit weary of going in. Staff was super friendly and wasnt grossed out by my toe. I forget who took me but she fixed my toe within minutes! Pain was instantly releived followed by a pretty good foot massage. Place is spotless and very modern. I don't get pedicures or manicures but if i did this would be my go to.... read more

Kathy is hands down thee best nail tech I've ever had!!! She does the best acrylic nails . I don't no how she does it but good lord she does! The place is gorgeous and very clean. I make appointments and I'm seen as soon as I walk in. She should get some type of award for her work. read more

They used to do a great job here. I dont know what happened? Maybe they got too busy for their own good? I went in for a 3pm pedi, and had, I swear, 3 different people do my pedicure! Which is not a good thing mind you, cause they didnt know where the last person left off. I was just really looking forward to soaking my feet and relaxing, not wondering who was going to be touching my feet next. I used to love this place. It makes me sad. Ill probably give them another try, but maybe go early in the am? read more

I have come here before and really liked it. However, today I had an appointment for 4 mani pedi at 10am, showed up and nobody is here. I have been waiting 30 minutes and even with business hours saying they are open and having an appointment that was made days ago nobody is here. Very unprofessional. read more

Absolutely the best nail salon in the area. Great quality service, friendly, family owned business for 17 years. Can't say enough about this place. Highly recommend! Love it! read more

I love this place! My go-to nail salon in the area. Everyone here is so welcoming and caring. I recently started getting acrylic nails and the woman doing them was super informative and helpful with any questions i had. It's family owned and they all do an amazing job. I definitely recommend making an appointment when going in since so many of their clients already make appointments there may be a wait time for walk ins. read more

They are not following COVID guidelines. Also they raised the prices. Basically stay away

My daughter & I stopped in right when they opened on Monday at 10:00, she had a gel manicure done there a couple of weeks back but needed to have it removed for a dance show. Upon arrival, the gentleman put my daughter's hands in a bowl of acetone to soak the nail polish off (I have never been to a salon where they soak your hands in acetone, is that even safe?) then he left her to soak for 20 MINUTES while tending to someone else, finally I said "Her hands are starting to burn are you going to tend to her?" He replies with "I have two employees that are late" A few moments later an elderly gentlemen & elderly woman come in, he instructs the elderly gentleman to wrap my daughters nails with acetone & foil, which was like instructing a toddler to do nails, it took him at least another 15 MINUTES just to wrap her nails, he was so awkward, clearly not an adequately trained manicurist by any means!! So now we are at 35 minutes and still do not have her nail polish removed!!?? After having the foil sit for another 5 minutes the younger gentleman begins scraping the polish off, by the time he is done, we had been there for 47 MINUTES!! A process that usually takes less than 10 minutes at other salons. 1. Don't leave someone soaking in acetone and unattended like that! He should have just told us to come back later! Weirdest part is he never even apologized for the ridiculous amount of time it took just to remove the nail polish! 2. That elderly gentleman should not be doing nails, he clearly is NOT properly trained! 3. This isn't the first time we've been there and the employees are either late or distracted with phone calls about family issues. No one wants to hear about the manicurist's son needing a ride home from school, or employees constantly being late or blah blah blah. Most people getting manicures & pedicures are there to relax, this is why I didn't complain in the salon, in respect to the two woman getting services done. Between all the family drama, employees constantly talking on the phone and the blaring tv, this is most definitely not a relaxing place!! We will not be returning!! read more

Walked in at 10:30 on a weekday and they took me right away. I got a good, thorough pedicure and my feet feel great after. Also was happy about the UV lights in the footbath( UV kills bacteria) and sealed sterilized instruments. read more

I got the worst gel manicure ever! A 5 year old kid could have done a better job than the lady who did my manicure. 1- The polish was applied uneven. 2- It started peeling off on day three! 3- The polish was not only uneven but it had an streaky finish. 4- The gel polishes were not high quality. 5- The lady who did my nails had a bad attitude. 6- She even trimmed and shaped my nails in a very sloppy and unprofessional way. The gel manicure was cheap ($25) but I hated it the minute she put the first coat on! I will never go back to this place. The overall feeling of this nail place was anything but relaxing. Save your time and money! I am so sorry I left the place without confronting and at least getting my money back and receiving an apology... read more

I receive the best pedicures from Anne . They do excellent work ,and shop and utensils very clean. They do get very busy so you are better off to make an appointment. read more

Love this place! Family owned and everyone is so nice. Best mani and especially pedi- great leg and foot massage. Very clean, all instruments sterilized after each customer, which is not always the case at other salons. Wouldn't go anywhere else! read more

i have been a client of VIP Nails in Narragansett for several years. The woman there are professional, personable and courteous. As a nurse who is on her feet all day, I regularly get pedicures and look forward to how wonderful my tootsies feel at the end of the spa. I have also had regular manicures. First "just a manicure", then for my son's wedding 3 years ago I went for the gel. In the last 4 months I have switched to the "dip"! Talk about bang for your buck. My hands always look great, no chipping, cracking, peeling and it lasts easily 3-4 weeks. I would highly making an appointment with this salon and continue to support local business! read more

Absolutely the worst mani/pedi I have ever had! I called in the morning to make an appointment. I asked for 6 pm and they asked if I could come in at 5:30 to allow enough time for the mani/pedi as they closed at 7. I arrived at 5:15. I was told they would be right with me and after picking a color I was directed to a pedicure chair where I soaked and waited for 45 minutes! I received a few "just a few minutes" while soaking. When the man finally came to do the pedi @ 6 pm he commented that my nails were very soft to which I responded that they were soaking for a long time!. He did both the mani/pedi in 1/2 hour! He was out of the store by 6:30 while I still dried. I did get a apology from someone who explained that they got busy. WHy take reservations if you do not honor them? I also object to big screen tv's in salons that cater to women that blast sporting events. Obviously the preference of male employees not the customers. If I want to watch ESPN I will go to a bar not a nail salon! Terrible experience, DON'T go there! read more

THE best foot massage and overall pedicure I've ever had. Amazing! Just wish I didn't live so far from this gem

My sister-in-law and I took our five year old daughters here to have mani pedis while we got a pedicure. They were so good with them and the price was great. We all had a great time and our pedicures have lasted great over a week later, even after spending lots of time in the sand. Thank you!! read more

Overall I was pleased with the pedicure I received from the older woman who runs the place. Ann I think her name was. She was very friendly and accommodating with my last minute walk in. She made sure I liked the length of my nails and the polish. I'd definitely come here again. This family has been in the business for 16 years and deserve the business from the local community. read more

I booked appointments for 8 of us to have mani's and/or pedi's the day before my wedding in August. It was a Saturday afternoon and also a very busy time of year. Each of us had only one attendant throughout our experience and it was not at all rushed. I booked here because their prices are terrific and they do a good job. For someone who has nails done only 3 or 4 times a year, it is always a treat. It is troubling to see that when others have a negative experience, the first response is to go online anonymously and pan that business. When the business has only a few reviews, it really hurts the business. The previous reviewer did not seem to have made an appointment and while they take walk-ins, it's probably a good idea to secure your time and space. They probably didn't know how to say they had reached their limit that day. I am giving them 5 starts, not because there isn't a better environment--sure, if you went to a spa with candles and comfy chairs and soft music with fresh fruit and gourmet tea, it might be nicer, but it would cost 3x as much. These people work hard and I just wish people would give businesses a chance before panning a business online. read more

I had a very sloppy french mani/pedi here. The shape was awful, the white line was uneven and way too thick. I even asked the women to give the line more of a curve and she didn't. The gel polish was bumpy and you could see thru the white part on some nails. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is that they refunded my money. I would never go back again but at least I got the refund to go pay for my nails to get fixed elsewhere. read more
