UPDATE: As of December 7th, I am now also sick lol. Just really disappointing. I'm not usually one to write reviews and I've frequented Lee Nails quite a few times during the 5 years that I've lived in RI but this last experience will definitely be my last time returning. Their prices are great and I usually have satisfactory experiences here so I was not expecting this. My nail tech was EXTREMELY sick and most definitely should not have been at work unfortunately. She was wearing a mask and they do have the plexiglass still up at each station, so there is that. That being said, she was so sick that her mask was wet from the inside, she was spitting into the trashcan next to her, rubbing her nose, it honestly sounded like she had trouble breathing and her cough sounded...wet. I really hope she feels better, because she did not sound good. Not that it matters but I paid full price and tipped. Very basic gel manicure which is what I usually get, single color. I've been going to Lee all 4 years as a student at URI. I've only had good experiences- inexpensive compared to other places nearby and good service. I hated a nail color I chose (my own fault) and asked if I could get it redone the next day and they were very kind to let me do so for a great discount. Definitely recommend! read more

I had 2 separate "nail techs". One for my "manicure" the other for my pedicure. They both filed my skin. The lady who did my manicure filed my skin multiple times, I had to snatch my hand away. She was rough. I had dip done and she did not know what she was doing. My nails are disgusting. She didn't even perform a manicure, just applied dip after shaving my nail down. This is suppose to be a relaxing experience, My experience was horrible. I have never left a salon and been adamant that I was not going to tip. Nor have I ever tipped less than 15%. I did end up giving her $5 because she asked. I was not going to tip, the service was horrible! I won't ever be back, I don't think the ladies can see and I am certain they are not licensed!!! read more

This place is a crapshoot. You will get a great tech or someone who should not be in the business and you could do a better job yourself. I just got the worst pedicure I've ever had. she did not remove all the dead skin. My cuticles weren't pushed back fully, dead skin was not completely removed, the point where they massage your legs was just rubbing, and one nail wasn't even painted completely. I had to aak for the color and went to fox it myself but a different tech stepped in. Won't be going back. read more

DO NOT go to the woman at table 9. After going to every other nail artist in there with super kind energy this woman was HORRIBLE. She cut me three different times, could not work with REGULAR NAIL POLISH and stated under her breath how it was a waste of time. I don't usually care about talking it's whatever they feel most comfortable with but the only thing she said to me was so passive aggressive and full of attitude that I didnt even respond. There are very few times where I am shocked to that point. The unprofessionalism and just upset was insane from a place that is supposed to be relaxing. As someone who also works in customer service I am not paying for that kind of behavior. I am not returning until she gets fired because of how genuinely angry and horrible the whole experience was. I went home and ended up taking off the gloppy, streaky polish because it never dries after she applied a thick top coat. I did a better job repainting them at home which is insane. read more

I went to get a fill today previously I went there and lady at table nine damaged my nail from over filing corner of my nail so it was infected this time she charged me extra to replace the nail she destroyed I didn't want to go back but was embarrassed to go to another place with my damaged nail it was probably also due to dirty unsanitary tools she used on me , her station was discussing and she kept burning my fingers with the dremel whatever the machine is they use for filing it was very traumatic read more

I hesitated to schedule an appointment as from the outside it appears to be a small strip mall establishment. A friend of mine recommended that I go. It isn't a glamorous spa environment but the service is great! The quality of work is excellent. Pricing is good. They are open long hours 7 days a week which fits my schedule. I have returned now several times and am always happy with the results for dip manicures and pedicures. Other friends also go here for waxing and eyebrow cleanup. Really nice staff. read more

First of all, the nail tech was on the phone the entire time making the whole experience 0% relaxing. The staff was surly and generally unpleasant. My technician kept looking at the door or at the clock. I asked her if she was waiting for someone to come in. Even after that, she continued to watch the other customers and not at the task at hand. I requested that she cut my nails very short. That amounted to talking to myself. The woman was wearing pointed blue nails. She used her pointed thumb to hold down my big toe so she could paint it. And, then had the nerve to tell me to stop moving. I told her to stop hurting me and I would. By this time, I was angry with her. There is a lovely place on Rte. 108, Park Nails. The people are accommodating and always polite to their customers. They were so busy today that I went to Lee's. There will never be a 'next time' with Lee's. read more

Worst pedicure I have ever had. I made an appointment and asked to maKe sure I had someone experienced that would do a good job. This was a birthday gift from a friend, I am so disappointed. It wasn't busy at all, for some reason the tech seemed like she couldn't be bothered, and rushed right through. my nails are all uneven, polish doesn't cover all my toes. Lee Nails is my favorite nail salon out of any in the two states I live in- Maine and Rhode Island. With a student ID you get 20% off any service any day of the week and that's hard to beat. They do 20% off any service for anyone on Tuesdays. The women here do a wonderful job and I don't think there has been one time that I've left here not completely satisfied. They're very friendly and patient. It's best to go during a time when they're not super busy, but they move relatively quickly. I've never had any issues with the cleanliness of the facility. I go here when I want to treat myself. Shellac manicures are only $25 ($20 with student ID) and they have a huge variety of colors to choose from. NOTE: They can only accept tips in cash, so make sure to have a few extra bucks on you when you go! Believe me, you'll definitely want to be tipping them well. They do accept credit cards for payment. read more

Will never be returning here and will be advising others to not waste their money. Going to another nail salon now to get this removed and redone. read more

I called at 1:30pm to make an appointment for 4pm, I arrived at 3:52pm used the ladies room and by the time I was asked the reason for my visit it was 4:02, two younger ladies who arrived after me were seated and nail techs shortly started to work on them. It's now 4:17pm and I ask how much longer and when I was told "im coming right now" by a nail tech that was clearly still working on someone else .. that's when I knew my time wasn't being respected nor treated as fairly as the other individuals.. bothers me more that I took time out of my day to share a negative experience. read more

They were easy and quick to make an appt once covid ended. I made an appt for a bunch of family members. We all literally paid the same price for a pedicure yet the women were given 1.5 hrs while the men were done in 15 minutes. Not to mention they cut our toes and the nails were all uneven and never did a callous removal or massage. read more

Do not go here ! My friends blue acrylics are extremely bumpy and has an uneven color. Her experience was very rushed. My nails the purple, we're fine at first but the next day they started turning brown and cracking. We had two different nail techs and both are unsatisfied with our nails. Had a nice experience as a first-timer to this salon. My technician was very friendly and took her time with my shellac manicure. She even recommended a different top coat color when she thought my original choice was too dull. Nail shape looks great and the color hasn't chipped at all! Only negative: called a day ahead to make an appointment, but when I arrived I had to wait for a few walk-ins to go before me. I sat down about 20 minutes after my scheduled time. read more

this is my second time going here. the first time they did an awful job, it was a simple four color design. one of the nails was supposed to be grey and as she was putting it on it seemed fine but when she was done it was an ugly pink that color changed to grey in cold water which isn't what i asked for. today i went back thinking i could give a second chance and asked for a simple design, it was a french tip but the middle wasn't filled so just two lines in the form of a tip. she said her hands weren't steady enough to be able to do it so i said that's fine and showed her a simple french tip design and she completely butchered them. i also think they are over priced and i do not recommend. i also payed $47 dollars and i do not think it's worth it what so ever, no matter the design. read more

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a nail salon. The nail lady was extremely rude to me and was physically hurting my nails. She would text and use her phone every 30 seconds when painting my nails which took 3x longer than usual. I was sitting not even a foot away from her and she coughed right into my face and laughed. Definitely will not be going back...I had to ask my nail lady to redo my nails even when i showed her a picture of what i wanted. She was also pretty rude and was on her phone texting and calling her friends, counting her cash, and would not bother to have a conversation with me despite my efforts. Also I went with a friend and they sat us on opposite sides of the room. My friend also had a bad experience and felt her nail tech wasn't very hospitable and seemed uncleanly (from the dirt under her nails and on her hands). I would recommend Stellar Nail Salon instead even though they are a bit pricier, i have never been disappointed with them! read more

I thought I'd try this place since it had somewhat good Yelp reviews. I wasn't pleased. My technician did spend time on my mani pedi but the gel mani I got was very sloppy. It looks like I did my nails myself. I appreciated the 20% student discount but I'd rather pay full price for a good final product. If you absolutely need your nails done, go here. Always have a long wait time when I make appointments in advance. Had to end up leaving with out getting my service.

I made an appointment - I was taken 30 minutes late and was told they would be able to finish my manicure so I could still leave on time. After doing everything but the polish - then told it would take 20 more minutes just for polish. I had to leave so they then charged me for a manicure and I never got my nails painted. I went in for a pedicure and was attended to right away, which was great as a walk in. The woman who did my service was very nice and friendly, however it felt like everything was rushed through. Awful experience. AWFUL. My pedicure took forever and was so-so. My 6 year old daughter got her nails done as well. It cost $20 for hers and they took about 2 minutes doing her nails. No care or "experience" for her. And they look like crap. No offense to my daughter, but she could have done her toes better. If they were going to handle it that way, they shouldn't be the cost of a regular pedicure. Spent $75 on our toes and I will be redoing them asap. Not happy! read more
